Warning Missile launch Detected! Nod has launched the ICBM's GDI forces have failed!

"Damn," said a technician as he overheard the message. I guess we gotta put ya in cryo anyway.

"Ah well I didn't have much to do anyway." I said as I climbed into the tube.

"We will open you up when we can prevent this from screwing with your elemental powers. You're the greatest asset the GDI has." An explosion causes debris to fall from the roof just a bit.

"See ya in a few years Dennis, I hope."

"ya bye," said Dennis.

I laid back in the tube and closed my eyes as Dennis sealed the top of the case. The cryo tube could self-sustain itself and its passenger for Decades since it only recycled oxy in my blood and kept me in a deep sleep that puts hibernation to shame. This would be years for him before he would see me again if even that but for me it would only feel like a minute has passed.

(Thousands of years later in the crystal mines below Canterlot)

"Hey Thunderclap look at what I found here," said a young tan furred pony mining at the crystal.

A sky blue unicorn came trotting over to look at this. When he got there a side of what appeared to be a grey rectangle was extended out from the crystal covered in green glowing runes of an unknown language. "Cool man what is that, alien stuff?"

"Yeah I think so man," said the tan pony that stood there and scratched his chin for a minute. "Hey," he said suddenly, "Celestia should see this, maybe I'll get a reward for finding this alien thingamajig. "

"Ya I'll get it out the rest of the way while you get the sectional manager over here to get it to Celestia."

"Alright, sounds like a plan" said the tan pony as he ran off."

(within Canterlot castle)

The regal sisters had their hooves full today with meeting after meeting to get this ordeal about how to deal with the recent attack from the changelings. Just after their third meeting today this time with Germanegh.

As they left the meeting room Luna sighed, "Tia how many more do we have to do I'm exhausted.

"Two more Luna, two more," Said Celestia while nuzzling Luna. A Royal Guard pony came rushing down the hall yelling to Celestia and Luna about something of great importance.

"Can it wait?" Moaned Luna

"Not if you feel like waiting to see an uncovered alien artifact that is still active and in working condition," Said the Guard pony.

"Sorry Luna but I need to see this," Said Celestia with new vigor by this information, "I need to see this as none that we have ever found could still function." And with that Celestia took off following her guard pony to this artifact that was moved out of the mine and to an empty room within the castle.

When Celestia got there she saw a grey rectangle Covered in Green runes of what appeared to be a new language. On the far side there was a glass case with a red button within it. Surrounding the room were 8-12 royal guards.

She approached the Grey Rectangle and inspected it more closely. What Celestia had discovered is that this thing is made up of metal and has multiple crevasses going all around the box so she figured the thing unfolds. She then went over to the glass compartment and looked inside and what she saw startled her. Right there was a word she knew and was a part of equestrian language: open. She was shocked. How do these aliens know their language, or was this a joke to just get famous. She decided to hit the red button when she hit it she said, "Please stand back everypony I don't know how big this will get. "Then it unfolded.

What was inside was a cylinder with several cubes next to it with cords attaching them together. Alongside the cylinder was a monitor and keyboard. The Box unfolded so fast that it made every pony in the room jump back.

"What is that thing," asked a guard eying it carefully as to expect something to come crawling out.

All Celestia could say was, "I don't know." She couldn't find more about it since some light in a box kept flashing an unknown term at her 'low power' so she had metal smiths decorate it so it would look inconspicuous and hide it in the palace labyrinth where she could observe it every day. That way it wouldn't be locked away or in a museum where she will be swamped every time she tries to go check up on it.

(unknown location within the Canterlot Labyrinth)

1000 years later (after the night mare moon disaster, banishment to moon, and re-integration of Luna into the royal palace) Same night of season 1 Episode 07: Dragonshy.

ELICTRIC CURRENTS DETECTED IN ATMOSPHERE. SCANNING! MINIMUM CURRENT REQUIRED DETECTED. EXTENDING ION ROD. ION ROD EXTENDED. STANDBY UNTIL ION CHARE AQUIRED.

Several minutes later. A spark in the clouds and a soft rumble roll cross the sky. The sparks nearest to the ion rod begin to accumulate. For a moment lightning strikes the ion rod fully recharging the cryo cell.

CHARGE RECEIVED. SCANNING SYSTEMS. SYSTEM INTEGRITY AT 87%. SYSTEM POWER AT 99.998%. SYSTEMS FUNCTIONING AT 92.472% EFFICENCY. 100% OF SYSTEMS ARE FUNCTIONAL. SCANNING SURROUNDING AREA FOR GDI OR NOD SIGNALS. WARNING NOD UNITS DETECTED (other 'broken' alien artifacts discovered)! DEFROSTING CURENT OCCUPANT! WELCOME JAMES.

This is my first fanfic done; EVER so helping me out with mistakes or areas I could clear up in would be nice.

