The Bragging Game

All of Twilight's friends are at her house. Applejack and Rainbow Dash are playing Battle-Cloud and Dash is about to win.

"Ha! I win again. IN YOUR FACE, APPLEJACK," Rainbow shouted at Applejack. The farm pony was clearly annoyed, but held her emotions in.

"You got me again. Good for you, sugarcube," AJ said angrily, gritting her teeth against her other teeth. She looked at the others and they all thought the same thing: Attitude Adjustment for Rainbow.

"It's okay, Applejack. I'll let you win next time." She patted the cow-pony on the head as Applejack growled at her. "I gotta go, guys. I need a good night's sleep," Rainbow said, almost yawning. They said their goodbyes and she left Twilight's home. The 5 others stayed.

"She's outta control, Twilight," Applejack said.

"She's a meanie-pants," Pinkie said.

"Most dreadful behavior," Rarity said.

"She needs to not boast so much...if it's okay," Fluttershy squeaked.

"I'm just as worried as the rest of you. If were going to help her, I need all of you to help," Twilight asked. They nodded.  "I have a plan. It's not pretty, but it's our best shot. Who's with me?" They all raised their hoofs.

"'Operation: Bragger Go Away' is a go."

(Theme Song)

The sky is clear and everypony is out doing something. Rainbow flew over to Twilight's home and landed. She trotted over to the door and knocked. Twilight opened the door.

"It's time to lose at Battle-cloud again," Rainbow said, pompously.

"Sorry, No BRAGGERS allowed." She slammed the door closed. Rainbow went nuts. She angrily stomped on the ground.

"FINE! I don't need you so called 'friends.' If you need me, I'll be at my house." She stomped the ground furiously and quickly flew off.

Inside the tree...

"Are you sure this will work?" Fluttershy asked.

"If this won't, nothing will," Twilight said, looking out the window.

Dash landed at her house and walked inside. Tank was on the couch. He slowly looked up at the angered pegasus. She sat down, looking at the pet tortuous.

"Who needs them? She sniffled. They were wrong. I don't brag....do I?" She looked at the pet. He looked indifferent. "What did I do?" She looked at her hoofs. "I guess I bragged a little." Tank looked not convinced. "Maybe a lot." She began to frown and shake. "NO!" She started to cry. "Now they probably h-hate me and they never w-wanna see me again. Now I'm all alone. I hate being alone." She stammered as more tears started to flow from her eyes. Tank came over to her and nuzzled his head to her flank. She picked him up and held him close. "At least I've still got you, Tank." She thought she'd never have friends again after treating them like garbage. She stammered, "I'm so sorry." She sobbed on the couch. She had never felt so alone in her life. Tank was glad he could comfort her, though he still worried about her.

A storm started to brew around Dashie's home. Inside was the sobbing pegasus formerly known as Rainbow Dash and Tank, her pet. Ever since realizing her mistake, she'd been crying nonstop for 3 days straight and cried herself to sleep the night before. She was a total wreck. Her flowing mane was now messily ruffled. Her fur was a mess and dirty from not tending to it. She had been having an ice-cream sob story for a day and cried for hours. She was watching a soap opera on retired Wonderbolts and was scooping chocolate ice cream in to her muzzle, crying every minute. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. The pegasus got up from the couch and walked over to the door. Opening it, she saw Twilight there. "Hi Rain-OH SWEET CELESTIA! What happened to you?" She starred at the pegasus un-kept mane, fur and ice cream on her stomach and muzzle.

"I've been crying my eyes out for days and eating ice cream after I found out how horrible I was acting. I shouldn't brag and treat you like dirt." She started to cry again.

"I didn't know how bad you'd take this," Twilight was on the verge of tears. Rainbow wiped away her tears and looked up.

"What do you mean?" Rainbow looked at the unicorn with suspicion.

"We planned this to get you to stop being an asshole and not brag."

"You don't hate me?" Dash continued to cry, but wiped away her tears.

