Rarity s bedroom was alit by a faint glow of the sun peering through her windows. Skye was mumbling. Stop, no put that lightsaber down he said. He realized he was awake and opened his eyes.
He rubbed his face and turned to his side, meeting Rarity. Hello darling she said.
Aargh screamed Skye, flailing about, and then sliding of the side of the bed. Skye, dear, are you alright? she asked. Skye merely shrugged and then laughed.
You scared the heck out of me he said.
Oh. I m sorry, I didn t mean to she said.
It s fine he said, picking up the blanket and putting it very neatly back on the bed.
My goodness, that s a handy skill said Rarity.
Erm, yeah, I suppose. I don t think many ponies know, but I raised myself from the age of twelve he said, inadvertently catching he attention.
What do you mean? she asked.
I err Scootaloo is my sister? he asked.
She is? asked Rarity, Well, I d say that was impossible she finished. Skye walked over to a staircase and slipped on the first step. He crashed, smacked and banged his way down.
Skye, oh my goodness, are you okay? asked Rarity.
I m fine, luckily, I landed on something OH said Skye, realizing what he had landed on, which was Spike.
Spike, I m like, really sorry about that he said, getting up rather quickly.
Well, just don t do it again, or I ll burn you he said through gritted teeth, very sharp looking teeth.
Spike? asked Rarity, Have you grown? she asked continuing.
Yes, I came here to visit you after Twilight told me to leave he said.
Why would she do that? asked Rarity, quite curious as to what was going on. And Spike had indeed grown, to about Skye s size.
I don t know, but I know that don t have a place to stay, so I thought , he started.
Spike, I really would help you, but Skye has taken the vacancy she said, feeling sorry, since Spike had always wanted a sleepover at her boutique.
No, Rarity, I you were just the nearest pony, and I was gonna fall asleep, so I just meant the one night he said, not really wanting to stay with her.
Well, alight then she sighed, Spike can stay she finished, looking sad and a bit cheery at the same time.
Rarity, I don t have time for breakfast, sorry, I have to see somepony he finished. Rarity ignored him, or so it seemed and went into her kitchen.
Sorry Rarity, but I need to sort out a few things first he said, after closing her front door.
Skye! came the voice of Bon-Bon. He turned around and saw her, standing with an ecstatic looking Lyra. Now Lyra, remember exactly what I told you she said. Skye nervously smiled.
Hi girls he said, trying to make a fool of himself.
Well, Skye, I ve booked you a date said Bon-Bon, making Skye s eyes widen, At Sugarcube Corner tonight at six pm she said.
I just a second Lyra he said. Lyra closed her eyes and covered her ears, rather childishly.
Yes? said Bon-Bon.

Yes, and she really needs this, even if it doesn t work out she said, then got close to his face, I know humans are evil and all, but she has been dreaming of this for like, years now she said.
Fine said Skye, thinking it over carefully and not missing anything.
Thank you she said. She and Lyra walked away, towards a building that looked like candy, probably Sugarcube Corner. Skye looked around. Right, well, I have to visit Vinyl, wherever she lives. Then I have to see Fluttershy no, I can t until that date, otherwise Lyra will be heartbroken. Damn these ponies! he shouted.
Some ponies looked at him, What? he asked, I m kinda having a breakdown he said, mumbling and then walking off.
Skye started jogging down the town market, looking for somepony who was involved with last night. But he couldn t see anyone that he needed to talk to except Vinyl.
Vinyl? he asked, walking up to her. She turned around.
Hey she said, smiling with confidence, doing exactly the opposite of Skye.
I this might sound really stupid and horrible-or not, but Do you like me? he asked. Vinyl shook her head.
Look Skye, last night I was just messin with ya she giggled.
No, that s good. That means that there s only a few ponies I need to see he replied.
Huh? he said, and then tilted her head.
Well, I can t tell you because I m guessing you d probably spread rumours he said. Vinyl laughed and lost her balance.
I ve known you for like ten minutes in total, and you already know my personality she said, laughing loudly.
Skye looked to the nearest pony, Is she always like this? he asked. The pony that was nearest was a dark grey and had an even darker grey mane.
Yes, unfortunately she mumbled, Oh, you re the human, I m Octavia, it s nice to meet you she said. Then she looked at Vinyl having a giggling fit, Erm, you might want to leave before she starts some sort of stand-up .
Sure, goodbye he said, then backed away and turned. Only gotta find out about this somepony that Spike told me about he thought. He wondered around Ponyville for a lot of the day, trying to figure out who it was. Then he thought why not visit Spike, it could also be a chance to explain to Rarity that he didn t like her, but that would make her sad.
Skye finally arrived upon Rarity s boutique. He knocked. Just a second she said from behind the door.
Rarity, I he started, Lyra, CRAP. What time is it?! he shouted in his head, I need help with a suit he said, trying to open the door. He heard crashing sounds inside. What the he said.
Hello Skye she said after opening the door. Skye smiled.
Rarity, I need help with a suit for six pm he said.
