I was being transported to a large city, I was chained, unable to move. "You've got the wrong hedgehog!" I shouted. "SHUT IT SONIC!" One of the guards responded. I sighed before looking out the barred cage, seeing the sun set I grew fearful of what would happen. "Please! Just listen to me!" I pleaded. I received no response. I felt a pain in my chest, my fur started to grow, my gloves ripped revealing clawed hands. My teeth sharpened, my shoes went through the transformation as well, growing several spikes. Once the transformation was complete I let out a loud howl.

What I didn't know is that the howl stirred an ancient evil, cracking open its prison. I heard the chains groan as I pulled. They snapped like string, I grabbed onto the bars of the cage and started to bend, the metal moaned as it was bent. I heard several guards telling me to stop, but I ignored them. I leapt through the bent bars and ran into a forest, where I wouldn't be seen. No one will stop me, no one CAN stop the monster that I am.

2. Chapter 1

Chapter 1: Curse

I continue to run through the forest, not stopping for anything. Until I notice a strange creature, it mostly looked like a dragon but had several other features as well. "Hello. I take it you're the one who freed me?" It asked. "I don't know what you are or what you're talking about!" I shouted at it. "Now, now you've got a short temper don't you? My name is Discord." It said to me. "Discord? Sounds a lot like Chaos." I replied. "Yes, chaos is my specialty." Discord replied. "No not chaos… Chaos. The god of destruction. I kicked his butt into being good." I shouted at him. "You seem to be very chaotic yourself." Discord told me, placing his hand on my shoulder. I pushed his hand off and said "I know what you're going to ask and I don't work with villains like you!" I shouted, not realizing that I had attracted six ponies to my location.

"Come on. You don't really mean that do you?" Discord asked. "I do, I may not be from around here, but I know a villain when I see one." I replied. "You seem to look like a villain those claws, those teeth, those mean eyes, your long dark fur, do you see what I mean?" He asked. I looked at my claws, then at him. "No, I've learnt long ago that I am not a villain. I am a…" I started but was interrupted by Discord throwing some sort of dust in my face. "Well I hope you would like to stay that way." He said before disappearing, then to my horror I noticed that the sun had risen. I was still in my Werehog form. I heard bushes rustle so I got into a defensive stance, my claws ready to fight whoever was there. A yellow Pegasus slowly walked out, her eyes filled with wonder and fear. "Hello. M-m-my name is Fluttershy." She said to me. "I'm Sonic." I replied, she was startled by my ability to talk so she jumped back a bit.

"You don't have to worry I won't hurt you." I said to her. She started to come a little closer when I heard someone shout "Get away from her you monster!" A cyan colored Pegasus with a rainbow colored mane flew towards me. I quickly dodged her attack and shot out my arm grabbing her by the ankle. I sung my arm and slammed her into the ground. "Rainbow Dash!" I heard another voice shout. Four more ponies had come but they simply stared at me as I fought my attacker. She started flying again and charged at me, I stretched out my arms and grabbed onto a tree branch kicking her in the face. I let go landing in front of her as she sits on the grass. "Who are you!? Did HE send you!?" I ask angered. "What!? What are you talking about!? I just saw my friend here and I saw you! I thought she was in some kind of danger!" She shouted at me. "So you were protecting your friend?" I asked. "Of course!" She shouted at me.

I turn and start to walk away when I heard the yellow pony say "Wait. Please don't leave." I sigh before turning around and bitterly asking "What?" "I was wondering what… What are you…?" She asked me. I simply stared at her before starting to walk off again. "Hey! I believe she asked you a question." A purple colored unicorn shouted. "Well I don't have to answer it!" I shouted at her. "What's your problem?" A white unicorn asked. "You want to know my problem? I was trying to enjoy a nice day back home, but then I'm taken to this large city where I manage to get away from. Then the next thing I know is I'm approached by this strange creature that called itself Discord. When I said I wouldn't work with him he threw this dust in my face and now I'm stuck like this!" I shouted staring at the six.

"Well maybe we can help yah'? I mean we've done things like this before." An orange pony said. "Then I can throw you a party!" A pink one then shouted. "No thanks… I don't need anyone's help!" I say walking further into the forest. "Just listen, we've saved this place hundreds of times!" The purple one said chasing after me. "I've saved my home thousands of times." I replied. "I've never been able to do it without my friends! Have you?" She asked me. My mind was filled with memories, the first time I fought Egg Man, when he summoned Chaos, when he awoke Shadow, the time when he built the amusement park that turned out to be a trap, the time he turned me into… This…

Truth is my friends have helped me whether I knew it or not, so I stopped walking. "No… I haven't… My friends were always there by my side… If it makes you feel any better I'll let you help me… Ok?" I asked. She smiled and nodded before leading me back to the group. "Well he says we can help him. What's your name?" "Sonic. I'm Sonic the Hedgehog!" I said, taking my iconic pose, forgetting that I was a Werehog. "Well, I'm Twilight Sparkle, but you can call me Twilight." She said. "This is Applejack, this is Rainbow Dash, this is Pinkie Pie, and this is Rarity." Twilight said introducing me to her friends. I would have never thought that I would meet anyone like this. "So you're a… Hedgehog?" Rarity asked. "Yeah. Why? Is that hard to believe?" I ask. Pinkie ran forward and said "Well you do have these." Grabbing onto my hand showing my claws. "And the fur…" She said gently tugging on some of my fur. "Then there's these guys…" She finished making her teeth appear sharp. I felt my ears droop, I started to walk past them, leading them to try and catch up to me.

"Sonic! Wait!" Twilight shouts chasing after me. I stop and turn to face the group. "What is this place?" I ask seeing a small town. "This is Ponyville. You might want to try and stay hidden at least until I can figure out how to explain you to the town." Twilight explained. I nodded before I literally disappeared in the shadows. Twilight led me to the library where she let me sneak in. "SPIKE! WE HAVE A GUEST WHO WILL BE STAYING HERE FOR A WHILE!" She shouted. A small purple dragon walked downstairs, when he saw me he started screaming. I quickly shot my arm across the room and grabbed him, pulling the little guy to me. "Hey be quiet! I'm the guest!" I whispered. He calmed down so I let him go. As soon as his feet hit the ground he started screaming again. This time Twilight shushed him which actually kept him quiet. "Spike, this is Sonic. He's in a bit of a jam right now so we'll be letting him stay here until he gets everything sorted out." She said to him.

"Twilight…? Are you sure about this? Who knows who he could be? For all we know he's a wanted criminal!" Spike shouted. "You know I'm right here!" I shouted at him. "You seem a lot like a monster…" Spike said, causing me to lose my temper. "I'M A MONSTER! YOU'RE A DRAGON! I'VE FOUGHT A DRAGON BEFORE! I KICKED HIS SCALY BUTT INTO LETTING ME PAST HIM! HE HAD A HORN ON HIS NOSE MADE OUT OF PURE CRYSTAL! I CUT… IT… OFF…!" I shouted, before calming down. Spike looked at me in horror. "Why would you do that…?" He asked, I noticed I was also getting strange glares from Twilight. "Look let me explain the whole story… I was just minding my own business back home when I'm suddenly called to this place known as Camelot. I had to defeat King Arthur, using the sacred sword Caliburn. The only way to get Caliburn was to get past the mist dragon, who I had to defeat in battle…" I said explaining the story.

