It was only 6 months since Fluttershy had "reformed" him, and Discord now had a room in the castle. He had not been the best house guest, causing chaos regularly. One time he had gotten so out of hand that Celestia got the Elements of Harmony and let Twilight and her friends use them on him. Fluttershy had not wanted to, but she reluctantly agreed and said it was good for him to "learn a lesson," so he had been forced to stay in stone for a month. When he did cause chaos, it was usually small things. Like one time he had sent a fake letter from an admirer to Luna and she was so disappointed when she got out there and it was just Discord. Luna had hit him so hard that his snout was bruised for 2 weeks. But sometimes he just had these "urges," and he couldn't control himself. Discord lay on the throne room floor on his back watching Celestia read a letter.

"What ya reading?" Discord asked, his head propped up on his paw. She looked at him.

"A letter from Twilight. She has her birthday today and she asked if I would come. I am going to, but I am concerned about leaving you here alone," Celestia said.

"Oh by all means go, I won't cause too much trouble while I'm here alone."

"I don't know..."

"Fine, fine. Disappoint your best student just because of me."

"Well..." Discord's eyes narrowed, known what she was thinking.

"Are you thinking what I think you're thinking? You're not considering taking me there are you!?" He gaped in disbelief.

"I don't know. I might not. I really don't want you to ruin Twilight's birthday..." Celestia said, looking at Discord will his jaws open. "Hmm..." He continued looking at her. She stood up. "Yes. You are coming with me."

"Uh! It's gonna be awful. Too much organization! This will be sooooooo boring, Celestia, don't expect me to not ruin it," Discord grumbled. She shoved her face into his. His ears folded back.

"If you ruin it, you will not be sitting for weeks. Got that?" Celestia growled.

"Fine." He mumbled, standing up.

"Good. We leave immediately."

"I wonder if the Princess is coming," Apple Jack said. Pinkie Pie looked up from where she was hanging streamers.

"Oh, I'm sure she'll come! She hasn't been to Twilight's birthday for a while, from what she said!" Pinkie exclaimed, finishing the last streamer and throwing confetti on the floor.

"I know, but what if she doesn't? Won't Twilight be upset?" AJ fretted.

"Just you wait and see!" Pinkie told her. Suddenly, there was a knock on the barn door. "Oh, it must be the others!" Pinkie bounced over to the door.

"Why hello, Pinkie! You did a absolutely fabulous job of decorating in here!" Rarity cooed. Fluttershy followed her in, flanked by Rainbow Dash.

"Wow, sweet! It looks great in here!" Rainbow shouted, spinning a few loop-de-loops in the air.

"Good job," Fluttershy said quietly.

"So, when will Twilight get here? And is the Princess coming?" Rainbow asked.

"I don't-"

"Twilight will be here soon, and the Princess will definitely be with her!" Pinkie said, cutting Apple Jack off before she could say another word. AJ looked over at her.

"Are you sure she's coming? Did the Princess say she was?" Rainbow pressed.

"I'm sure! Nothing to worry about!" Pinkie reassured.

"Oh, I just love it when Princess Celestia comes to Ponyville, it makes me feel like I'm royalty," Rarity said.

"Yeah, sure, like Ponyville will ever be somewhere 'important.'"Rainbow grumbled. "Nothing exciting ever happens!" Rarity and Rainbow started getting into an argument, when the barn door started opening.

"Is anypony there?" Twilight asked.

"Quick! In your hiding spots!" Pinkie exclaimed. They all rushed to their hiding spots, and AJ turned off the lights. Twilight stepped into the barn. They jumped out. "Surprise! Happy birthday Twilight!"

"Oh my gosh! You guys are so nice! Thank you!" Twilight yelled.

"Don't forget about me!" The ponies turned around. There was the Princess.

"You made it!" Twilight shouted happily, running up to her and giving her a hug.

"Yes, I made it, and I brought someone." Celestia said, stepping aside.

"Huh?" The ponies asked, confused.

"Oh come on, don't tell me you forgot about Discord!" He exclaimed,laughing, stepping out from behind Celestia.

