1. Chapter 1
This story was requested by God of the Challenge. I hope you guys like it!
Summary: When Twilight is abandoned at the wedding rehearsal, she runs away from Canterlot in a fit of sorrow. But once in the Everfree Forest, Twilight finds something called a Fusion Loader and becomes a Digimon General! Now watch as she rises in the ranks, and uses this new power to protect Equestria from the dark clutches of the Bagra Army! Look out, world! The Dawning Twilight is about to take the world by storm!

Prologue: Voices in the Forest!
Sadness, hurt, anguish, and rage. These emotions were currently the only ones flowing through a certain Unicorn mare as she ran out the gates that led to the regal city of Canterlot.
The mare in question is a unicorn with a lavender colored fur coat and horn, along with royal purple colored eyes that were pouring out tears at the same rate as a mighty waterfall. Her mane and tail were straight and colored indigo with a single streak of purple and magenta in them, and she had a mark on her flank that consisted of an inverted six pointed star with six smaller white stars of the same design surrounding it.
This is Twilight Sparkle, personal student to princess Celestia and bearer of the Element of Magic. But why would she be running away in a fit of sadness?
Well, the answer to that will take a brief explanation. You see, Twilight and her friends were invited to help set up a wedding for Twilight's older brother Shining Armor, and his fiancé princess Cadence. At first, Twilight was mad at her brother for not telling her in person that he was getting married, but once she found out exactly WHO he was getting married to, Twilight jumped at the chance to help out. Until Cadence showed up, and started acting very suspiciously out of character. And it showed as the days leading up to the wedding passed.
The Cadence that Twilight knew was kind to everybody, and never spoke to anyone in a rude manner. But this particular Cadence was the exact opposite of what Twilight knew. First she threw away the bite sized apple pies that Applejack made, then she had the gall to force Rarity to change the designs of the Bridesmaid dresses, and WORST OF ALL-!
(Chowder: Worst of all?!)
'Cadence' had the nerve to insult Pinkie Pie's party planning skills for the reception! This set off some major alarm bells in the mare's head, so she tried confronting her friends about this, but they blew her off like it wasn't a serious problem. So in response to that, Twilight went to try and talk to her brother about these happenings. What she saw both threw her for a loop, and horrified her.
Shining Armor was talking to Cadence before the rehearsal, when he suddenly doubled over in pain from a massive headache. Cadence smiled evilly as her horn glowed with a sickly green aura, and she pressed it to Shining's temple. The magic flowed directly into the stallion's mind, and when he opened his eyes, they were wonky and glowing green! Naturally, this turn of events led Twilight to believe that Cadence had turned evil, so she galloped off to try and warn the others and put a stop to this wedding. But when she tried to confront them about this, it didn't go exactly as she imagined it.
Once Twilight had called Cadence out on her actions during the preparations, the pink Alicorn mare ran out of the wedding hall crying her eyes out. Neither Shining, nor Twilight's friends and the princess took Twilight's actions very well.
Heck, Shining Armor practically disowned Twilight in a fit of rage, and forbidden her from attending the wedding! The poor mare's heart shattered into a million pieces from this action, and she too broke out into tears from such actions. Not wanting to know what her friends and teacher possibly thought about her now, Twilight ran right out of the wedding hall with tears streaking down her face.
So here she is, running through a dangerous place such as the Everfree Forest with her heart broken possibly beyond repair. And I wouldn't put it past her that she's possibly hoping to get eaten by something like a Manticore, or maybe a pack of Timberwolves. Twilight stopped crying when she heard voices off in the distance of the forest. She wanted to run away in fear of it possibly being her brother with a troop of guards or her friends. However, Twilight took a moment to think about this in a more rational manner.
There were only two voices out there, and they sounded deep like they belonged to a couple of males. And neither of the voices sounded anything like her brother, or any of Celestia's guards. At least, not any that She knew about. Against her better judgement, Twilight began to trot off in the direction of the voices.
"Whoever is out there doesn't sound like anypony I know. But whoever they are, they might be in serious trouble!" Twilight said to herself.
With new found determination, Twilight pushed aside her sadness and self pity. She galloped off in the direction of the voices to get the answers that she seeks. Her eyes slightly saddened as she thought back to her friends and teacher.
"I wonder if they even know I'm gone…" Twilight thought to herself.
And the prologue is now complete! I have a plan as to which Digimon and Fusion Loader I want Twilight to receive, but I'd like your opinion on something. Should Twilight become anthro, or stay as a regular pony? Let me know what you think. Review, enjoy, and know that all flamers will be burned by Meramon!
2. Chapter 2
Well, it took me a while to think of something, but I've finally got something in mind for a new chapter! Also, you guys all made quality suggestions for the Fusion Loader that Twilight will have, but like I said in the first chapter I've already got something in mind. But for now, why don't we take a look at what is happening now?

Reactions of Friends! Meeting the Digimon!
Back in the castle of Canterlot, things were getting pretty hectic for everyone. Several of the guards were running about in an attempt to find someone, and so were the princesses, Twilight's brother, and the other Elements of Harmony. Why were they so frantic? Because they were looking for a certain lavender unicorn mare!