"Twilight…? Why did you say a crazy monster could stay here again?" Spike asked. I groaned in anger before I sat down. "Sonic… You can stay in the spare bedroom upstairs. If you'd like…" Twilight said to me. "I prefer to usually lie down in the grass, or in a tree… A bed would be heaven!" I shouted. "What?" Twilight asked. "Well, I'm usually traveling a lot so I can't really bring a bed around with me all the time can I?" I asked. "Well… I guess not…" Twilight responded. "Well night Twilight." I said, walking upstairs to the spare bedroom. I had to go in the door sideways considering it was too small for my large Werehog size. I lied down in the bed before drifting off in a deep sleep.

"Where am I?" I asked, noticing nothing but darkness around me, I realized I was in my normal form. "Is this… A dream…?" I asked myself. "Bwa, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!" A familiar laugh echoed around me. I turned and faced him… Dr. Egg Man. "Egg Man!" I shouted. "Sonic… You… Fight… Win… Equestria… Mine… Give… Now…!" He had shouted with a cocky expression. I was confused I hadn't heard most of it, but I got the basic idea. "So, you're here to take over Equestria huh, Egg Head?" I asked. He nodded before I was grabbed and thrown from him by Discord. "Well. It seems you're in a bit of a jam huh?" Discord had asked before rain clouds formed above us. He pulled out an umbrella and a red substance started raining down on me. "Huh!? What is this stuff?" I had asked, getting a small amount on my finger and tasting it. "Jelly? Why would you…? Oh… Seriously? Bad pun dude!" I said before rushing at him. Well, I tried to rush at him, but the jelly around my feet had hardened into a stone, the jelly hardened as it covered my body, slowly. My legs were covered in the stone, then my chest, I was stone up to my neck… I saw Discord next to Egg Man, both were laughing… Until my vision faded from the stone covering my face.

I woke up covered in sweat, I heard Twilight speaking to someone. "He was fighting Discord, he said something about an evil version of himself. Named Shadow… You have to believe me! He wouldn't hurt anypony!" I walked downstairs and saw Twilight speaking to two alicorns. One was white with a green and pink mane, the other was blue with a mane of a darker shade of blue. "Twilight? Is everything all right?" I asked. "Sonic! How long have you been up?" She asked me. "I just woke up… I was having this crazy wicked nightmare." I replied. "Twilight allow me to finish speaking. We aren't here because we want to take Sonic into the dungeon. We are here because Luna saw his nightmare, she knew that once this… Egg… Man… Had said that he wanted to conquer Equestria, Sonic was a hero. We also captured this… Shadow…" The white one said. "So, I take it you two are in charge around here?" I asked. "Yes, I am Princess Celestia and this is my little sister Princess Luna." The white one explained.

"Well as you may already know… I'm Sonic! Sonic the hedgehog!" I said, once again taking my trademark pose. "Wait… You said you caught Shadow? I need to give him a piece of my mind!" I said, getting angry. "We can take you to see him if you would like. He seems to be in a similar state to you… only his is different." Luna said to me. "Well then let's get this show on the road!" I shouted as we started to head towards Canterlot.

3. Chapter 2

This chapter introduces three Sonic characters: Shadow, Knuckles, and Omega. I am going to feature Diamond Tiara in this chapter, I'm sorry if I get her attitude wrong, I just need her to act like this for the chapter. Please Review and leave me some positive comments! Contains Knuckles X Fluttershy. This chapter does involve slight vulgar language.

Chapter 2

Ponies stared at me as I moved through the large city of Canterlot. We eventually made our way into the castle, where we found Shadow, he was different looking. He looked like how I looked now, only with his colors. "Wow, you know Shadow this is a big improvement!" I shouted at him. "SHUT YOUR MOUTH!" He shouted at me. "I could but I don't want to… Seriously, this IS a big improvement!" I replied. "FAKER, JUST GET ME OUT OF HERE!" He shouted at me. "First you have to tell me what you did." I said to him. "I'LL GUT YOU LIKE A FISH!" Shadow shouted at me. "So you don't want me to get you out of here then?" I asked, causing him to look worried. "Y-Y-You wouldn't do that! You're a hero! You have to help me!" He shouted. "Heroes make sure that the criminals get locked up. Tell me what you did and I'll see what I can do." I said to him.

"I saw a one of our special jewels! I sort of had to assault someone to get it… Snotty little bitch needed to have a few teeth knocked out anyway. What was her name…? When I asked for it she told me this long boring story about how her father is a big and important pony… Her name… Diamond Tiara I think." Shadow said, explaining the situation. "You assaulted Diamond Tiara!?" Twilight asked, sounding worried. "If her father wants you in here, you'll stay in here! He's one of the richest ponies in Equestria!" Twilight shouted at Shadow. "There has to be some way to convince her father to let her out." I said, turning to face Twilight. "Could you take me to her?" I ask, getting an annoyed sigh. "I guess… She may not like it…" Twilight said, I smiled and said "Thanks Twilight, and Shadow, I'll take that gem." Shadow looked angry but handed it over to me. It was a bright red emerald.

Twilight started to lead me to Diamond Tiara's home, where we were greeted at the front door by the little brat herself. "Twilight? Still looking like a slob I see." She said to Twilight. "EW! Who's this fuzzy freak!? HE needs a serious hair cut!" She shouted, as soon as I was noticed. "Look we came here for a reason… My friend, you may know him… Shadow…" I had started but was cut off by her. "HIM!? He's your friend? What are you here to try and attack me too?" She asked. "N-NO! I just want to know what it'll take to get you to let him out." I said. She noticed the gem in my hand said "I'll take my beautiful gem back." I tossed it in the air and caught it. "Sorry kid, no can do. This baby doesn't belong to you." I replied. "I want it! I ALWAYS get what I want!" Diamond Tiara shouted at me. "Well you CAN'T have it!" I shouted back. "Look, how about I give you this gem?" I ask, pulling out a regular sapphire of a larger size. Her eyes lit up as she grabbed the gem and shouted "DEAL!" She ran inside before coming out ten minutes later, she said "It's all figured out! Not only do I have a new gem, but also Shadow's never getting out of there!" "WHAT?! YOU LITTLE BRAT! I THOUGHT WE HAD A DEAL!" I shouted at her, resisting the urge to strangle her.

"Yeah, about that… I lied! You really think I would let someone like THAT go?" She asked me. "Well then… Maybe I should take my gem back!" I shouted. "Not a chance!" She shouted at me. Before I could do anything we heard someone shout from inside the building "HEY! GET BACK HERE!" I saw a familiar robot, stomping his way through the home. "Primary directive activated… Destroy Sonic the Hedgehog." Omega bellowed as he noticed me. His hands retracted and were replaced with a pair of rotating flame turrets. "Oh crap…" I muttered before leaping out of the way of two columns of fire. Omega stomped outside, following me. "DESTROY!" Omega shouted, nearly hitting me with the flame. I grabbed two fist sized rocks and threw them at the turrets. I heard the all too familiar sound of metal crunching. We both looked at the turrets to see they were bent out of place, he retracted them and his hands reappeared. "Let's do this!" I shouted, stretching out my arm grabbing him by the shoulders, I slammed him into the street, before he grabbed onto my wrists and copied the attack. I grabbed onto one of his hands and ripped it out, causing sparks to fly from his wrist.

I jumped behind Omega and flipped open a panel on his back. I reached in a pulled out his power source a small motor. He instantly powered down, causing him to leave a large crack in the street. I noticed that a single piece of hard drive was popped out of place. I fixed it and put the motor back in, much to the alarm of several ponies. Omega powered back on and he stood up, examining his surroundings. "Where am I?" He asked, he turned and saw me. "Sonic… What has happened to you? Where are we?" I laughed before saying "Good to have yah back buddy." "Back? Where have I been? Why am I damaged?" He asked me. "You went back to fighting for Egg Man, but I noticed that one of your internal machine thingies was out of place so I popped it back in." I replied. "I… Fought for… Egg Man…?" He asked, sounding disappointed in himself. "Hey now, don't worry. I fixed yah up… Well… Not your hand or your turrets but I got you back to normal!" I exclaimed.

