(Coast of Stars)

200 ironclad warships and troop transports were sitting off the coast of Moon and Star as 30 landing craft headed for different targets during the night, their mission was to destroy the coastal batteries that were defending the house from a sea invasion and opening a door for the Imperium to start their next step of the liberation of Equestria.

Captain Solar of the 4th Lunar Marine Division led his squad to take out sun batteries in Star Harbor so the ships could get in range and bombard the coast opening it for the infantry.

"Alright stallions and mares listen up once we hit the shore we move in destroy the batteries and get out, the 567th Strike Marines have cleared the sky above us so Cloudy, Blaze I want you two as our look outs. The rest of you with me and move with a purpose." Solar stated as the nodded.

The captain and his marines hit the beach as the two pegasus shot into the sky in their black armor so they could blend in better with the night sky. The group of 20 made their way up the beach and towards the fort as the avoided patrols and took out any guards that were in their way hiding the bodies as they went.

As the fort came into view he signaled his marines to stop and lay down as he crawled up to them in the tall grass.

"Ok guys when we get to the wall I want you hook and watch for our look outs, they're gonna direct you to your targets." He said as the crawled up to the wall taking out their grappling hooks and throwing them before climbing up the wall taking out the three guards as they came over.

"Ok Able head north and follow Overwatch's directions, move out." He whispered as they headed out listening to cloudy tell them which way to go.

[Ok captain hang a left through the guard shack and go north. STOP! Guard to your 3 o clock will be on you in three seconds.]

Solar waited just as the the guard came into view and stepped out of cover pulling his dagger and shoving it into his head while pulling the body behind the cover.

[Your all clear captain move up, charlie team is headed to the batteries now, delta break off of able and head down the wall, able continue forward and take out the three guards near the cannons]

The group made their way through the guard house avoiding the sleeping stallions as one of delta smiled and set a charge inside and moved on before splitting off from able and heading down the wall towards the other sun cannons.

[Ok captain move your group left by the boxes, there is a patrol headed your way. Delta keep going your clear till you get to the cannons. Able your clear move up and take out the three at the north batteries, delta hold up got a couple of guards headed your way take them out or let them pass your choice.] Blaze watched as delta took out the guard and hid the bodies before heading up to the western batteries taking those guards out to and dumping them over the wall before feeling a tap from cloudy as he nodded.

[All teams are set ready to RTB captain.]

Solar smiled and finished placing his charge and meeting back up with delta.

[Ok everypony lets go back the way we came and back to the ships after we blow this place] He whispered and met back up with bravo and charlie.

[All teams be advised we have inbound HVT, Princess Cadence's personal escort and body guard have been spotted coming up the road.] Cloudy stated.

"Sir your orders?"

"We have what we came for anything else will blow our cover, but if one of you can make sure the princess has a 'accident' then I'm sure my brother would reward you." Solar stated as the other thought for a minute.

"We can wait till dawn when the charges blow and she is out of the fort to take her down sir." A unicorn suggested as Solar nodded.

"Sounds good lets get off this wall and back to the field." He stated as they all made it back down the wall and away from the fort.

[Lets go Overwatch, move.]

The two pegasus moved the cloud away from the others before flying down rejoining the unit.

(7 hours later)

Solar and the other waited by the road for the princess as dawn started to light up the sky and the roadway when massive explostions went off, the unit smiled as they saw the carriage racing down the road just when they got into the killzone of their ambush site. Solar's horn glowed for a second triggering the buried charge under the road tipping the carriage over and killing 4 of the the princesses guards.

Just as the carriage hit the ground the marines and pegasus quickly charged in and finished the guard off and taking the slave guards setting them free as they thanked them over and over.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" A mare named BonBon said as her friends gathered around her.

"Really ma'am it's fine." Solar stated before he was pulled into a deep kiss from the mare as she pulled back with a pop.

"THANK YOU!" She said tears still streaming from her eyes while he blushed and headed to the carriage before turning serious.

"Marines secure that cart check and see if she's dead, if not then we'll take her with us." He ordered as the others swarmed the cart while 5 led the former slaves to the boats.

"Sir she's alive!" Solar heard making him smile.

"Good bring her with us, I have some questions for her." He stated as the marines pulled the princess' body out of the cart and took her to the boats with them just as the first sounds of naval gunfire could be heard.

(Everfree forest at that moment)

"2nd divison move forward!"

"STRIKE FROM THE SKIES SISTERS! LEAVE NONE ALIVE!"

Imperial command did not expect the Everfree warriors to put up such a fight as the army pushed forward taking down packs of animals and forest warriors but they were paying for it with each mile they took of forest their soldiers paid for it.

General Quickshot sighed walking behind his lines as more and more of his troops were being pulled back due to wounds or death. He growled as another pack of timber wolves attacked his troops.

