The sky had become orange red was gone, replaced by this blank canvas of a sky. It was as if an enormous fire had burnt out, leaving the ashes to cool. The air matched perfectly with the atmosphere, being frost bite cold and terribly windy. This also was the perfect conditions for the sky to start crying as if its tears could fill the hole in every pony's hearts. But it wouldn't be enough.

Twilight strolled into camp after looking over the extinguishing of several fires in the wreckage, making sure that nothing would be left that could harm the remainder of ponyville. Twilight held her breath while walking into the camp as the air was too rancid to breathe. 'If only i could cover my ears as well.' She thought while hearing the screaming of hundreds of suffering ponies. But she couldn't just muffle the screams, it would be selfish of her to do that. ' listen to their agony. Feel their pain.' She thought. Her way was blocked by a large tent that was serving as an emergency room. Twilight had to walk through the tent to reach her destination.

If the outside screams were horrid, then the scene in this tent was much worse. Ponies were laid on tables or boards of wood, while being operated on. There was at least 50 in the tent all covered in crimson blood and a few were missing limbs. One colt was screaming in pain as a large tree branch was impaled through his arm. The doctors and nurses ran around like crazy trying to maintain their patients. The smell was worse. It reeked of rot and burnt flesh, describing in gory details the many events that landed these innocent ponies in the tent. Twilight was relieved to be walking out of there.

Soon she walked into a large, ill colored tent that was serving as a conference room. Inside the other elements were seated in a circle using crude fold up chairs. The princess was sitting in between rarity and apple jack( who recently got there from the medical tent). She had thick bandages on her back legs, covering the burns she suffered from ranotoris bio flames. As twilight walked by her she gave a worrying glance to her friend. Apple jack gave a weak but assuring smile that she was fine.

Princess Celestia stood at the front of the table, staring down upon all the ponies. She seemed tired and over worked. She was also very, very irritated. Her eyes were narrowed making the lines under them even more wrinkled. She had a frown that, combined with her eyes, was menacing to the ponies. " Now that Twilight is with us, we can begin our meeting." The princess quickly looked around to make sure that every pony was accounted for. " As we know, there is no proper or civil way to destroy these monsters. Both have scales or feathers that render our fire power useless. And ranotori has the ability to fly and can travel long distances in minutes. Godzilla is unpredictable, we can only guess as to what he might do next. Ranotori has already been showing a pattern in his behavior and might be easier to defeat than Godzilla. " celestia talked in such a manor as none the ponies had ever heard from her. She talked about the monsters with hatred, rage even. This shocked the six ponies a little at this tone that their princess was taking. " what we were talking about on the train, Fluttershys plan to lure the monsters elsewhere before disposing of them, that will be our goal from here on out. We will have to recreate large quantities of radioactive materials to attract both of the creatures. Then we can properly ... Destroy them." Noticing her mentors uneasiness about the part about killing the monsters, Twilight spoke up. " yes, that should work, but how do you plan on destroying them? They are resistant to anything we are able to throw at them and we have every thing short of the humans thermo nuclear weapons." To her amazement, the only thing celestia could say was " no, we cant." The ponies were confused. What in equestria was this princesss thinking? But she very quickly explained her plan. " thats why we are going to build one single nuclear bomb." Suddenly the confusion stopped and silence took hold. " but you didnt want to create a weapon such as that!" Twilight spoke to celestia. " well we have expanded too much effort and are risking a large amount of pony lives. We need this weapon. I don't want it, but this decision is now no longer a choice we can make freely. I have no other options." Celestia was almost in tears as she concluded her argument. " couldn't we just ummm ..." Every ponies heads turned towards fluttershy as she mumbled the end of her sentence. " could you please say that again?" Rarity asked. " we could just let them fight out their battle." The ponies stood shocked as they heard their peaceful friend suggest allowing such a level of violence be committed. But a few started thinking about this radical idea. " we could. Its just insane enough to work." Her smile was temporary. Celestia paced herself over to twilight, where she angrily slamed her hoof on the table. " NO! Dont you understand the consequences of allowing Godzilla to live? We must destroy him to assure equestrias safety?" Twilight looked in anger at her mentor. Slowly rising from her chair, twilight returned the princesses anger. " No, celestia, you dont understand the cost of interfering with nature. What do you think happened to the humans? You told us they all died because they messed with the natural balance. They played with true, raw natural power and blew themselves up. We don't want to have that fate befall us." Celestia thought for a moment about what she was just told. And of course she knew it was true. To pay for screwing with nature was worse than a destroyed city. It could mean the destruction of their entire species. " i guess that if we discuss this further we can reasonably come to a solution." Celestia said, allowing herself and twilight to sit down calmly.

In the next hour the ponies had finished their meeting and had come to a conclusion. The fires in the town had finally burned themselves out, leaving a warm waste land of pony ville. However a podium had been set up in front of the remains of the town hall. Banners decorated with celestia's insignia scrawled all over it. There were the evacuated towns ponies gathering back into town. Celestia and the mane six were gathered behind the podium, sitting in charred chairs. The accumulating audience was almost filling to the maximum. Seeing this, celestia got up from her chair to face the army before her. She looked upon her citizens, making notice of their wounds, both physically and mentally. She cleared her throat, and spoke." Citizens of equestria, we have been faced with an utmost terrible tradgedy: the destruction of pony ville. This town of yours has been brought to the fury of two titans that have have declared war and are content to fight one. We are at the middle of this conflict and need to be aware of how important it is to have hope in each other and to stay calm. Many of you have suffered injuries that have scarred you and your children longterm. As we may have realized, the end is very near. And i have justification to fear the finale of this land we hold dear. It is terrible to be in this situation but we must have high spirits to survive this war. " she quickly looked back upon her captivated ponies. " I don't know what we were thinking, opening a door to past mistakes. Now we suffer at the hands of nature. We are all being asked a question right now; to which shall we fall to? Fire? Or radiation? Or to ourselves even? I cant blame you for staying up into the night. Or having to witness this wars horrific sight. But there is something we can do to save ourselves from destruction and death. Say what i say; and I say, let them fight!" The crowd roared in applause and cheering. They saw the simplicity of those last few words, 'Let them fight'. Celestia had a solution: leave Godzilla to fight his own battle. For sure, he had to win, because he is of course, the King of all monsters. And nothing would get in his way now.

- this took too long to write. Originally i was saving celestias speech for the next chapter, however my account stopped working and i had to completely start over. Another technical difficulty was the original chapter. I had a long indulging chapter to start off with, unfortunately it got accidently deleted so i had to go back and rewrite the entire chapter. I just decided to include celestias speech in this chapter because i wanted to deviate away from the original chapter. I owe all of you who have patiently waited for this chapter a huge apology.