"Thank you… Where are we?" He asked me again. "Equestria." I replied. "Where are G.U.N. agents Shadow and Rouge?" He asked me. "Well, Shadow's in jail and I don't know where Rouge is." I replied. "Beginning repairs…" He said as his mechanical body started to repair itself. "Look, Diamond Tiara. We need to let Shadow out." I said to her. "Sonic… Allow me… You are making a serious mistake. Keeping a G.U.N Agent from doing his duty of protecting those who are innocent. G.U.N Agents keep the peace between others…" Omega had started. "He assaulted a little kid…" I said to him. "… He what…?" Omega asked me. "He assaulted this little kid." I said to him. "If this is some form of joke it is not funny." Omega said. "Yeah… He really assaulted a little kid… This little kid…" I replied. Omega groaned in anger. "Look without Shadow around, he'll be in a state of uncontrolled anger in which me might rip this city apart brick by brick." I said, she sighed before walking inside. She walked out another ten minutes later and said "He can go. Only because I don't want this city to be destroyed. It's where all my stuff is!" I smiled and Twilight, Omega and I walked away.

"Don't worry, we heard that Shadow is to be let go immediately." Celestia said as soon as we made it inside. Shadow walked out soon and noticed Omega. "Omega? What are you doing here?" He asked. "I do not know. I was back home, then I was on the ground, Sonic helping me up. He said one of my circuits popped out of place. He popped it back in and then I was normal." Omega explained. "Sonic, we need to speak about your dream." Luna said to me. "Sure… Well like I said it involved Discord and Egg Man." At the mention of Egg Man, Omega suddenly started looking around with his gun turrets out. "Egg Man! Where is he?" Omega asked. "No, we're talking about a dream I had." I explained, which got Omega to calm down. He opened up a chest compartment and pulled out what looked like a second of his motor, he started fiddling with it. "What's that for Omega?" Shadow asked. "I am planning on rebuilding E-102 Y codename: Gamma." He replied.

"I have copied the program which gave him his free will and his memories onto this flash drive. I plan to make him the exact way he once was." Omega continued. "Now then about my dream. If Egg Man really is here he won't be able to make his robotic army without a large supply of small woodland critters." I said. "FLUTTERSHY!" Twilight gasped before running out of the castle. "Come on guys!" I shouted before running after her. Shadow and Omega followed me.

We caught up with Twilight who was panting for breath, near town. We heard a scream, and rushed over to see Egg Man hovering above Fluttershy's home. "Just give up! I'll get those animals one way or another!" He shouted. Badniks surrounded her, until one exploded releasing a small blue bird. "Back away from the critters!" A familiar voice shouted. A red echidna was standing next to Fluttershy, who seemed frightened about the new arrival. Knuckles rushed over to the rest of the Badniks and defeated them. "Knuckles! You little pest!" Egg Man shouted. Several Buzz Bombers started to swarm the red echidna, followed by several Crabmeats, and Caterkillers. "Knuckles!" I shouted, ramming into one of the Caterkillers. "Sonic?" Knuckles asked me. "Hedgehog… You got my message I presume?" Egg Man asked. "You mean that dream?" I asked. "Yes, I am here to conquer Equestria! You can't stop me! Not this time! I'm working with someone who has inside information in this world!" He shouted, moving out of the way revealing Discord. "Hello again Sonic! Shadow!" He exclaimed. "Shadow, by the way, did you forget to tell them about our little meeting?" Discord asked.

"Shadow? What is he talking about?" I asked. "Discord is the reason I look like this! He threw some sort of dust in my face and then I turned into this!" Shadow shouted leaping at Discord, who simply disappeared in a cloud of smoke and reappeared behind Shadow. Discord made a feather come out of nowhere and attempted to tickle Shadow, which ended with him getting punched in the face. Discord was shocked from the blow, which caused him to plummet to the ground below. Discord screamed in terror as he fell the insane distance of… Two feet.

"That was a lot longer in my head." Discord said as he turned face us. I jumped grabbing onto Egg Man's machine, fighting against him. I grabbed onto a loose panel and ripped it off, I then pulled out the machine's power source a light blue gem. I landed, and the machine exploded, the smoke oddly resembled his face. I heard hooves and saw the rest of Twilight's friends rushed over. "You all right?" Knuckles asked Fluttershy, he held out his hand and helped her up. Their eyes met and Fluttershy blushed. "Sonic! Is everything… OH!" Rarity had started but stopped when she saw the two gems I was holding. "Where in Equestria did you find such stupendous gems?!" She asked me. "These? They come in a set of seven. Only they're filled with a rare mystical energy, known back home as Chaos Energy." I explained, but as soon as I said the word Chaos they all gasped. "Is something wrong?" Shadow asked. "Chaos? How can you hold such gems?! Chaos is a very bad thing! It's so mysterious and dangerous." Rainbow Dash shouted. "If you do not mind my asking, what is that place across from the small cottage?" Omega asked. "Sonic… Who is this?" Rarity asked. "I am E-123 Y codename: Omega." Omega answered before I could say anything. "This is Shadow, my biggest rival!" I said, before Twilight went to answer Omega's question. "HEY! WHAT AM I? CHOPPED LIVER!?" Knuckles asked. "Oh right! This is one of my best friends Knuckles! He's helped me beat Egg Man hundreds of times." I said.

"Well, now for E-123…" Twilight had started but was cut off by Shadow "Just call him Omega." Twilight looked irritated and started again. "Now for OMEGA'S question. That is the Everfree forest. It's a creepy place." "The clouds move on their own!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "And the animals take care of themselves." Fluttershy muttered. "And the plants grow on their own!" Applejack shouted. "That doesn't sound very different from back home. The plants grow on their own, the clouds move by themselves, and MOST of the animals care for themselves. Minus the exception of house plants, and house pets." Knuckles said.

"Your home is crazy!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "Well this place is pretty crazy! I mean talking horses? Magical creatures? What part of that isn't crazy!?" Knuckles exclaimed. Rainbow Dash pushed him down, he grabbed onto her leg and pulled her down. "Don't push me!" Knuckles shouted. "Why shouldn't I mole?" Rainbow Dash asked. "What did you just call me?" Knuckles asked. "MOLE!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "I'm sorry, I don't think I heard you. Could you repeat that?" Knuckles asked. "Want me to spell it out for you? M-O-L-E MOLE!" Rainbow yelled, she was then almost punched in the jaw by Knuckles. "Knuckles! I can understand you being angry but there is no need to punch her with your GIANT FUCKING FIST OF DOOM!" I shouted. "Hey watch your FUCKING LANGUAGE!" He shouted back.

Omega knocked our heads together, making us both wince in pain. "What the hell Omega?!" I asked. "You both need to calm down. You were both in danger of fighting each other." Omega said. I growled before storming off. "Sonic wait!" Twilight shouted, chasing after me. Once she caught up I stopped walking. "What's his deal?" She asked me. "Knuckles? He doesn't really like people that much. More of a lone wolf… I was like that too once, but then I met my other best friend. I think it's because he grew up alone. Trapped on an island that floated in the sky. He protects a large gem, known as the Master Emerald. Without it, the Chaos Emeralds would be out of control." I explained. "So he's an orphan?" Twilight asked. "I guess you could say that." I replied. We moved back towards the group to see Knuckles running from a herd of rabbits. "No, no, no, no, no, no, no!" He shouted before the rabbits tackled him.

