Blurs passed through the metal base. Well, does blurs would essentially be Sonic and Rainbow Dash, dashing through the metal hallways with their wings/feet. Though, Rainbow Dash felt uncomfortable again, just as last time she was in these hallways. Once again there were no robots around. Last time that was so, Sonic lost his life to protect her, though he was miraculously revived by Rarity. If there were no robots around, that must mean something is going to happen. Except it won't turn out like last time. This time, she'll protect Sonic. He wasn't gonna die, not ever. Her thoughts slowed her down, which Sonic noticed quickly.

He slowed down and stopped, jumping up and grabbing her hand. Her eyes widened a bit before she let herself fall to the ground, landing on her feet.

"Dashie, what's wrong?" He asked her softly. She turned around slowly and looked at him, with her eyes half closed.

"Sorry Sonic. I didn't want to worry you," She said while looking down a bit. Sonic gently wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close in for a hug.

"It's okay. You can tell me" Rainbow Dash snuggled into his chest and sighed deeply.

"It's just…Last time I were in here, there were no robots either. Then Metal showed up and then…"

"Shhh" Sonic shushed her softly and put a finger on her soft lips.

"Don't say it. There's no way I'm leaving you ever again. Not ever, ever" Rainbow Dash looked up at him with pleading eyes. He held her chin and pulled her slightly closer.

"Target locked. Initiating attack" Their eyes quickly widened, and Sonic held Rainbow Dash tight and jumped away, right before being hit with a missile. As he lands on the ground, he lets go of Rainbow Dash and stands in front of her, with his arm out to the side.

"Neon Sonic!" He exclaimed. The dark blue robot acknowledged itself by stepping into the light. The blue robot looked exactly like Sonic in a robotic state, except the sclera area was black and his eyes were glowing red.

"What are you doing here Neon?!" Sonic angrily demanded from Neon Sonic.

"That is none of your concern, my loathsome copy" Neon Sonic responded instead to Sonic's question. Sonic kept Rainbow Dash behind him, not noticing how shivering she was being.

"Loathsome copy? Hah! You gotta be kiddin' me! You're far from my level you scrambled piece of junk!" Sonic joked back at the robot while smirking.

"Maybe so…" Neon Sonic pointed behind him, to Rainbow Dash who was gagging for breath. "…But are you a match for her?"

"H-Huh?!" Sonic turned around and looked at Rainbow Dash wide-eyed. She fell to the floor on her side, and curled up, as her eyes shrunk, and she kept gagging.

"Rainbow Dash!" Sonic screamed, and threw himself on his knees, holding her body up and close. He stared down at her in horror, as she kept gagging with tears falling, as if someone was choking her. His eyes then glared back at Neon Sonic angrily, as he held her closer.

"What did you do to her Neon?!" Sonic angrily yelled at the scrap of metal.

"I think the better question is; what is she going to do to you?" Sonic gave a huff, before screaming in pain as he felt something sent him into a wall, which crumbled on top of him and broke. He painfully crawled out of the pile of the now destroyed wall, and looked up.

Rainbow Dash…

What happened to her?!

A black aura was surrounding and embracing her body as she sitting on her knees, pressing her hands down on the metal floor. Her eyes were closed, and her bangs covered her face, but that didn't hide her new visuals.

Her skin was dark cyan, and her nails were about 2 inches longer. Her attire was, instead of her usual cool look, a tight short dark blue and black dress that embraced her to her knees and shoulders, black flat leather boots, and unattached dark blue arm sleeves. Her beautiful rainbow hair, had turned shadowy, and the most beautiful of them all, the water blue one, had turned as black as night.

She slowly stood up, and lifted her head up, some of her bangs stroking away from her face. Instead of meeting the usual glowing magenta, dark blue cold eyes with slit pupils drilled through Sonic's soul.

"R-Rainbow…D-Dash?" Neon Sonic chuckled through the computer brain of his.

"That, is not your precious Rainbow Dash anymore. Meet the ultimate being of negative chaos, Dark Dash. A little, form that first appeared after your death" Sonic's eyes widened at the mention of his death. Rainbow Dash had told him her view of the story of course, but; she had never mentioned this!

"W…What?" Sonic muttered out in disbelief. He didn't have time to act, when a sudden black bullet fired at him. He once again screamed in pain and felt himself fly into another wall, crumbling that too, though he managed to avoid the destroyed parts of it falling down on him. Before he could react though, he felt someone kick him from behind, upwards to the ceiling. He bounced back down on the floor, after creating a bulge up in the ceiling. He barely sat on his knees, as he looked back up at Neon Sonic, who Dark Dash suddenly appeared beside of. Sonic groaned, and jumped at Dark Dash.

Suddenly, something clicked inside of him. It was still her. He could see her as she normally was. She was looking at him, crying and scared. It made him lose his jump's speed, and relax his limbs. Because of this, he was kicked into a corner of two walls. He felt a streak of blood slide down his forehead, and down his jaw.

"It is no use to fight, when you cannot hurt her," Neon Sonic said.

"SHUT UP!" Sonic yelled at him, though he knew it was true.

There was no way he could hurt his precious hedgehog…

Fluttershy fed the small squirrels around her with a small bunch of acorns. They all happily chewed on them as she put a bunch more in front of them. A couple of them jumped up on her and nuzzled her.

"Oh thank you, you're all too kind" Fluttershy kindly said with a bright smile. A couple of birds flew in a circle around her, while chirping, telling her that they were hungry too.

"Oh, but of course, you little birdies need something to eat too!" Fluttershy exclaimed. She looked in her backpack, and found a full bag of birdseeds, and she took a handful before spreading them all over the ground. The small birds one by one landed on the ground, gently picking a seed up each, before breaking them and swallowing them.

