Crystal Empire Side-Story

Summary: Side story to the Crystal Kingdom part 1 and 2. The Magix Girls, Tails, Jack, and Alyssa go help the mane six save a Crystal Kingdom but some of them have problems; Tails and Erin are arguing, SG is holding a grudge since the wedding, and Jack is infected by King Sombra's crystals.

At Erin's house, she was trying on some big fancy hats Rarity gave her. She puts one on with feathers in it and examines.

"Nah!" Erin shook her head, throwing it on the ground. She puts one that Rarity wore at the Wonderbolt's Derby with Fancy Pants. "No way!"

As Erin put one on with a veil in front of her face her phone ring. Erin picks the phone up and answers as she puts it on speaker.

"Hello?" Erin asked, taking the hat off.

"Hi Erin, it's me." Tails' voice called.

"Oh hi Tails." Erin replied happily, putting a small top hat with see-through fabric ribbons.

"What are you doing right now?"

"Trying on some new hats."

"Why?"

"Trying out a new look. It was Rarity's idea."

"Oh. Can we talk about us?"

"Sure."

"Can you stop going on adventures so we can spend more time with each other?"

"Oh, ok. After I visit Ponyville we can go to Sweet Apple Acres for some…"

"What? I specifically told you to stop going on your trips."

"You said adventures, you didn't say trips."

"That's the problem with you Erin, you visit places and meet new people and never spend time with me!"

"That's not true! I love you still, I dated you still."

"When was our last date together?"

Erin was silent as she thinks for a minute.

"At the wedding and after I rescued you from Evil Sonic with Gibson, Ed, and Sora."

"Oh, those two…"

"Erin, I miss you. I'm tired of telling you its ok and waiting for you."

"I'm sorry Tails."

"Well I'll let go my anger due because you are sensitive but if you go on another adventure, we're through!"

Erin gasped silently, shaking sensitively.

"Well… if you have any plans let me know. Bye."

After the phone hung up, Erin slowly turns her phone away. She was shaking and sweating like crazy. She puts her hand near her cheek to think of an idea for their perfect non-adventurous date. If it isn't then she and Tails are through! Suddenly her phone burst up and magical pop out a letter making Erin scream and fall into the pile of hats. Erin got out and saw the letter. She grabs the letter and reads it.

"Erin, please come to Ponyville immediately, it is very important. Bring SG, her brother, the girls, Alyssa, and you're boyfriend along. I need all the encouragement I need for an important test." Erin reads. She gulps as she held her chest. Another adventure? Oh man, Tails is gonna kill her. "Another adventure? Oh man, Tails is gonna kill me!" Isn't that what I just said? "I await for your arrival. Sign Twilight Sparkle."

Erin drops the letter with nervousness. She bites her down lip thinking of something. What's she going to do? Tell Tails it's another adventure and have their love torn apart or not go and disappoint Twilight or make a fake excuse for Tails it's a exciting date? What to do, what to do? Erin snaps her fingers making a decision.

"I'm going to tell Tails it's a date and an encouragement for Twilight's test and call my friends!" Erin grabbed her phone and called SG first. "SG? Grab your charm and brother, we're going to Ponyville!"

Erin and SG arrived in Ponyville with Jack (SG's brother), Alyssa, Candace, Akira, Hibiki, Kanade, Hummy, Kitty, Kim, Konata, Wendy, Louise, Miyuki, Ami, Yumi, and Tails.

Erin is wearing an oversized half magenta, half pink shirt with purple sleeves, blue jeans, and black boots. Alyssa is wearing a red jumper over pink short sleeve frilly shirt, pink stockings and black Mary Jane's.

Tails is not too happy right now as Erin titled her hat. Her hat is a sun hat like Rairty's only it was wisteria-colored with a lavender pink ribbon, a turquoise gem incest by a golden rim within the ribbon. Erin nervously hummed Josie and the Pussycats Theme. SG and Alyssa notice as they went to Erin.

"Erin-senpai, what's wrong?" Alyssa asked.

"Me and Tails got into an argument." Erin answer.

"That's very bad."

"Oh no. That's not good, you and Tails-onii-chan are so close, you guys never break up or argue." Alyssa said. "What happen?"

Erin looks at Tails who is talking to Jack. Erin took her hat which her ponytail pop up back into a high ponytail quick, went to SG's and Alyssa's ear, cover their faces, and Erin whispers. After that Erin puts her back on revealing Alyssa and SG's shock faces.

"Uh-oh!" SG and Alyssa gasped.

Erin nodded,, tilting her hat down.

"Hey, where's Mavis?" Wendy asked.

Suddenly they hear rustling in the bushes making everyone jump and prepare for what's gonna happen. Then a computer with arms and wheels for legs appeared. Mavis's body appeared on the screen.

"Hey girls." Mavis on the screen called.

"Mavis?" Everyone asked.

"Mavis?" Alyssa, Tails, and Jack asked.

"Hi, I'm Mavis. You must Erin and SG's friends." Mavis said to Tails and Alyssa. When she saw Jack she freaked out. "Holy rabies, holy rabies! It's Jack Skellington! It's very nice to meet you!"

"Mavis, look at you. You look more and more like your mother everyday." Jack told her smiling. "How's Drac?"

"Dad? He's fine." Mavis answered. She then went to the girls. "Girls, sorry I couldn't come due to being bright and sunny in Ponyville. So Kim install this computer so I can contact you girls. After all I am a vampire."

"Oh Mavis." SG sighed.

"Hey don't sweat it. Maybe you can find a magic item or something as we travel." Mavis said as the arms do her arm movements.

"Ok, let's go." Alyssa smiled.

As everyone arrived in Ponyville, they found Twilight's library tree.

"Whoa, it's amazing!" Mavis said in awe.

"Yeah it's a beauty," Kanade smiled.

Suddenly magic burst and explode as the library tree went up in the air with Twilight's growl in frustration. When the tree landed, the group fell over.

"What the heck-?" Akira asked.

The mane six came out and saw the group.

"Let me guess…" SG asked until all of them asked, "Twilight!"

"Yes!" The mane six replied together.

Erin, Alyssa, SG, and Spike are waiting outside for Twilight while the others are at the train station.

"Erin, I'm sure Tails will come around." SG told Erin who looks upset. "You don't have to be with him all the time."

"That's just it. I don't hang with him a lot anymore as well as Alyssa so I decided to hang out with him and Alyssa more by proving their important." Erin explained.

"I know, senpai." Alyssa said, patting Erin's shoulder.

"Tails will come and go."

"Doubt it." Erin sighed with doubt.

"Yeah maybe everyone will think Twilight will do fine unlike the wedding incident." SG growled.

Spike sighed, "SG, let it go!"

The door open and Spike jumped up with excitement but Twilight has her head lowered.

"Ah! Twilight! That was fast! Let me guess, you got a perfect score?" Spike asked, poking her nose.

Twilight just walked away, confusing Spike and the girls.

"A-minus?" Spike asked. No answer making his arm go down. "B-plus?"

Twilight just stopped with her head down sadly. Spike gasped hoping it's not what he thinks it is?

"Twilight, did you…" Spike looks around left to right. "(quietly) fail?"