"What the…?" Twilight was about to ask until she noticed he was laughing. "All right get off me." Knuckles said, as the little animals crawled off. "Knuckles always did have a soft spot for critters." I said, as the rabbits crowded around him. "Hey Twilight? You think you know something that could fix me?" I asked. "I might know a few spells." She responded, before her horn began to glow. I soon felt a warm light fill my body. There was a bright flash and I was the same as I was. "Looks like it didn't work…" I commented. Twilight looked sad but I smiled and said "We'll figure it out later! I believe that if all of us work together, we can solve this puzzle!" Everyone smiled before a loud crash was heard from the Everfree forest.

4. Chapter 3

Hey guys I thought that since Tails is always with Sonic, he wouldn't feature in this Fanfiction... At least not directly, he will be mentioned as he already was. I decided to make an old foe, a new friend: Metal Sonic. Please don't hate on me for this decision!

Chapter 3

We turned to face the Everfree forest, footsteps getting closer and closer. Fluttershy hid behind Knuckles. Nothing happened, so I approached, noticing a familiar foe. Metal Sonic was lying there, he slowly rose to his feet and stared at me. "AH! What the…? Where am I? Who are you!?" He asked. Omega walked over and plugged a flash drive into him, causing Metal Sonic to give a few sudden twitches, and his eyes shut off. When they came back on he looked at me. "Sonic? Is that you? I feel different… Like… I don't hate you… Maybe… This could be a new leaf for me? Yeah! I swear from this moment on I will help you fight Egg Man!" He shouted at me. "Uh… Great to hear it…" I replied. "You know this… Thing?" Twilight asked. "He's one of Egg Man's robots… Omega must have used the rebellion program on him… Well, at least he won't try to kill me anymore!" I exclaimed before turning to face Shadow.

"You need to get used to your new body. First off, you may be able to stretch out your arms like this." I said, grabbing a stick several feet away. Shadow tried it, his arms stretched… and ended up punching Knuckles. "Uh… At least you can do it. You should be able to still us your Chaos abilities. Chaos Control and Chaos Blast." I said.

"Hold up… Chaos Blast? Chaos Control? Would anypony care to explain those terms for us?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Shadow has the ability to manipulate the Chaos Energy that flows through him. With a Chaos Emerald, he can use either the destructive power of Chaos Blast, or us the harmonic power of Chaos Control to either slow down or stop time, even to teleport!" I explained. "How did you meet someone with such amazing abilities?" Rarity asked. "Simple… He tried to kill me." I replied, picking at my claws. "WHAT!?" The Mane Six asked. "Yeah he tried to kill me, we teamed up and saved the universe." I explained. "Ok… ow… My brain hurts…" Rainbow Dash said. I rolled my eyes before looking at the group… Shadow, Knuckles, Omega, Metal Sonic, and me… I had a feeling we weren't here by coincidence. Something must have summoned us here… But what. "Sonic? Are you ok?" Twilight asked, me breaking my train of thought. I nodded before noticing that Knuckles was gone… I heard him grunting in the distance.

I moved through the Everfree forest until I saw him punching at a rotting stump. "You really taking your anger out on nature?" I asked. He didn't reply, he continued punching the stump until it broke open revealing a dark green shard. "Don't tell me… It broke again!?" I asked, trying to hold back my laughter. "Yeah…" He replied grabbing the green shard. "So that means that Angel Island…" I started, but Knuckles finished for me "Is floating in the ocean instead of the sky." "Man you have the worst luck!" I shouted, grabbing at is shoulder. He smacked my hand away before trudging off deeper into the forest. "Knuckles come back! You don't know what could be in there! Fine! If you get eaten don't come crying to me!" I shouted. I ran in his direction, finding him sitting on a large stone. "Is something wrong big guy?" I asked.

"Look… Just… Just leave me alone… Ok…?" He asked. I tilted my head in confusion before asking "Knuckles? Do you need to talk about something?" He slowly nodded. "Well… You can tell me all right buddy?" "I think I know how we got here… It's my fault… Egg Man… Tricked me… Again…" He muttered. "You know, you act like this is the first time this has happened. I think you're going soft!" I shouted. "What… What the hell did you just say…?" He asked me. "The Knuckles I know wouldn't sit here moping around, he would find that Egg Man and kick his ass into next week! You must be goin soft!" I shouted. He tried to punch me but missed. I laughed as I ran back towards the group, breaking from the bushes, startling them. Knuckles charged after me, punching at my arms shouting "NOW WHO'S GOING SOFT!? I AM NOT GOING SOFT! I AM STILL THE HARDCORE TREASURE HUNTER THAT I ALWAYS WAS!" He stopped eventually, noticing that he was back by the others. "You feeling better now?" I asked. "Yes… I do… How did that not hurt? Normally you'd at least have shouted at me." Knuckles replied. "Thick arms… They work great for smashing stuff." I replied.

"Did you say something about…? Treasure?" Rarity asked. "Yeah… I'm a treasure hunter! The best there is! I can find anything! Gold, silver, and especially various gems." Knuckles said boasting. "GEMS!?" Spike shouted, from Ponyville, we heard his feet hitting the grass as he ran towards us. "Did I hear someone mention gems?" He asked, noticing the chaos Emeralds. "Hey Sonic… Could I have those gems?" He asked me. "I don't think so little buddy. You eat them they might kill you or turn you into some sort of giant monster! So no…" I replied. "What about that?" Spike asked, pointing at a shard of the Master Emerald. "If you so much as lick this shard… I'll rip off your tongue and hide it where you'll never find it!" Knuckles shouted. Spike ran behind Twilight, he peeked out at Knuckles. "Who eats gems anyway?" Shadow asked. "Dragons here do." Rarity responded.

"That… Makes… No… Sense…" Shadow replied. I looked at him and rolled my eyes. "Sonic! My sensors indicate a large Chaos spike! I suggest we investigate immediately." Omega told us. Metal Sonic turned to face Omega he looked at him before saying "One of my creator's old toys? I thought he had all the E-100 series scrapped." Omega turned to face him and shouted "At least I followed my orders and completed them!"

I grabbed them and knocked their heads together, before the fight could escalate. "OW! WHAT WAS THAT FOR!?" They both asked. "Don't fight each other. Focus on that Chaos spike." I replied. The group looked at me, before they all nodded, and I turned to face the Everfree. "LET'S DO THIS!"

5. Chapter 4

I am including elements from SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG… The game… And an original Sonic enemy upgrade, which I will do occasionally. THE FINAL HERO HAS BEEN LOCATED! AFTER HOURS OF PLANNING, THINKING, AND MOST OF ALL SLEEPING I FOUND OUT WHO THE FINAL SONIC CHARACTER WILL BE! SILVER THE HEDGEHOG! On a side note, I'm going to have Spike with the gang for the rest of the story so I'm actually planning on bringing in a seventh Sonic character… In the next chapter!

Chapter 4

"Before we set off I need to write a letter to Princess Celestia. Spike, get this down…" Twilight said before clearing her throat. "Dear Princess Celestia. Sonic has discovered more creatures from his home. Two are mechanical, one is a living being. One of the Mechanical creatures named "Omega" has detected a large energy spike. We plan to investigate this. We will come to visit you as soon as we are finished. Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle." Spike wrote down what she had said before the letter disappeared in a flash of green fire. "Whoa! How did you do that?" I asked. "It's what I do." Spike replied with a smirk. I looked at the forest before looking at the rest of the group. "We ready?" I asked. They nodded before we moved into the forest.

