Hey everyone and pony. This is a new story I made based off of my thoughts (IMAGINE THAT!) So do all that favorite and follow stuff and review your opinion. HUGS AND KISSES

So now I'm heading to Ponyville in a team wagon. My name is Galaph and I'm a unicorn. I have a short mane and tail that's blue and black and my eyes are green. I have two big talents. I'm really good at hoofball (basically the pony version of football except ponies have no pads and different rules (will explain later)) and I play guitar. My cutie mark is a star and I really don't know why. I got it when I pulled off a near impossible guitar solo during prom. Incidentally after I pulled off a miracle play to win the hoofball game before the prom. I guess it means I'm a star? Or that I can really just shine?

I had no date during that prom. Why? Well even though I am a star and all and had mares asking me all the time, I'm shy about mares. Just the talking to them and being with them which is pretty much all of it. I had my chance too and I blew it. Which to this day I still wonder how I managed to do that. I still got mares asking me to date them or party with them now that I play professionally but I turn them down gently.

I used to be in a band but they kicked me out because they whined about me getting all the attention. It's not like I can make myself terrible at playing guitar. I play quarterback in hoofball. I remember being told when I started, I'd be good by my coach. When I finished school he found me and told me I'd been better than he imagined. I can't say I'm the best but I'm pretty good.

The reason I'm heading to Ponyville is because my team is moving its place here for financial reasons. Our team manager put too much money in for a game we played to get into the playoffs and we lost by two points. We were in Los Pegasus. We are the Ponyneers. Purple is our primary color while red is our secondary. Our team consists of 20 earth ponies, 21 pegasi, and 12 unicorns including me.

Why there are certain amounts is because of playability. Earth ponies play at offensive or defensive lineponies, running backs, and buckers because of their limited specialty with no horn or wings. Pegasi can play at any position but they are limited on how high they can fly in a game. Unicorns can play at any backer position or receiver. A roster is only allowed to have 54 during the season. We went through a draft and cut the ponies not fit to play or not good enough. Now we have only one spot open where we can sign a pony to play.

The manager told us that there'd be a stadium waiting for us there at Ponyville. I heard Ponyville was a small friendly town which sounds good to me. I never liked being in the big city. There was lots to do sure but no pony was really too friendly. Hopefully it'll be better here. There's a hotel we get to stay at built for us. Eight stories tall from what I heard. I also heard the townsponies built it for us. Good hospitality.

I knew most of the ponies on the team real well. Most are my friends while a couple I never talked to. I trained the rookies that had just came here and became friends with them. My best friend there though was a pegasus who was the main wide receiver. He is green with a white mane and blue eyes. He's probably a year or two away from retirement but he has a lot of fight. He helped me become better at playing and me and him became best friends. We all call him "Freddy" because none of us knows his real name.

I remember he told me that before he retires he wants to win one world championship. He knows it's a big thing to ask for but he's worked for it harder than any other pony I know. Hours after sitting and talking in the wagons we finally arrived. The wagons touched down on the patched ground or grass and dirt. I could feel the fresh air brush against my mane and coat. It gave a feel of relaxation. The sky was a clear blue with no clouds. It was relieving to step out of the wagon so I could strentch after being cramped.

I levitated my bag with my uniform for practices and games on top of me and followed the other players to the hotel. Most of these ponies live somewhere else but are here for the practices. We're only a month and a half away from the preseason so we have to practice constantly. Entering the hotels, you could see bright elegant decorations and workers pushing carts onto and out of elevators. I'm surprised they have elevators! Most places don't.

We all got in single file line to get our keys to our rooms. It seemed to take forever but eventually we got there. We were greeted by an energetic pink earth pony.

"Oh hiya there here's your key and I can't wait to meet you and introduce you to my friends have a good day!" Said the pink pony. She seemed nice, a bit too energetic too as she wouldn't quit jumping up and down with her poofy mane.

Today the coach told us to just unpack and decide who we're rooming with. Of course, Freddy and I roomed together. All of the rooms have enough room for three but no pony else roomed with us. The rooms were very nice. The beds were in one room as everything else. The beds were decently sized and there were two bathrooms. The walls were decorated with patterns of elegant colors. There was one dresser with a big mirror on it. The whole room itself was amazing as with the rest of the hotel.

"A bit too fancy for my liking. How bout you?" Said Freddy.