Erin and SG gasped while Alyssa half-fainted but Erin grabbed her and pushed her up. Twilight turns to Spike and the girls for a bit. A song begins to play as she sings and walks off.

Spike gets up quick and follows her with a smile. The girls smiled at each other and followed them.

Twilight: I was prepared to do my best

Thought I could handle any test

For I can do so many tricks

But I wasn't prepared for this

We view Canterlot castle and town. Now we see ponies walking by minding their business. Twilight, Spike, Erin, Alyssa, and SG walk by a tea shop. The waiter gave a female blue pony tea. Twilight's magic lifted the cup and pot to pour tea from the pot to the cup.

Twilight: Levitation would have been a breeze

Facts and figures I recite with ease

Twilight sat down and recite a figure, "The square root of five hundred and forty-six is twenty-three point three six six six four two eight nine one zero nine."

Next to her inside the building, the teacher wrote all of Twilight's numbers.

"She is correct!" The teacher said.

Spike's eyes widen and Erin and SG whistled with impression.

"You can whistle that again." Alyssa spoke.

Erin and SG whistled with impression again. Twilight picks up Spike and spins him.

Twilight: I could ace a quiz on friendship's bliss

But I wasn't prepared for this

Twilight runs up to an edge of a castle and looks up as the wind blew through her mane and tail.

Will I fail, or will I pass?

I can't be sure...

Spike: She can't be sure...

Twilight used her magic to make her go from the ground to one lily pad, then the next, then the third, and the fourth.

Twilight: My mind is sharp, my skills intact

My heart is pure...

Spike and Alyssa: Her heart is pure...

Twilight is in the town streets, jumping up and flipping her hair. Spike dances ballet and jumps up, Erin, Alyssa, and SG grabbed each other's hand and twirls around like a ribbon and spins around Twilight.

Twilight: Oh, I've taken my share of licks

I've made it through the thin and thick

But no I wasn't

Spike and SG: Oh no, she wasn't

Twilight: Oh no, I wasn't

Spike and Erin: Oh no, she wasn't

Twilight: No I wasn't

Twilight, Spike, Erin, Alyssa, and SG: Prepared... for this!

Twilight finishes her song as she twirls and raised her hoof up and the camera zoomed away from her to view Canterlot like Hunchback of Notre Dame song Out There.

Twilight, with her head lowered again, arrives at the train station with Spike, Erin, SG, and Alyssa. Spike was confused on what Twilight was saying.

"Uh, prepared for what, exactly?" Spike asked.

"Yeah, what?" Alyssa asked, shrugging.

Before Twilight could answer, "Twilight!" Applejack called. She pounces and grabs Twilight's neck. "Did you pass?"

"Yeah did yah?!" Kanade asked, excited.

Pinkie Pie came out knocking Spike and Erin with her party cannon.

"Are we gonna celebrate your awesomeness with Princess Celestia?" Pinkie Pie asked. When the cannon fired, she shoot up with it as well.

"Not quite." Twilight answered.

The streamers and sprinklers rushed back in and Pinkie fell on the ground.

"We're going to the Crystal Empire!" Twilight shouted with determination.

"Huh?" All of them asked, confused.

"Crystal what?" Rainbow Dash asked.

On the train, the ponies sat in one room and the others sat in the other room. Erin and Tails are sitting far from each other. Erin was sadden but Tails was a bit not too happy. The others look concern about it.

"What's with them?" Mavis asked.

"She and Tails are an item." Wendy respond. "Cool huh?"

"What happen?" Kitty asked.

"Senpai and onii-chan got into a fight." Alyssa answered. "He thinks her adventures and missions are more important to her then him."

"No way!" Hibiki and Jack cried.

"Yes way." Alyssa nodded sadly.

"That can't be right." Kim said. "They've been dating for years."

"Well they did in the wedding which some of the mane six should listen to Twilight about Cadance to begin with." SG explained a bit grumpy.

"SG, let it go." Jack told her.

"So glad we weren't involved." Hibiki said. "But in a good way."

"Yeah since we never want to choose sides." Louise said making Hibiki, Kanade, Hummy, Wendy, Kim, Kitty, Louise, Miyuki, Ami, Yumi, and Mavis nodded glad they didn't get involve so they didn't choose sides. "I'm glad we got to meet them before you girls showed up after Twilight's test."

"She didn't pass a test yet." Alyssa spoke.

"Oh right." Louise nodded.

"Still they shoulda listen." SG said.

"SG, let it go!" Alyssa begged.

Erin sighed briefly turning to Tails. She turns back around looking at the snow outside her window.

"Erin, we've been meaning to ask you something." SG asked.

"What is it?" Erin asked.

"What's with the hat?" Alyssa asked. "I thought you don't like fancy schmancy clothes."

Erin looks at her hat as she felt the ribbons.

"Oh, uh… I'm just… trying out a new look, it was Rarity's idea." Erin explained.

Rarity briefly appeared, "RAH-LLY it is!" and zoomed off.

Tails turns to Erin who fixed her hat when it fell. Tails giggled but sadly turns away. Jack notices this and walks to him.

"Tails, you gotta make it up to her somehow. She cares about you more then anything." Jack told him. "I realized Sally was more dear to me when I realized it myself."

"But…"

"Now Tails, don't be modest. Think about Erin instead of her being selfish."

"Erin is never selfish."

"Then keep thinking about that."

Tails nodded as he turns to the sad Erin looking out the window. Tails smiles at her and nods.

The train whistle blows loudly and the strong wind blew. The train stopped at the train station stop. The train doors open for the mane six and others. The wind was blowing hard and it was cold. Luckily for the others they were wearing winter coats; Candace has her red-and-white winter coat, SG has one similar to Candace's only green, Erin is wearing a teal snow hat with dangling sides while holding her sun hat, an oversize Mighty Duck's sports jersey, and snow boots, Alyssa is wearing a pink coat, mittens, scarf, and boots, Akira wears a blueberry-colored sweater with a letter A and matching boots, Hibiki and Kanade are wearing winter coats in their signature colors while Hibiki wore a snow cape and Kanade wore mittens, Wendy is wearing a scarf and over-sized coat, Konata is wearing a blue coat and boots, Kim has a green Club Banana jacket over her purple cargos and black shoes, Kitty just has a scarf and shawl, Ami and Yumi wore the same coats in their signature colors as well, Miyuki has a school jacket over her school uniform, and Louise just has a fuzzy wizards cape/shawl. Jack and Tails for some reason aren't cold and Hummy is in Kanade's pocket. Mavis… well you know the rest. They all came out with Rarity last wearing a pink scarf.

"Ha! And you all made fun of me for packing so many scarves." Rarity laughed.

Spike came out carrying a lot of luggage, grunting. "I didn't say a word." Spike fell down, dropping the luggage which open one with the scarves flying out. Spike try to grab them. "Hey! C'mere… (fades out)"

"Twilight!" A familiar voice cried.

"Shining Armor?" Twilight asked.

"Is that him?" Yumi asked.

A figure appeared wearing a scarf over it's mouth and eyes. It was Shining Armor as he used his magic to put the glasses on his head and took the scarf off his mouth.

"Twily! You made it." Shining Armor smiled.

Shining Armor and Twilight run to each other and hugged. SG and Jack held their hands with smiles adoring this.