"So what should we expect?" Shadow asked. "Manticores, Ursa Minors, Timber Wolves, maybe even a Cockatrice or two. All very dangerous creatures." Twilight replied, before I heard a rustling sound. I turned to face the sound, and got into a defensive stance. A small rabbit jumped out before scratching its ear. "Just a rabbit." I muttered before a large mechanical claw grabbed the small animal. Fluttershy screamed before rushing after the creature. I ran after her, with the others close behind. We entered a field and the sight was horrifying. Factories were covering nearly the entire foundation of the field. Each one had large mechanical claws slithering through the forest, which would then return to the factory when it had an animal.

"Eggman… You'll pay for this!" I shouted rushing at one of the factories. Several Badniks rushed at me. I smashed them all with a single sweep of my arm, releasing the woodland creatures. I jumped on top of one and saw something strange. A single hatch was on top labeled "Maintenance Hatch" I ripped it off its hinges before leaping inside. It was cramped, barely able to move my arms I grabbed at a large power cable. I ripped it from its place, causing the factory to shut down.

I climbed out and leapt to another factory, repeating the process until not a single factory stood functional. I heard a slow clapping and turned to face the source, expecting Eggman. I was shocked to see an old friend standing on top of a factory. "You did great Sonic! I wouldn't have been able to do it better myself!" He cried before leaping in front of me. The silver colored hedgehog smiled before saying "You still remember me right buddy?" I smiled before replying "Like I could forget the guy who almost killed Sonic the Hedgehog. Silver, how you doing man? It's been WAY too long!" Twilight walked over to me and asked "If he almost killed you why are you being so friendly towards him?" I laughed before replying "It was just a big misunderstanding. He set things right and with my help saved the future!"

"Saved the future?" Spike asked. "You may not know it but Silver is actually a time traveler. He came to the past to eliminate the threat of his and the world's future! Which was mislabeled to be me." I explained. "Time travel? Saving the world? Everything you do sounds EPIC!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "Sometimes… Other times it's extremely serious. Like the Black Arms invasion." I replied. Shadow suddenly had a guilty look on his face. "Shadow? You're still not upset about what happened are you?" I asked. "No. What's past is past. I have paid for my mistakes…" He replied, suddenly losing the guilty look.

"You know guys… I've been thinking about that." Knuckles said. "That's scary." Shadow said with a smirk. "Seriously, if Shadow was created with Black Doom's DNA then wouldn't he technically be Shadow's father?" Knuckles asked, leaving everyone silent, until Silver spoke up. "Well Black Doom's DNA was used to help create Shadow, being the missing gene needed to create the ultimate life form, however it could mean a sort of parental bond was shared between the two that Shadow can't remember. Being such there might not have been a parental bond at all." Everyone stared at him confused besides Shadow and Twilight. "Can I get that in English?" I asked.

"Oh! Well they may not be directly related but there may have been a bond like that between a father and son." Silver rephrased and everyone let out an "Oh…" I looked at Shadow who seemed to tense up every time that Black Doom was mentioned. "Now then what ah' have been wonderin' who is this Black Doom feller?" Applejack asked, making Shadow seem even more nervous. "Well Black Doom was responsible for the Black Arms invasion. Being the leader of them he helped to create Shadow. He actually managed to trick Shadow into assisting him. He promised that he would tell Shadow all about his past… Which had been forgotten." I explained. They all looked at Shadow before baking up a few steps. "I thought I was doing the right thing… Helping him… I killed thousands… My crimes have yet but paid for… I nearly killed Sonic, but with his help I was set back straight. Fighting the good fight!" Shadow said. I frowned before shielding my eyes from the midday sun. "Where did Fluttershy get off to?" I asked.

"Well knowing her, once she saw all of this she hid like a scared little kid." Rainbow Dash said. Then as if on cue I noticed a cowering bush. I spread some of the branches and saw her shaking inside. "Fluttershy?" I asked scaring her. "HEY! CALM DOWN! IT'S ONLY ME! IT'S SONIC!" I shouted at her. "Sonic? OH IT WAS HORRIBLE! ALL THOSE ANIMALS! PLEASE YOU HAVE TO HELP THEM!" She shouted at me, tears streaming down her face. "Don't worry I already did shut them down. I set all the animals free too." I said to her, before I knew it she hugged me extremely hard, I didn't even think she could be that strong! "OH! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!" She shouted. "CAN'T… BREATHE…! SPINE… SNAPPING…!" I said between the small amounts of air my lungs could take. The others walked over and started to laugh, before she finally let me go. I slumped to the ground and started gasping for air.

"AIR! PLEASE AIR! OH OXYGEN, I'LL NEVER TAKE YOU FOR GRANTED AGAIN!" I shouted, making everyone else except Fluttershy laugh. I stood up and a loud crack was heard when I straightened out my back. "Oh… YOWCH! Oh… Ha… Ha ha… HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! Oh man that hurt. My back feels looser now, that's a bright side!" I noted before looking around. "Omega, I thought you said there was a Chaos spike around here." I said looking at him. "There was but it would seem that the factories upset the natural balance of the world here, causing energy waves that could be perceived as a Chaos Spike." He explained, before Metal Sonic butted in saying "However it could have been caused by something other than a Chaos Emerald. It might have been a large cluster of Chaos Shards. Meaning that Eggman stole or destroyed a large amount of G.U.N. robots. It could even a shard of the Master Emerald."

"I don't think so I would have been able to feel it then." Knuckles said before turning to face me. "What do you think Sonic?" Twilight asked me. "Well one thing's for sure. Eggman won't be able to use these factories anymore." I said before a loud buzzing interrupted my thoughts. I saw something that I knew would be trouble… A Buzz-Bomber, at least thirty feet tall, several cannons around the thorax of the robot, There were two large doors on the sides of the main body segment, they opened and released regular Buzz-Bombers. "Well, looks like Eggman has been busy." Shadow commented before the Giant robot fired at us.

"Metal Sonic, you know the most about Eggman's machines! What is this thing?" I asked as we dodged the attack it had launched. "Let me see… Buzz-Boomer… A larger scale Buzz-Bomber with the ability to create regular Buzz-Bombers. As long as those door are operational it could make an entire army on its own!" He shouted to me. "Any major power sources?" Knuckles asked. "Two powering the doors, the main power source is unknown. The eyes! The eyes are the smaller power source." Metal Sonic told him.

Rainbow Dash quickly flew at Buzz-Boomer, slamming her front hooves into its left eye. The glass guarding it cracked, before she had to retreat from it. I jumped at it before grabbing onto a side and punching at the cracked eye. It quickly shattered, revealing the two small motors. I reached in and ripped it out, before a Buzz-Bomber attacked me launching me into the air and hurdling towards the ground below. I was about five feet from the ground when I suddenly stopped midair, just hovering there. I saw Silver had his eyes closed concentrating. A light blue aura had surrounded me, lowering me to the ground. I looked at the psychic hedgehog before giving him a nod and leaping back at Buzz-Boomer. Shadow was dealing with several Buzz-Bombers, with the help of Twilight, Applejack and Pinkie. While Omega, Metal Sonic, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash were fighting off others. Fluttershy was cowering by Knuckles who was helping Silver take down a third group of Buzz-Bombers. I was on my own.

