(Rainbow's POV)

I walked nicely alone in the forest. The birds sang, the air was fresh, and the sky was a vanilla azalea color. Fan-tastic. The only thing that could make this perfect was…

Something covered my eyes.

"Guess who?"

I smiled.

"Sonic" I said. He chuckled, and uncovered my eyes. I turned around to look at him, but by the time I had turned around, he was gone. I looked around a little. Where in the world was he?

"BOO!" I jumped up in the air, and suddenly landed in the arms of the blue blur.

"Did I scare you?" Sonic asked with a mischievous smile.

"A little bit" I said as I stroke a finger down his chest. He chuckled. As he slowly began to place me down on the snow, I giggled. He turned his back towards me, and looked around. While having his back turned, I quietly got down, took some snow in my hands, and started to form a ball.

"Huh, what do you know? This place is growing bigger. Eggman's troops having been in here for months. Speaking of Eggman, we haven't heard of him since he attacked you that day. What do you—OW!" Before he could finish of his sentence, I threw a medium sized snowball. I laughed as he dried the snow off.

"Why, you little…" He said. Before I knew it, a snowball hit me. We both laughed as I dried the snow off. I felt him lift my chin, and kiss my forehead. Before I knew it, I was pulled into his warm embrace. My hand slowly stroke through his fur as I rested my head on his chest. We stood like that for a few minutes, until Sonic suddenly swept me off the snow, and carried me in his arms.

"What are you doing?" I asked with a giggle.

"Just wait and see" He suddenly sped forward, and I had to have my arms wrapped around his neck in order to hold on. We soon arrived at the top of a cliff. A little bench was there, made out of marble. Sonic slowly placed me down, and I looked night sky was shining dark blue, with some of the most beautiful stars I have ever seen.

"It's so beautiful," I said, as I sat down on the bench.

"That's why I took you here. I discovered this place a long time ago. Way before all the chaos and robots were everywhere," He said as he sat down beside of me. He gently wrapped his arms around me, and held me into him. I rested on his chest once again, as I looked up at the beautiful night sky.

"Sonic?"

"Yeah?"

"Have you visited many wonderful places before?"

"Yeah"

I slowly stroke my hand down of his chest, repeated the same motion over and over. I felt him hold me tighter into him.

"I have never visited something as beautiful as this," I said.

He lifted my chin up with two fingers, and kissed me softly.

"I'm glad you like it," He said.

He dug forward for another kiss. As I felt his lips approach my lips, I gratefully returned the kiss. The kiss became more a little more intense as my arms wrapped around his neck. He used one of his hands to press my head closer, making the kiss harder. We were soon both out of breath, and broke the kiss. We smiled at each other, and Sonic carried me in his arms again.

"We better get going. It's getting late" He said.

"Yes, let's" I said. He sped forward back into the forest.

(Tails' POV)

I was trying to fix a broken device, and for the first time ever, I couldn't. I couldn't fix this god dang device. I build it, and I couldn't fix it.

"Hey Tails, what are you doing?" I turned around and saw Twilight coming down the metal stairs. I never realized she was going down of it the whole time.

"Oh, me? I'm just trying to fix this broken device, but it's not going so well" I said. I blushed a bit in embarrassment. She sat down beside of me, and lifted the device up, examining it.

"Hmm…" She said looking at it. Her eyes widened all of a sudden, and she placed it back on the table. She took the little laser screwdriver, and the electric screwdriver.

"May I?" She asked.

"Yeah, sure"

She started using them a little. After 5 minutes, she lay them back on the table, and pressed the ON button on the device. It lit up, and started to work again.

"Y-You fixed it? B-But how?" I asked astounded.

"Well, if you live in Equestria, and study a whole lot, you learn some tricks that will might help you out in the future"

I chuckled.

"Then you must be a REAL genius, cause I am one, and I couldn't even fix my own device" I said. She giggled.

"Thanks. I don't get it a lot. Most poni-people say I am a nerd. But, it was before I became princess. Now they treat me like a god, and compliment on me so much. Starting to get embarrassing"

We looked into eachother's eyes for something that felt like forever. As we both gazed into eachother's eyes, I thought about what Twilight just had told me. People were right if they complimented on Twilight so much. She was really an amazing and beautifu-Wait, what!?

We both blinked a few times and then turned around.

"Uh, well, I should really get going now" Twilight said.

"Of course. See ya"

"Goodbye" She said as she flew up to the door and went out of the room. I took my hand to my head, and shook my head. What just happened? Were we just about to kiss?
