My first MLP fanfiction. Hope you all like it and I based it around what I would like to be if I were a MLP character.

The sun was shining brightly in the afternoon sky. No clouds could be seen in Ponyville. All the ponies were out and having a great time in the sun, but a certain purple unicorn with a purple mane and tail with red and pink highlights and a star cutie mark on her flank was busy reading piles of books while her green and purple scaled baby dragon was dusting and organizing her books.

"Spike, would you please get me the strange and odd book of pony facts" Twilight asked Spike as she used her magic to turn the page of the book in front of her.

"Sure" Spike climbed the wooden ladder to the top shelf and grabbed the strange and odd book of pony facts. He slid down the ladder and ran over to Twilight, setting the book on her already growing pile of books.

Spike started to go back to dusting the shelves and organizing the books when he felt his green fire coming from his stomach. A letter form the princess arrived in a green cloud of fire.

"The Princess sent a letter? Now?" Twilight turned to Spike, abandoning her books. The dragon cleared his throat before reading the letter;

My dearest student Twilight,

My sister Luna and I have just found out long lost sister and she is in need for some friends. I would like you and your friends to take the task of becoming her friends. I know you and your friends can do it, but I must let you know that she isn't like any other pony you've met. She had special abilities and is the princess of the dark underworld. I will be arriving tomorrow at sundown.

Princess Celestia

Spike finished reading and re-read the letter before setting it down and glancing at the now pacing Twilight.

"Spike, what do you think the princess meant by special abilities?" the purple unicorn asked her dragon as she stopped pacing and stood by her pile of books. Using her magic she placed all of the books back on the shelf in their correct positions.

"Spike, find me the strange and abnormal pony ability book" Twilight asked Spike as she used her magic to help look for it. She knew it was somewhere in her library and she needed to find it so that when Princess Celestia and Princess Luna brought their long lost sister she would be able to figure out what ability she had.

"Here it is" Spike waved a blue and purple leather bound book in the air.

"Thanks Spike. Just place it on the table" Twilight said as she trotted out of her house to tell her friends of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna's arrival.

Spike placed the book on the oak table Twilight was reading on earlier and ran out of the house after her. When he caught up with the purple unicorn he jumped on her back as she trotted toward Sugar Cube Corner.

Twilight pushed open the pink wooden door with a cupcake design on it and looked around for Pinky Pie. She spotted a light blue earth pony with a pink and light pink streak swirled mane and tail. She wore a pink ruffled apron and on her flank were three cupcakes.

"Hello Mrs. Cake, is Pinky Pie here?" Twilight asked her. She turned around so she was facing Twilight, a tray of cookies in her mouth. She set them down on the counter and trotted over to Twilight.

"Twilight, it's nice to see you dear, but Pinky Pie isn't here" Mrs. Cake picked up the tray of cookies and placed them in the display window. Spike and Twilight looked at each other, thinking where else Pinky Pie would be.

"Do you know where she is?" Spike jumped off of the purple unicorn and walked to the window that held the sweets. Licking his lips, he snuck a couple of cookies off of the display window and gobbled them up before climbing back on the unicorn.

"Hummm…I did hear her saying she was going to Sweet Apple Acres for a party" Mrs. Cake saw a trail of crumbs leading from the display window to Spike. She sighed and returned to the back room, bringing another tray of cookies out.

"Thank you" Twilight thanked the light blue earth pony before leaving the store.

"Come on Spike, we're going to Sweet Apple Acres" Twilight trotted down the road and to Apple Jack's barn out in the field.

Its bright red pain glowed in the distance and the apple fields stretching out for miles in the distance.

She opened the wooden barn doors and saw all of her friends. Spike jumped down from Twilight and ran over to a white unicorn with purple curly main and tail. Her flank had three, blue, sparkling diamonds.

"Twilight, darling" Rarity welcomed Twilight. Spike stared at her, his eyes like hearts as he played with her purple curls.

"Glad you could make it sugar cube" Applejack said. She was an orange earth pony with sandy blonde mane and tail, a brown hat perched on her head. Three shiny, red apples on her flank created her cutie mark.

"I'm only here to give you a message from the princess" Twilight motioned for Spike to read the message from Princess Celestia. He ran over and cleared his throat, reading the message.

After he had finished all the girls were started talking at once about what they were going to do, plan and have at the welcome party.

"Girls, did you not just hear she's bringing her long lost sister" the purple unicorn tried to get her friends to see that this wasn't just a visit from the princesses, but also from their LONG LOST SISTER!