"Oh my, he's handesome like a real unicorn prince…" Ami sighed with hearts around her and glittery eyes.

"Back off, he's married." Candace told her.

The hearts shattered as Ami eye widen and nervously spoke, "Oh never mind."

"We better get moving. There are things out here we really don't want to run into after dark." Shining Armor explained.

SG shook like a leaf, "After dark…"

Fluttershy gulped, "What kind of things?"

"Let's just say the empire... isn't the only thing that's returned." Shining Armor finished.

As Spike appeared with the scarves, everyone looked at each other nervously. Hoping he doesn't mean what Shining Armor means he said.

The group keeps walking through the snow, following Shining Armor.

"Who has returned?!" SG asked loudly to let others hear her.

"Something keeps trying to get in! We think it's the unicorn king who originally cursed the place." Shining Armor explained.

"But Princess Celestia said I was being sent here to find a way to protect the empire! If King Sombra can't get in, then it must already be protected." Twilight yelled.

"Okay, for the gazillionth time, WHO THE HECK IS KING SOMBRA!?" Akira screamed at the top of her lungs.

Suddenly a roar rang making everyone stopped in fear.

Fluttershy gasped shaking, "Th-That's one of the things, isn't it?"

"Guh. We have to get to the Crystal Empire. Now." Shining Armor yelled.

A black smoke appeared far behind them making everyone turn around and we see green glowing eyes with red pupils and purple aurora around them. It was King Sombra in dark form. Alyssa screams and holds Erin while Candace and Akira hugged each other like Scooby and Shaggy.

"I guess we're about to find out!" Erin yelled. "RAN LIKE LITTLE GIRLS!"

Spike was shaking like a leaf before Shining Armor used his spell to lift him making him drop the luggage. The shadow, growling, chased after everybody while Alyssa, Akira, and Candace scream like crazy. As they run, Twilight hoist Spike onto her back.

"Go, go!" Twilight yelled.

Everyone keeps running from King Sombra. They saw a blue orb surrounding something up ahead.

"Almost there!" Shining Armor yelled.

As everyone ran off, Shining Armor stopped and used his spell to rid of the shadow but it dodged. Jack and SG notices this as they went to him. SG tries to use her lighting bolts but it dodged her attacks too. It charges at them as Shining Armor's horn glowed. Jack gasped as he grabs SG and tosses her into Erin making them roll into a ball of snow. Jack and Shining Armor got covered by the black shadow.

The mane six runs inside the barrier. Once inside they gasped heavily and stopped. The snow ball burst in and landed in front of everyone. The snow quickly melted revealing SG on top of the dizzy Erin.

Twilight gasps for breath, "Everypony okay?"

Everyone generally agreement while gasping for breath. Erin and SG got up and dusted themselves while Erin panted.

"Why were you tossed at me?" Erin asked.

SG gasped looking around for Jack.

"Where's Jack?!" SG cried.

"And Shining Armor?" Erin looked around.

The barrier glowed as both Shining Armor and Jack fell on the ground. Shining Armor's horn is covered in black crystals and so were Jack's hands.

"Oh no," Twilight gasped running to her brother dropping Spike, "Shining Armor, your horn!"

Shining Armor notice his horn and tries to use his magic but the crystals' magic blocked it with electricity crackling. Shining Armor shook his head meaning he can't do magic with the crystals blocking. Twilight looks sadly as she helped him up and walked off-screen.

"Jack! Jack!" SG cried, running to him and hugged him tightly. She then notices his hands are covered in the same crystals as Shining Armor. "Oh no! Jack, you're hands. Look at your hands."

Jack picks his hands up and saw black crystals. He tries to move them but it made him wince in pain. He shook his head at SG making her sad. She helped him up and walked after the others. Everyone took their winter outfits off to reveal their normal clothes again. Erin puts her sun hat back on.

"Sparklerific!" Pinkie Pie shouted.

Everyone saw the Crystal Empire and it's majestic castle while standing under a gateway with three floating gems.

"The Crystal Empire," Erin gasped with wide eyes as she stared at a beautiful kingdom.

"It's beautiful." Mavis whispered.

"Very sparkly." Alyssa sighed, admiring the crystal made buildings.

The group walks up to the castle as Rarity keeps adoring the empire.

"It's gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous!" Rarity exclaimed. She mumbles incoherently. "There are no words!" she exclaimed again with sparkly eyes.

"Focus, Rarity. We're here to help Twilight, not admire the scenery." Applejack reminded Rarity.

"Eh, I don't see what the big deal is." Rainbow Dash spoke. "Just looks like another old castle to me."

Rarity's mouth gapped open in shock, "A- p- guh! Another old...!" Rarity zoomed up Rainbow Dash's face. "Have you lost your mind? Look at the magni-"

Rainbow Dash started snickering so does Applejack as they hoof-pump and followed everyone upstairs.

"Very funny." Rarity remarked.

Inside, Cadance is sitting on a throne with her horn glowing. She looks tired and weak. She closes her eyes quickly.

"Cadance!" Twilight called, running to her.

Cadance opens her eyes and saw Twilight making her smile. Cadance runs up to Twilight, "Ooh."

"Sunshine, sunshine, ladybugs awake. Clap your hooves and do a little shake!" Cadance and Twilight chanted doing their dance. They laughed together but Cadance's horn was fading making Cadance quickly recovered.

"One of these days we need to get together when the fate of Equestria isn't hanging in the balance." Cadance suggested, sighing.

"Princess Cadance," Alyssa asked. "Is there something wrong with you?"

"Are you okay?" Twilight asked.

"Cadence has been able to use her magic to spread love and light. That seems to be what is protecting it. But she hasn't slept, barely eats." Shining Armor explained making Twilight and Alyssa worry. "I want to help her, but my protection spell has been countered by King Sombra."

Cadance breathes deeply, "It's alright Shining Armor, I'm fine."

"She's not fine. She can't go on like this forever, and if her magic were to fade, well, you saw what's out there waiting for that to happen." Shining Armor finished.

"That's why we're here." Twilight told him.

"Why we're all here." Applejack corrected.

"Mhmm." Everyone nodded as they came up to them.

"Well, with Cadence putting all her strength into keeping her spell going, and me trying to keep an eye on signs of trouble in the arctic, we haven't been able to gather much information from the Crystal Ponies."

"Crystal Ponies? Hahaha, there are Crystal Ponies?!" Rarity asked frantically yanking her hair. Everyone stared at her strangely.

"Really?" Kanade asked.

Rarity notices this and return to her normal stage. "Umm, hmm. Please continue."

"But we have to believe one of them knows how we can protect the empire without having to use Cadence's magic." Shining Armor finished.

Twilight thinks for a moment and blinks an idea, "A research paper!"

"Huh?" Shining Armor asked.

"Excuse me, what?" Erin asked.

"That must be part of my test; to gather information from the Crystal Ponies and deliver it to you! This is gonna be great! I love research papers!" Twilight explained happily.

Rainbow Dash nudges Pinkie Pie and sarcastically remarks, "Yeah, who doesn't?"

"Ohohoh! Lemme guess!" Pinkie Pie asked, going to Spike. "Is it Spike? Nono, Fluttershy! Rarity?"

Erin giggled at Pinkie while half of the others stared blankly at Pinkie.

