A/N: Been a long time since I updated, well... to sum it up, it's because I've been working on schoolwork since I've entered second and final semester of school. That's right, I'll be graduating this June. Enough chit-chat though, here's the new chapter. Also, I may or may not write another book of Smarty... but if I ever do, I'll probably have it a few months after Maleficia's attack and during the fourth season's events.

Twilight looked at her hooves and then the rest of herself. It wasn't her at all! She and Smarty looked completely different when crossing the gateway to the alternate world. Twilight realized that she, Spike and Smarty had been put into a completely awkward situation.

"Twilight! You have to get it together!" Spike said, after that moment when she literally screamed about seeing her hooves changed to something completely different.

Twilight stopped hyperventilating and just breathed in and out to relax the situation down. After a sigh, Twilight looked at both Smarty and Spike, saying "What… does the rest of 'me' look like?" in a sort of panicked tone.

Smarty just put on yet again another innocent smile and said "The rest of you looks fine, Twilight." He had to hide the fact that she changed a bit. Spike shot Smarty a stern look and turned back to Twilight, sighing and walking on four paws up towards her.

"Um, like you. Only not you… your muzzle's really small." Spike said, causing Smarty to place his hand on his face in disappointment.

"My muzzle?!" Twilight shouted before seeing the different muzzle she had. She was beginning to panic once again and was about to scream until Smarty had to place his hand on her to silence her from screaming in panic.

"Are you gonna scream again?" Spike said, with Twilight finally calming down from her almost breaking panic. Smarty removed his hand from her mouth to let her get a sigh of confusion. Spike then looked around and said "Where are we?"

Twilight looked over to the portal and said "I don't know… but this must serve as the gateway back to Equestria." Twilight placed her hand into the portal to see that it became her ordinary hoof back in her normal world. Twilight placed her hand out from the portal and turned to Smarty, saying "We need to find my crown as soon as possible and get back there. I suggest we start searching the castle first."

"Works for me." Smarty agreed, standing up on his two legs and Twilight just remained on the ground, letting Spike jump onto her back. Twilight began to gallop like a horse when she realized that a person that look just like them in that form saw them awkwardly, causing Spike to tap her back with Smarty just trying to get used to walking on two legs.

"Yeah, I don't think that's how the new you is supposed to-" Spike said before Twilight got up on her two legs and blushed in embarrassment at the person walking his dog. The person just rolls his eyes and walks away with his dog with him.

Twilight began struggling to move forward on her two legs while standing with Smarty eventually getting a hold of his walking on two legs. Twilight was about to fall over, but Smarty managed to catch her right hand with his left hand. Twilight blushed a bit and then got a hold on the railings up the stairs. "Come on both of you, I do not want to be like this longer than I have to." She said, coming up to the top of the stairs.

"Well look on the bright side, at least you don't have those pesky wings to worry about anymore." Spike said, before Twilight shot him a look not to mention the wings when she got them.

Twilight finally stood on her two legs and walked straight face-first into the glass doors. She was a bit doozy from being blocked, and then grunted to try and use her magic, but then she realized that something was wrong. "My magic! It isn't working!" She said, with a mix of being shocked and surprised.

"Makes sense. You don't exactly have your horn." Spike said, being as calm as he can be.

"WHAT?!" Twilight shouted in big surprise, causing Smarty to step ahead of her.

Smarty just sighed and said "Twilight, we both really need to find you a mirror." He then pushed open the door into the school and let Twilight in first, putting a blush on her face. Smarty just shot back a loving look to her and began to hold her hand when they trotted towards a glass frame inside of the large hall that actually was called 'Canterlot High' from the inside.

Twilight looked into the frame and could see various trinkets that were gold, silver and bronze, sometimes they were names displayed in silver on the wooden paintings. "What do you think, Spike? Other artifacts she's stolen from Equestria?" Twilight asked, until she realized that she was seeing her reflection in the frame. She softly gasped and began to look at herself and Smarty. "What… are we?" She asked.

The bell began to ring and the three of them turned to look and see a bunch of people coming down the aisles like a hurricane was invading. They were trapped in the crowds, getting pushed around, slapped and thrown around causing them to duck under the 'students' who looked quite like their pony friends back in Ponyville. The two of them were thrown into an aisle of lockers and they both bumped into someone, and they looked up to see a boy with blue hair.

"Are both of you okay?" He said, lending a hand to both of them. He both took his hand and got up off the floor, before watching the boy disappear into the busy main hall.

"I don't think this is a castle." Spike said, before walking on his four paws down the aisle of the school with Smarty and Twilight. Smarty just looked at Twilight and saw that she was going to sing.