"Come on Twilight, I'm sure it'll be just like any other visit" Rainbow dash rolled her eyes. Rainbow dash was a blue pegasus with a rainbow mane and tail. She had a cloud with a rainbow lightning bolt as her cutie mark.

"Maybe your right Rainbow dash" Twilight sighed and chatted with her friends, but she couldn't help but wonder what Princess Celestia and Princess Luna's long lost sister would look like or what her special ability was.

Hope you all liked the first chapter. You'll see Celestia and Luna's long lost sister in the next chapter. That's where I discribe what I've always wanted to look like as a MLP character!

Hey everyone, I hope you like this chapter. A few thing first:

1) Princess Dusk (Celestia and Luna's long lost sister) is what I would like to look like if I were a mlp character.

2) My Winx story has a poll for the next chapter and I need votes, so check that out and vote please.

3) I'm thinking of getting rid of my Monster High story, but I don't know so let me know about that.

On to the story...

Yellow, Blue and Red streamers wrapped around lamp posts and decorated the streets. Balloons with images of the sun and moon hung on buildings and were tied around rocks so they floated around in the grass. The main 6 were hanging the giant banner in the front of the town; it read "Welcome Princess Celestia and Luna", with a sun on one side and a moon on the other.

"It looks wonderful Twilight" Fluttershy said in her quiet voice. She was a yellow pegasus with long light pink mane and tail. Her flank had the picture of three pink butterflies.

"Ya, especially with the pinky pie confetti cannon" Pinkie pie laughed as she set off her special cannon. She was a light pink earth pony with dark pink poufy mane and tail. Her flank had three balloons on it.

The girls laughed as Pinky set off her cannon, all the pony's gathered in the square to welcome Celestia and Luna. The royal cart could be seen flying toward Ponyville. It's gold and silver cart with the white Pegasus pulling it. Princess Celestia was a pure white unicorn and Pegasus with long flowing rainbow mane and tail. She had a sun as her cutie mark and a golden crown. Luna was a dark blue Pegasus and unicorn, smaller than her sister Celestia. She had a long flowing light blue mane and tail. Her flank had the image of a moon and she wore a blue crown.

"Princess Celestia" Twilight ran over to her mentor, nodding to Princess Luna who nodded back.

"Twilight, my faithful student, it's so good to see you and your friends" Celestia said. Everyone bowed before her. Another cart landed on the ground, pitch as black and pulled by two Pegasus guards.

"Twilight Sparkle and friends, this is our long lost sister" Luna turned toward her sister. She was a pitch black unicorn and Pegasus with long flowing black with red streaked mane and tail. Her eyes were dark red cat eyes, she had a red and black crown and a transforming cutiemark.

"Twilight Sparkle and friends meet Princess Dusk" Luna said as she walked up to the ponies.

"Nice to meet you" Dusk looked around Ponyville. Looking back at the main 6, they were staring up at her with wonder, delight, and fear.

"I'm Twilight Sparkle and this is Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie pie, Rainbowdash and Spike" she pointed to each of her friends who gave a hi in reply.

"Nice to meet you all, but my sisters and I have some…catching up" she rolled her eyes and flew onto her carriage.

"Princess Dusk, you're going to stay in Ponyville for a week and will not be returning to the palace until then" Princess Celestia and Princess Luna flew onto their shared carriage.

"I will be sending Princess Cadence and Shining Armor to assist you if needed" Celestia motioned for the Pegasus guards to return to the palace.

"But Princess, what are we supposed to do with Dusk?" Twilight yelled into the sky.

"You'll know what to do, trust me" Celestia yelled back to Twilight. She sighed and turned to her friends.

"Ok girls, time to get Princess Dusk a place to stay" her friends nodded and looked around.

"Where is Princess Dusk first" Fluttershy whispered. The girls looked at eachother then around Ponyville square for the Princess.

A large black and red snake slithered around the square causing ponies to yelp and jump around. The mane 6 sighed and trotted over to the princess.

"Come on" Applejack grabbed the snake by the tail and yanked it out from a crate of apples. The snake stared at the girls before turning back into Princess Dusk.

"Another princess before us, but I see that she is a fuss" Zecora bowed before Princess Dusk. Zecora was a gray and white zebra with a short mane and a long tale. She had neck rings and bracelets along with one earing. Her cutie mark was a gray spiral sun.

"Zacora, you're here" Rainbow dash turned to face the zebra.

"Your princess is of darkness I see. I do hope she doesn't make us pony folk flee" the zebra looked at all the houses with closed doors and windows. Ponies were terrified at the new princess.