Twilight held her brother, "Don't worry, big brother. I am really good at this sort of thing."

Shining Armor smiled at her, hopefully.

"Maybe this time you ponies can HELP out with the Shining Armor/Cadance thing instead of not believing Twilight like last time at the wedding." SG remarked sarcastically glaring at the mane six who look surprise.

"SG, let it go!" Applejack groaned in frustration.

Tails looks up at Erin giggling at Pinkie Pie. Tails made a glare but thinks for a moment. Maybe Jack's right Erin is never selfish. But he has to wait and see what happens.

Outside in the Crystal Empire City, Twilight and Spike are outside a house with heart-shaped windows.

"Are you sure? Absolutely sure?" Twilight asked a blue female Crystal Pony.

"I'm sorry. I wish I could help you. But I... can't seem to remember anything before King Sombra came to power." She closes her eyes painfully seeing Sombra's eyes. She opens her eyes quickly. "And I don't want to remember anything about the time he ruled over us." She shudders in pain and fear.

"King Sombra's spell must be why their coats aren't... crystally." Twilight whispered to Spike.

"Have we really been gone a thousand years?"

"Yes."

"It feels like it was just yesterday."

"If you think of anything, even the smallest thing…"

"Of course."

The blue female Crystal Pony walked back inside and closed the door.

"Well that was a total bust." Spike sighed as they walked off.

"Maybe the others are having better luck." Twilight respond.

With Rainbow Dash she zoomed up to a red mane, white coated female Crystal Pony.

"A way to protect the empire! You know anything about it or what?" Rainbow Dash asked, holding the Crystal Pony.

"I wish I could help you. Really." The red/white Crystal Pony sighed walking off.

Rainbow Dash got a dry look on her face. She zoomed back up to her and did fighting stuff, "Hold on! You gotta know something!"

"But... I don't have any information." The female crystal pony replied walking off.

Rainbow Dash covered her eyes in frustration.

Fluttershy is trying to ask but is too timid as they walk by.

"Oh, um. Excuse me!" Fluttershy try to ask. "Oh! Hello! Umm, I was just wondering." She turns to two couples and made a glare. She walks up to them. She took a deep breath as she held one hoof up but calmly said, "Oh, oh that's okay, umm. You all look really busy." She laughs nervously and flew off-screen.

Pinkie Pie jumped up to a roof. On the roof she is wearing a black ninja outfit with yellow goggles.

"Time to gather some intel!" Pinkie Pie said, sneakily.

She grabs a rope and jumps down holding the rope. A red female Crystal Pony with purple mane and a blue male Crystal Pony looked at the castle.

"It just feels like something is missing." The female said.

"I know. It looks the same, but it doesn't feel the same." The male agreed.

"Because it isn't!" Pinkie whispered hanging over them upside-down.

The red female pony gasped, "A spy!" The couple ran off as Pinkie Pie falls down.

"A spy? How did they know?" Pinkie Pie looks up at her goggles. "Ah! Must have noticed my night vision goggles." Pinkie pushed the goggles down over her eyes. "Ooh! Night vision-y!" When she was about to zoom she slams into a crystal pillar.

We now see Rarity, all shiny, bright, and crystallized with her hair in a bun and has dangling earrings. She flips her head up looking nice.

"Hmhm-hmmm. And when you flip your mane, it simply must create a rainbow of color." The flash soon sees normal Rarity in front a group of crystal ponies. "Oh! Wouldn't I look just magnificent? So sparkly!" Rarity titters as the crystal ponies walked away.

Alyssa and Miyuki try to talk to them but they passed by her. She smiles and try to speak to one but they walked off. They both sighed at this and walks off.

"Anything about protecting the empire?" Erin asked one red male.

"I'm sorry but no." The red male Crystal Pony replied walk off.

Erin sighs as her hat covered her eyes.

Back at the castle, everyone gathered up in the center.

Rainbow Dash sighs, "I got nothing so far."

Rarity was smiling but recovered, "Oh, me neither." Rarity respond.

"Probably doing the getting center attention." Akira whispered to Candace as they giggle.

Twilight turns to the Magix Girls, Jack, and Tails. They shook their heads in response. Fluttershy appeared next to her and… unzipped the costume to reveal Pinkie Pie.

Pinkie hushed, "My cover has been blown. I repeat, my cover has been blown!"

"Ooookay." Twilight said a little crept out as the real Fluttershy came to her with Alyssa, Miyuki, and Applejack.

"Sorry, Twilight. These crystal ponies seem to have some kinda collective amnesia or somethin'. Only thing I was able to get out of 'em was somethin' about a library." Applejack explained.

Twilight eye widens and gasps, "A library?" Twilight's eyes gleam with a gleaming purple background and goes to Applejack's face. "Well, why didn't you say so?!" She zoom off.

"Uh... thought I just did." Applejack said.

They all follow Twilight off-screen to the library.

Everyone arrived at the library as the doors open. It was crystallized and filled with so many books upon shelves after another.

"I just... I don't even know what to... There are no words." Twilight gasped in admiration.

Kanade is admiring it as well.

"I bet Belle would feel like at home." Alyssa suggested. "I know I would."

"What a lovely library." Erin agreed.

Konata and Akira freaked out and looked at Erin.

"I don't know who you are anymore." Konata told Erin.

"Shut up." Erin respond. "At least we're here for information."

"Ahem." The girls turned to a Librarian Crystal Pony with purple hair and coat. "May I help you?"

"Yes. We're looking for a book." Twilight answered.

"We have plenty of those."

"You do. You really do." said Twilight in awe spinning around with sparkly eyes.

"Gee looks like Rarity is not the only one in admiration." SG giggled at Jack.

"We're lookin' for a history book. Somethin' that might tell us how the empire might've protected itself from danger back in the day." Applejack asked.

"Yes. Of course. History, history…" The Librarian ponders. "Ah, yes."

The mane six and the others smiled with squee.

They was a long pause which confused Twilight.

"Awkward…" Alyssa whispered.

" ...which is where, exactly?: Twilight asked.

"I... I can't seem to remember. I'm not sure I actually work here." The Librarian said not so sure.

Rainbow Dash yells in frustration, "Guh." pulling her face down.

"We'll just take a look around. I'm sure we can find it on our own." Twilight told the others walking off.

"Let me know if you find anything." The Librarian called walking the other way.

"I like her!" Pinkie smiled.

The ponies, the girls, Tails, and Jack look high and low for a history book of the Crystal Empire. Fluttershy, Miyuki, and Alyssa points at the books to find one.

Rainbow Dash is on a ladder and smiles at Applejack telling her to go. Applejack kicks the ladder making it slide. Rainbow Dash knock the books out to find one and landed behind Fluttershy without her knowing. Pinkie Pie jumps up and grabs a book one after another. Rarity yawned as Spike held each book in a pile to her. Akira and Yumi held books as Ami and Candace look through them. Wendy looks while on the ladder. Alyssa holds the book in front of Erin who is looking one in her hand, she looks up and shook her head. Alyssa sighs and tosses the book hitting Akira's head. Hibiki's head was steaming as she looks through the books while Kanade and Hummy calmly looks through. Tails looks through the book by racing his fingers. SG held the book with Jack and they shook their heads. Konata just walked by the books shaking her head at each of them. Miyuki hands the books to Kitty and Kim as they look the cover before they shook their heads and puts it back. Louise looks around by the sliding ladder. Applejack throws the books away to find the right book.

