"Hmm where's Fluttershy at?" A purple unicorn with a purple-pink mane named Twilight Sparkle said.
"Probably still with her animals or something like that," said Rarity, a white unicorn with a purple mane " oh look there she is."
Fluttershy fluttered in front of them.
"Fluttershy," said Pinkie Pie a pink pony with a pink frizzy mane "where've you been?! You didn't have a party without us did you?"
"No I didn't," said Fluttershy "sorry I'm late, I had a bit of trouble."
"Trouble?" said Applejack(she was orange with a blonde ponytail and cowgirl hat)"what kind of trouble, partner?"
"I-I'll explain," said Fluttershy "I was checking up on these baby birds when a creature came out called a Koopa and..."
"What the heck is a Koopa?" excalimed Rainbow Dash(a cyan peagasus with a rainbow mane).
"It looks like a turtle," Fluttershy said "only it's as tall as us and has yellow skin. Anyway, I got ambushed by a group of them. One of them threatened to kill me with a knife if I didn't say where our leader is."
"Goodness!" exclaimed Rarity "you poor dear."
"Hold up," said Spike(Twilight's assisstant who was a dragon) "did you say these things wanted to know where Princess Celestia is?"
Fluttershy nodded scaredly.
"Oh my," said Twilight "if they tried to kill you if you didn't show them Celestia, then we're in BIG trouble. What happened next?"
"Well," said Fluttershy "I tried to scream so that someone could hear...but they covered my mouth with a cloth and tied me down. Then this Koopa tried to kill me on the spot."
Her friends gasped.
"But," said Fluttershy "you won't believe what happened next."
"Let me guess," said Pinkie "you got free from your bonds and began to fight them all off with some awesome fighting skills...or calmed them down and made them fall asleep. Just a hunch."
"No," said Fluttershy "this happened. A red object came out of nowhere and began to fight them. It was so quick it was like a blur. Then it picked me up and ran. I was scared at first but it freed me and turned out it was a guy and..."
"Ooh," said Rarity "saved by a heroic pony I'm guessing. He must be very handsome."
"Well," said Fluttershy "he's actually..."
"Somepony you got a 'wittle' crushy wushy on?" said Pinkie with glee.
"Well he's," Fluttershy began to say.
"Oh we must meet him," said Rarity said.
"Yeah," said Rainbow Dash "he sounds sooooo coool!"
"LISTEN!" snapped Fluttershy "HE'S NOT A PONY, HE'S HUMAN!"
Everypony gasped.
"H-Human?" said Applejack "How the heck did a human get here?"
"That's a problem, not even he knows," said Fluttershy.
"What's his name though?" asked Spike.
"Mario," said Fluttershy.
"M-Mario?" said Twilight "I never heard someone having that name before."
"He also said he's from the Mushroom Kingdom," Fluttershy added "he tried to fight off some bad guys with his brother but Mario got hit and a big boom happened. He doesn't even know how he got here."
"And do you know where he is now?" asked Rainbow Dash.
Fluttershy sunk her head down.
"In...my..cottage," she said "getting some rest."
"Do you think we can meet this...Mario?'' asked Rarity.
"Sure," said Fluttershy "w-why not?''
The seven of them made their way to the door of the cottage.
"Hmm, I wonder what he looks like," said Applejack.
"I bet he's tall, brave, handsome and...is actually a somewhat plump man with a moustache," said Rarity.
They all glanced to see a sleepy Mario on the couch.
"You know," said Rainbow Dash "he ain't as good-looking as I thought he would be but he is kinda...cute."
"He most definitely is," said Rarity.
Mario then yawned and woke up.
He turned his attention to them and jumped.
"Yiip!" he exclaimed and fell on his back which caused the ponies to chuckle "don't scare me like that. Oh you must be Fluttershy's friends."
He then took off his hat and bowed and shook their hands.
"Oh what a gentleman," sighed Rarity.
"So Mario," said Twilight "how do you think you got here?"
"Well, now that you mention it," said Mario "I remember Kamek making this spell on a...p..pipe. Of course! Why didn't I think of it before?"
"Pipe?" said Applejack "what the heck are y'all talking about?"
"We use pipes in the Mushroom Kingdom" said Mario "we go down them for quick transportation and yes they are clean."
"So your point is," said Pinkie "that you need to find this warp pipe, go up it, beat all those bad guys and save your kingdom."
"Exactly," Mario said "I gotta find it and stop Bowser. GASP! I gotta go NOW!"
"Wait up," said Rainbow Dash "we can help you."
"You think you can?" said Mario.
"I know we can," said Rainbow.
"Are any of you skilled fighters?" asked Mario.
The ponies glanced at each other.
"You're a skilled fighter?" snickered Spike.
"Hey," said Fluttershy "He's a lot tougher than he looks."
"Alrighty then," said Mario "I really appreciate the help and all but I don't want you guys hurt, you've never fought Bowser's minions before."
"But we've fought monsters before too," said Twilight.
"Have you ever fought a stone creature with eyes on its hands and having to punch them?" Mario said.
"Nooo," said the Mane Six.
"Enough said," said Mario "I gotta go. Nice meeting ya!" And he ran off.
"I'm going," said Rainbow Dash.
"But Mario said for us not too," said Fluttershy "he didn't want us hurt."
"Just because he saved your life doesn't mean you have to always do what he says," said Rainbow "I'm going anyway."
And she flew off.
