Chapter 5: 5. Adventure Through The Desert

Zelda's P.O.V

We all descend into the outskirts of town. Darkness covers the land, and the train is getting filled with people. "I think this train will take us to the desert," Apple Jack said as she approaches the train.

We follow her, and a man holds out his hand. "Where are you going?" He said.

"To the desert," Rainbow Dash said.

"Okay. The ride on the train will be five bits," The man said as he grabs the coins from Apple Jack's hand. We enter the train, and the train starts moving.

"My friends will save me," I told Ganondorf.

"They will never find you because of a giant quicksand willing to suck anybody in, complete with the lava around my lair and the drawbridge. There's also cannons sticking out of the towers, so your friends can't get in. You'll be my prisoner until you at least tell me where the Element of Magic is!" He replied as he looks through the crystal.

I can see the train through the desert. Inside the train is a group of my friends, complete with Zelda and Hilda. "Ooh, they will be stopped," Ganondorf concluded.

Zelda's P.O.V

As the train enters the desert, it suddenly halts for some reason. The desert storm seems to get worse. "Don't worry, we will fix the problem. It may take a few hours," The conductor said.

"A few hours?!" Twilight's friends asked.

"Yes," Hilda and I said in unison.

An hour passes, and the desert storm keeps getting worse, to the point of where we can't see far away buildings and objects. "That's it. We're getting off," Rainbow Dash said.

We get off the train, and the air keeps heating up. Rarity and Hilda seem unhappy. "What's the matter?! You can't handle the dust?" I asked.

"I told you this is a bad idea! The wind is full of dust, and it will clog my beautiful purple hair! And the heat will make me sweat real bad," Rarity complained.

"She's right," Hilda added in.

"This is no time for complaints! We've got to endure the storm! Let's go," I retorted.

We walk through the storm, and the others are following suit. "I'll faint from the blazing heat," Rarity complained.

"I don't want to get a heatstroke," Hilda said.

"Would you be quiet! Just endure the harshness of the desert storm," I replied.

I take out my sword just in case some monsters are to appear. "No! My scarf!" Rarity shouted as her scarf flies off of her neck.

"Don't bother to chase after it," I told her.

Hilda takes out her staff. She seems to be thinking the same thing about the possibility of monsters popping up in the desert. A snake-like beast appears, and opens its mouth. It roars as it chases after us. Fluttershy screams in fear, and Rainbow Dash tries to defend her.

I slash at the beast, and Hilda restrains the beast with her magic. I slash the beast's head, and the beast roars in pain as it disappears. The storm calms down, and the sun starts to set. The air is getting a bit cooler, but it's still blazing hot. We notice a structure in the distance, and we start towards the structure. I notice Hilda falling through the sand, and I pull her out.

Rainbow Dash and Apple Jack rush in to help. We all pull her out of the sand. "Was this a quicksand?" Pinkie Pie asked absentmindedly.

"Yes," I replied, "That's why she almost sank through it.

"Look at your dress! It's dirty. You call yourself a princess?" Rarity asked Hilda.

I point an accusing finger at Rarity. "Don't be so mean to her! There's nothing wrong with getting clothes dirty, but sometimes it happens whenever a person is falling through quicksand or falling into a muddy puddle that is very deep. She is a princess, and don't you dare question about her title in such a way," I told her.

"Okay, then. Sorry, Hilda," Rarity told Hilda.

"That's okay," Hilda replied, "And Zelda, thanks for standing up for me."

We notice how deep the quicksand is. I think it used to be a river. We walk around the quicksand, and we get closer and closer to the structure.

A bit of a cliffhanger here. Any reviews/comments appreciated.