"Uh, anyone else startin' to think this is a lost cause?" Applejack asked.

"Sorta." Mavis said, looking through the books.

Twilight is using her magic to look through a line of books and stacking them in a pile after seeing the wrong ones.

"No, no, no, no, no…" She eye widens at a red one with golden rims and she looks at it. "Yes!"

Everyone stopped looking and went to Twilight. The cover of the book has two foreign titles and three crystals.

"History of the Crystal Empire. I just hope it has the answers we need." Twilight said using her magic to open the book and look through it's pages.

Back at the castle, Twilight showed the book to Cadance and Shining Armor.

"A 'Crystal Fair'. According to this book, it was established by their first queen, and became their most important tradition. The Faire was held every year to renew the spirit of love and unity in the empire so they could protect it from harm." Twilight explained reading the book. "My friends and I could put it together. Everything we need to know is in the book!"

"That sounds pretty promising." Shining Armor smiled in agreement. He smiles at Cadance but faded because of her weak condition.

Twilight notices this and spoke up, "We'll get started right away." Twilight walks off revealing Spike was holding the book. "C'mon, Spike, we've got a Crystal Fair to put together!"

Spike walks off with the heavy book, grunting.

The black scene opens the doors to reveal everyone gathered at a round table as Twilight walks in with Spike and the book and a song played. Twilight appeared smiling at even Spike.

Twilight uses her magic to put the book in the center of the table. The camera zooms upward and down on the book. The pages open to reveal two Crystal ponies jousting.

Rainbow Dash puts on a helment from a mannequin wearing the Crystal armor along with Hibiki, Louise, Akira, Konata, Kitty, and Yumi.

Rainbow Dash: It says that they liked jousting

The page turns to a flag and now showing Rarity getting out a purple cloth and used her magic to make a flag as Ami, Mavis and Kanade got out thread.

Rarity: They flew a flag of many hues

The next page shows a farmer Crystal Pony picking berries. Now we see Applejack, Pinkie Pie, SG, Candace, Wendy, Kim, and Miyuki. Applejack takes one and eats it so does SG which made her smile.

Applejack: Made sweets of crystal berries

Another page turn to a pink ewe. Now shows them following Fluttershy, Erin, and Alyssa and dancing.

Fluttershy: They had a petting zoo with tiny ewes

Now everybody is singing and jumping to the beat.

Pinkie Pie turns a page for her, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash to see. The page shows a Crystal Pony playing an odd-shaped flugelhorn. Now Pinkie Pie is playing the flugelhorn which annoyed the others as they cringed and cover their ears while Erin and Hummy enjoyed the music.

Pinkie: There was a crystal flugelhorn

Now we view Twilight's face as we zoom away to show her hoof on her heart as a transmit flag waving appeared.

Rainbow Dash and Tails flew up putting streamers up. Twilight held her book up to look to see if the fair is exactly right. Pinkie Pie jumped by playing the flugelhorn and Fluttershy guiding the ewes. Spike appeared and let go of the balloons. The balloons moved away to reveal the group finishing their song.

Twilight looks around as her magic levitate the book for her to read.

"It looks amazing! I don't know how I could've done this without you!" Twilight said, amazed. "One last check to make sure everything is in place, and then the festivities can begin!"

"What's this thing for?" Applejack asked off-screen.

We view Applejack near a stand with a heart-shaped crystal. She tugs on it making it title back and forth.

"The last page of the book mentioned a crystal heart as the faire's centerpiece, so I used my magic to cut one out of a crystal block." Twilight explained.

"Nice work, Twi. Think we're ready to get this faire up and runnin'." Applejack smiled.

At the castle balcony, Pinkie took draws a deep breath and blows the flugelhorn as Twilight, Candace, and Shining Armor appeared.

"Hear ye, hear-" Twilight got cut by the flugelhorn making her glare at Pinkie who said, "Flugelhorn" through the horn but stopped. She smiles nervously and hides it, laughing nervously, "My bad."

"Ahem." Twilight cleared her throat as fanfares play. "Hear ye, hear ye." All the Crystal ponies came out of hiding. "Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor do cordially invite you to attend the Crystal Fair!"

When the Crystal Ponies heard that, they chattered indistinctly. Crystal powers transformed them brightly and their hairs were neatly. They arrive at the fair. Pinkie Pie and Twilight high-five since their plan is working.

"Come on in, y'all." Applejack guides them. "Got food and drinks thataway, games and crafts are thataway, crystal heart to the back near the Princess."

"Did she say... Crystal Heart?" One female pink Crystal pony asked.

The Crystal Ponies indistinctly kept chattering. Rainbow Dash flew up to a blonde mane, purple pony making her jump.

"We totally nailed it, right?" Rainbow Dash asked but the pony runs off yet Rainbow Dash followed. "Must be feeling a lot of love and unity about now! Gonna have some grub, huh? What are you thinking?" Rainbow Dash gave her a pie. "Crystal Empire berry pie? Maybe some crystal corn-on-the-cob!" Rainbow Dash saw the pony left as they pie fell. "What is with these ponies?!"

"Seeing all of this, I feel like I'm starting to remember. Remember things from before the king." The blue female pony from before said.

"Me too.' The red/white one agreed.

They both gasped as the magic turns them crystallized.

"The Crystal Heart!" They both exclaimed.

"Do you think they really have it?" asked the red/white pony.

Rainbow Dash flew by and held the pony's shoulder and answered for her, "Of course we have it! Can't have a Crystal Fair without the crystal heart, right?"

"Of course you can't." The Librarian pony said in agreement. "The whole purpose of the Crystal Fair is to lift the spirits of the crystal ponies, so the light within them can power the Crystal Heart, so that the empire can be protected!" The magic turned her bright again as she gasps. "I do work at the library!"

Rainbow Dash is confused as Applejack appeared.

"W-what's that about 'powering the heart'?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"I just can't believe you found it. King Sombra said he'd hidden it away where we would never see it again! I only hope it will still be as powerful after all these years...!" She turns to see something off-screen. "Mm, funnel cake!"

Rainbow Dash freaked out and zoomed off. She grabbed the flag and went back to the center and hides the Crystal Heart which it covers it. Twilight came out and asked, "Why did you-"

"I think we may have a problem…" Rainbow Dash replied nervously.

"What problem?" SG asked.

"Don't worry SG, we'll fix this." Twilight explained.

SG nodded as she turned to the others. Erin is eating a pie with a smile.

"I have to hand it to you. These crystal berries are too die for." Erin said with her mouth full. "This test or mission or whatever is turning out perfectly."

Tails gasped when he heard that. He glared at Erin who swallows the pie and burps, "Excuse me."

Tails marched up to her, angrily. Alyssa notices this making her nervous. Alyssa waves at Erin making gestures. Erin notices this as she swallows the last piece.

"What?" Erin asked.

"Behind… you…" Alyssa whispered.

Erin turns to see Tails coming to her.

"Tails! Oh isn't this fair amazing?!" Erin asked, wiping her mouth with a handkerchief.