Looking up I shot out my arm and grabbed onto one of the wings, before pulling myself up. I attacked the other eye shattering it, and grabbing the motor inside. There was a loud CACHUNK CLANK BANG! As the doors releasing Buzz-Bombers slammed shut. I smiled in triumph as Buzz-Boomer was now unable to create backup. Suddenly I felt a pain in my chest, causing me to fall onto my knees… Then I flopped onto my stomach, noticing the Buzz-Boomer's head explode, and a familiar figure moving towards me. I felt it harder to concentrate. Then I blacked out…

6. Chapter 5

I said that I would bring in a seventh Sonic character and I decided that I will not tell you… You must figure it out on your own… Or until his name is said in the story, however someone said I should build a little more of a story around the characters appearance instead of just bringing them in so I'll try to do just that. I also thought that I would bring in the actual element from the game transforming by night, so he will be normal during the day due to several requests sent to my E-mail… HOW DO YOU KEEP GETTING MY E-MAIL!? On a lighter note I'm bringing in Derpy for a scene and using both of the names given to her… Derpy and Ditzy.

Chapter 5

"Sonic?" I heard a voice ask. "Sonic…! Wake up…!" "C'mon you're almost there!" "Is…Is he going to be okay?" "I'm sure he'll be fine… Right?" "Of course… He's survived worse…" I slowly opened my eyes, and saw some of was around me, however something was different… I put a gloved hand on my head and quickly jerked it back. Gloves…? Was I…? "Sonic! You're awake!" I heard Twilight shout. "Hey… No need to be so loud…" I said barely awake. "What happened? Am I a…?" I started but was cut off by Shadow, who said "No. You're you again." Looking at him he was normal too.

I sat up rapidly and asked "What about Buzz-Boomer?" "We can't really explain that… Its head suddenly exploded and a mysterious bird like figure escaped…" Silver said, before Shadow finished "With a Chaos Emerald…" "WHAT!?" I shouted filled with shock. "We don't know who it would be… Would you?" Rarity asked me. "Someone does come to mind but… It couldn't be…" I muttered. I got out of bed and stretched my legs. "So this is what you normally look like?" Pinkie asked me. I nodded and asked "So what made me normal?" "When Buzz-Boomer was destroyed it sent out this wave of Chaos Energy." Metal Sonic explained.

I looked around the small room and asked "So where are we?" "In a hospital…" Twilight replied. "Well let's not stay here much longer than we need to." I said, heading for the exit. Once outside I noticed that we were in a small town. Colorful buildings surrounded me. "Huh. This place sure is different." I said, as I walked towards the edge of the forest. Suddenly a flash of gray was in my face and I was on the ground. I looked in front of me and saw a Pegasus, her eyes were yellow and crossed, and she got to her feet and looked at me before letting out a shriek of surprise. I jumped back and asked "Are you all right?" "Oh… I think so… What happened?" She asked me. "Well that's what I was going to ask you. I was just walking when you slammed into me." I replied.

"Oh! Sorry, I must have lost control looking for my muffin." She said quickly. "Hey don't worry about it." I replied with a smile. "So what's your name?" She asked me. "I'm Sonic! Sonic the Hedgehog!" I said taking my trademark pose. "How about you?" I asked. "Well my name is Ditzy Doo, but everyone calls me…" She had started but was cut off by Rainbow Dash who shouted "Derpy! You all right?" "Don't worry she's fine. Just a little collision." I said with a smile. "Derpy, huh?" I asked her. "It's more of a nickname…" She told me. "Well back home I go by a few different names too! The Blue Blur, the Speedster, and the Fastest Thing Alive!" I shouted with pride. "You're not going to get a major ego problem again are you?" Knuckles asked me. "C'mon Knuckles! I've matured a lot since then." I replied getting a laugh from him.

Rainbow Dash flew right in my face and shouted "JUST WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?" I was startled and took a step back. "CLAIMING TO BE THE FASTEST THING ALIVE! THAT'S A LAUGH! EVERYPONY KNOWS THAT I'M THE FASTEST THING ALIVE!" She continued with her verbal assault. "HA! This is too good! You both honestly believe you're faster than me?" Shadow asked. "All right I know how we can settle this! A race!" I said. "You think you can beat ME in a race?" Rainbow Dash asked me, with a cocky grin. "Not just anywhere! Through there." I said pointing at the Everfree Forest. "The Everfree forest!? Are you insane!? There is no way Rainbow would…" Twilight had started but then stopped when she noticed Rainbow Dash not even two feet away from me. She spoke three words and pushed me at the same time "BRING… IT… ON!" I smiled and said "Today! Exactly noon! You, Me, and Shadow. I'll prove not only I'm the fastest hedgehog, but the fastest thing ever!" I replied.

-1 hour later-

I ran the length of the field again, stopping to take a drink of water. "Not to mention there are many more creatures that we don't know about!" Twilight said to me, trying to get me to forfeit the race. "Not a chance! I'm going to prove I'm faster, she needs her ego brought down a little." I replied. "That's what makes her… Her!" Twilight tried to reason. "Look I'm doing this race!" I replied when Knuckles ran over to me. "It's time! You ready to show them whose boss?" He asked me. I smiled before rushing past him. We were lined up, Shadow, Rainbow Dash then I. Fluttershy held the flag in her mouth, her eyes filled with nervousness, she swung the flag and we were off. I was in the lead, with Shadow behind me, and Rainbow Dash behind him. Shadow, was catching up, we were eventually neck and neck, until Rainbow Dash shot past us, leaving a rainbow trail.

"What's the matter? Can't keep up?" She teased. "So what if you're faster than me right now. I'm only going at a light jog!" I shouted before going to full speed. Shadow, realizing that he was being left behind in the dust, sped up too. The three of us where in a tie, racing, focusing on victory. Then I noticed the canyon ahead, feeling my heart race, I prepared to jump it. I leapt, and fell straight into it. Thinking quickly I was able to spin dash up the other side and get back into the race. I rushed past Shadow, and saw the finish line, Rainbow Dash was about five feet away. I bolted past her and leapt across the finish line, skidding as I landed. "HAH! I told you I was fastest!" I shouted at Rainbow Dash, who looked angry. "You… You must… Cheating! Yeah that's it! You cheated somehow didn't you?" She asked me. I smiled and said "I may not have cheated, but you were pretty fast… Wait… Where's Shadow?" Shadow trudged out of the forest with a Manticore biting his leg. Shadow turned and punched it a few times in the face, before it let go and ran back.

Shadow walked over to me, lifted me over his head, and threw me straight up. "NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!" I shouted, before Rainbow Dash grabbed me by the foot. "Very funny, now put me down, all the blood is rushing to me head!" I told her, she smiled and let go. "AW COME ON!" I yelled before face planting in the dirt. "Still think you're faster than me?" She asked. I thought about what would be the right thing to say before answering "Yeah."

7. Chapter 6

I thought that Sonic should have a device that lets him use his Wisp Powers so I'll give him one! He can use it anytime and combined with his Werehog form who knows what will happen!

Chapter 6

"Cockatrice? Sounds like a made up animal to me." I said to Twilight. "I can personally assure you that it's real. I saw one and well… let's just say things weren't very pleasant." She replied. "TWILIGHT!" We heard Spike shout, before he came bursting through the door, knocking us down. I opened my eyes to see that Twilight and I were nose to nose, her beautiful violet eyes shining. We both stood up, and gave a nervous laugh.

