Twilight Sparkle stood, looking over the roughly cut headstones. They where so much, friends, like sisters. Now these rock where all that was left. Dash, Rarity, Applejack, Flutter, Pinkie, Spike. All in a neat row. Princess Twilight Sparkle lowered her horn to the gravestones, and a single, shining tear fell. It seemed like ages ago, when a perfect world fell apart...

Twilight Sparkle sat on her bed, thumbing through a book. Spike sat beside her. The newly made Princess turned to look at Spike, who produced a letter from Celestia, goddess of the sun. The baby dragon handed Twilight the letter, who opened it, and read it aloud.

Dear Twilight,

There is trouble in Canterlot. I hate to pull you and your friends away from home, but we need the Elements of Harmony.

Come Quickly, Celestia.

Twilight sat down her book. "Spike, go tell the others. I need to pack."

Ten minutes later, the whole group was ready to go, and everyone was wearing their element. Once on the train, Applejack asked; "So, why are we needed in Canterlot?" The purple alicorn sigh. "Celestia didn't say. It is very unlike her. A short letter that didn't even tell us what the problem is." the other nodded in agreement, which was was followed by the sound of a party horn, and out came the first wave of balloons. Pinkie grinned. "Canterlot, here we come!" she said happily. Applejack sighed. "Not now Pinkie. Equestria might be in real danger. It is not time for a party." The alicorn flew in circles around the train car, very quickly. Much to Rainbow's delight, she had took an interest in acrobatics and speed flying. Her wings where strong and sure, her tail and cutie mark looked like a line of magic sparks when she flew across the sky, right underneath Dash's rainbow. Very soon, the train swept into Canterlot, and the six friends trotted out eagerly. As they approached the castle gates, Shining Armor and Cadence came out of the castle. "Stay where you are." Shining Armor said. Twilight rolled her eyes. "Just let us in, will you?" she muttered, and immediately found herself restrained by magic while another Cadence's magic checked them each for any hint of magic and found none. "They are as they appear." she said at last, and they were lead into the castle. When they reached the throne room, Celestia was pacing back and forth, while Luna looked at her, no less anxiously. "Finally, you are here. Oh, what am i to do?" she said, turning to them. "The Elements of Harmony will not fail. They never gave before." she said, more to try to reasure herself then them, it seemed. "The king has return. Sombre, the terrorizer, and the unicorn who cursed the Crystal Empire. He is back, and trying again. You must go to assist the Crystal Ponies once again." she said. "And i'm sorry about the greeting you got at the gate, but we need to know you aren't a spy in disguise." Twilight nodded. "We understand." she said, while Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie nodded. "Go now!" Celestia said urgently.
