  • 1. Sonata Dusk

So, this is what the dazzlings are doing after Rainbow Rocks. First chapter, Sonata!

Sonata was running. She didn't know where, but her main goal was to get away from there as fast as possible. She wanted to get away from them. Far away. She was crying. She didn't know where to go. Soon, her legs tired and she rested in a nearby alleyway. She had gotten away from them. She was safe, but she didn't have a home or any place to stay. She curled into a fetal position and wept. She heard footsteps coming near, and then a hand landed on her back in a soothing way. She looked up to find the face of Sunset Shimmer. Sonata just cried harder. Sunset wrapped her arms around her apologetically. "I'm sorry," she said. "I'm so sorry."

Sonata dried her tears and looked at Sunset Shimmer. "What are you doing here?"

"I just want to help. I take it you got separated from the rest of the dazzlings?"

"Yeah." She remembered the big fight between the dazzlings. She remembered the awful things they said to each other, and when Adagio and Aria stormed out of the abandoned building they lived in, to never come back. She cried on Sunset Shimmer's shoulder.

Sunset rubbed her back and soothed her. "Tell you what, how about we go to my house and I make some tacos, and you can tell me what happened. Does that sound good?"

Sonata sniffled and nodded and they both stood up and started walking to Sunset Shimmer's house. When they got there, Sunset put frozen tacos in the oven to heat up. They both sat down at a small table. "So, how did you end up on the street?"

Sonata took a deep breath and started telling the story.

It started about ten days ago, when the dazzlings had a big fight on what they should do. Adagio wanted to get away from the other two. "I can't live with you two idiots! You never listen to my orders, you absolutely suck at everything and aren't at all useful!"

"But we're a trio! We were made to be together! You can't just abandon us!" Sonata replied.

"Adagio's right. I'm out!" said Aria, and she stomped out the door.

Adagio followed suit, but she walked in the opposite direction of Aria. Sonata just stood there, with no friends, no family. Slowly, she began to walk out the door and down the street. A day or two later, she found a group of boys that kind of just took her in and gave her a place to stay, food to eat, and a bed to sleep in. She had felt safe, but after about a week some of the boys creeped up on her in the night. They started taunting her, backing her into a wall. That's when they attacked. They started groping her, still taunting. She kicked at them, but they were stronger. She tried to run, but they pinned her down. She was screaming and crying, now. She kicked hard at the nearest attacker, making him fall over. She hadn't had that much strength in a long time. But with all of the rest of them ganging up on her, she was no match. She tried to escape, tried to run, but they were holding her down with much strength, now. Once she thought this would be the end of the fight, that she would have to surrender, a new boy showed up behind the others. He had on a brown vest, a long-sleeved yellow shirt under that, a single fang among his other teeth, and his eyes were yellow with red irises. "Hey, leave her alone," he said.

The other boys sneered at him. "Oh, yeah? What'll you do to us Dipcord?"

He reacted immediately, making cotton candy clouds appear above the boys. They started to rain chocolate milk down on them, and they let go of Sonata. "Run!" he said.

She compelled, running, not knowing where, just running.

Sunset Shimmer listened intently until the end of her story. "That's horrible!"

Sonata nodded. "Now, I don't have anyone. No home. Nothing." She began to weep.

Sunset Shimmer put an arm around her. "You have me."

Sonata looked up at her. "For realsies? After all I've done?"

"Remember that you're talking to the girl who turned into a raging she-demon at the Fall Formal. Still can't live that down."

Sonata smiled. "I guess we aren't so different after all." She stood up and offered her pinkie to her. "Friendsies?"

Sunset interlocked her pinkie with Sonata's. "Friendsies."

They both enjoyed the tacos and Sonata slept on the couch for the night, as Sunset wrote another entry to Twilight Sparkle.

    Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle,

I have done something extraordinary. I have befriended an old enemy of yours and mine. Sonata Dusk. She used to be part of the Dazzlings, but now that they are separated, she has no place to go except for me. I have given her friendship, and I feel better about myself. Everyone deserves friends, especially in a time of need, and sometimes, the only solution to a problem is a good friend. Sonata is staying with me, now, and I hope she can forgive herself for what she and the Dazzlings have done. I worry for her. I had to forgive myself after the Fall Formal, and I made some decisions that I regret now. But now she has a friend to guide her through this tough time for her. I'll protect her.

    Your friend, Sunset Shimmer

So, that's what I would like to have happened to Sonata after Rainbow Rocks! I must say that I don't particularly ship these two as a couple, mostly because I don't really feel like shipping Sunset Shimmer with anyone at the moment. If you do, then, by all means, take this as a romance chapter. If you don't, then don't. I don't really care. Anyway, next chapter will be what happened with Aria. Please favorite, follow, share, and review! :D

    2. Aria Blaze

Okay, second chapter! This one will be of Aria Blaze, my favorite of the Dazzlings! There is literally no reason why she is my favorite, so don't ask. On with the story!