It s five pm, you re giving me an hour? she asked. He nodded, Sorry, but I have a date he said.
With whom, may I ask? she asked.
I m just gonna tell you the truth because if I don t, it will get back at me he said, Look, Lyra like loves me or something because I am a human, but I like Fluttershy. Spike told me that someone likes me, and I don t know who, I came here to ask him that and I was confused if you liked me or not because of how you acted he finished.
Rarity just stood there, and Skye saw Spike in the background, he was smiling. Skye thought that they had been making out. Rarity then clarified that by saying, Well, actually, I found someone else , which Skye accepted.
Good, well, alright then he said. Suit? he asked, getting back to the subject. They both headed inside the boutique and as Skye walked past Spike, he pointed at Rarity. Player whispered Skye, stopping himself from laughing. Well, Skye, you re just lucky that I already made two suits for someone else, but they were a mistake she whispered at the end.
Oh Rarity, that s great he said. Rarity used her magic to levitate a wardrobe near her, which she opened and gave them to Skye, one was maroon and looked like some sort of eighties suit. The other was blue and looked like a really smart outfit, however, it looked too small.
I ll go and change into this one he said, lifting the maroon one.
Right she said. Later, Skye had fitted one the suit and it was a little tight, but otherwise fine. He had asked for directions to Sugar cube corner and gone there, however, he had met Bon-bon outside and she had given him the I-Pod battery, but not the I-Pod itself.
You know, I think I ll do this for her he said, giving back the battery.
Seriously? asked Bon-bon.
Sure, I mean, if it s hers, won t she be angry with you for giving it away like this? he asked, realizing the I-Pod wasn t hers.
Well, yeah it s just that I really wanted you to do this for her she sighed.
You are too good of a friend he said, then looked at the entrance. Well, I m ready and waiting he said. Bon-Bon pointed at Lyra through the window. Skye looked at a watch Rarity had given him and it read five fifty six. He walked inside and Lyra looked at him coming over to her.
You came she said.
Yeah he said, looking extremely nervous.
So, what do you want to eat? she asked.
Let s see, if they have any oh god humans eat , he was about to say, but Lyra put her hoof over his mouth and made a shushing motion. Skye now knew she was aware of what humans ate.
Why don t you just try a daisy sandwich? she asked.
Well, I don t eat flowers I suppose the thing I could bare the most would probably be hay, or soup he said.
Goodie, we have tomato soup, and grass soup, and pea soup she said.
Tomato soup, thanks he said, and then looked at a smartly dressed pony with a moustache.
And you, my lady? he asked.
Daisy sandwiches please, and some punch for drinks she said. The pony walked away.
So, that as the waiter? asked Skye.
Yep, and they are quick she said.
Hold up, I thought this was like, a bakery? he asked.
Lyra giggled, It is, but every Saturday they have this fancy restaurant theme she finished. Right answered Skye. Lyra simply smiled, as if waiting for Skye to start a discussion on something. She looked at the cutlery and then back at Skye. Well, I suppose I should start by asking how old you are? he said.
Fairly good start, my age is twenty two she said.
My age then, seeing as it was by birthday last night he agreed. Lyra nodded. Another pony with their order walked over to their table and laid everything down neatly. Lyra tucked in. Skye was confused about the cutlery, because they had only spoons. Even if they didn t eat meat, a fork and knife would be useful.
This is good said Skye, after having some soup. He couldn t tell why, but eating soup in a pony filled world just seemed weird, it was weird. It just felt, weird and normal at the same time. Suddenly outside, a wave smashed the windows and a piercing sound erupted. Skye dropped his soup and Lyra dropped to the floor. Lyra! he shouted. Pretty much all the other ponies had collapsed as well. This blast had no effect on him. LYRA! he shouted once more, and she woke up.
Skye, what oh no! she screamed, pushing Skye into the shadows of the bakery. They both watched as an evil cloud looking pony with a crown walked past, followed by hundreds of black ponies. Do you know who that is? whispered Lyra.
No, but whoever they are, they re clearly evil he said. He and Lyra sneaked past the army and started running towards the library.
Once they arrived, Skye opened the door and saw Twilight collapsed on the floor with Spike trying to wake her. Rarity was barely unconscious in the corner.
Spike, what happened? asked Lyra.
It s he whispered. Suddenly, a group of the army came through the area. Skye, take Rarity and Twilight, find the other elements and get to the castle he said. He ran outside and Skye failed to stop him. The second Spike was outside, a pony hit him with some sort of spell and he went down.
Take him to the base said one the army members.
Skye, what about Bon-Bon? asked Lyra.
Sorry Lyra, but we gotta find the others, I m sure she is fine she said, picking up Twilight. Rarity, where is the back door? he asked.
Rarity came to her senses and took them to a back door, leading them outside.
Is Spike she tried to ask, but failed as she started to cry.
No, Rarity, I am sure he is fine too, just don t give up he said.
Lyra, Skye carrying Twilight and Rarity had run all the way to Fluttershy s cottage. Skye laid Twilight on the ground and she soon woke up. Lyra explained everything and Twilight told them exactly what Spike had already.