"DIVISION! HALT! General bring fire on them since they want to fight like savages lets return the favor." He stated as a squad of Lunar soldiers made their way forward with taks on their backs.

"Ok Firestorms, lets burn them out of hiding. pull the division back so these stallions can get to work, pass the word on to the other generals in this sector to burn the forest down. I didn't want to do it but they forced my hoof, sargent if you would please." He said as the pony nodded.

"Ok girls you heard the stallion burn it all down!" Sargent Firebringer orders as they walked forward shooting out flames as they went setting the forest ablaze all the while animals tried to charge them along with wild ponies only to burned alive screaming in pain while the mares moved forward.

"Lt. Rumble move your platoon forward and give those mares some cover, I'm sure they would like the extra help watching their backs." General Stormbreaker stated getting a salute from him.

"Yes ma'am! MOVE UP cover the firestorms, swords out and ready!" He ordered trotting down the blazing path just as another zebra met his horrible fate.

"It truely is a shame that this all had to turn to ash and firewood, but it will grow back in the years to come." General Quickshot stated as Stormbreaker nodded while Silverspoon just looked on at the distruction.

'I'm so glad that these ponies are on our side' She thought as pegasus rangers cut down a bear and manticore.

Along the western front the commanders were pushing their way through the forest when the order came down.

"Thank you private go on back to your unit and tell them that scorched earth policy has been approved, burn everything to the ground." He stated as a company of firestorms walked forward.

"Ok ladies time to get to work and earn your keep, everything must go." General Redcoat stated as they nodded.

"Come on ladies lets move!" The captain ordered while the company spread out spewing fire into the treeline, they watched as the forest became a hell storm as it fully took the treeline.

"MOVE IN AND CONTINUE THE ADVANCE! MOVE LADS MOVE!"

As the forest burned 150,000 soldiers marched forward with gas masks as zebra,pony and critter stumbled along only to get a bayonet for their troubles.

"KEEP MOVING TROOPS!"

(Moon and Star coast)

"MOVE MOVE MOVE! LETS GO! LETS GO! UP THE LADS, UP THE HILL!"

The landings on the three coastal towns were underway as 100,000 Imperial troops landed on the beaches while marksmages and leagionnairs fired at them along with slave soldiers charging them.

"MAKE READY!"

"MAKE READY!

"FIRE! FIRE AT WILL"

The crack of musket fire ripped through the air just as another wave of troops came in.

"SIR WE HAVE TEMPLARS HERE MOVING THROUGH THE LINES TO THE FRONT!"

"FOR THE IMPERIUM! CHARGE!" The battle cry was heard as they surged forward while the unicorn templars rushed ahead cutting down all in the name of Luna.

They could hear the whoosh of the firestorms moving in clearing out buildings while the regular army moved in clearing out civilians and moving them to the beach.

On a hill Eclipse and a younger stallion watched the carnage unfold in the city as he sighed while a battalion of leagionnairs moved to push the imperials back with a division of slave soldiers but when the charge was ordered they charged their own lines just when the templar and line infantry charged them as well.

"Come Darksteel this battle is lost, rally your troops we're moving out to the slave domes in Canterlot." He stated leading his division along with Darksteels away from the battle just as a cheer from the imperials rang out.

(Saint Trottersburg)

"Hiya!"

Crunch!

"Lets go keep moving!"

"Come back we want to play HAHAHAHAHA!"

Darkstar, Fleetfoot, Cream, and Drago rushed down the body littered streets of the cult city as corpses started to get up laughing as they shambled after them while smiling dolls gave chase.

"Fleet move ahead and find a place to bunker down! I'm gonna buy you some time!" He yelled as she stalled for a second before nodding and taking off with the other two.

"We're just gonna leave him!?"

"I'm sure that Darkstar knows what he's doing my boy." Cream stated running after the mare while hanging a right down a ally way just when a horde of laughing dead rounded the corner.

"Skull if you would please?" Fleet said getting nod from the stallion as he stepped forward gathering dark magic before opening his eyes showing black with green wisps coming off of them while firing his spell bathing the area in a omoninus green and black cloud while the dead dropped on the spot.

"Lets go." Fleet said as a bright flash when off behind them when a shockwave hit them knocking them off their hooves.

"Lets move guys and see if we can find a place to bunker down." Fleetfoot stated rushing ahead with the boys in tow while coming face to face with a alicorn mockery.

"Sweet Celestia!"

"MOVE!"

Drago and Fleetfoot took flight as Fleetfoot sliced the side of its neck open while Drago took out his sword hacking off a wing as Skull hit it with black ball of dark magic blowing a chunk of its side off as it tried to gore the three as the four heads waved around and tried to stomp on Skull as he summoned his scythe lopping off one if its hooves as he ran under the demon.

"SKULL LOOK OUT!"