I will be trying to beef up my chapters after the initial posting to add more detail because I'm not always very good at making nice long chapters but hey first chapter: 1k words YAY XD

Quick Review of chapter 1: The war between Nod and GDI had ended and the victors were chosen, nobody. The world changing missiles launched by Nod force have completely wiped out the human race exposed to the terbium. Only a small handful are still alive but are completely kept as unknown. Now hundreds of thousands of years later A cryo tube had been discovered completely unknown to Celestia of its function it was placed in the palace gardens as decor until one night it opened due to a charge from the sky via lightning bolt now our story continues.

Chapter 2: Awakening

WARNING NOD UNITS DETECTED! DEFROSTING CURENT OCCUPANT! WELCOME JAMES. The cryo cell began to slowly warm defrosting its occupant, the panel on top splits in half and slides to the sides. The occupant was a single human 5 ½ feet tall wearing GDI light infantry armor. Then the occupant slides out of the tube and slides into the mud at the base of the tube. Slowly he picks himself up and leans on the construct while imputing commands into the cryo cell's console.

COMMAND ACCEPTED. PASSWORD REQUIRED: *****. Restoration. PASSWORD ACCEPTED, OPENING GUN COMPARTMENT. One of the cubes attached to the cryo cell opens up. Thunder cracks overhead and gives a glimpse of what gear he as in the cube: a Light Assault Rifle, standard issue and along with it a MMCK (Mobile Matter Converter Kit), and 3 days rations.

The console dings and James looks back at it. MORE COMMANDS? Yes. PLEAS INPUT NEW COMMAND. Eject mobile AI Card. PASSWORD OR FINGER PRINT SCAN REQUIRED. James places his hand on a scanner and the console dings again. SCAN ACCEPTED. EJECTING AI NOW. a small card slides out next to the console. More thunder cracks overhead and the rain worsens. James Takes the card and inserts it into a slot on his wrist communicator. He then flicks a series of switches along the panel and types in the command Self Destruct Alpha. SEQUENCE ALL SOFTWARE IN 30 SECONDS. ESTEMATED SYSTEM FUNCTIONING AT 2% EFFICENCY AFTER SOFTWARE IS TERMINATED.

With that James stands up and limps away (due to extended cryo containment). James had decided to pick a direction and stick with it while constantly pushing through hedging after hedging and sealing it behind him. He doesn't want to make an easy to follow path for the nod baddies to follow him with and he doesn't want them to know he is one of the four legendary elementals (the other 3 will be introduced later on).

When James nears the edge of the Labyrinth he finds something rather peculiar, wood and hay housing. That hasn't been used since the renaissance in the 1600's not in the 22nd century. He continued to go until he hit the street. The street itself was cobble and there was also no sight of electricity anywhere. He was shocked. Then he laughed at himself and said, "god I'm not in the 16th century, time travel is impossible." He took a look down both sides of the street. He saw nobody so he crept up to a house seeing there was no lights on he opened the door and crawled in. the door was too small for him! He was a head taller than the door! "Jesus these people are small" he whispered to himself as he went in careful as to close the door. James turned on his headlamp so he won't wake any occupants of the house. All he needed to do was wash up and 'borrow' a snack. James crept through the house and found the kitchen. He went over to raid the fridge when he heard a voice behind him.

"MOM, DAD, A MONSTER IS IN THE HOUSE!"

He quickly turned around to tell the kid that he isn't a monster when what he sees startles him. A colorful pony, yellow body, blue hair, and as small as a medium dog. "where is the kid," James said quisitively while looking for a human child but found none.

"GAH DAD IT CAN TALK," screamed the horse. James took a step back. The pony, could talk! Just then another pony about four feet tall came running down the stairs with a spear levitating next to it (a royal guards pony without armor). When he started to stab me with the spear James decided not to fight the new locals but jump out of the window and rum as fighting would be bad for him because that would allow more ponies to arrive and stall him.

He quickly ran down the alley behind houses hearing the shouts of his pursuers behind him. He had to get out fast before they could wear him down. He found a suitable house and quickly climbed it. From there he climbed up onto a taller roof to avoid prying eyes. He sat there for a bit to take in what he just saw. Talking ponies! He must be having hallucinations. Ponies don't talk. But these ones did. Then he realized. He must have been out for a really long time.

" there it is," said a flying pony from above. Wait a flying pony! This startled him and he fell through the roof of the house. The hay roof was never meant to be wet and hold a lot of weight at the same time. He hit the wood floor with a thump. He was trapped now. he took off down the stairs and to the basement. He heard voices from upstairs. He quickly used his elemental powers as a last ditch effort and began tunneling through the basement wall being sure to seal it behind him again.

He tunneled like this for nearly 10 minutes going from basement to basement when he soon busted out the side of a cliff. He stood there and waited. Seeing that no Pegasus had spotted him and none of the ponies had heard him over the rain and thunder he decided to hide there for the night and partly seal his hole so the ponies couldn't spot him during the night.

Next morning he awoke to the sound of voices coming from all around him. He opened his eyes and found himself in a prison cell within the dungeons but this cell wasn't cold and hard like normal cells but instead it looked like a single room cabin. The only differences were that a wall was covered in bars and the floor was stone. He felt a draft. You're not supposed to feel drafts with armor on he thought. Then he realized it. He had no armor. And someone was coming down the hall. James had a plan.
