Chapter 20

I looked at the approaching army of robots, each one was a metallic silver, meaning that they were heavily armored. I knew that this would determine whether Eggman was able to take over this place or not. If I failed then Equestria would fall as well. I turned to face the Princesses, and my friends. "This is our final stand. If we fail, all of us will no longer be free… And I'll most likely be dead…" I told them. "Sonic, we're here to help you no matter what happens. Just know that." Twilight said to me. I smiled and looked at them all. "We can do this! If we just work together!" I shouted, starting to explain my plan.

-10 Minutes Later-

I saw Eggman in the Egg Emperor, a cocky grin on his face. "You will pay for all the misery you've caused Eggman!" I shouted at him. "On the contrary! You will be the one to pay for all the misery you've caused ME!" He shouted, charging at me, lance ready to impale me. I jumped at the last second and landed on it, before leaping over him, and running off. "You little cretin!" He shouted chasing after me, while his army began to attack the castle, my plan was set in motion.

I ran up and tree and quickly jumped on top of the robot, which Eggman started to swing its hands at me, but they missed with one. I was flung off when he jumped, causing me to hit the ground with a thud. He picked me off the ground and put me face to face with him. "You'll regret ever crossing me. I've given you plenty of chances to join me and yet you refuse each and every one!" He shouted throwing me onto the ground. He kicked me into a tree, the Chaos Emeralds I had were dropped, a large metallic tube quickly collected them, and he shouted "Now you'll die, and I'll finally be able to create my Empire! I won't let anyone stop me! Not you, not that princess, not even those Elements of Harmony!" He shouted lifting me into the air again. "I will win this time! You will not stop me!" He yelled before starting to squeeze me with the robots large metallic fingers.

"Any last words?" He asked me. "Yeah. Take a look behind you Baldy Nose Hair." I said with a grin. He turned only to get a large rock slammed into the cockpit of the Egg Emperor. Silver lifted another one and launched it, Eggman dropped me and charged at Silver. Omega, Metal Sonic, and Gamma quickly attacked knocking Eggman down, while Knuckles and Shadow attacked with a jump. I saw Twilight, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie, and Rainbow Dash with their elements they used the attack and when it was over everything was quiet except for Eggman's laughing. "Why are you laughing? You've lost?" Rarity asked. "Oh, I've far from lost. The Elements of Harmony unleash a large amount of energy when their used." He said with a smirk.

"No…" Twilight said a surprised frown on her face. "Enough energy to supercharge the Egg Emperor!" Eggman shouted before the Egg Emperor roared to life, now with a rainbow colored glow. "You actually thought you had won? How foolish! Now that I have the energy of your elements and the Chaos Emeralds I can destroy all of you for good!" He shouted, as the Egg Emperor began to glow brighter, the Chaos Emeralds were ejected from the machine, they retained their full color instead of being a dull grey. "WHAT!? NO! IMPOSSIBLE!" He shouted. "You know Eggman you really should have seen that coming! Their called the Elements of Harmony. They were used to defeat your little buddy!" I shouted. Discord appeared next to Eggman and said "I told you that it wouldn't work." "OH SHUT UP! I planned for this…" He said, facing Discord. "Now!" He shouted while Discord disappeared after flying into the Egg Emperor. "That's it! Keep going!" Eggman cheered as Discord powered up the large metal robot.

Discord flew out and said "Now this should give you an advantage." I gnashed my teeth as I noticed the Chaos Emeralds. I rushed forward and grabbed them, then quickly dashed back to the group. "You want to see something cool?" I asked Twilight. "What?" She asked me confused. "Just watch." I said before Shadow, Silver, Knuckles, and I began to glow with a yellow aura as we turned into our super forms. Knuckles had turned a shade of pink, (Yes he actually does. Look it up) Silver turned a light shade of gold, the blue on his gloves and boots turned a deep yellow, Shadow and I turned gold, while Silver, Shadow, and I had ruby red eyes.

