I want to apologize you all have to wait a long time for the next chapter. A lot of things happened to me, and I had other stories to work on. I'll try to get the next chapter up soon, but no promises. Since I haven't updated in so long, I'll give you all a sneak peek of the 13th chapter.

Chapter 13: A new unexpecting friend.

Another day rose for Sonic and his crew. In the fields of Sweet Apple Acres, Sonic, Shadow and Silver did their normal route training. Silver trained with regular hand to hand combat and a few energy attacks, along with Shadow. Sonic did some of his traditional homing attacks and a few punches of his own. Near the training field, Rainbow Dash, Tails and the others watched them.

"Do Those three train everyday?" Twilight asked.

Tails shrugged. "Pretty much so, but it doesn't bother me at all."

"So Tails, tell me more about Sonic, what's he like?" Rainbow asked.

"Well, Sonic is free spirited, never fears anything, Mostly runs everyday, and mostly addicted to action." Tails explained.

"That sound a lot like you Dashie. you two are a perfect match." Applejack said elbowing her.

Rainbow blushed by her comment, but smiled as she continued watching Sonic train with the two.

Amy picked up Rainbow giving Sonic 'the look', and she was not happy at all. She stomped forward to her and grabbed her by the collar, and growled, "You listen here Rainbow Trash, don't get any funny ideas with Sonic, he's MINE. If you try anything with him, you'll regret it." She warned in a serious tone.

Rainbow was not buying any of her jealousy. She grabbed her hands and pried them off of her, "First of all, my name is Rainbow DASH, second of all, you don't own him, third i'm not scared of you."

Amy was now furious, "I'm gonna pound you into oblivion!" She summoned her hammer and gave it a good swing.

Rainbow dodged the hammed and backed up.

Knuckles quickly put Amy into an arm lock, preventing her from doing anymore harm.

Amy broke from his arm lock and started swinging again.

Sonic and the other two heard Amy's scream and stopped training. Sonic saw Amy trying to pummel Rainbow Dash. He quickly dashed forward and pushed Amy back.

"That's enough Amy!" He shouted as he pushed her away from Rainbow.

Knuckles, Applejack and Silver had to put Amy down to prevent her from doing anymore harm.

Sonic walked up to Rainbow and offered her his hand.

"You okay?" She nodded and took his hand.

Sonic helped her up and looked at Amy, who was still struggling to get free, "Amy, you need to get this through your head, I am not your BOYFRIEND." Sonic said.

"You will be mine Sonic. You and I will be married someday." Amy said struggling.

"Like that's gonna happen." Sonic said shaking his head.

"I'm gonna go for a quick run, I'll be back soon." Rainbow said as she left.

"That's right, get outta here, no one wants you here." Amy said. Ouch, that was cold.

Sonic gave her a hard glare and took off after Rainbow.

(Rainbow POV)

Rainbow walked through the neighborhood, still trying to calm down from the scene she had With Amy.

"Rainbow, hold up!" Called out a voice in the back. She turned around and saw Sonic coming up to her.

Sonic caught up to her and started walking by her side, "You alright?" He asked.

"Fine, just fine." She said.

Sonic sighed, "I'm really sorry you had to see Amy like that. I knew there was going to be a point where she would lose it, but I couldn't see it."

Rainbow took a few breaths and started to cool down more. "It's fine. She still doesn't scare me anyway."

"*sigh*, It's always hard to put up with her." Sonic sighed walking alongside her.

"I'll bet." Rainbow said.

Neither of them know that someone was stalking them in the shadows.

Scourge popped his head out from the bushes and looked at the two.

"I can't believe I have to do this." He thought growling.

(Flashback)

"I'm listening…" Scourge said listening to Mephiles.

"I need you to befriend Sonic and his allies."

Those words hit Scourge like a ton of bricks.

"You want me to do WHAT!?" He shouted in anger.

"I sense they have two chaos emeralds with them, and the one you have, making three in total. If you stay with them for the time being, they'll find all the emeralds." Mephiles explained.

"What does it have to do with me befriending them!?" Scourge asked in anger.

"Gain their trust, and when the timing is right, snatch their emeralds and bring them to me. When you do that, I'll give you ultimate power and anything else you want." Mephiles finished.

Scourge growled. He didn't like the idea of befriending Sonic and the others, due to the fact he hates them, but if he ever wants to get his wishes, he has no other choice.

Scourge growled. "Grr, fine, but you better keep your word."

Mephiles placed a hand on his back and then traced his finger over his heart in and 'x' fashion way. "I give you my word." He held his hand out to him.

Scourge huffed and shook his hand, sealing the deal.