Aria stomped moodily out of the bar she had just quit her job at. This was her third failed job of the week, and she was starting to run out of options. But she viewed quitting the bar was a good decision. The guys there just could not keep their hands to themselves. She turned and slumped in a nearby alleyway, sighing as she flopped on to the pavement. What the hell am I going to do? she thought. She couldn't go back to all-too-demanding-leader Adagio or that idiotic Sonata. No. She had to find a way to live by herself, with absolutely no one else's help. This was going to be hard. It had been so easy before, to just hypnotize any random person into giving what they wanted. Now, she was powerless, broke, and helpless. Crap, Aria, you've got to get up. You're strong. You are brave. You are independent. She stood up and checked her surroundings. There was a trash bin nearby. She checked inside of it to see if there was anything thrown away that could be of use. The only things salvageable were a half-eaten pizza slice, an almost-empty carton of orange juice, and an apple core. She ate this like it would be the last thing she would ever eat, which, it probably would be if she didn't hold out. She wiped her mouth, satisfied with her meal. She walked down the almost-deserted street. The only people out at this hour were teenagers running home as fast as they could, hoping not to be grounded by their parents. Still looking at her surroundings, she spotted a flyer on the ground. She picked it up. On it, it said "Help Wanted. Singer. Come to this address" She could't believe it. The audition date was tomorrow. She contemplated it. Should she do it? She hadn't sung without the intention of hypnotizing anyone since... never. The act they had put up when their amulets broke was to mask the fact that at the time, they couldn't use their magic, but their voices were still as they always had been. Aria checked the address. It wasn't too far away. She decided to walk there tonight, so she could be one of the first ones there. She walked to the place and waited, desperately hoping that she could get in.

She woke up the next day when a flurry of leaves snapped at her face. She looked up at the sun. She could tell by the sun that it was still quite early in the morning. She got up and went to a public restroom. There, she splashed water on her face, fixed her hair, and cleaned the dirt off of her clothes so she could look at least mildly presentable. With a fast-beating heart, she entered the auditioning area. It was in a bowling alley, with a table at which sat three people, two girls and a guy. The one in the middle had green, short, spiky hair, and had large hoop earrings. "Can I help you?" she asked.

"I saw the help wanted flyer. I'm pretty sure I'm the best at singing, so let's just get this over with," Aria said, her voice full of attitude. Being a singer for many years, she knew a thing or two about acting.

The girl on the left smiled. She had violet hair and blue skin. "I think I like this one."

Aria noticed a DJ that she knew by the name of Vinyl Scratch was on the side of the room. "What song do you want to sing?"

"I think you already know," Aria said.

Vinyl nodded, understanding. Aria went up to a microphone in the center of the room and began to sing as the music played.

    Oo-oh-oh Oo-oh-oh,

You didn't know that you fell,

    Oo-oh-oh Oo-oh-oh,

Now that you're under my spell.

She sang the rest of the song, feeling very good about herself. She had never sung an actual song just by herself before. She was usually just a background singer. It felt great to be in the spotlight, other than Adagio. When she finished, the judges clapped. "Oh, I thought you looked familiar. You're that Aria girl, right?" said the girl on the left.

Aria looked slightly to the floor. "Uh, yeah?"

The guy on the left with the red mow hawk rose and smiled ecstatically. "Oh my gosh! We're your biggest fans! I'm Crimson Napalm, it's great to finally meet you," he said, shaking her hand.

Aria shook it, surprised. "Um, well, I didn't know I had fans," she said.

The girl on the left stood up. "Don't have fans? You're the favorite one of the Dazzlings among the punk rockers! Heck, all punks! I'm Mystery Mint, it's a pleasure meeting you."

I have fans? I'm the favorite Dazzling? Aria thought to herself. The girl in the middle finally stood up. "I'm Lyrock," she said smiling. "And I think you just landed yourself a position in the band."

Yeah, this was a very short chapter, but I'm in middle school, and with middle school comes classes, homework, clubs, etc. Also, I had to stay after school because the school play I'm in is in, like, a day. Anyway, I hope you liked this chapter! Review, follow, favorite, share! :)

    3. Adagio Dazzle

Okay, the possible final chapter of this! It took me a while to figure out what to do with Adagio. But I think it was a good idea. Hope you enjoy!

Adagio sat silently in a small cafe. The same cafe she and the other Dazzlings would stir up trouble in. The small cafe was packed, surprisingly. Some kind of meeting was going on. She could hear the people in the booth behind her talking. She paid them no heed. She held her pendant in her hand and smirked, liking the familiar weight in her palm. Now was the perfect time, when the place was packed to the brim, all sorts of trouble could rise. She clasped the necklace around her neck and started singing. It wasn't the same without Aria and Sonata in the background, but it was still effective enough to gain enough power to hypnotize a few people. Aaaah- aah- ah- aaah- ah. Aaaa- aah- ah- aaah- ah. A green, sparkling aura began to surround the cafe and a lot of the people started arguing. Adagio could feel her magic getting stronger as the green aura became thicker.