"I appreciate they put a lot of work into it but yeah it's a bit too fancy for a hoofball team." I said. It was the truth but it was nice of the makers to be so generous. When we had everything unpacked, we realized it was lunch and how hungry we were. We went down the elevators to the bottom floor. It felt all fancy to push the button in the elevator and see it light up and take us to the floor we wanted. I could see it bother Freddy a little. He gritted his teeth when he saw it light up. I thought it was funny. We reached the bottom floor and went to the front door when we heard the same pink pony.

"Hey it's you two again. Are you hungry and going out to eat somewhere?" She asked jumping over to us.

"Um yeah how'd you know?" Freddy asked.

"Just a hunch...and it's lunch time. But you should go to Sugar Cube Corner. We have cupcakes of all sorts. Fat free veggie cupcakes for you players!" She said. Sounds good to me.

"Okay ma'am thanks." I said as we left. The pink pony went back to the hotel desk.

"She is over hyper with her jumping all over the place!" Said Freddy shaking his head.

"Yeah and it's kinda funny." I said chuckling a bit. We just kept small talking until we reached the place called Sugar Cube Corner. We entered the pink building and saw some of the other players at the tables. We approached the counter and no pony was there. All of a sudden though the same pink pony popped up from under the counter.

"Jeez you nearly gave me a heart attack!" Said Freddy. The pink pony gave us a tray of the veggie cupcakes.

"Oh sorry gramps, well here's your cupcakes!" She said enthusiastically handing us a pink ribbon box. Freddy didn't look too happy.

"Did you call me...Old?" He asked.

"Yep well you just look like it but that's okay I like everypony and I think it's cool you play for such a good team." She said fast. Freddy looked at her angrily and then just shrugged it off. We saw an open table nearby and sat down in it after placing the cupcakes on the table. We each took a cupcake out of the pink ribbon box and took a bite. For them being made of vegetables, they were good.

"So you didn't look too happy there." I said.

"Yeah I was mad but I'll let it slide just because these cupcakes are good." He said a bit pout like. I looked back over and saw her bouncing and smiling just giving out more cupcakes. One thing passed through my mind. How did she get here from the hotel that fast?

We sat discussing how good our team is this year and how we might win a championship. Well he kept talking like that. I told him how we aren't as good as he says and we might get to the playoffs. Only time will tell though. A little before we got finished though, we were approached by a mare pegasus. She was cyan with a rainbow colored mane and red eyes.

"So, you two play for the Ponyneers?" She asked.

"Yeah. Why" I said.

"I wanna play for you guys." Said the mare. Freddy and I laughed. No mare has ever played in pro hoofball. "What's so funny?!"

"Well no mare has ever played." Said Freddy calming down.

"Well I want to try and there's no rule saying I can't. Besides this could help me get in the wonderbolts!" She said. We laughed even harder. "Hey I'm the fastest flyer in Ponyville!"

"Okay well if you're serious about this come to the field in three hours and we'll get our coach and manager and some of our fastest. We will have a race and if you have the determination and win, you can play for us. I'll make sure you can. Shake on it?" Said Freddy. A confident grin came across the rainbow pony's face as she shook Freddy's hoof. Freddy and I left heading to the field. She can't be serious can she?

Ch 2 HIIIZAAAAAAAA Enjoy

"Hey I'm just gonna grab our cleats." Said Freddy heading to the hotel. I just kept heading to the field. I was about halfway to where it was said to be when the rainbow pegasus flew down and started walking next to me.

"Hey you're the other pony from Sugar Cube Corner. What's up?" She asked.

"Uhh nothing. What's your name?" I asked.

"It's Rainbow Dash." She replied. Wow that figures.

"Huh Rainbow Dash."

"THE Rainbow Dash. What's your name?"

"Galaph." I said. I could hear her holding back some laughs. "What's so funny?"

"Your name...it's so stupid!" She said laughing. Oh well fuck you too.

"That's not nice." I said. That hurt my feelings a bit...okay it didn't but it still wasn't nice. She started talking about her dream to be a wonderbolt. I just agreed and shook my head not really caring. I started to see the stadium in the distance. It was huge! I hurried to get inside of it. As soon as I got in, I was amazed. Thousands of seats surrounding the field, two big press boxes facing each other across the field, and my favorite part the about 200 yards of turf in the middle.

