Epilogue

Twilight Sparkle's POV

It is a few months already and Chrysalis doesn't want to speak with anyone. Even though Princess Celestia removed all the major charges against her for attacking Canterlot, she remains called and distant . I hope she will get better over time. Cadence kind of has spent some time with her and she says Chrysalis has been talking with her even though I can hardly believe that. The sad thing is that Reaper is dead. We tried everything, but our limited knowledge and his massive injuries were too big for us to handle. I've never been in love so I can't tell how hard is it for Chrysalis but I feel pretty much her broken myself, because this human was my good friend. He still is, I will never forget. We all will remember him.

Speaking about Chrysalis, Princess Celestia sentenced her to be a servant to Princess Cadence for one year. I know it is just something for calming down the crowd of angry ponies, but I honestly believe it will do good for Chrysalis.

Now to another sad message.

My brother, Shining armor, died. Don't pity me, I don't have any tears left. By all our resources, he was shot by that human lunatic, when he was trying to protect Princess Celestia by his own body. Stupid brother of mine. Cadence still thinks he just went missing and I don't have a heart to tell her the truth. Someone will have to eventually but it will not be me. I don't want to break another Pony's heart.

Yeah, Cadence wants to move to the Crystal Empire with Chrysalis for some time. Some little isolation from the world will do good for her. At least, that's what Cadence thinks. I believe I will not see them again in a year or so, but considering what just happened I think it's the best solution. Not mentioning her husband is dead.

The human threat seems to be over, but for what cost.

Till my return to Ponyville I'm spending my time with Princess Luna. She promised to teach me the Dream Magic but we haven't done anything but talking in our learning sessions. Although I love learning new things, it doesn't bother at all I am not learning anything during the lessons. It is Pleasant to have someone to talk to when all the castle is silent and everybody is so damn sad all the time. I think Luna is kind of lucky, with a habit of sleeping during the day and stuff. She is protected against the bad stuff that is happening during the day and all she sees is just peaceful and sleeping kingdom during the night. I know it might be boring but, you know, she is still young and vulnerable and her sister Celestia would not like to see her hurt. So I'm trying my best to be a good company to her. It sounds funny and I know she's like a thousand years older than me, but I think we are a lot alike.

Well, everything has an end, but you have to learn from your mistakes before you make more of them.