"She's special Zecora, but we need help controlling her transformations" the purple unicorn turned to Princess Dusk who was now a wolf and consuming all of the food.

"I cannot help you on this quest for you must learn what is best" and with that the zebra disappeared into the everfree forest.

"Well that was helpful" Rainbow dash rolled her eyes and flew over to Dusk, Apple jack followed suit and the two tried to control Princess Dusk in her wolf form.

"Spike, please take a note" Twilight said in a nervous voice as she watched the two friends get beat by the princess.

Spike pulled out a quill and paper, ready to start writing whatever the purple unicorn asked him to.

Dear Princess Celestia,

Are you crazy to leave us with her? She's going crazy and is transforming like crazy over here in Ponyville. All the ponies and fillies are too scared of her to come out of their homes. Why did you leave her here for a WEEK and what are we supposed to do with her till then?

Twilight Sparkle

The dragon rolled up the letter and blew a green fire on it, sending it to the castle where the princess would hopefully get the letter.

(Royal Castle)

The green smoke appeared in front of Celestia and Luna. Using her magic, Celestia opened the letter and read it then showing it to her sister. She levitated a quill and paper, writing back to her student and her friends.

My dearest student Twilight,

I'm not crazy to leave her in Ponyville with you for a week. The fillies and ponies will come out once they get to know her, remember Zecora? I did leave our sister with you for a week and will not be back till then to get her. Have her MAKE SOME FRIENDS! Her transformations can be kept under control using a special potion, I'm sure Zecora knows how to make it.

Princess Celestia and Princess Luna

Luna and Celestia combined their magic to send the letter back, hoping it would help them.

"Luna, I need you to find Princess Cadence and Shining Armor. I'm sending them to help Twilight and her friends" Celestia said, Luna nodded and flew to the Crystal Palace where the two have been keeping an eye on things since King Sombra's attack.

(Ponyville)

"AJ, you need some help?" Twilight asked the earth pony.

"Nope, I got it under control sugarcube" she pulled on the wolve's tail causing her to howl and spin around.

The letter appeared a second later, Spike read it to Twilight who told her friends.

"The Everfree forest?" the yellow pegasus's eyes got wide with fear and she started to shreek. She flew to her cottage and stayed there, but not for long.

"Come now darlings, to Zacora's" Rarity started walking to Zacora's, Pinkie pie hopping and the others right behind. Fluttershy flew to their side.

"Fluttershy, you made it" Pinkie pie bounced. She nodded her head slightly.

"I just didn't want you girls going all alone into the scary…creepy…frightening…ever…free…forest" she gulped and started to turn around, but Rainbow dash stopped her.

"On no you don't" the blue Pegasus pushed her yellow Pegasus further into the forest.

Sorry it was so long, but I had a lot to say. It may not be my best work, but it's something.

The ponies stood in front of Zecora's hut. It was made of a tree and had masks from her village decorating the outside. They walked into her hut; it was also lined with masks and herbs for her potions. In the middle was a cauldron over a fire and Zecora was standing on her head on a stick.

"Zecora" Applejack called to the zebra. She fell over onto the ground. Once getting to her feet she looked at the ponies.

"Does your princess give you fear my dear?" she asked.

"Zecora, Celestia said that you could make a potion to control Princess Dusk's transformations" the purple unicorn said. Zecora nodded and moved her herbs and remedies.

"Ah, I do not have the potion you seek for the ingredients have been missing for a week" she said in rhyme.

The ponies turned to Applejack and stared at her.

"Why ah you guys starin at me?" she asked.

"Applebloom? Did she visit Zecora's?" Rarity asked. She shook her head, but realized something.

"Actually she did say something about goin to find their potion making cutie mark. Ah thought they already tried that, but ah guess not" she said. The ponies nodded as in 'cased closed' and turned back to Zecora.

"I will go and get the ingredients for the brew but it will take a week or two" she grabbed her saddle back and packed it with supplies.

"What are we supposed to do till then?" Rainbow dash asked. She flew over to Zecora and stopped her from packing.

"Let the princess stay with you and get to know you and the little crusaders too" the zebra slung her saddle bag over her back and walked out of her hut.

"Who's going to take her first?" Fluttershy asked quietly. The ponies looked at each other and nodded no to each other. They turned to Fluttershy, her eyes widened in fear.

"WHAT! Why can't one of you take her first instead?" she asked a little louder.

"You're the best with people and animals Fluttershy. You reformed Discord, you can help the princess" Twilight walked out of the hut and back toward Ponyville, the others close behind her. Fluttershy was still frozen stiff so the blue Pegasus had to push her all the way through the forest and to her cottage.