"Oh my," Rarity squeaked.

"Discord!" Fluttershy raced up to him, hugging him.

"Um, okay, that's enough," Discord said awkwardly as she squeezed him. She didn't let go. "Er, okay, I mean it, that's okay. You can stop now." He started smiling a little bit now, his face getting redder. She continued holding him. "O-okay! S-s-stop! That- that tickles!" He exclaimed, falling to the ground, with Fluttershy still on him, now purposely tickling him. The other ponies just stood there, getting a little embarrassed. Discord was laughing hysterically now, rolling, trying to pry her off. Suddenly, a light veil of magic pulled Discord off the ground and out of Fluttershy's hooves.

"Uh, that's good for now. Why don't we play a game?" Celestia suggested, setting Discord back on the ground.

"That sounds fun!" Pinkie shouted, whisking away to get a ball. She came back, depositing it on the ground. "We're gonna play kickball!"

"All right! I am so good at that game!" Rainbow shouted, pumping her hooves in the air.

"As long as I don't get dirty," Rarity agreed.

"Fantastic. Now if you excuse me I think I'll just be causing chaos..." Discord said, sitting on the ceiling.

"Oh no you don't," Celestia growled, pulling Discord over to her with her magic by his tail. "Will you excuse us a moment girls?" She said, still firmly holding him by the tail.

"Er, of course!(?) We'll just go outside then," Twilight stuttered. The ponies shuffled outside rather awkwardly, except Pinkie, who didn't seem to notice and bounced after her friends, and Rainbow Dash grabbed the ball, closing the door behind them.

"What?" Discord asked, as Celestia pulled him to face level.

"You know very well what! You cannot cause chaos here! After you said you would use magic for good instead of evil, you weren't suppose to!" Celestia shouted.

"I agreed to most of the time," he said.

"Don't be smart with me."

"Fine, fine." He promptly snapped his talon and caused a bucket of jelly to fall on her head. She growled.

"If you keep this up, I'll take your magic away while we're here!" Celestia yelled, using a cleaning spell to wipe off the grape jam.

"You wouldn't dare!" Discord growled.

"Wouldn't I?" She asked smugly, her horn glowing.

"No! It's mine! You can't take it!" He struggled against her grip, baring his teeth. A beam of light came out of her horn, and encased him in it's glow. "No!" He yowled. "Get away! Let me go!" The spell finished, taking Discord's magic with it. She dropped him, letting him lay on the floor.

"You may come outside when you are ready to behave," she said, leaving. Discord just sit on the ground. She left. He sat up. Great. No magic, no chaos, no nothing. Oh well, might as join the others, he thought. He stood up, and walked outside. The ponies were separated into 2 teams- Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Apple Jack- and Fluttershy, Twilight, and Pinkie Pie. The Princess was on the side lines, watching.

"Hey Discord! Want to be on our team?" Fluttershy asked, flying up to him after they were done with the round.

"I don't know." Discord looked at her.

"Oh come on! Then the Princess can play because the teams will be even!"

"Fine."

"Yay! You guys, we can have an extra player each! And Discord is on our team!" Fluttershy shouted.

"Awesome! Haha you guys, we have Discord! Try and beat us now!" Pinkie whooped.

"I'm glad we don't have Discord..." Rarity said.

"Agreed. I mean, I know he's reformed and all, and a little nicer, I still don't trust him," Apple Jack agreed.

"Oh you ponies don't need to worry about him fooling around. I sorta fixed that while he's here," Celestia commented. Discord shot her a glare, his face reddening.

"Oh cool, so I guess he'll play fair then, huh?" Rainbow Dash asked. "Let's get started!"

"Discord, you wanna kick first?" Twilight asked.

"Uh, sure, I guess," He replied. He stepped up to the plate.

"Okay, here's the first pitch!" Apple Jack told him. She rolled the ball towards him. Discord lined up with it, and kicked it as hard as he could with his lizard foot. It went sailing over their heads, and even though Rainbow tried to shoot up and get it, it was still going too fast for her. He dropped to all fours and bounded to first plate. Ball still going. He continued on to second. Ball still not stopping. He reached third plate and went to home.