"I bet it is, you LIER!" Tails snapped.

"No, no, this Erin-chan." Miyuki told him making everyone blankly stared at her.

"Tails, what's the matter?" Erin asked. "This fair is suppose to make the ponies fill with love."

"Yes I know. It's one of your stupid missions! So you lie to me about saying it's a test for Twilight!" Tails snapped.

"No, no, no, I didn't know it is. Twilight thinks it's a test. And you agreed to come to help and encourage her to pass."

"Oh yeah right and you didn't even notice it was a mission until you said it!"

Erin's eyes are filled with fear hoping he's not mad at her as Tails' eyes appeared under her scene.

"Tails, you said it's okay."

"I did say it. You said no more missions for a while but look where we are now! No wonder you always think you like to travel and see new people."

The Magix Girls, Alyssa, and Jack watched in shock. They hope Tails doesn't what they think he's gonna say.

"Tails, I'm sorry…" Erin's voice is shaking in fear.

"Cry me a river, built me a bridge, and get over it!" Tails snapped. "We are done, FOREVER!"

"What?!" Erin asked.

Everyone gasped mostly Alyssa and SG. Erin's eyes filled with tears as she started crying loudly. Before Alyssa could touch her, Erin pushes her hand away and runs off crying. Everyone saw this with sadness as Erin runs off. The Magix Girls, Jack, and Alyssa all glared down at Tails who notices.

"What?" Tails asked.

"You've gone too, mister!" Jack snapped. "Yelling at the one who loves you! I never in all my life!" Jack storms off.

"Nice going, you dumb head." Akira snapped.

"But I…" Tails begged.

"Talk to the hand." Candace said, ignoring him.

Konata, Hibiki, Kanade, Hummy, Ami, and Yumi blew raspberries at Tails. Kitty, Wendy, Louise, and Kim just walked by him, scoffing. Mavis just glared at him saying, "And I wouldn't stoop that low."

SG glared at Tails, "I can't believe you. The one person besides Cosmo you loved the most reminded you of her but now you think she's just a selfish girl. I'm ashamed of you Tails. You're a bigger jerk then Dipper!"

Alyssa went to him a bit mad.

"Alyssa… I…" Tails got cut when Alyssa slapped him. "No! Erin-senpai is sad and heartbroken because of you! Are you gonna say something like that to me?!"

"Alyssa…"

"No! I hate you!" Alyssa yelled. "I'm going after Erin and comfort her. At least she needs someone's shoulder to cry on."

SG and Alyssa walked off away from Tails angrily. Miyuki just calmly went to him and held his shoulder, "Let this be a small reminder for you. Try not to take it too hard. It's for the best." She walks away from him.

Tails, feeling guilty and sad, lean on the crystal pillar and slides down. He held his head with his head.

"What have I done? I put my own anger out on Erin. SG's right I AM a big jerk. A bigger jerk then Dipper and Knuckles combined." Tails sobbed. "What am I going to do?"

With Erin she was crying on a post of the petting zoo's fence. Fluttershy came by with a few more ewes. That's when she notice Erin is crying. Worried, Fluttershy went to her and tapped her shoulder.

"Tails broke my heart just like… Kaa." Erin sobbed before she hugged Fluttershy and kept crying. Fluttershy, a bit sadden, pats Erin on the back. Alyssa and SG notices this as they looked at each other.

"And I thought Erin was really happy being with Tails here right now." SG told Alyssa who shed a tear.

Erin continues to cry as Fluttershy hugs her and SG and Alyssa watched her.

With Twilight and Rainbow Dash, they were on the balcony with Shining Armor and Cadance.

"I didn't know it was an actual relic! The book didn't mention anything about the crystal ponies powering the heart!" Twilight said looking through the book until she stopped at the end with a torn page corner. "There was a page missing... how did I not notice?!"

"It's alright, Twilight." Cadance softly told her.

Cadance fainted but was grabbed quickly by Shining Armor. Her horn's magic faded making Shining Armor shock.

"Twily…" Shining Armor begged.

They heard howling as they turn to see the barrier fading. We zoom to the gateway as the barrier faded. Shadows begin to cover the Crystal Empire as King Sombra's eyes and soon his whole head came out. The Crystal Empire is about to be swallowed up…

The Crystal Empire is almost swallowed by King Sombra's shadow as his head appeared, laughing evilly.

Back at the castle, Shining Armor saw this as he turns to Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Cadance. He lifts Cadance who woke up. They smile as Cadance gain her determination and used her magic again to make a shield. Sombra notice as he tries to get in but his horn got cut by the shield making him yell in pain. The shield covered the empire again. After that, Cadance almost fell but Shining Armor grabbed her in time.

King Sombra's horn magically faded into the ground. It left purple and green spots shining on the ground.

Cadance is getting weaker worrying Shining Armor.

"I have to find the Crystal Heart." Shining Armor said.

"No, you stay here with Cadence." Twilight told him as Cadance fell into Shining Armor's hoof. "She needs you, Shining Armor. I'll retrieve the heart."

"Let's do this." Rainbow Dash zoomed after her inside the castle.

"I've been trying to figure out how I'm meant to pass Celestia's test. Retrieving the Crystal Heart must be it. But there is something else you can do." Twilight explained as they ran/flew to find an exit.

"Name it." Rainbow Dash nodded.

"You and the rest of our friends have to keep the faire going."

"What? With that thing moving into the empire?"

"The whole purpose of the Crystal Fair is to lift the spirits of the Crystal Ponies, so they can activate the Crystal Heart."

"Yeah, and?"

"If the Crystal Ponies find out that King Sombra is trying to take over the empire again, their spirits are gonna be anything but lifted."

Outside Applejack is looking at the carved Crystal Heart but covers it when a Crystal pony walks by. Twilight and Rainbow Dash came out of the castle's door.

"It won't matter if I find the Crystal Heart. They won't be able to make it work. You have to keep them happy here at the faire." Twilight finished.

"Keep the faire going and the Crystal Ponies' spirits high. Done and done." Rainbow Dash saluted, flying off as we view Cadance and Shining Armor.

"Twily," Shining Armor called as Twilight look up. "be careful."

"I will." Twilight nodded running off.

Shining Armor and Cadance looked at each other as Twilight left to go find the Crystal Heart. Back where the horn dissolve, a black crystal rose from the ground with a growl noise in the background.

A ring hits a crystal like a horse shoe toss by a two female Crystal ponies, they smile bringing back their crystal forms. Another female Crystal pony ate a corn making her smile and crystallized making Fluttershy happy. She sees a pony wearing a hat. When she turns around, she frowns. Erin is looking down with her hat covering her head and face still upset about Tails' breaking up with her. SG and Alyssa still watches her.

"Oh Erin, I know you're upset but we need to make the Crystal ponies happy." SG said.

"If they see you upset, they…" Alyssa paused as she realized the only way the Crystal Ponies would be upset is King Sombra.

Erin didn't answer as she sighs heavily. SG and Alyssa look worried until Rainbow Dash appeared and whispered in Erin's ear.

"She's what?" Erin asked softly.

"Yes, and what's wrong with you?" Rainbow Dash asked.

SG and Alyssa used "slice throat" signals to tell her don't ask. Rainbow Dash was confused but shrugged as she whispers to SG and Alyssa.