The stallion jumped left avoiding having a chunck of his back chomped off from a laughing dead that was then crushed under another stomp from the demon before its body was pulled into the demon healing its leg.

"SHIT! If this thing is able to regenerate like that there's no way we can beat it!" Drago yelled taking off another wing as the demon roared in pain as it smacked him into a building just as Skull took said head off.

"Fleet keep the dead away while I take this thing down." He growled as his scythe glowed with dark power as the stallion charged the beast jumping in the air slicing another head off before stabbing it in the chest and pumped his magic into it making it scream before he sliced it open taking the soul with it as he absorbed it making him pulse with power.

"Hmmm the soul of a demon is all the more potent just as I expected." He stated as Fleetfoot impaled another laughting dead into the ground before lopping the head off.

"Lets move I don't want to run into anymore of these things." She stated just as Drago landed beside them bleeding and holding one of his legs to his chest.

"Yeah that would be great I think I broke my leg." He stated as Cream came over and sighed.

"Its fine just a sprain quit being such a baby." He stated as Drago growled.

"Shut up, lets move out and try to find some place safe for now." Fleet ordered as they nodded following the mare through the streets littered with bodies most skeletal with some hanging from the street lamps while giggling at them.

"I fucking hate this place." Drago said as a explostion went off behind them and a mob of converted villagers ran through before they spotted them.

"SHIT RUN!" Drago yelled as they heard them laughing giving chase.

(With Darkstar)

Darkstar walked though the city letting his wounds heal after his battle with the mob of villagers and zombies before teleporting out of the hot zone before he was swarmed.

"Where are you Pinkie?" He asked himself as he limped along unaware of the pegasus following him in the skys.

Dark sighed as he made his way through a alley way and spotted the coast making him grin at the sight of the island before tapping his ear.

"Hey Fleets get out of the city I'll be going solo on this one." He said into his radio.

[WHAT!? The hell you are Darkstar!We're a team Dark and I want to be there to help you!] She said back making him sigh.

"This is something I need to do on my own Fleet, please I promise I will be back soon. Link up with griffon and Stormwing forces outside the city. Whatever happens the Laughing Mare can NOT be allowed into our world." He stated while he waited for her to say something.

[I'm so pissed right now at you Dark but fine! You better come back or I'm gonna have Cream bring you back so I can kill you myself!] She screamed making him wince but smile.

"Hey you remember what I promised once we got home right?" He asked hearing her sigh.

[No more wars, and we would stay in the palace watching our kids grow up and we grow old together in peace] She replied.

[Just please be careful Darkstar, we're all waiting on you.]

''I will Fleet, see you back at Stormwing." He stated as he found a boat just when he heard something land behind him making him turn to see Derpy smiling at him.

"Sorry Dark but I can't let you get any further." She chirped as he sighed.

"Derpy please you don't want to do this."

"Oh but I can't go against the Laughing Mare, she's our leader and is gonna bring smiles and laughter back like it was before."

"Derpy, I don't want to hurt you. I just want to get my wife and go home." He stated as she cocked her head to the side.

"Oh if that's true then why are there Imperial soldiers here in Equestria?" She asked as he sighed.

"Because as is Equestria is to much of a loose end that needs to be tied up for the betterment of the rest of the world, it is only a matter of time before one of the houses got ballsy and attacked one of my allies. Plus the Alliance voted to bringing a end to the violence here with force if needed, as you can see after my visits to the other houses how that plan of peace turned out." He stated.

" We don't need you for what we are going to be doing anyway Darkstar, now go back home." She stated as he shook his head.

"I can't and won't do that till Equestria is at peace and I have Pinkie back home where she belongs." Dark said watching her extend her wings while he gathered his magic.

"That your final answer Darkstar?" She asked taking off her mail bag setting it near the ground.

"Yes."

FWOOOSH! CLANG!

Darkstar grunted as he held Derpy back who was pushing against him with a short sword before the two jumped back before they charged each other in a flurry of wings and sparks of magic.

"Quick Shoes tought you well Derpy." He commented as he blocked a wing blade and her sword as she kicked him in the chest making him skid back before ducking as she shot over him trying to take his head off but he grabbed her tail and pulled slamming her into the ground hard making her cry out.

"AHH!" She rolled out of the way just when his warhammer slammed into the spot where her head was breaking the stone road and cut him along the side with her wing blade just as he bucked her into the side of a building.

She grunted and jumped away just at the wall she was eat exploded from a bolt of magic slammed into it blowing the whole right side of the building away. When she looked back she was on the end of a sucker punch from Dark slamming her into the wall, but when she hit she dropped as the warhammer smashed into the wall as she uppercutted him making him stumble back as Derpy rain down kicks and punches on the stallion knocking him back.