"Has anypony found Twilight yet?" Celestia asked.
"Not yet, your highness. But we'll keep looking!" replied a pegasus guard.
"This is all my fault!" Shining Armor said as he removed his helmet. "If I hadn't reacted the way I did, Twily wouldn't have left like this! I'm a horrible brother!"
Shining was cut off from his rant of guilt when a pink hoof placed itself on his shoulder. He looked up to see Cadence looking just as sad as he was. However, he could tell that she was struggling to keep in her tears.
"You're not a horrible brother, Shiny. If anyone's to blame here, it's me. If I didn't cause Twilight to think I was evil in the first place, none of this would've happened!" Cadence retorted.
After she had taken some time to calm down from what happened at the rehearsal, Cadence had decided to try and look at the situation from Twilight's point of view. She realized that Twilight was right. She (meaning Cadence) had been acting evil! She was so stressed out about the wedding and the upcoming invasion, she just couldn't keep up her usual kindly demeanor.
Once she realized her mistake, Cadence trotted off to Twilight's room to apologize for what she did and to possibly offer comfort her. But when she got to Twilight's room, she found that the mare was nowhere to be found!
This set off some serious alarm bells in Cadence's head, so she ran off to try and find Twilight. She ran into Shining Armor and the others soon after, and explained the situation. Celestia called up some of her finest guards to form up a search party, and they've been looking for Twilight ever since. But so far, they've had no luck in finding the missing unicorn.
"We are all at fault for this, I'm afraid." Celestia said. "While none of us technically abandoned Twilight, we still failed to heed her warnings."
"But we can't just give up on finding Twilight!" Rainbow Dash declared.
"And we ain't givin' up on her, Rainbow! But we need to think about any places that we haven't looked!" Applejack said.
"Your highness!"
The group turned around to see two unicorn guards galloping towards them. And judging from the looks on their faces, the situation seemed to be desperate.
"We found a trail of hoofprints heading off into the Everfree Forest! Our best guess is that a miss Twilight Sparkle ran off into the forest for unknown reasons!" the first guard informed.
The two were immediately bowled over by a stampede of worried ponies. Celestia and the others had taken off for the Everfree Forest at a breakneck pace in hopes of finding Twilight before it was too late. Little did they know was that Twilight was just about to meet with two entities that would help her unlock her true destiny!
***Meanwhile with Twilight***
As Twilight continued to gallop through the Everfree Forest, the two voices that she had heard began to grow louder and louder. She had slowed her pace to a trot so that she wouldn't overshoot the area. Pretty soon, she came upon a clearing where the voices were at their loudest.
"I'm telling ya metal face, we're lost!" said one voice.
"For your information, I was born with a natural sense of direction!" argued another voice.
"Ch'yeah, a natural sense of getting lost is more like it!" mocked the first voice.
"YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME?""
Twilight was wondering just who these voices belonged to, and was feeling more and more anxious about finding out. Carefully, the unicorn walked into the clearing. She looked around, and gasped at what she saw.
One of them was a giant creature that looked sort of like a giant reptile of some sort. It had blue skin with orange stripes on its body, and the end of its tail was the muzzle and blade of a Bayonet; a weapon that Twilight had only heard about by reading about it in a book. The top of its head was armored with a pair of curved horns on the sides, and it had a nose horn that looked like a metal blade. It stood like a theropod, and had three bony appendages on each knee.
The other one looked like a bird made out of metal. The majority of its body was blue, and it had some chrome silver armor here and there. It had a long, silver tail with a blue tip that had three red claws sticking out of it. Its wings were not at all shaped like a bird's wings.
The two creatures heard Twilight's gasp, and looked down at her. The unicorn was shaking with fear, but it wasn't directed at either of them. The two creatures followed her line of sight to see what appeared to be a pack of wolves that were made entirely out of wood. Their eyes were glowing an unholy yellow color, and they seemed to decide that these guys were their chosen prey.
"TIMBERWOLVES!" Twilight screamed.
The wolves charged in to try and make the kill as quickly as possible, but were intercepted by a bladed tail being brought down on them, and causing a huge explosion! Only two words were spoken before the attack had happened.
"Plasma Tail!"
The theropod had protected Twilight from the pack of hungry Timberwolves himself! The attack had not only destroyed most of the pack, but it sent the remainder of them running for their lives.
"AND STAY AWAY!" said the theropod.
"Nice job, Greymon!" said the robo bird.
"Thanks, Mailbirdramon." Greymon replied.
Twilight was in awe at what had just happened. These two creatures had just saved her life without so much as a thought for their own safety! She honestly thought that things couldn't get any stranger. But that's where she's wrong.
A ball of light began to materialize in her left hoof. When it died down, it revealed a small device that was rectangular in design, blue in color, and had a small gray screen on the front at the top.
"What is this thing?" Twilight asked.
Mailbirdramon and Greymon looked at the device in awe. It seemed impossible, yet there it was, plain as day! The two creatures said only three things in response to Twilight's question.
"...A Fusion Loader…!"