"Spike. What's the matter?" I asked the purple dragon. "It's Eggman! He's attacking Canterlot!" He yelled at me. I ran outside and felt a pain in my chest, noticing the rising moon, I realized what has going on. Twilight ran outside and bumped into me, I turned in my Werehog form and scared her. "Sonic? What happened?" She asked me. I chuckled nervously before saying "I guess I'm not one hundred percent normal… Any way… We need to get to Canterlot!" I grabbed Twilight and slung her under my right arm, Spike under the left. I started running towards the large city but realized that I wouldn't make it in time. I set the two down before shouting "Get on!" Twilight awkwardly climbed onto my back with Spike on hers. "Hold on tight!" I shouted before running on all fours.

"Do you do this kind of thing often?" Twilight asked. "Not usually, most of the time I run on my legs!" I replied, just making it into the city. Several Egg Pawns roamed the streets. I lowered myself to the ground and said "I do believe this is your stop!" Twilight hopped off and when I stood up straight I said "Please ride the Sonic Express again." I smiled before slamming one of my fists into the nearest Egg Pawn. "Who's next?" I asked before rushing them, I slammed into several ones before I remembered something. On my wrist was a bracelet, I pushed a small button and shouted "Frenzy!" I was engulfed in a dark aura, I went into Frenzy and started devouring the Egg Pawns, and suddenly I felt something rising up my throat. I let out a loud burp, sending shards of metal shooting out like bullets from a gun. "Well, well, well… If it isn't AH!" Eggman shouted having appeared. "Really? Relying on those Wisp powers to help you? HAH!" He yelled before the Wisp power wore off.

"All right Eggman, I think it's about time you…" CRACK! "Ah…" I muttered before spitting out a bolt, then I reached inside of my mouth and pulled out a tooth. "A tooth… You happy Eggman?" I asked leaping at him. I was tackled by something that I didn't even realize. It was a robotic version of the current me. "Say hello to Metal Sonic 2.0. It changes like you do, during the night then back during the day. Much more impressive than that old model." Eggman shouted.

"I'll tear this bag of bolts apart!" I screamed with pure rage before I punched at the beast. It dodged my attack, and tried the same thing. I dodged it and grabbed its arm before throwing into a nearby street lamp. I rushed at it before grabbing it by the shoulders and head butting it… Bad idea. I recoiled in pain as the robotic menace grabbed me, and punched me repeatedly in the stomach. "Step away from the hedgehog." I heard someone say. I looked and saw Omega with Metal Sonic, who both were in a battle stance.

"I can't believe you! Betraying your own master! Your creator! I'll make sure you both end up as scrap metal!" Eggman shouted before he piloted the Egg Mobile into the Egg Breaker. I took the opportunity to attack Metal Sonic 2.0, who was distracted by his master's speech. The robot was knocked away, only to have it get speared by a metal pole thrown from above it. I was confused until a green figure ran past me, attacking the Egg Breaker. I grabbed the figure and threw him into a building. "All right who… What the!?" I shouted as soon I pulled the dummy towards me. "A fake!?" I turned and saw the actual creature fighting Eggman, who was losing due to the combined strength of Omega, Metal Sonic, and the mystery hero. "GAH! No! This can't be! I'll get you for this!" Eggman shouted as he detached from the Egg Breaker and flew off. Omega had the figure in a headlock, who was shouting. "Let me go! You can't do this to me! HEY!" I walked over and saw that he was wearing a green robe, but a yellow beak was visible. I pulled the hood down and smiled. "Well, if it isn't Jet the hawk!" I said, while Jet struggled to break free of Omega's grip. "What did being a thief get too boring for you?" I asked him. "Look Sonic! I know how to get home, and to do it we need those Chaos Emeralds! I don't care who I got to stomp on to get back!" Jet shouted at me.

"Well, until we got 'em all, you can hang with us." I exclaimed. "I'd rather jump off a cliff than be around you." Jet said. "You know that can be arranged." I told him. "NO! NO! NO! I was just joking! Heh, heh, heh!" Jet shouted nervously. "I'm just messing with you! I'm a hero not a killer." I said to him. "Sonic! Is everyone all right?" I heard Twilight shout. She had the rest of the mane six with her, along with Knuckles, Shadow, and Silver. "Everyone's fine I even found our little Emerald thief." I said looking at Jet. "Jet? Looks like you've been up to no good again! Let me at him!" Knuckles shouted, before I started holding him back. "Look now is not the time for this, he's agreed to help us so we'll let him off the hook for now." I said.

8. Chapter 7

HEY ALL! I finished my Starcraft/MLP crossover, it is only two chapters long though. I only got one OC for it! I would like to thank werewolf99 who gave me an awesome OC to use for it! Now then on with the story! I try to explain to the best of my knowledge of how Sonic went through his first transformation.

Chapter 7

"So Sonic? You want to tell us how this happened to you?" Knuckles asked me as we walked through the crisp evening air. "I actually thought you guys would have asked sooner. It all started when the planet split. I was fighting Eggman, who trapped me and used some sort of machine to drain the Chaos Emeralds of their power, while causing me extreme pain. He was trying to unleash some evil ancient deity… Dark Gaia. Luckily it was awoken prematurely and still sleeping. If Dark Gaia had all of its energy with it during its sleeping form it would have destroyed itself, causing the planet to fix again, and the cycle to start over. It gave some of that energy to me, but I was able to fight the evil and keep control of myself." I explained.

"And where was I when all this happened?" Knuckles asked me. "I don't know! Maybe on Angel Island… By the way how is your search coming?" I asked. "I found about… Three shards of the Master Emerald." Knuckles replied. Spike ran up to us and started frantically waving his arms and shouting in gibberish. "Spike! Calm down!" I said grabbing his shoulders and shaking him. "Yeah, tell us what's wrong." Knuckles calmly said. "It's Twilight! She and Fluttershy went out hours ago and hadn't come back!" Spike shouted at us. I sighed before asking "Why is it that you always bring me bad news? I would like some good news every once in a while!" I replied, before looking at Knuckles and saying "Let's go. You, me, and Spike." "Don't think you're leaving me out of this!" I heard Rainbow Dash shout. "All right then… You, me, Spike, and Rainbow Dash. If Eggman has them we want a smaller group so we won't be detected as easily." I said before we rushed off.

-1 Hour Later-

"You're sure they went this way?" I asked Spike, looking at the dark, dingy cave. "Yes." Spike replied before I walked in and saw a pair of large red eyes. Fire was shot at me before I exited the cave covered in ash. "Maybe it was that way…" Spike muttered. I shook it off and turned to face the baby dragon. "You are so lucky you're one of my friends…" I muttered. I looked around and noticed something… "Guys! I think I found their trail!" I shouted having discovered hoof prints. "Great job Sonic!" Spike said to me. We followed them and they lead to the foot of a cliff. "They go this way… But then they just end…" I said, before starting to think. I heard a loud crash and saw that the wall that was there was gone. "Knuckles… Did you just start punching things again?" I asked. Knuckles looked at me and smirked before replying "Maybe I did, maybe I didn't."

We traveled inside the newfound path and what I saw horrified me. A Badnik factory, larger than any other one I had seen. They hadn't come here willingly they were forced to! The halls were strangely unguarded, the only sound was our feet (Hooves in Rainbow Dash's case) hitting the metal floor. "Man this place is abandoned… Not even the machines are making Badniks…" I muttered, before several lights turned on around us. I looked back and noticed the sun rising, the light inside was warm… Almost like sunlight… A yellowish glow enveloped me before I returned to normal.

