A Discord x Reader fanfic.

So I wrote one for myself! And you guys. But it was mostly for myself.

Crying erupted from the room down the hall, making you cover your head with the pillow. "It's your turn," you said with a muffled voice.

Discord groaned. "I got her last time!"

"You did not," you argued. "I did!"

"I don't wanna do it," he whined, turning his body away from you.

You growled, but uncovered your body and stood up anyway. You walked down the hall to Screwball's nursery and found your daughter lying inside the crib.

You placed your hooves on the railing and stuck your head inside. "What's wrong, Screwball?" you asked the foal in a hushed voice. "Are you hungry? Need a diaper changed?"

She stopped for a moment and sniffled, looking up at you. She giggled and reached upwards.

You chuckled and picked her up, sitting on your haunches. "Were you just scared?" you asked, rubbing your nose against hers affectionately. "You gotta stop being scared of the dark- you're waking me and Daddy up!"

Screwball giggled and drooled a bit on your hoof.

"Blech..." You set her back in her crib and sighed, smiling. "Good night."

"Guh nyte," she attempted to reply.

You laughed and kissed her head before walking back down the hallway.

"Did you fix it?" Discord asked drearily from his awkward, scrunched up position in the bed.

"As a matter of fact, I did, you jerk," you answered, getting back into bed and frowning. "You don't sleep like I do."

He chuckled and got back into a normal sleeping formation, facing you. "Maybe I don't want to need to sleep like you do."

"What?" you asked, smirking.

"Nothing." He leaned in for a kiss for a few seconds, then pulled away as crying sounded from the nursery once more.

"It's your turn."