Twilight, you and Lyra go get Applejack and Rainbow Dash he said, Me and Rarity will find Pinkie he finished. They both nodded and carefully trotted off.
Suddenly, Skye heard Lyra s voice, Skye, are you okay? she said. Skye looked around, but Lyra had gone.
Skye looked at Rarity, she looked confused, and then started to melt. Holy crap! shouted Skye.
Skye, Skye wake up said Lyra again. For, where everything had melted, it morphed into the Sugar Cube Corner. It appears he had had a daydream.
Lyra? he said.
You were eating your soup and then you stopped moving. I thought you were going to sneeze or something, but you were like that for about ten minutes she said. Skye looked around; the two of them were not in the restaurant itself, but outside. Bon-Bon was also there, looking disappointed.
I had a bad dream he said, I need to see Twilight about it he said. He got up and looked back at Lyra, who seemed to be really upset. To hell with that thought Skye. He ran up to Lyra, So, you wanna do something else? he asked.
Yes! she shouted, I mean, sure okay she repeated with less emphasis. Bon-Bon smiled as the two of them walked off, talking about things like TV s. Well, I hope they have a good time she said. And I m talking to myself Again she finished as she walked off to her house.
Meanwhile, Skye and Lyra had gone to visit a pony that also seemed interested in humans; she was dark blue and had a wizard like hat.
Lyra, hello she said. Skye watched as the pony started walking around him.
Hi Trixie, this is Skye. I thought you would be interested in meeting him she said.
Does it speak? she asked.
Yes I speak, I m not an animal said Skye, slightly offended, And I ll have you know I m not an it . You seem very ignorant he said.
Yes, that s what a lot of ponies say she said, then looked over to a small caravan looking place, which was attached to a quite big stage. Trixie lived on the outskirts of Ponyville.
Oh said Skye, he tried to think of something to make her feel better, Well, if it s anything, I saw a poster in town that said the great and powerful Trixie, which must mean you have some sort of act he said.
Lyra, wherever did you find this human? asked Trixie.
Well, he said he just woke up near the apple orchard, on the fields he said, highly pleased.
Trixie looked astonished, and then asked them to leave because she had something to do, and they did.
So Lyra tonight was pretty interesting he said.
Yeah, I know. I was there she said.
Land ahoy, captain obvious he laughed.
I like humans, not because they re different, but because of the things they come up with, Like I-Pods she said, I lost mine she said.
Really? he said, taking out of his pocket.
How she mumbled.
Bon-Bon, she bribed me to go on a date with you , he started, but Lyra looked angry. Skye tried to explain that he didn t want the I-Pod, but Lyra backed away.
So, you didn t want to go on this date? she asked.
Not at first, but , he started, but Lyra was so angry and upset, she ran off. Lyra! he shouted. It was too late, she had gone. Skye looked at his watch, which now said nine pm. Wow, that didn t seem like three hours at all he said.
Skye looked around to see if Lyra had hidden behind a tree or something, but she hadn t, she had gone home. Sorry Lyra he whispered. He turned around and threw the I-Pod to the floor. Then he picked it back up and knocked the dirt off of it, Damn it, she ll still want this he said, putting it in his pocket and walking away.
After he left, a small shape in mid-air lit, and Lyra become visible, she had used an invisibly spell. She was crying and then her horn lit again and she disappeared.
Later, Skye had arrived at the library. Twilight was still there, writing something in front of a white Alicorn, who was speaking about lessons and magic. Skye said Twilight, after the Alicorn had finished.
Hey Twilight he said. He took the blazer-jacket off so he only had a purple shirt on, then sat on the floor and slouched towards a shelf.
Is everything alright? she asked.
Skye looked depressed, I hate hurting people, especially people who try to like me he said.
What happened? asked Twilight. The Alicorn walked up to him.
I presume this is the human you were talking about? she said.
Yes Princess said Twilight.
I upset Lyra, but I didn t mean to he finished.
Skye, I must confess that I brought you here said the princess.
Seriously he asked. The princess nodded.
It was necessarily, I looked into Earth, and I saw an outcast. I decided it would be a good idea to put this plan into motion she said.
Was I supposed to learn about friendship or something? he asked.

A crash, and dust got in his eyes, Skye saw a Pegasus dizzying around, then saw the colours in her mane. Oh, you have got to be kidding he mumbled.
Rainbow Dash! What have I told you about trying to Sonic Rainboom near Ponyville shouted Twilight.
Sorry, Twi, but I was practising for the Wonderbolt Academy she said.
Rainbow Dash? asked Skye. The princess looked at him, then at her.
Yes, to your dismay I see she said cleverly.
Skye looked at the seriously confused Rainbow Dash. Celestia, sorry about that I was she stuttered.
Rainbow Dash, I want you to meet your brother said Celestia.
What? laughed Rainbow Dash, then looked at Skye, I don t have a brother Do I? she said, and then swallowed.