I teleported down to the turf to feel it with my hoof. It's a great sensation to feel it with your hoof. But one thing ruined it. The sound of a rainbow pony saying "about time you got here". I turned to where I heard the voice and there she was. Lying on a bench on the sidelines. She got here before me...wow she must really be fast as she says.

I was a little upset about it. I have done speed training for years to be as fast as I am. And now I'm beat by some pony who probably has little training. I could tell my anger was showing. How? She giggled when she heard a frustrated sound coming from me. I would have freaked out with rage if Freddy hadn't shown up though. Apparently it was just him who was going to race. He brought the manager and coach for this so I knew it was serious.

I told Freddy I wasn't going to race. I know Freddy can beat me and Rainbow Dash could too so there's no point for me. He really didn't mind. He put on his cleats and they both lined up next to each other at the goal line. The race goes from one goal line to another then back. I saw Freddy with the same game face he always has. A small grin always comes across with his eye on the prize. He has a lot of heart in the game and shows it every time he plays or races. It's like it says "hey I'm ready to play no matter what".

He told me that he used to be real cocky when he was young. Then some old pony like him put him in his place and helped him out during a game. Then he did the same to me. But back to the race. The coach pulled out a bank shooter and raised it in the air. Both of the ponies tensed up as the coach got closer and closer to starting the race. Then. BOOM. Coach fired the blank and they flew off. Right here is the reason a pegasus can play any position.

They go so fast sometimes it doesn't matter where the hoofball is put they can make a catch. They were neck and neck as they passed the fifty yard line. Then as they reached the goal line it split off a bit. Rainbow Dash stayed airborne while turning around. Every pony knows that's not a good idea for a close course. Freddy went to the ground and used his cleats to spin himself with his momentum and bring himself airborne again heading towards the finish.

Freddy was in the lead but Rainbow Dash was catching up. But she was in no place to win. However Freddy slowed down and stumbled a bit. What happened?! Freddy crossed the goal line right after Rainbow Dash.

"Rainbow Dash wins!" I heard the manager say raising her hoof as he went to her side. I rushed to see if Freddy was fine and he was.

"Well a deal is a deal." The coach said. "Congratulations you're now a Ponyneer."

"Are you serious?" I asked them.

"Hey she won and it was part of the deal that we'd add her to the roster." Coach said. "Now I have a feeling she'll do good at a receiver position. So tomorrow Galaph she'll do reps with you instead of Freddy." The look on my face was filled with frustration. A mare playing hoofball who's apparently faster than Freddy! This won't be good. What's with Freddy losing though? He could have won!

Freddy and I left to go back to the hotel. He looked all happy and content. This made me angrier.

"Dude what happened back there?" I asked.

"Well you know I'll be retiring soon. And I figured we could use a new receiver that's fast. So I took a dive." He replied. I swear if there was a bomb fueled by my rage now, it would destroy the universe.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?! SHE PROBABLY DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING BUT THE RULES! SHE MIGHT BE FAST BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN SHE'S GOOD! IF SHE WAS GOOD SHE'D PROBABLY BE A WONDERBOLT BY NOW!" I yelled.

"Give her a chance Galaph. It might pay off." He said. I calmed down. Maybe I can.

The month and a half passed by like nothing for Galaph. Hard conditioning and training went by making the team better. Galaph made new friends. A pegasus named Speedy Gonzales, another pegasus named Silver Octave who got hired to play the team song, another pegasus named Mentis Infintas, and a unicorn named Black Lightning. Other friends he made were Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy. But not Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash became a starter at the wide receiver position. Galaph got even more annoyed by this. The preseason games went by and showed great skill from the rookies including Rainbow Dash. With all four preseason games won all teams now advance to the regular season.

"Okay everypony the game is going to start soon so get ready to play! Show them we intend to win on our turf! Now get out there!" Yelled coach. I could hear Silver Octave direct and play our team song. We all galloped out onto the field excitedly. The night sky was lit up with stars and the beautiful moon. The stadium was lit with the lights overhead. The cheers of the ponies roared throughout the stadium. Just the cheers of hundreds of fans always pumps us up. A great adrenaline rush flows through your veins powered by the cheers of loving fans. I could see all my friends sitting next to each other along with all of Ponyville. I could even see some fans back from Los Pegasus. No wonder the stadium is filled like this. We all reached the sidelines and put on our hoof braces and got ready to play. (There are no helmets or pads. Just a suit and braces.)