She didn't notice the people in the booth behind her, along with some of the other booths, turning to see where the magic was coming from. One booth had a woman with blue green hair, pith black skin, and snakelike eyes. Beside her was a little girl with pink and white hair in pigtails, and a crown hair clip in it. Across from her was another girl her age with white hair in a braid and purple glasses. Next to her was a girl with yellow eyes, white, feathery hair with a purple tinge on the edge, and white skin. In another booth, the one behind Adagio's had a man with wavy black hair, dark as shadows, and red eyes. Along with Trixie, the one girl from the old school Adagio pretended to go to. There was also three boys that slightly resembled dogs, in a way, with diamonds in their pockets. There was also a booth with a girl with basically the same color scheme as Aria, but she had bangs and her hair was bunched up on the top of her head and had purple eyes. (I'm pretty sure you bet the idea. It's all of the villains. Also, notice that the diamond dogs are next to Trixie. *hint hint* Son-in-Law of Discord *hint hint*) The villains were under a magical barrier, so no magic could be used against them. That is why they weren't affected by the siren's spell. The woman with the blue green hair found Adagio, the aura gathering around her as she finished collecting the magic. The woman stood up from her table and went over to where Adagio was sitting. "Hello, my name is Chrysalis. I believe you have experience with the art of magic?"

Adagio narrowed her eyes at the woman. She seemed familiar... "Yes. It's how I'm still here, after all."

"Well, do you happen to know a girl that goes by the name of," Chrysalis snarled a bit while saying the name, "Twilight Sparkle?"

"Yeah, but I don't exactly have a, let's say, friendly past with her. I swear, she tried to kill me with that musical counter spell."

"I know the feeling," Chrysalis said, sitting herself across from Adagio. "And some others, too." She gestured around the cafe to the other villains and vilenesses.

Adagio looked at the other people and was quite surprised at how many there were. She recognized quite a few of them from school and other places around town. The girl who looked like Sonata, who was watching the two converse, got up from her table and introduced herself. "Hi, I'm Starlight Glimmer. I'm known as the element of cruelty. Chrisy here is known as the element of deceit. We also have Sombra as the element of gloom," she motioned to the black-haired man with red eyes, "disloyalty is Teirek," she pointed at a muscular man with red skin, yellow eyes, and black hair. "And we used to have an element of evil magic. But he went and ran away to the woods and met some petty girl. Anyway, we are right now looking for an element of greed," Starlight smirked. "And a lot of us think you match the description very well."

    "How?" Adagio asked.

Sombra spoke up and said "You took all of the leadership in the Dazzlings for yourself. You ruled over Aria and Sonata with an iron fist, never letting each one of them near even second in command. You used and still use your magic for only your own personal benefit. And we can use your magic to get something that we all know you want." He stopped for dramatic effect and all of the elements of disharmony said in unison, "Revenge."

Adagio thought for a moment. "So, what exactly are these 'elements' you're talking about?"

Each one of them held out a pendant shaped like various things. Teirek's was the shape of a yellow triangle of some sorts. Sombra's was the shape of a red eye. Chrysalis had a green flame shape. Starlight's was a blue star. Chrysalis also retrieved from a pocket a brown one shaped like a swirl. "These crystals put together create a powerful weapon that matches the blast you took from them back in the battle of the bands. But we're missing one," Starlight Glimmer said, pointing at Adagio's necklace. "We believe that is the last element we need, and with you as the wielder, we can finally have revenge on Twilight Sparkle and her friends."

Adagio got a wicked gleam in her eye as she thought of it. Finally, she would get revenge. That was what she wanted all this time. "When do we get started?"

The elements along with some of the other villains who weren't put on guard duty walked to a clearing in the park. They checked to see that no one was around. They then started the conversion. They all placed the five elements in a circle on the ground and put Adagio's pendant in the center. "Okay, so we'll need to convert most of our magic into our own element, but because the element of dark magic is no longer with us, we'll just have to convert a tiny fraction of our magic into it," Starlight said.

The group stepped back, and one by one, the elements started to glow with magic. Last to light up was the element of dark magic, and when it did, a beam of darkness shot out of it and it landed right on Adagio's pendant. It stayed like that for a while, but when it stopped, Adagio's pendant revealed its true self as the element of greed. It was a purple treble clef, with a diamond shape on the right side of it. Adagio picked up her new and improved element of disharmony. It still had the familiar weight in her palm as the other pendant did. All of the villains came around the circle of five elements and proclaimed, "All hail the elements of disharmony!"

The five stood importantly in the center, in a circle. Adagio smiled an evil grin. These are definitely my kind of people...