"Did we forget something?" Applejack asked as they continued to walk back. They thought for a moment before realizing.

"THE PRINCESS!" they all said in unison. Running toward Ponyville they found it turned upside down. Snakes, spiders, scorpion's creatures of the dark crawled around. Doors and windows were boarded up and the mayor locked in a cage.

"Do you like it dear? I find it calming" she laughed. The mayor whimpered in her cage, but the princess nudged the cage to quiet her.

"Turn Ponyville back to normal" the purple unicorn demanded.

"You have no right to do what you want to our town" the blue Pegasus yelled in her face.

"Don't I? Celestia said to do what I want to make myself at home" she used her magic to turn the houses into Cobra's. Ponies screamed as they tried to make a run for it, but walls came up surrounding and trapping the citizens of Ponyville.

"Let them go. They didn't do anything wrong" Pinkie Pie protested. Dusk laughed as the walls grew in size.

"Fluttershy, do something" Twilight whispered to her yellow Pegasus friend.

"Ummm…ok" she flew meekly to the princess and gulped.

"Excuse me" she whispered.

"You dare to interrupt me" she bellowed.

"Well…it's just…" she whimpered in fear of the princess. Dusk glared at her then decided to play along.

"Just what?" she demanded. She slammed a hoof down on her chair.

"Well…don't you need a break from all your ruling? You could come to my house to rest" she said meekly.

"I could use a break" Dusk flew down from her chair and landed on the cobble stone. She started to walk toward Fluttershy's cottage.

"Nice going" Applejack mused. The animal pony looked down at the ground and shuffled it with her hoof. She started toward her cottage to find something she didn't quite expect. Her house was spinning in the air; all the plants were dead and wilting, her animals starving and thirst. In a panic the yellow Pegasus flew up to her spinning cottage and rushed inside. On her couch, which was the only thing NOT spinning, was the Princess spinning her pet bunny Angle around like a fares wheel.

"Oh my. Oh, Angle" she cried out. Dusk continued spinning Angle around; oblivious to the fact that Fluttershy was around.

"So nice to see you dear. Thanks again for letting me stay here" she said sarcastically. Rolling her eyes she used her magic to levitate some more animals and spin them as well.

"Please stop" she whispered.

"Stop?" she dropped all the animals on the ground. The pony gasped as her friends hit the ground.

"Haven't you loved anyone in your life?" she picked up Angle and cuddled her. The alicorn was speechless. She motioned for the Pegasus to sit on the couch and she did as told.

"No" she whispered.

"Oh" was all fluttershy could say.

"Do you want to talk about it?" she asked the princess.

"To ummm…take some of the stress away?" she hoped that Dusk wasn't too mad about her asking.

"Well..." she started.

~FLASHBACK~

Dusk was sitting in her room doing her homework as usual. She was stuck on a question in a subject she never got. Trotting to her father's room levitating the paper with magic she pushed open his door. Her father was a light blue unicorn with orange spiked mane and tail. His cutie mark was money because he was a tax horse.

"Daddy, I need help" Dusk placed the paper on her father's desk of growing papers. He frowned and looked at her paper.

"No dear, I'm busy with another angry customer" he gave the paper back to her and began to punch numbers into a machine.

Dusk sighed and trotted down the stairs to her mother who was in the kitchen making dinner. Her mother was a light pink Pegasus with chocolate swirled mane and tail. Her cutie mark was a mixing bowl because she was a professional baker.

"Mommy, can you help me?" she put the paper on the counter where her mom was making a cake for an important wedding in a few hours.

"Sorry sweaty, I'm behind schedule on this cake order" she continued to mix cake batter. Dusk sighed and took herself and the homework back to her room. She sat on her bed, crumpled up her homework and threw it across the wall.

"Why doesn't anyone make time for me anymore? Why don't I get any help anymore?" she mumbled. School was going to start again the next day from their vacation. Dusk decided to forget about homework and try to get some sleep.

The sun rose bright and early the next day. Dusk bounded out of bed and made breakfast. Her parents were reading the morning paper not bothering to help their daughter get ready for school.

"Bye mom, bye dad" she called out to them in a cheery and sing song voice. No reply, just the noise of the paper being turned. She sighed and flew off to school. She didn't like being back at school, she had a lot of enemies that made fun of her being different.

"Hey doofus" a colt called. He was an orange Pegasus with long brown mane and tail. His cutie mark was a weight for being captain of the wrestling team and lifting heavy objects.