I've never seen a place

That's quite like this

Everything is turned around

This crazy world is upside-down

Getting on my feet

It's the hand that I was dealt

But I don't have much time with them

Got to learn all that I can

They don't use any magic or fly with any wings

I don't get these funny clothes, skinny legs or tiny nose

Everything's confusing when it seems so new

But I look a little closer and it starts to feel familiar too

Twilight, Smarty and Spike continued down the hallway until they heard someone yelling at another person who sounded shy. They came down the aisle of school lockers to see what was going on. "Oh, I'm really sorry. I just found it and I thought I should give it to her. I didn't know you had dropped it." The voice said that both Twilight and Smarty knew was Fluttershy's voice.

All three of them peeked around the corner to see the two other students just watching the female person with the same colour as the mane of Sunset Shimmer back in Equestria. "Well, I did! And I was about to get it until you swooped in and ruined everything! You shouldn't pick up things that don't belong to you." The female said to the different version of Fluttershy. Twilight could now recognize this voice as the thief who stole her crown.

"It doesn't really belong to you either." Fluttershy said in a hushed voice.

Sunset slammed her hand onto a locker and shouted "Excuse me?!"

"Nothing…" Fluttershy just said, allowing Sunset to proceed further in her teasing.

"That's what I thought. It's as good as mine and you know it. You really are that pathetic. It's no wonder all of your best friends are stray animals." Sunset said, sounding very teasing to her.

Twilight had enough of this and both she and Smarty stepped into action. "How dare you speak to her that way!" Twilight shouted.

The enraged Sunset turned around with quite a challenged look and said "What… did you say?"

Both Twilight and Sunset began to walk up to each other and Twilight said "I said… How dare you speak to her that way." Smarty was cheering, glad to be on the good side of Twilight. Sunset kept her glare for a moment and then gave a sort of evil smile when she finally knew who it really was.

"Oh you must be new here!" Sunset said, flicking Twilight's face upward in humiliation. Sunset then walked past her and said "I can speak to anyone any way I want." And before she left, she shot a look to Smarty that told him to follow her and come with her. She gave the rest of the frightened students some dirty looks to scare them and then got out of their sight. Smarty just shook his head and decided not to follow the thief.

"I can't believe you did that!" Fluttershy said in a surprised but quiet voice, resembling the friend they knew back home in Equestria.

"Well I couldn't just stand there." Twilight said, with the means of defending even the person that looks like Fluttershy.

Fluttershy approached her and says "But… it's just that, no one ever stands up to Sunset Shimmer and no one has before either."

Twilight began to realize that was the thief who stole her crown and she got away without even confronting her in full. She finally turned her head back towards Fluttershy and said "Did she mention anything about a crown?"

"Why yes, I ended up finding outside when I was trying to hand fliers for the Homeless Pet Shelter. It came right out of nowhere and I decided to give it to Principal Celestia and she took it to safe-keeping." Fluttershy said, then getting curious. "Why's that?"

Twilight turned her head to Smarty. He was giving a face that could tell to lie about it and not say why she should tell Fluttershy that she's from another world, she'd think Twilight was crazy. "Never mind." Twilight says. "I'm just wondering w-"

Fluttershy happily gasped when she saw Spike come into appearance from behind Twilight's legs. "You have a dog?! He's sooooo cute!" Fluttershy says, bending down on one knee and giving Spike a few gentle pats on the head. After patting his head, Fluttershy gets up and looks at Twilight. "You were saying?"

"She's wondering where she can find Principal Celestia." Smarty spoke out to rephrase what Twilight had forgotten to ask again.

"You can find her just a few hallways down, near the entrance to the building." Fluttershy says, pointing out her index finger pointing at the hallways that direct them, to the principal's office.

"By the way, what's your name?" Twilight asked. If she said Fluttershy's name in this world, Celestia knows what might happen. The universe would probably implode!

"I'm… Fluttershy." She says quietly and shyly.

"Did you say your name was Fluttershy?" Twilight asks again. Fluttershy softly nods her head up and down.

The school bell begins to ring at a medium volume and Fluttershy looks quite alarmed. "Oh goodness, I need to get to class. I'll get your names later!" She says, and runs off to head to her next class.

Twilight looked at Smarty and Spike, saying "Come on you two, the sooner we meet Principal Celestia, the sooner we can get my crown back and get out of this world."

Smarty nods in agreement and proceeds to follow Twilight from behind. For one thing, it was lucky that he didn't get his element stolen by Sunset. But who knows what might be happening in Equestria right now. Black Darkness maybe escaped his eternal prison and was already having his revenge? All chaos going loose in Equestria? He hopes that's not what was happening there at the moment.

"Psst!"

Smarty stopped following Twilight and Spike, turning his head towardsa locker which was appearing to try and get his attention. He examined closer at the green and peaceful locker. The locker door opens and a light amber hand inside grabs him by the collar and pulls him into the locker, knocking Smarty out cold.

The locker door closes quietly, as if nothing ever happened in that hallway.