We moved on until we found a split in the path… The left tunnel was exceptionally bright, the right was as dark as night. "All right, were gonna split up! Knuckles! You and Rainbow Dash go down the right tunnel, while Spike and I go down the left." I told them. "Wait! We do we get the dark tunnel? I think Knuckles and I should get the bright one!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "All right. I was just giving out suggestions…" I replied nervously. Looking down the dark tunnel I felt my quills stiff up. I looked to see Knuckles and Rainbow Dash about halfway down their tunnel.

"Is something wrong Sonic?" Spike asked me. "I just got a bad feeling about this tunnel is all…" I replied before stepping into the darkness. I waited for the transformation but it never came. "Huh? I looked around suddenly noticing the bright tunnel. "Must have some sort of trick… Maybe a hologram… An illusion of some sort…?" I asked trying to wrap my head around this. "Whatever it is I'm just glad we won't be wandering around in the dark." Spike said before we continued on.

"So Sonic… I was wondering something… Why is it that you seem to clam up when you and Twilight are alone?" Spike asked me. "Uh… I… I don't know what you're talking about…" I tried to avoid the question. "Sonic, anyone with eyes could see it… Maybe… No… Sonic do you…" "Not now!" "Like…" "Spike I mean it!" "Her…" Spike finished. I stopped before looking at him. "Look you have to promise not to tell anyone… Especially not Twilight! Got it…?" I asked him. Spike nodded before we continued on. "Man… This place sure is one heck of a maze…" I commented before stepping on something. I looked down and saw a Badnik, broken, beaten, and chewed up.

"Looks like this thing took a beating…" Spike said, going to poke the Badnik. I grabbed his hand and said "We don't know if it's been fully destroyed… Something could still be working in there…" We moved on until I heard Twilight's voice… "Let us go! Sonic will come and teach you a lesson!" I heard a soft whimpering as well. "I don't think Sonic would be of any help… Not with my greatest invention here to help me…" I heard Eggman say cockily. I rushed in with Spike on my back and saw an empty room… A tape recorder on the floor. "Ah Sonic… If you're hearing this message than you've fallen right into my trap!" The recording played. Suddenly the exits were closed off by large metal doors.

"Knowing you, you had a little help to get in here didn't you, Hedgehog? Well this will be both your doom! Behold! My latest, and greatest creation! The Egg Shark!" Suddenly the floor disappeared dropping me and Spike into a large pool of water. There was a platform floating in the center of the round chamber, then one crucial came to mind… I have no idea how to swim… I started flailing my arms and legs while shouting in terror. Spike managed to help me get to the platform where he asked "Sonic, what happened!? You sunk like a rock!" I coughed spitting water onto the metal. "That's what happens when don't know how to swim…" I replied as I stood up. I heard screaming as Twilight landed in my arms. Just as I set her down Fluttershy landed in them. I set her down, and a large metal hatch opened releasing what I presumed to be the Egg Shark, which was a large robotic shark… "A robot shark? I think I saw this in a movie or two…" I said, before the beat lunged at us, tilting the platform.

I slid down towards the mechanical menace's gnashing metallic teeth. I managed to slide past the teeth, and I found myself near its power source: A Chaos Emerald. When it shut its jaws I realized something it was airtight, even they were designed to keep out all forms of liquid. The generator holding the Emerald wasn't waterproof. It also meant that I had limited oxygen while in here. I managed to crawl my way to its mouth and felt it lunge at the platform again, as soon as it open its mouth I leapt out. I noticed a loose chunk of metal on the platform and ripped it off, I turned to face the Egg Shark which was swimming again. It lunged at me and I shoved the chunk of metal in between its jaws, wedging them open. It quickly went back under the water and after a series of quick jerks it ceased moving. I jumped onto its back and found a hatch, opening it I reached inside and removed the Chaos Emerald. "All right, I'm going to try something… It might not work but it would at least get us out of this hole…" I said jumping back over to the others. "Everyone get close…" I instructed.

Once everyone was close to me I concentrated and shouted "Chaos… CONTROL!" In a bright flash of green light we were standing just outside the entrance of the hole. "Sonic? Did you find them?" I heard Knuckles shout from a farther down hall. I didn't respond, I was too tired… Fighting a giant robot shark and using Chaos Control isn't easy. "Sonic?" I heard Knuckles ask, much closer. "Sonic! You found them!" Rainbow dash shouted. I smiled and weakly replied "Yeah… Let's… Let's just… Get out of here…" I started walking and nearly fell over. Spike had helped me straighten up, "Listen Sonic… Maybe you should rest a bit… Doing that… Thing… Must have really drained your energy…" Spike said. "No… We have to get out… Before Eggman… Comes back…" I said before trying to walk again.

"Then at least let us help you." Twilight said her voice full of concern. "All right… I could probably… Use it…" Twilight and Knuckles helped me leave the factory, but one thing kept bugging me… That single Badnik that Spike and I saw… What did that to it…?

9. Chapter 8

In this chapter I decided to speed up the romance! I was planning on bringing this in later but I thought of a better ending that requires them to start now! After much thought I will be making a sequel that does accept OC's but not until I finish all 30 chapters of this story! It will focus on Shadow having been… Oops! I almost told you the plot 3! So I have decided that Silver will also play one of my favorite songs. So you can go on YouTube or other site where you can play music and actually have it play!

Chapter 8

I glanced up from the book I was reading when I heard the door to the Library open. I saw a pony with a brownish tan coat a darker mane and tail with light violet eyes, her cutie mark was a pink Treble Cleft. I had seen her around town but never had an opportunity to speak with her… Not that I was interested in her or anything, she just seemed to be the kind of pony you could have a nice conversation with.

"Can I help you?" I asked her. "Um… Yes… I was expecting a book of music to come in today." She replied. I moved through the many shelves of books until I found one with a note stuck on it that read "Reserved for Octavia". "You Octavia?" I asked her. She nodded before I pulled the book off the shelf and checked it out. "Are you new around town?" She asked me. I smiled before replying "Fairly new. I'm actually staying in the library for the time being…" "So I take it you know Twilight?" She asked me. "Yeah, I actually volunteered to help her out around here… Didn't want to seem like dead weight you know?" I answered before handing her the book.

"It's due in about three weeks." I told her before asking "So what do you do for a living?" "Well… I'm a musician…" She replied, before asking "So where are you from? You obviously aren't from here." I laughed before saying "You got that right! I'm not even really sure how I got here… I just woke up in a forest and several guards surrounded me. I was being accused of a crime I didn't even commit! Everything worked out though… I'm Sonic by the way."

Octavia smiled before saying "Well, I should get going…" "Oh! Sorry if I kept you from something important." I said before she left. I sat back down and picked up the book again. The door opened again revealing Twilight, and the Elements. "Hey Sonic. How's your book?" Twilight asked me. "It's good for the five pages I read so far… I just can't get into it… Something's bugging me…" I replied.

"What would that be?" Rarity asked. "When Spike, Knuckles, Rainbow Dash, and I rescued Twilight and Fluttershy, there was this Badnik… It was in horrible condition… It had taken a beating… Bite marks, claw marks, and things I couldn't figure out too…" I replied before setting down the book. "I'm sure a pony couldn't do any of that… So what's bugging me is…" I started before Twilight finished the sentence "What did do it…" Her voice was serious and cold. "It's been three weeks since then and Eggman hasn't attacked once… He's planning something… I can tell you that much…" I said. "I need to go take a walk and think about this… Oh, and Twilight? Octavia came by to pick up her book. I got it checked out and everything." I said before walking out the Library.

I walked down the stone roads, before looking in a store it was an instrument store, inside I saw Silver sitting at a piano. I walked in and he didn't notice me. I saw him take a deep breath before singing.