"What do you want Pacer?" she asked him. Dusk continued to walk up to the school.

"Here, its top secret" Hunter handed her a piece of paper. Hunter was a gray colt with green slicked mane and tail. His cutie mark was a bow and arrow.

Dusk grabbed the paper and opened it to find it blank. She dropped the paper and looked to her blank flank. All the ponies and colts around her laughed. Dusk blushed, anger rose up in her and the next thing she knew…Hunter was lying on the ground bruised, battered, and bloody. Pacer was next to him also bruised, battered and bloody. They both had teeth marks in their legs and neck.

She walked to a puddle of water and saw not her freaky self, but a blue wolf with black highlights. She didn't know what to think, she tried to turn back. A snake was the next thing she saw. It took her many attempts until she could turn back.

"What happened?" she wondered. She saw the two bullies on the ground and a glowing coming from behind her. She turned around, but saw noting. Everyone was oohing and ahing.

"My cutie mark" she exclaimed when she finally saw it. She couldn't believe it when it finally appeared. 'I could have some fun with this power' she thought as she gave evil glances to the ponies and colts around her.

"Back off or you turn into them" she pointed to Hunter and Pacer who looked lifeless on the ground, but still alive.

Sorry it's really long, but I had a lot to say. I wanted to continue writing the flashback, but it's a two parter since it's late at night.

Hey everyone. I know I haven't posed a chapter in a long time, but I've been busy with the homework rush and I started the un-put-down able Twilight book. It's very good by the way for those who haven't read it. Hope you all like this chapter :)

The fillies backed away in fear of Dusk's new power and strength. The teacher came out and she got detention for her actions, but she didn't care. Her powers allowed her to sneak out of it without being noticed. She flew back to her home where her parents wouldn't care about what had happened.

"Mom, Dad. I got my cutie mark" she exclaimed a big grin on her face.

"That's nice dear" her mother turned the channel on their TV.

"Don't you have homework" her dad said angrily. He was reading the paper in his favorite chair.

"You don't even care" she mumbled as she walked up to her room. Dusk let her saddle bag drop to the floor as she took out her homework. She didn't really want to do it, and she knew her parents wouldn't care if she did it or not. She looked out the window at the sun setting over the horizon. The sky's pinks and blues calmed her while the yellows and oranges made her feisty.

"What I wouldn't do to be a princess" she said out loud. She watched the two princesses lower the sun and raise the moon. Dusk sighed and closed her window; she sat back on her bed and looked up at the ceiling.

"I bet it's great to be royalty. No homework or chores, no one to make you feel sad and alone or to ignore you every day" she thought about how great it would be to become a princess. A knock was on the door causing her to snap out of her day dream and back into reality.

"WHAT IS THIS!" her father slammed a piece of paper on her bed causing her to jump a little.

"It's a piece of paper" she huffed. Her father glared at her and her mother just shrugged when she asked for help.

"IT'S A PIECE OF PAPER" he mocked. "IT'S NOT JUST A PIECE OF PAPER, IT'S A DETENTION NOTICE THAT SLIPPED OUT OF YOU'RE SADDLE BAG" he snapped. Tears formed at the corners of Dusk's eyes, her mother didn't even interfere, instead she smiled as her husband, and her daughter's father was screaming his head off at his daughter, and his wife's daughter.

"You don't seem to care about me or my life and now you just suddenly become interested?" she snapped. He just shook his head and walked out of the room saying nothing. Dusk buried her face in her pillow crying her eyes out until she fell asleep. She woke up at night and looked over at her alarm clock; 1:45 am. It was the next day, Saturday and she didn't want to stick around any longer. She grabbed her saddle bag and filled it with things she would need for her trip. She didn't know where she was going, but she was going somewhere. Dusk quietly tip toed out of the house and ran toward the train station that would take her to Canterlot from there.

"Ticket" the man said. She handed him her ticket and boarded the train. In a few hours the train stopped in Canterlot and Dusk stepped out into the city of cifisticated and high class ponies. She walked the streets until she came to a large mansion like house that belonged to her aunt and uncle.

"Aunt Petunia, Uncle Bluebell" Dusk called out. Petunia was a light blue unicorn with white and blue swirled mane and tail pulled up into an elegit up do. She wore an expensive, one of a kind designer dress and her cutie mark was a dark blue petunia. Bluebell was a dark blue unicorn with slicked back blue and white swirled mane and tail. He also wore expensive, one of a kind designer suit and his cutie mark was a bluebell. They smiled and walked her inside; their butler, Henry, took her saddle bag and placed it in an empty room upstairs. She sat in a blue and white lilac printed chair, tea levitated in front of her. She sniffed it, jasmine tea; her favorite.

