Derpy's new pet

A/N: this is just an idea that popped into my head today. So I give you this story.3 Enjoy

Derpy was walking along delivering mail to all the ponies. "Here you go." She said as she handed her last piece of mail to Pinkie Pie "Thanks Derpy!" Pinkie said in her usually joyful tone. "No problem Pinkie!" Derpy replied. As she trotted home she heard meowing from an alley. When she peered into the alley she saw a short haired orange kitten. "Aww you look hungry and lost." Derpy said. Her face lit up as she got an idea. "I'll take you home!" she said happily as she picked up the kitten and took him home. When she got there she got some milk, warmed it up and put it into a small bowl and then made some muffins to eat. "Now what to name you…" She thought out loud. "Hmm… Max? No. Umm… Milo? Yes!" Derpy said, happy with her choice. "Here kitty kitty!" Derpy called to Milo. He walked up to her and hopped into her lap and leapt down after Derpy got up. "Sorry Milo, but I gotta get some rest." Derpy said as she to her bedroom and went to sleep.

*The next morning*

Derpy woke up and yawned, stretched and got up and went to the kitchen to get some muffins. Today was her day off so she decided to visit the only pony who knows a lot about animals…Fluttershy. She went to the bathroom to take a shower. After the shower she gave Milo some milk and trotted out the door and flew (Crashed twice) to Fluttershy's cottage. She knocked on the door when a yellow pegasus appeared at the door "Hello there Derpy, please come in." Fluttershy welcomed Derpy inside. "So, what brings you here? Fluttershy asked. Derpy replied "I need some kitten food." "Why would you need kitten food?" Fluttershy asked. She didn't remember Derpy having a cat. "I found a kitten in an alley and I don't have any cat food for him." Derpy replied. "Oh, I have a lot of kitten food I'll give you a bag. Fluttershy said as she left and came back with a bag of kitten chow. "Thanks Fluttershy." Derpy said as she trotted outside thinking 'Dinky will be so happy when she gets back from her friends house.'

*Later*

She heard a knock on the door and opened it. "My little muffin I missed you so much." Derpy said to her daughter, Dinky Doo. "I have a surprise for you." As Derpy said that Dinky's face lit up with excitement. "Wow, what is it?" Dinky asked her mother, anxious to see what the surprise was. "Come on and I'll show you." Derpy said to the excited unicorn hopping up and down. When Dinky saw the kitty she smiled. "Wow you got me a kitty! Dinky said happily. "Yes and his name is Milo." Derpy said to her daughter. Dinky trotted over to Milo and petted his soft fur. 'Dinky is so happy.' Derpy thought happily to herself. "Come on Dinky time for bed." Derpy said as she trotted to her daughter's room to tuck her in bed for the night.