"You're slower than you used to be Darkstar." Derpy stated as he got up wipping the blood from his lips and smiled letting out a chuckle.

"Yeah I guess your right but meh, what can you expect I can't train like I used to back in th day." He said as he flashed away and appeared above her using his momentum from falling he grabbed her head and slammed it into the ground hearing the muffled scream from the mare as he rolled up to his feet and bucked her into the side of a old food cart smashing through it and skidding along the ground before righting herself and shot back at Dark with rage in her eyes.

"THAT HURT!" She screamed slamming a hoof into his face knocking him off his hooves while grabbing his head and pushed it into the ground hearing him cry in pain before she let go leave a good hundred yard trench. She watched as Dark sat up and took off his gear, he a look of rage matching hers.

"Your gonna pay for that bitch." He growled as she smirked.

"Hurt didn't it?" She sneered as he smiled.

"Yeah it did now let me show you true pain." He stated flashing behind her as she bucked out to him but he flashed away again and brought his hammer into her side making her scream in agony as she slammed through a wall when a sickening crack was heard and she let out another scream.

"MY WING!" She yelled in pain as he flashed to her and bucked her into the back wall making her face plant into it knocking a few teeth out. She cried out and looked back at him with blood and tears going down her face while glaring at him and tried to get up, but a quick smack of magic to her front and rear legs she dropped again.

"I won't...(huff, huff, pant) let you take Pinkie." She said her eyes fluttering barely able to look up at him and spit on his hooves.

"I don't think your in a postion to threaten me Derpy, give up and let me pass. As far as you know the Laughing Mare is controling you, the Derpy I knew would never fight her friends let alone all the other things you've done... Derpy I found Dinky." He stated as she looked at him with wide eyes.

"She's a slave to Stormwing and works their mobile farms. While she's going to be taken care of once this war is over she misses you Derpy, I didn't tell her that you were with the cult when she asked me about you. I just told her that I haven't seen you, I don't think your daughter could live if she knew what you were doing here." He stated as she glared.

"YOU LIE!" She screamed trying to jump at him but her legs gave out and fell on her broken wing making her scream in pain.

"Why would I lie to you Derpy? I've already won this battle what point would I have in telling you this?" He asked as she layed there looking at the roof.

"She's alive?" She asked making him smile.

"Yes, she works the Cloudsdale mobile farms. I can have some friends come and get you and treat your injuries and you can see your daughter again, would you like that Derpy?" He asked as the mare sank back down with a small smile on her face.

"How can I face my little girl after so long and all the things I've done for a demon? What will she think of me when she finds out what I've done?" She said as she felt Darkstar sit her up and began to take off her wing blades and the stupid clown outfit she was in being careful with her wing.

"I don't think your daughter will care at this point Derpy, all she wants is her mother back safe and sound." Dark stated as he used his magic to numb her wing before setting it back in place hearing her hiss in pain still.

"Why not still kill me Darkstar? I helped steal Pinkie from the imperium and tried to start up the cult there as well, why spare me?" She asked as he sighed.

"I think everpony deserves a second chance Derpy, I think you followed the demon because it played at your emotions after the loss of your daughter. Am I right?" He asked as she looked away and sniffed.

"She said if I served her she would bring her back to me just like she was before the flood, she said that she was dead." Derpy stated as tears came to her eyes and Dark put a comforting hoof on her shoulder.

"We all make mistakes Derpy, come on lets get you out of here." He stated setting the mare on his back and trotting out of the destroyed building as he called for Drago and Fleetfoot to come pick up Derpy, it would take a few minutes but he was fine with that as the mare passed out on his back and snuggled into him.

"Mmm."

He smiled after a while as Fleetfoot and Drago came into few in the sky. Fleet fussed over him while Drago grumbled about having to haul around Derpy.

"Take care Fleet and look out for her will you? She's a old friend and she's been through a lot." He stated as she pulled him into a kiss.

"Got it Dark, be safe and hurry back to me ok? I want to see the imperium with you and I expect a grand tour." She smiled as tears started to come to her eyes.

"Hey hey it's ok Fleet I'll be ok and will be with you before you know it." He stated kissing her head.

"CAN WE PLEASE GO NOW!? SHE'S NOT EXACTLY LIGHT YOU KNOW!" Drago called out as the two sighed.

"Pinkie promies me that you'll be ok." She demanded as he smiled.

"Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." He stated going through the motions making her smile.

"I'll see you later Darkstar." She said and took to the sky with Drago, he watched them for a minute before his eyes fell on Derpy's mail bag and went over to it sorting through the mail before smiling at a letter adressed to the laughing mare at the island he was looking at.

"I'm almost there Pinkie." He stated taking the letters and putting them in his saddlebags and put the gear on before heading to one of the boats to make his way to Sea Breeze a few miles away from here off its coast.

"I'm almost there."