"Sorry for not calling earlier, but I just had to leave" she sipped her tea quietly. They just nodded in understandment. A knock on the door broke the silence and Henry opened it to reveal a stunning orange Pegasus with long pink and orange mane and tail. Her cutie mark was a feather with beautiful pinks, gold's, and yellows as if it were a painting. Dusk jumped to her feet and ran to greet the Pegasus.

"Colorblossom. It's been so long" she said.

"I heard you were in the city and decided to come by" she walked in and sat in a pink and blue swirled chair with pearls encrusted on the sides.

"I'm glad you came, I just arrived here though" they both laughed. A memory book floated into the room and was placed on the glass table. Petunia and Bluebell sat on the rose printed couch and waited for the two to stop laughing.

"What's the book for aunt Petunia?" Dusk examined the book, flipping it this way and that.

"It's a memory book. Your family was supposed to tell you this once you were old enough, but I guess they didn't bother" Bluebell explained. She sighed and waited as the book opened to the first page.

"This is a letter, written in a language only royal descendants are able to understand" her aunt handed her the letter and Dusk examined it carefully before reading it to herself.

Tears escaped her eyes as she read and re-read the letter before reading it aloud so that they could understand it.

"What happened to them?" she asked. No one spoke for a long time.

"They became part of the sun and moon" Bluebell looked up at the moon that had just appeared.

"So, you're telling me I have a sister…make that two sisters that I didn't even know about and not only that, I'm a princess!" she yelled to them. They meekly nodded their heads in reply. Dusk turned into a saber-toothed tiger, she needed to get all the anger out of her system. She lunged at someone and started to dig her claws into the poor pony. Once she was done, she turned back and realized what had happened.

"COLORBLOSSOM!" she yelled to her friend whose blood stained the floors. Tears escaped her eyes, but she didn't hold them back this time.

"Why?" she asked. Dusk hung her head and flew out the open window toward the castle. The letter was still with her, but she needed to talk to the only REAL family she had left. She landed at the entrance and started to walk to the door, but was stopped by two guards.

"No entry allowed unless granted by Princess Celesita or Luna" one of them said. She sighed and showed them the official stamp on the letter. They seemed to notice the name of the former rulers and allowed her entrance. Once inside, she walked the long hall until she reached the doors to the throne room. Carefully, she opened the doors and saw the two princesses.

"May I help you?" Celestia asked her. She gulped and bowed before them, then handed her the letter. After reading it over and passing it to Luna they stepped down and shooed everyone out of the room.

"Mother and father have told of you. They said you would come back" Luna said. Her sister nodded and brought her into their bedroom to talk some more. Tears streamed her face some more and she froze where she was.

"Is everything alright?" the white alicorn asked. She shook her head and sat on one of the pillows.

"I almost killed my best friend" she whispered almost so that they couldn't hear her.

"We're really sorry, but we must talk about this letter" the blue alicorn closed the doors and the letter lay open to the three.

"All royal descendants have the royal mark. A golden crown on the bottom of their left hoof" Celestia showed Dusk her mark and Luna followed sync. Dusk sighed and laid her hoof out, nothing was there.

"Sometimes a spell will cover something like this" Luna said. Both princesses used their magic to break the spell. A blue and yellow swirled light glowed around Dusk, then the light disappeared and dust fell all around them sticking to Dusk's hoof. Once it was gone, the royal mark took its place.

"Whoever took you wanted to make sure you never saw the mark" Celestia said.

"A coronation will be held tomorrow for the new princess" Luna and Celestia rose and walked out, leaving Dusk to examine her hoof and then leave the room as well.

~END FLASHBACK~

"The coronation was the next day and Colorblossom never forgave me. No one ever loved me or cared about me so I never loved any one back. Pain and suffering were the only things that made me happy" Dusk said in a low voice.

"Oh" Fluttershy whispered. A knock on the door made both of them jump a bit, they weren't expecting anyone. The yellow Pegasus flew over to the door and opened it to reveal Applebloom. She was a yellow earth filly with a red mane and tail. She had a giant pink bow in her mane, but no cutie mark.

"Get her away" Dusk commanded and flew to the ceiling. Fluttershy and Applebloom looked at each other in confusion, but shrugged it off.

"What can I do for you applebloom?" the Pegasus asked.

"Applejack needs more apples for apple pies" she said.