"Twilight?" Alyssa asked.

Rainbow Dash nodded, flying off. When Alyssa and SG look at Erin, she is running off.

"Senpai, wait up!" Alyssa called, taking SG's hand and dragging her.

"Wait!" SG cried being dragged.

We now view Rarity weaving a basket and use her magic to lift it making the ponies glow back to their form. They all gathered to buy some making Rarity and Spike smile. Rainbow Dash came up and whispered, "Okay, here's... (becomes indistinct)."

Rarity gasped loudly which the crystal ponies and Spike look.

"I... just found out they're offering face painting for the little ones." Rarity recovered picking up Spike and laughing nervously.

The crystal ponies went back to having fun. Rarity whispers to Spike as he spoke, "Uhuh. We can do that." Then hears something surprising. "Twilight's doing what?!" Spike zooms off fast.

"He... really... loves getting his face painted. Haha." Rarity nervously spoke again.

Twilight ponders as she walks around.

"Who wants a flugelhorn?" Rainbow Dash called.

Pinkie Pie appeared dressed as a jester, "I wanna flugelhorn!"

Rainbow Dash ignores her, "Who else wants a flugelhorn?"

"I wanna flugelhorn!"

Twilight keeps pondering until she realizes and turns back to the castle. She smiles thinking she might know where the Crystal Heart is!

We hear Spike, Alyssa, SG, and Erin panting.

"Twilight, wait! I'm coming with you!" Spike panted.

"Us too." Alyssa nodded.

"You can't. I have to retrieve the Crystal Heart by myself." Twilight reasoned.

Spike and the girls were determined, "I know. I promise I won't lift a claw to help you."

"Or a finger!" Alyssa held her finger.

As they waited for an answer, Twilight uses her magic to lift Spike and on her back as she sighed, "Not a claw, Spike. And not a finger, girls!"

Twilight runs fast as Spike held on. The girls run after her down the road.

"Where are we going exactly?" Spike asked.

"I think I might know where King Sombra hid the Crystal Heart." Twilight explained.

"The castle?"

"The king would've been counting on the fact that nopony would dare come looking for it here. They'd've been too afraid to even try."

Twilight, Spike, and the girls arrived at the door as Spike said, "I hope you're right."

"You and me both." Twilight agreed.

As Alyssa and SG went inside, Erin stops and turns to Tails who is looking down not happy. Erin sighs but glares.

"If you think I don't care about you, well just wait and see." Erin goes inside closing the door.

With Applejack she's guarding the fake Crystal Heart. Rainbow Dash looks around before zooming off. Then she appeared next to Applejack making her whinnies in surprise. Rainbow Dash looks cautious until a yellow male Crystal Pony appeared but Rainbow Dash went into his face.

"What are you lookin' at?!" Rainbow Dash yelled making him back away. "That's what I thought!"

Applejack yanks Rainbow Dash by the tail and whispered, "Uh, Rainbow Dash? We're supposed to be actin' like nothing's wrong."

"Exactly." Rainbow Dash nodded. She saw two ponies coming and she growls making them run off.

"What I mean is, maybe you should let me keep the Crystal Ponies away from the fake heart, while you show off your joustin' skills." Applejack explained.

"Huh, seeing my awesomeness does have a way of putting ponies into a pretty good mood." Rainbow Dash boasted and flew off as Applejack waved.

At a petting zoo, a male pony saw ewes bleating happily making him smile and turn back to his crystal form. Fluttershy guided another ewe in while holding a cane. She smiles happily making sure the Crystal Ponies are happy. Suddenly Rainbow Dash nudged under her and pushed her.

"Come on, Knight Fluttershy." Rainbow Dash pushed her.

"Huh?" Fluttershy asked.

"It's showtime." Rainbow Dash explained.

Back with Applejack, she was standing on her hind legs guarding the fake heart. Soon a female Crystal Pony appeared.

"How are y'all feelin'? Havin' a good time?" Applejack asked.

"The best I've had in over a thousand years!" The female Crystal Pony gladly said.

The Crystal pony try to see but Applejack blocked her as she backs her away.

"Well, that's good! Gotta renew that spirit of love and unity if you're gonna power up that Crystal Heart, right?"

"I sure would like to see it before the ceremony. It's been such a long time."

"Oh, I hear ya, but, uh... Phew!" She takes her hat off and fan herself. "Gettin' a little toasty out here. Bet you'd like to cool off with a little Crystal Empire nectar!" Applejack pointed at a nectar booth.

The female Crystal Pony left for nectar. Applejack turn to a male Crystal Pony who he try to left the curtain up. Applejack panicked as she quickly covers the curtain and held up a bowl of what appears to be a lumpy soup.

"Uh, you tried the Crystal Empire fritters yet?" Applejack asked as the male sniffs and transforms back. "Made from a traditional Crystal Empire recipe! You're gonna love 'em!"

She saw another female coming up. She panics as she tosses it and the male went after it.

"Uh, I hear there's a joustin' match about to start! You don't wanna miss that!" Applejack yelled, guiding the female the other way. She sighs and spoke, "Come on, Twilight... these Crystal Ponies are more curious than a cat!"

Applejack notice Tails who is moping. She looks around to see anyone not near the fake heart. She snuck up to him making him look up.

"What's matter, sugar cube?" Applejack asked.

"I broke up with Erin because I said she thinks her adventures and friends are more important then me." Tails explained.

"You serious?!" Applejack snapped making him jump. "What made you think of that idea?"

"Because… she's never with me a lot and I feel lonely and thought she doesn't love me."

"Tails, I don't why you think of that but Erin still loves you more then anything in the world. She even talks about you dozens of times. She goes on adventures to make friends because you shoulda realize how much she cares about people. She loves making friends, she hates being lonely. You should of know that."

"But…"

"Nah uh! No buts! Think about Erin for second. If you really love her, that means you let her do what she wants to do. Think Tails, do you want her to make friends, stop being lonely, and save lives all the time or keep her to yourself like a selfish big bad timberwolf!"

Tails gasped a little but turns away as Applejack turns and goes back to the fake. Tails looks down and ponders.

"Maybe AJ's right, I mean being selfish." Tails thought. "But Erin is nowhere to be found right now."

Twilight, Spike, Erin, Alyssa, and SG run around in the castle for the Crystal Heart or something that will lead them to it. Twilight picks up a statue and groans in exertion. After Twilight left, Spike stops and pants hard.

"It's gotta be here somewhere." Twilight said looking around the table. "It's just gotta be!"

Spike saw a lump of the carpet and ponders. Twilight used her magic to left the books to find it. She saw Spike as she puts the books away. She also sees Erin looking in a vase, Alyssa looking in a chair and SG lifting a shelf.

"Not a claw, Spike." Twilight recoiled. "And not a finger, girls!"

"Uh…" Spike laughs nervously as Twilight walk by him.

"Celestia's orders!" Twilight ponders.

They pass the throne room but Twilight backs up and looks. She saw the Crystal as Spike and the girls walk by. Twilight gasped at the crystal tip of the throne, remembering what Celestia said as a flashback of her talk with Celestia appears.

Princess Celestia reverberating, "If the empire is filled with hope and love, those things are reflected across all of Equestria. If hatred and fear take hold…" It echoes when Celestia did the dark magic.