Then the other team rushed out to the sideline opposite of us. Their fans cheered them on as they reached the sideline and put their braces on. Our first game is usually against another division opponent. So we're facing the Dodge City 49ers. Probably one of the hardest teams out there. Even though our fans are cheering I can see a bit of doubt in them. It even looks like the team across from us is laughing at us.

"Freddy, Galaph, Safra, and Big Al go up for the toss. Galaph if we win the toss, take the ball first. If we lose the toss and they choose to receive, defend left." Coach said sending us out to the middle of the field. Safra is our starting running back and Big Al is our center. The refs were waiting for us in the middle. The other team sent their four players then the refs explained how the toss works as always.

The ref flipped the coin and as it fell to the ground the pony on the other team called tails. It was heads so it was my call. I took the ball and the other team is defending left. Now it's time for the buckoff. Four quarters fifteen minutes each, let's go. Our return team went on the field. This consisted of some defensive players and offensive tight ends. Freddy and Rainbow Dash are the returners. It still kinda irritates me that she's playing.

Coach went over some offensive plays with me during the kickoff. I kinda wish I saw it though. Freddy got the ball and started flying with it. Avoiding tackles from other pegasuses. Rainbow Dash threw in a great block that opened up a lane for Freddy. Freddy returned the buck for a touchdown. The crowd went crazy and Silver Octave played our team's song. Freddy threw the ball to the refs and waved to the fans. He went back to the sidelines back to me as the field goal unit replaced the return team. The backup quarterback went out to hold the ball for the bucker.

"Hey remember your rookie year and when I told you every first game I always returned the kick for a touchdown and you didn't believe me?" Freddy asked.

"Yeah why?" I asked.

"Bam. I showed you up again." He replied laughing. He can still be cocky. We got an extra point from the PAT attempt then our buckoff team came out. I usually just go over offensive plays when the defense is out. About five minutes later we sent out our return team to get the punt. I'm surprised our defense stopped them. Last year our defense couldn't stop them. Coach sent out Rainbow Dash to return. Great just great.

The ball was punted and Rainbow Dash got it. She just flew past all the ponies next to her and did some maneuvers around ponies ahead. She returned it! How in hell did she return it?! The crowd lost their fucking minds and once again Silver played the song again. This pissed me off but I kept my cool on the outside. Okay more time on the sideline. Boring. The PAT team went out and got the extra point. Then the buckoff team went out and did the buckoff. I, of course, didn't pay attention to the defense and instead just went over more plays.

The defense intercepted the ball on our 23 yard line and now our offense gets to go out. Finally some action.

"Hey Galaph just choose any play now. We're winning so I guess we don't really need to use strategy now." Coach said. That's good. I like it when I can control a play. We all got in the huddle and I chose the play 32 iso. Basic running play for the running back up the middle while the line isolates the linebacker or lineman.

"Pro I 32 iso on 1." I said then repeating it again to make sure it was heard. We lined up on the ball and I got under the center. The crowd cheered us on and I felt my blood rushing. Always feels good. I called for the snap and got the ball. I turned and handed it to the running back. He took it and galloped away. He was tackled 6 yards ahead. Pretty good for an iso play.

We did about five more running plays for about six or seven yards each. Now it's time for me to trick them. I called a play action for the 32 iso. I got Rainbow Dash going across the field, Freddy on a streak, and a tight end slanting. Just how I like it. The reason why I sent Freddy deep is because Freddy and I like to stunt with the pass. If I just throw it as far as I can with my magic and act like I still have it, he can speed ahead and get it before any pony knows. This play is our signature one because it rarely fails for us.

I took the snap and faked the handoff and as I did I launched it deep above most ponies, even the pegasi. Freddy reached it right before it hit the ground and because no pony was there he scored. Like I said, rarely fails. Plus it makes the defense look bad. The first half went by and it became half time. We're winning 49-0 so we scored a lot. We all went into the locker room connected to the sidelines for our halftime speech.

Coach was about to speak but instead he just busted out laughing. The rest of the team started laughing too.

"Okay okay settle down. Wow I never thought we'd be beating them this bad! Good job every pony. So I guess we just keep the lead and finish the game out. Go talk to your fans and friends in the stands before the second half then come back. Ponyneers on three!" Coach said. We all piled in and put our hooves up.

"1 2 3 Ponyneers!" We all shouted before leaving the room. I went with Freddy up to where our friends were.