"Don't you have lots of apple trees?" she asked.

"We do, but we ran out. We got many orders, more than last time" she said. Fluttershy flew to her cabinet and gave her two big bags of apples. Applebloom thanked her and trotted back to Sweet apple acres.

"What happened?" the Pegasus asked. Dusk flew down and stood in front of the Pegasus making her whimper in fear.

"I was afraid to…do what I did to my friend" she admitted. The Pegasus fed the animals and took care of some chores. Before long it was dark and all the critters were sleeping soundly.

"Get some sleep princess, tomorrow you go to Twilight's" the pony walked up the stairs to her room. Dusk sighed and lies on the floor and soon fell into a deep sleep. Nothing could wake her.

I'm sorry for having to write this to you, but I knew I wouldn't be able to tell you this. You were born into the royal family of Canterlot. Celestia and Luna and are your sisters and ou were to be told this once you got old enough to hear it, but if you're reading this letter you probably wern't told. Your father and I had you, Luna and Celestia, but it didn't go so great. Luna became nightmare moon and had to be locked in the moon, you were taken from us by dark forces that are still unkown to Canterlot. We trapped the force underground and you were taken somewhere, but not far for we knew you would be safe where ever you landed. Your father and I are so sorry we didn't tell you earlier, but you were just too young to understand it all. We love you very much and hope you will understand.

Hey everyone, here is a new chapter. I know I haven't posted one in like three months, but I hope this makes up for it. It's so short I know, but I wanted to get a new chapter posted ASAP.

Guest-I guess the royal language does remind me of Latin or something.

Mossflower44-I like that the imagry of Dusk/me was really well though out in your head. That's what I was going for. Dusk doing her homework was something I needed to think of to show how her parents did care for her. Glad you're liking it so far, hope you like this chapter too.

Dusk woke to the sun shining over her. Her body glittered and looked like little mirrors all against her body. She stood and started for Twilights. She didn't want to wake up the Pegasus. Dusk walked down the winding roads of Ponyville, ponies, colts, and fillies bowed when she passed. She gave a small smile toward them as she continued to walk. Dusk stood in front of the large tree that was Twilight's home. She knocked on the door and a small green and purple baby dragon opened the door, but quickly slammed it shut in the alicorn's face.

"Spike that wasn't very nice" the purple unicorn said from the other side of the door.

"No no, he had a right to it" she walked in and made herself at home. The unicorn was surprised by this. Just the other day she was taking over Ponyville and now she was saying it was OK to slam a door in her face.

"Are you alright?" she asked. Dusk didn't speak only a mere yes or no to some questions. She supposed that she had to tell them and the rest of the ponies the story of her life, since she needed their trust and that was about the only way to do it.

"I'm actually not quite sure. When I was at the Pegasus's yesterday, I told her everything about my past which is what I'm about to tell you and everyone else" she said. The purple unicorn sat next to her and listened to her story. Twilight was amazed by how much this alicorn could remember from her past and how much it scared her. She understood why she was so afraid of the Crusaders and why she didn't want to be around them.

"I didn't know, but a good book always cheers me up" the unicorn summoned the baby dragon to grab an assortment of books from the shelves. He held a pile of books stacked high that looked like it was about to fall. Dusk levitated all the books and neatly stacked them on the ground. Spike was still suspicious of the princess, but he was growing to trust her.

"You can read any of these and there's plenty of more in the back. I'm just going to Rarity's for a while" she walked out the door, the dragon hopped on her back hoping to get to see the lovely Rarity. Dusk wished them a safe trip before levitating the book again and scanning the covers of each one. Magic for beginners, magic for pros, magic for advanced, magic for the impaired, equestrian founded, ponyville founded, history of ponies…Nothing caught Dusk's eye since they were all history or magic related books.

"There must be something to read" she pushed open the back room where more books were stacked and skimmed the titles. Magic, magic and more magic. She sighed and was about to give up when a large dark blue and gold encrusted tome stuck out of the book shelf to her left. She cautiously walked up to it and pulled it out. It had no title or author, just the light blue and gold trim around it. She walked back to where she was and lay the book down. Dusk placed all the other books back in their spots before lying on the ground and staring at the closed tome.

"I wonder what's in here" she tried to open the tome with her magic, but it didn't work. She tried everything, even burning the cover off, but to no avail it didn't open. She flipped the book over multiple times and noticed a slot in the side of it. It was slender and long…long enough for a unicorn to slide their horn into it. She carefully slid her horn into the opening and a clicking sound signaled that she had opened the book. The pages turned and words appeared on the pages. She looked at the first page and saw this wasn't a book, but a diary.