"Of course!" Twilight exclaimed.

The girls and Spike came to her panting for breath but they ran into Twilight.

"What? Did you find it?" Spike asked.

"No." Twilight answered.

"What?" Erin asked.

"Because this isn't King Sombra's castle." Twilight explained.

"Well, isn't this where he lived when he was in power?" Spike asked.

"Yeah doesn't all rulers live in castles like this?" SG agreed.

"It is. But it didn't look like this." Twilight showed the beauty of the room. She then does her magic making her grunts. Her horn glow pink as she focuses hard soon it turn black. The magic is making her sweat hard. Her eyes had purple aurora coming out and her horn had purple parts coming out. Soon it blasted at the Crystal making it glow black making a shadow going down the throne and on a floor. Then a hole with stair cases appeared.

"Whoa!" Spike said in amazed.

Twilight clapped her hooves happily.

"When did you learn to do that?" Spike asked looking down.

"That was a little trick Celestia taught me." Twilight replied.

Erin takes her hat off while ignoring her runny nose. She then ponders as she concentrate. She held her hand up and concentrated hard as her hand turn from blue to black and purple parts. She opens her eyes which are green with purple auroras. Her hair flow up as she does the magic. She blasted the magic on side of the wall showing an image of Crystal Ponies as slaves.

"Whoa!" Erin gasped.

"Senpai!" Alyssa exclaimed. "How'd you do that?!"

Erin shook her head putting her hat back on. "Well. I'm a visual learner. I watch and learn."

"Lemme try." SG suggest.

SG concentrate and soon her eyes turn green with purple auroras. She blasted her magic at the roof and dark crystals appear.

"Amazing…" SG whispered.

Alyssa decides to do it as well. She concentrated as she held her hand.

"Come on! Come on!" Alyssa thinks hard.

"Come on, Aly." Erin cheered.

Alyssa's eyes turn green with purple aurora and shoots out dark magic making paintings into King Sombra.

"Whoa!" Alyssa exclaimed. "That was cool, scary but cool."

"Girls, cut it out!" Twilight snapped. "I know you did the same trick but we have no time to play with it."

Spike looks down where it's really deep hole. He gulps nervously and making nervous noise. Twilight's horn glow to make light and walk down the steps. Spike try to go after but slowy tries to put one foot down but Twilight appears.

"You stay here." Twilight told him.

"Huh, if you insist." Spike agreed.

Erin and SG decides to follow Twilight as well. SG went down first before Erin stops to see Alyssa nervous.

"Are coming?" Erin asked.

"Me? No, I'm just… a little hot that's all." Alyssa wipes her sweat off.

"Come on Aly! You want to be brave and heroic like me right?"

"Yes but…"

That's when Erin held up her hand. The two play rock-paper-scissors but Erin has paper and Alyssa had scissors, Erin lost. Erin groans and walks down stairs by herself.

"Okay, Aly. Stay here but if we don't come back, follow us!" Erin ordered.

Alyssa nodded as Erin left not before she came back again and took her hat off.

"Here!" Erin gave her hat.

Alyssa takes the hat and holds it as Erin left. Twilight walks down with Erin and SG following her. They kept going down and down.

"Can you see what's down there yet?" Spike called echoing.

"Not yet. I can't even tell how far down this goes!" Twilight respond.

"Sempai, SG-san, are you okay down there?!" Alyssa called echoing.

"We're fine!" SG called. "Just wait for us."

Twilight saw something. A chunk of crystal on the wall. Twilight used her magic to break it off and held it over the hole. She drops it and it falls. She, SG, and Erin hear it fall. Twilight clean her ears out to hear better while Erin made her ear large. Soon they heard a distant clatter. They eye widen knowing how deep it is down there.

"Spike?" Twilight called.

"Aly!" Erin called.

"Yeah?" Spike and Alyssa called back.

"Can you see outside?" Twilight called which echoed.

Spike and Alyssa went to a window as thunder clap. They see the force field about to fade again. With King Sombra, he sees the force field fading.

Growling, he spoke, "Yess... Crystals…"

Alyssa covers her mouth with a gasp. Spike just eye widens in fear.

"It's not good! Cadence's magic must be fading (echoing) faster than before!" Spike called.

"Please hurry girls. Sombra will be here!" Alyssa called.

Twilight was shocked. Determined she runs down the stairs. Erin and SG runs after her fast too. Twilight then hit's a step making it break and her trip over the step. She hits the steps hard going down. Before she hits the ground her magic stops her.

"Twilight!" Erin called, running down but trips over and falls down. She soon hit the ground. When SG appeared, she trips over the grounded Erin and on top of her.

"Twilight? Are you okay?" Spike called.

"Senpai? SG? You okay as well?!" Alyssa cried.

"Yes…" Twilight cringed. Twilight disappeared and reappears on her hooves. She turns with a smile seeing a door.

Erin and SG got up and saw the door.

"A door?" Erin asked.

Twilight try to open it with her magic but it "moved" up.

"A moving door!" SG exclaimed.

Twilight turn and saw it. She tries to open it but it moved again. Twilight turns behind and sees it, "What in the…" She jumps after the door but hits the wall. "Stop… moving!" She tries to go after it. She got mad as her horn turn black and blasted the magic at the door. The black stream hit's the crystal on top and the door open with a bright light. Twilight look away but smiles.

"Spike, girls, I think it's here!" Twilight smiled.

"Let's go!" Erin exclaimed.

"Yes!" SG nodded.

Twilight runs into the door's light and goes in. The light glew brighter showing Twilight appearing in Celestia's throne room.

"Huh?" Twilight asked, confused. "Why am I here and where's SG and Erin?"

As Twilight looks around…

"What are you doing here?" Princess Celestia asked, rudely.

Twilight turns to her teacher writing reports.

"I don't know! I opened the door and-" Twilight to explain.

"And now you must go." Celestia told her, rudely not looking.

"Go where?"

"Doesn't matter to me." She said calmly then snaps as she glares at her. "You failed the test, Twilight."

When Twilight heard this made her smile fade. Her mouth and eyes open wide in total shock as she appeared in a red background.

Erin runs in but stops to sees herself back in Cartoon City.

"Cartoon City?" Erin asked. "But where's SG and Twilight?"

"We're over!" SG's voice yelled a bit mad.

Erin turns to SG, Twilight, Alyssa, Konata, Candace, Akira, Hibiki, Kanade, Hummy, Wendy, Kim, Kitty, Louise, Miyuki, Mavis on a computer screen, Jack, Tails, Ami, Yumi, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Rarity a bit mad at her.

"Guys, what are you doing here? We have to go back to the Crystal Kingdom." Erin asked. "It's in danger."

"We will… Without you!" Akira snapped.

"What?" Erin asked a bit shocked.

"Erin, just stay away from us! We hate you!" Tails yelled.

Erin gasped in dismay but she didn't want to believe this.

SG runs in but stops to sees herself back in Halloween Town.

"Halloween Town?" SG asked.

"SG! HELP!" Jack's voice cried.

SG turns and sees Jack fighting Oogie Boogie and when Oogie Boogie threw cards at Jack, it impaled him off-screen like a dagger. SG gasped as she covers her mouth with her one hand.