"Ooo you guys are really doing great out there! Galaph I saw you go with the ball and some pony was about to tackle you then you were just like SWOOSH and you got on your hind legs and spun around him and scored IT WAS SUPERFANTASTIC AMAZING!" Pinkie Pie said excitedly doing her bounce.

"Yeah that happened it was a thing." I said boringly. I don't like flattering myself. I'm too proud to do that. "So are you all enjoying the game?" I asked.

"Yeah good job dude." Said Speedy. He's a nice pony but I swear there's something odd about him.

"I got something you need to improve on. When you hold the ball with your magic and you start scrambling outside the pocket, you cross your hooves sometimes." Black Lightning said. Useful but sometimes he is just paranoid. I also know he has a crush on Twilight.

"I got something to ask." Mentis Infintas said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"What's this game again?" He asked smiling. I know he was joking on that. Smart ass.

"I know I'm enjoying the game." Said Rainbow Dash casually flying in the air. "I scored the most!"

"Well that's true and I think some pony isn't to happy." Said Twilight looking at me. I had my teeth gritted and my eyes with some rage in them. Stupid cocky rainbow mare. They all giggled at me. I turned away. It just makes me so angry that she's playing after being so cocky about scoring the most. I like winning and when we score don't get me wrong but she shouldn't even be playing.

The announcer then said through the mic that halftime is over. All the athletes returned to their respective sidelines and we continued the game. The second half passed with almost no scoring. The end score is 52-0, a shootout. We had a little celebration on the field as the other team left. Then an interviewer came to my side.

"So Galaph, why do you think we won tonight?" The interviewer asked.

"Well we were ready. Our offense and defense knew to expect a tough team. We practiced harshly and it paid off. The line blocked and our receivers and backs scored. And our defense did a more than excellent job tonight." I said. Pretty spot on.

"And what about the rookie mare Rainbow Dash?"

"She is...uh good I guess. A bit cocky." I said trying not to flip out. The pony thanked me and went on to interview other ponies. He first went to Rainbow Dash. That really made me mad. I left the stadium and caught up with Freddy. He usually doesn't stay as long as me. He was happy about how the game turned out and didn't really have much else to say. Most ponies went to the hotel and packed their stuff. Most only stay for the preseason before going back to their actual homes. Freddy usual just stays where I do. He says to make sure I don't get in trouble but I think it's because he needs some pony to talk to or show off to.

We made it back to the hotel and by the time we got there it was 11pm. We took showers and went to bed. Rainbow Dash entered the room and went in the shower as we were in bed. I almost forgot she decided to room with us, with an invitation from Freddy. Which really bugs me. I fell asleep though before Rainbow Dash got out.

Something awoke me. The sound of tapping on one of the room's windows. I'm surprised I heard it with Freddy's snoring. I opened my eyes and saw Rainbow Dash get out of bed and hurry outside of the room. I quickly got up and followed. I took the stairs because she took the elevator. As soon as I reached the bottom she was at the front doors. What is she doing?

I followed silently behind her as she grouped with Twilight, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy. They started talking quietly so I got closer to hear. They said something about Celestia needing them about a near disaster. This intrigued me. They all approached the train at the station and got on. I teleported inside the train and into a different part from them.

The train then made it's departure. I'm so tired though. I laid on one of the seatss and fell asleep figuring the trains whistle would awake me. Well it wasn't a train whistle. Guess what it was. Cold water, sleep's worst enemy.

"Ah ah I'm awake mom!" I said not realizing I'm on the train. It was Rainbow Dash and how in hell did she get water on a moving train?

"Hey what are you doing here Galaph?" Rainbow Dash asked seriously.

"What's this disaster I heard about?" I asked in a tone she did.

"Ugh it's secret business." She replied.

"Well if it's secret make sure I don't hear about it now tell me." I said.

"We don't know yet but I guess if you want to know that bad you can come see Celestia with us." She said as we reached the station at Canterlot. The other five said I could come along so I did. I've never been to Canterlot before except for hoofball games and it is a nice place. After a couple minutes of galloping to reach the castle in the middle of night we reached it and entered.

"Girls and...Galaph?" Celestia said.

"How do you know who I am?" I asked.

"I know everypony. By the way heard you and the Ponyneers won 52-0. Good job. Now listen up." She said. "The disaster that's going to happen. Let me explain it."