January 3, 1708

My name is not to be spoken, but I have a spiky caramel colored mane and tail. My eyes are a golden honey color and my cutie mark is a crown with a sword through it. I don't know what it means and I never have. I don't even remember when or how I got it. Anyway, today I am visiting my aunt and uncle in Canterlot. They are going to be excited to see me. Last time I saw them I was only a filly, four I think. Now I'm a full grown colt ready to explore the world. I walked to their door and they greeted me like normal, hugs, affection and tea. Once I was in bed I listened to the busy sounds of the streets and everyone still up having a good time, but I knew something was wrong. I could feel it. My mane was sticking on end, so I opened a window, but this only frightened me more than before. The lights on the streets were going dim and the castle was too dark to see. I felt like I was being swallowed in darkness, the light was vanishing into this air and the cold touch of air nipping at my face was all that I could feel. I decided to shut the window and try and get some rest, but that thought was still nagging at my head.

The door clicked open as Twilight and Spike came in. Dusk hid the book in her saddle bag so she wouldn't notice.

"Twilight, do you wind if I borrow a book?" she asked. The unicorn un-packed her things as spike went to make something to eat. She turned to the princess who was standing a few feet away.

"Of cores, I don't mind. I'm glad you found something interesting to read" she said. Dusk nodded and headed to a spare room Twilight had made for her. It wasn't really an extra room, more of the extra library space.

"Hey Twili" someone called out from the door. Dusk opened the door to find a unicorn and alicorn in the large library space. The unicorn was white with a light and dark blue main and tail. He had a shield with three white stars as his cutie mark. The alicorn was a light pink with yellow, pink and purple curly main and tail. She had a small gold crown and a crystal heart as her cutie mark.

"Shining Armor, Cadence" the purple unicorn called out to them. Twilight and Shining Armor hugged before the unicorn turned to face the alicorn.

"Sun shine, sun shine lady bug awake, clap your hooves and do a little shake" the two hopped on their hooves, covered their eyes and clapped their hooves together before shaking their flanks in the air. They laughed and Dusk walked out of her room.

"Celestia said that you two were coming soon, but I didn't expect today" the purple unicorn said. Everyone laughed and turned to Dusk.

"Ah, Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor of the Crystal Empire" she bowed before them. They nodded to her and turned to Twilight.

"Do you guys want to go somewhere?" the prince suggested. Everyone else nodded and they headed out the door for a stroll through Ponyville. All the ponies were bowing in respect to the two princesses and prince. They stopped at a small restaurant for something to eat while Shining and Cadence were in town.

"How long are two staying for?" the unicorn asked as they ordered daffodil and hay sandwiches.

"We're here for as long as you need us Twili" Shining Armor told her. The food arrived and they ate in silence for a while. The sun was shining high in the sky over Ponyville. The rays twinkled in the sky causing all the buildings to glisten. All the fillies, colts and ponies were out having fun in the afternoon sun.

"Where are we going now?" Dusk asked once they had finished eating. They walked a while more through the streets and stopped at a few places that Twilight had described to her brother in letters, but never really got to show him in person.

"Should we be getting back soon?" the pink alicorn asked. The purple unicorn looked into the sky to see the sun going down over the horizon and the moon rising to signal the night time's arrival. They headed back toward the library to settle down for the night.

"Shining Armor, you and Cadence can take my room if you want. Spike and I can sleep out here, we don't mind…right Spike?" she looked to the baby dragon who stared at her.

"But Twilight, do we have to give up that room. It's my favorite spot in the whole house" the dragon whined. The unicorn shushed him before turning back toward her brother and "sister".

"It's alright Twilight, Shining Armor and I can sleep out here instead" the alicorn said. Twilight shook her head and levitated all their things to the large library space and set out some fresh sheets for her guests.

"Spike you'll be fine for a few days…right?" she glared at him. He sighed and curled up in his basket, covering himself with his cream colored blanket.

"Let's all get some sleep then we can spend more time tomorrow" the black alicorn said. Everyone nodded and headed for bed. Dusk walked to the small space made for her and shut the door before levitating the book she was reading before toward her. She opened to the next page and started reading the next passage. Little did she know, the diary contained an ancient curse if she kept reading to a certain point.

Hope everyone likes this chapter, and I know it's so short. Shining Armor, Cadence, and Twilight may seem to be ignoring Dusk but they haven't seen each other since Cadence and Shining Armor got married and started watching over the Crystal Empire.