"Point!" Pinkie screeched. Discord lay on his stomach, panting.

"Wow! Nice kick there, Discord! You really have Rainbow going after it!" Twilight praised.

"Wait, GOING? It's still going?!" Discord asked incredulously.

"Oh sure! She missed it by a long shot! It went sailing!" Fluttershy told him. "It was great!"

"How? How did you do that!?" Apple Jack asked, dumbfounded.

"Yes, it was quite exquisite!" Rarity admired.

"I never knew you were that strong! I mean you usually use magic so I guess I never really saw you use your own strength!" Pinkie chattered.

"Hmm, I guess I do always use magic. I never used my full strength either," Discord observed.

"I wonder how far it went?" Twilight wondered. "Rainbow still isn't back yet. I hope she got it."

"Im sure she'll be back soon," Celestia said. Suddenly a shriek pierced the air.

"Rainbow!" Apple Jack exclaimed.

"Quick! We have to find her!" Rarity shouted.

"Let's go girls!" Twilight urged, motioning toward the direction the ball went.

"Ahem!" Discord muttered.

"Oh yeah, Er, um, and boys?" He just growled and they took off.

"I think I hear something!" Fluttershy said, pointing towards an old worn down shack. "I think she's in there!"

"Help! Help! I'm trapped!" Rainbow Dash shouted. Suddenly, Rainbow cried out as a roar resounded around the forest.

"Is that-?" Twilight asked.

"A Timber wolf? Yes," Apple Jack gulped. "Come on,faster!" Discord was slowly getting faster than the ponies, his guilt of kicking the ball too hard overcoming him. He dove into the shack, and saw Rainbow with the Timber wolf grabbing her leg in it's teeth.

"No!" He hissed and kicked the wolf into the side of the shack, making it start to collapse. He quickly grabbed Rainbow as wood fell on them. He bolted out the door, but was quickly stopped by the Timber wolf grabbing his bat wing in its teeth. Discord threw Rainbow at the other ponies, and turned around. He punched the wolf in the face, crushing it. He was about to take off, when a huge chunk of wood embedded itself through the bones of his bat wing. He screeched as wood continuously fell.

"No! Discord!" Celestia used her magic to stop the wood, while he lay curled up in a ball with his wing stuck in the ground. As soon as they reached him, Twilight picked up the wood with her magic, preparing to pull it out. She started and he quickly lashed out at her.

"What the-!" Twilight exclaimed.

"Stay away!" Discord snarled. Twilight turned to the Princess, about to object, when she started speaking.

"Twilight. Don't you see? The wood is firmly lodged in the bones. You cannot just yank it out." Princess Celestia said. Twilight nodded. "Now," she said, turning to Discord, "How do you want us to get it out?"

"If you don't mind, I think I know," Fluttershy piped up from where she was bandaging the bites on Rainbow.

"How?"

"Well, maybe we could dig the dirt out from around the stick, and then slide it off?"

"It might work, let's do it." They began digging from around his wing, continuing to accidentally knock against it, racking it with pain.

"Oh get back! If you're going to keep bumping it there's no use even getting it out nicely! I'll get it!" Discord roared. He then stood crouched to the ground, and PULLED with all his might,ripping the wing nearly in half. He screeched, and dug his claws into the ground, blood spurting from the broken appendage.

"Oh my," Rarity said woozily, fainting as blood spattered her.

"I think I'm gonna be sick..." Apple Jack groaned.

"Discord!" Fluttershy screamed, wincing when it splattered at her feet.

"Uh! Why did you do that!?" Twilight exclaimed, shaking blood off her hoof. Pinkie looked horrified, her eyes wide. She quickly got up and ran off to throw up.

"Discord? Thanks. You saved me. Sorry about your wing," Rainbow Dash said.

"Er, you're welcome, I guess," Discord muttered.

"We better get that checked out," Celestia said, "Let's get you to the hospital."