Fluttershy was happy to see more animals gather around. She had asked Knuckles about any sort of animal food, and he had told her about the storage room. Critters and birds, even a couple of bigger mammals had gathered around. She though it was kind of sweet that she now was an animal herself that could be found around nature. Sure, in Equestria she was a pony, but that was also the dominant race there. In this world, you could be a different kind of animal, and still have that animal live in nature. It felt slightly weird to adjust to her new so-called bat form, but she was happy that in some sort of way, she was connected to the animals much more than before.

She suddenly felt something land on her head. She looked up and saw a small flower crown made from belladonnas, elderflowers, and purple spring crocuses.

"Thank you so much dear friends" Fluttershy told her animal friends kindly. A rabbit jumped up on her shoulder and curled up, as a squirrel suddenly jumped up on her head, playing with her tufts of hair. She giggled cutely. This reminded her life back in Equestria, where all her animals would nuzzle and cuddle with her as she slept.

Equestria…She missed home. She missed her animals, and she missed Angel. She had no idea of how they were doing without her. She just hoped that they were all alright.

But on the same time, she felt very happy here. All of her friends except Pinkie Pie were here, and she has met some wonderful new friends, that reminded her much of her best ones. Sonic was like an alternate version of Rainbow Dash, Tails and Twilight, Knuckles and Applejack, Rouge and Rarity, and that little bee, Charmy reminded her strangely of Pinkie Pie. Who reminded of her most? That would probably be Cream. She was so nice and fragile, and she obviously cared for the same things as she did. Though, Cream seemed a bit more open than herself. Fluttershy knew she was shyer than her. But she didn't care much. She was just happy for her best and new friends to be here.

"Twilight?" A voice called out, and it created an echo. An echo so distant, though it seemed so close.

No answer…

What's going on? Why couldn't a word be spoken out of her? She couldn't see Tails, but he had to be around! Her eyes searched the area around. She didn't understand. It looked like…Home. Equestria.

There that voice is again. Where is it coming from? She couldn't put it, even if it was on the tip of her tail!

Suddenly, she saw herself out on a road. A road, with flower trees surrounding, with their small petals falling down like the powdery snow.

This was Equestria's afterlife place…

She did hear about this place…

A bright light suddenly shone in front of her, and as soon as she opened them, she saw a family pony princess, standing right in front of her.

Her mentor…Celestia…

"Princess Celestia!" Twilight exclaimed, and ran over and hugged her. That's when she realized something. She was just about the same height as the princess. That's when it hit her.

She was still a cat.

She was still walking on two legs.

She was still with arms and fingers.

She still wore her clothes.

She was still a Mobian.

"Twilight Sparkle, my most faithful student…"Princess Celestia exclaimed, in her calm, nice voice. Their hug broke and Twilight looked at her pony mentor, with her brows furrowed and her ears flattened against her skull.

"Princess…what am I doing here? I-I was just on Mobius right before a-and now…I'm…dead?" The princess.

"Yes, Twilight…This is the afterlife of Equestrian Citizens. It's called 'The Garden of Light'" The princess kept her smile on her face.

"W-What?! B-But princess, I-"

"Twilight Sparkle, I am most pleased that you have completed your destiny, and made the next step of your journey. I can't tell you how proud I am of how you've acted in your first life. Now that it has ended, you're ready for your new life"

New life…

"This…is my destiny?" Twilight clenched her fist as she spoke. The princess nodded.

"I cannot tell you how wonderful it has been to teach you for all these years, and make you the pony you were until today. Now, you must-"

"I wish it wasn't"

"Hm? Twilight?"

"…Why? Why did I die already?"

"Twilight, everyone must go through death. It's a part of lives and destinies-"

"Destiny, destiny DESTINY! I don't want to hear any of it!"

"Twilight?"

"I was happy…I was happy where I was…I had everything I needed…"

"Twilight, listen-"

"I was happy Celestia! It could never have been my destiny if I completed it, right? Was our destinies ever truly completed? Tell me!"

"Twilight, please, calm do-"

"TELL ME NOW!"

Celestia was shocked. She had never seen her student so mad before, especially not at her. But, alas, she sighed. She was all grown up. It was time to let the truth come out.

"No…it was never completed…because…Twilight…Destinies…They are chosen by the path a pony takes…you can never complete a destiny…because there is really none…"

"So…all this time…you've lied to me…to all of us…"

"Twilight…"

"I was happy where I was…I had everything I could ever dream of…Rainbow Dash had too…"

"Rainbow Dash?"

"I had Tails…She had Sonic…We were both so happy…Now, not only has my heart broken…But Tails' too…AND IT WAS ALL BECAUSE OF YOU!"

"Twilight-"

"NO! NO SORRIES! NO APOLOGIZING! NOTHING! BECAUSE I DON'T TRUST YOU ANYMORE! ALL I WANT IS TAILS! ALL I EVER NEED WAS TAILS! ALL I'VE EVER TRULY HAD WAS TAILS!

Wow Twilight. That's very deep.

Some of you may say she's pretty OOC (Out of Character) considering Celestia has been her mentor for life, but, still. How would you feel like if your mentor took your life because she thought there was nothing more for you to accomplish if you've done your duty in life? That wooould be pretty screwed up.

Well, this doesn't look good Sonic. You better be able to survive, or else there's going to come all these reviews being like 'Nooo, you killed Sonic!' or 'Well that's fucked up, you killed your main character'

Well, at least we got to see how Fluttershy feels in this world. That was pretty much the only positive thing that happened in this chapter.