"We just wanted to teach you a lesson." Twilight began to cry, too. Rainbow had never felt happier for forgiveness in her whole life. She smiled and happily cried for a moment. Twilight held out her hoofs for a hug and Rainbow replied with one.

"I'M SO SORRY!" Dash sobbed into Twilight's mane.

Twilight ran her hoof through Rainbow's mane slowly and said, "Shh...It's okay. We're still your friends."

"Thank you."

Soon, they were back at Twilight's home and everypony was there. "We're sorry, Rainbow. We didn't know how bad yea'd take it," Applejack said, one hoof around Dash's shoulder.

"I'm glad you learned something...and took a shower before coming here," Rarity said, hugging Dash. Yes, in fact, Rainbow did clean herself up before coming to Twilight's.

"No more meanie-pants, Dashie?" Pinkie asked. Rainbow's hug made it clear. "Good. Glad to have Dashie back."

Fluttershy just hugged Dash and started to cry. It obviously meant forgiveness.

"Ready, Spike?" Dash asked. Spike held up a quill and parchment. "Dear Princess Celestia, Winning can be fun, but bragging isn't. It makes your friends feel bad and not wanna hang out with you. It just makes you a jerk and that's not fun. Signed Rainbow Dash." Spike tied up the letter and sent it off with a burst of green fire.

"I'm glad you learned your lesson," Twilight said. "You were a real jerk."

"I said I was sorry," Rainbow replied.

"We know. We just wanted to make sure. Now how about Parcheesi? I never lose at that." Dash looked at the camera, sighed and face-hoofed.

Lonely Pie

Pinkie approached the door and knocked. Twilight opened it. "Hey, Pinkie Pie. What's up?"

"Wanna hang out?" Pinkie asked. Twilight frowned.

"Sorry. I can't." She opened the door to reveal a similar scene to when The Cakes asked her to babysit. Spike was holding up papers and such. "It's worse than last time, too."

"Okay. see yeah later." She hopped away and tried to hide her sorrow. Twilight was the last friend Pinkie asked to hang out. No pony could hang out and that just made her feel sad and lonely. She knew her birthday and any other's were really far away, so it wasn't like last time. As she approached Sugarcube Corner, her hair deflated and straightened out. Her usual angry demeanor when she got like this was replaced with sorrow. As soon as she entered the sweet shop, she began to cry. She ran, not bounced, up the stairs and to her room. She cried for hours until the dusk began to show. Why wasn't anypony around? The Cakes were at a long delivery, Gummy was at Fluttershy's and the twins were downstairs, well knowing not to disturb her when she got like this. They were playing around when I came by.

"Hello?" I asked, poking my face into the shop through the double doors.

"Green," Pumpkin said, crawling towards me.

"Where's Pinkie?" She looked up at the ceiling. "What's that?" I heard crying from the second floor. "Stay here." They just sat back down. I walked up to the next floor. As I walked through the hall, the crying became softer. "Pinkie?"

"Green? Is that you?" Pinkie called through her sobs. I opened her door and found her crying into a pillow on her bed.

"What happened?" I entered the room. I walked up to the sad pony.

"My friends..can't hang out today..." She started to cry again.

"It's okay. I'll hang out with you." She smiled a little. "That's what I like to see. You know? I like your mane like that?"

"Really?"

"Yeah. But it's not just your mane. Your really pretty, Pinks." She smiled more, but her mane stayed the way it was. She was also blushing.

"There's something I want to say."

"Me too." We hesitated before saying what we did.

"I love you." We said in unison. We started to cry and she came over and kissed me on the lips. Joy couldn't even begin to describe the feeling I was feeling. I broke it for a moment.

"Please keep the mane flat. You look more beautiful." She just smiled before two familiar babies came into the room. The crawled over to us: Pound went to Pinkie and Pumpkin to me. Pumpkin came over with the tortuous toy in her hoofs. I picked her up.

"Look. It's Tank." The babies giggled and we laughed, too.