"Sonic! You can't aim for the cockpit, it's too heavily guarded, you'll need to destroy the limbs first, and without them he can't protect himself as much!" Metal Sonic yelled to me. "You got it." I said before the four of us charged at Eggman. He slashed at us with the lance but we all managed to avoid it. "Silver you go for the lance!" I shouted, he responded with a quick nod and rocketed forward. Moving swiftly through the sky as he approached the now airborne Egg Emperor, Silver slammed into the lance arm snapping it off.

"You think that will stop me?" Eggman asked before firing several bolts of energy from the Egg Emperors shield. Silver managed to dodge them and return to the rest of us. "Shadow, take out that shield!" I commanded, he rushed forward and prepared to punch the shield, but he was blasted back by a quick bolt of energy. He recovered and attacked the shield causing it to sever from its place on the body. "You'll pay for that!" Eggman shouted before two large launchers appeared from the shoulders and fired several missiles at us. "Knuckles, take out the left leg." I said. "I'll do better." he replied rushing forward and grabbing onto one of the Egg Emperors legs and ripping it off. He used it to destroy the other leg.

"SONIC! He's vulnerable! Go for the cockpit!" Metal Sonic shouted at me. I smiled before launching forward. "No! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!" Eggman shouted. "Hey Eggman? How many times have kicked your butt now?" I asked as I made contact with the Egg Emperor. There was a loud crash as the body of the robot hit the ground with a massive THUD! Silver, Shadow, Knuckles, and I landed before turning normal and hearing the cheers of several ponies. We smiled and waved, but a loud yell interrupted us. "YOU THINK THIS IS OVER!?" We turned to see a furious looking Discord. "I worked too hard, letting that excuse of a leader boss me around, to lose here!" He shot a white orb at us and everyone except Silver was able to avoid it. When it made contact, Silver was covered in a thick shell of ice, unable to move.

Discord lifted his hands into the air, and a large pair of stone hands burst from the ground, grabbing Knuckles so that he couldn't move his arms. "I will not be defeated by these fools!" Discord shouted, launching a black sphere at Shadow, when it hit him he was covered in a thick black sludge that even he couldn't move in. "Sonic! I can't use my Chaos Powers!" He shouted to me. "Hey Twilight? You have an ammo limit for those things?" I asked. "I don't know! We've never used them twice in a row before!" She cried. Discord flung himself at me, and disappeared, he quickly reappeared next to me and hit my gut with his elbow. He tripped me, then jumped onto my head. I groaned in pain as he attacked me in fury. I noticed the sun was beginning to set, and I prayed that the sun would set before I lost consciousness. "Please… Just a little longer…" I begged, and it was as if I had been heard by someone, because the sun quickly accelerated, while the moon rose.

I felt the transformation and I rolled out from under Discord. I grabbed him by the arm and flung him into a tree. "Twilight?!" I asked. "We're working on it!" She shouted. I dodged an attack and punched him in the stomach. "Any second now!" I shouted. "You need to hold on!" She said annoyed. "All right! Just get him to hold still!" Twilight yelled to me. I grabbed him so that my stomach was touching his back. Twilight and the others used the Elements, I felt searing pain as it hit both me and Discord. "Chaos Energy. Discord's full of the stuff… I have some too so does that mean whatever happens to Discord will happen to me?" I thought as the pain stopped and I fell unconscious.

-1 Week Later-

I opened my eyes to see that I was in a hospital. "What…?" I asked seeing the night sky. I brought a gloved hand to my head and gasped. "No claws…" I sat up and started patting my torso. "No fur…" I felt my teeth. "No fangs…" I looked out the window just to be sure. "It's night time all right…" I got out of the bed and heard someone gasp. I saw Twilight next to me and I was hugged by her. "SONIC! We thought you weren't going to wake up!" She said, I could see the tears streaming down her face in the pale moonlight. "Heh. You think I'd leave you like that?" I asked, wiping one away with my hand. She buried her face in my chest and cried. Once by one everyone came in. Silver, Shadow, Knuckles, Metal Sonic, Omega, Gamma, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie, Fluttershy, and the Princesses. "Sonic. We're glad you're all right. We have Eggman locked up in the dungeon." Luna said to me. I smiled and looked at them all. We may not have found a way home, but here, life is good. And that's just what I intended to spend here with Twilight. Life. My life. I kissed her gently on the cheek and let her cry.
