Anyway, it's time to work on the final chapter of the My Little Pony's The Nightmare Before Chrstmas' trilogy, so let's work on this, shall we?

Prologue; Siblings' Departure

It has been sometime since the defeat of Discord and Christmas being saved by the ruler of Halloween Town Shining Armor and his sister Twilight Sparkle. But the adventure doesn't end there. At a familiar area with many doors that are marked with a holiday, someone is heard speaking in rhyme.

"T'was a long time ago, longer now than it seems,
In a place that perhaps you've seen in your dreams."

We see the first few doors that show the symbols for Independence Day, Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day.

"For the story that you are about to be told,
took place in the holiday worlds of old."

We see the doors for Christmas, which Shining and Twilight went to, Thanksgiving and Easter.

"Now, you've probably wondered where holidays come from."

We now stop at a door for Halloween as it opens up.

"Well, if you haven't, I say it's time you've begun."

Soon everything went black. We see some papers flying by before we see a scarecrow with a pumpkin's head and an evil look on a pole with has the familiar sign of 'Halloween Town' on it. The wind turns both around as we are about to return to the world that involves creature scaring and such where a new adventure is about to begin.

Halloween Town is busy from yet another successful Halloween for the year. The gate opens as we hear the Mayor calling out, "And thus the award for the most spines tingled by a non-corporal being."

The citizens of Halloween town are gathering to hear and get awards for the Halloween for this year. Their ruler and favorite Halloween scarer, Shining, is in the spotlight smiling and waving to them all cheering.

"Once again, another great Halloween, Shining." The Mayor said to Shining with a smile on her face. The crowd cheers once more as Shining bow to them.

"Yes, yes, as usual, this year's Halloweentwas the most horrible yet! Thanks, everyone," Shining laughs a bit to the crowd.

As the crowd kept cheering, Shining goes behind the curtain as it closes on him. The stallion then frowns while thinking as if having another problem, just like last year when he decided to take Christmas.

"Another Halloween is a success, Shining," Twilight said as she came back to congratulate Shining. The mare notices the concerned look on her brother's face. "Shining? What's wrong?"

"Oh, I think something's missing, Twiley." Shining said to Twilight with a sigh.

"Not again. I hope you aren't going to take over Christmas again or another holiday. You remember what happened the last time you did."

"No, this time, it isn't that. It's just...there must be a way to make Halloween even more hideous, terrifying and frightening, that's all. And of course Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Rarity are busy to give us help."

"Oh. Well, why not ask Lord Chester? Maybe he has an idea or two."

"Yes, good idea. We will ask him." Shining said as he sighs. The two ponies head off to Lord Chester's mansion. Hopefully the alicorn scientist can help in the latest problem that is at hoof here.

Lord Chester was at work in his laboratory when Shining and Twilight came to him for help, explaining the stallions' idea for a new Halloween, an improved on than the last.

"So you want a new Halloween?" Lord Chester asks Shining and Twilight in amusement.

"Well, my brother wanted it, a fresh, new and improved one." Twilight explains to Lord Chester.

"Right, after last year...well, we can't just do the same old thing, can we?" Shining points out to Twilight and Lord Chester with a nod. "We must be inspired to do something different like getting new scares, new ideas, new discoveries, etc; something fresh and all that."

"Right, and being a scientist, we figure you may have an idea or two."

"Well, you want new discoveries, Shining? I believe I got what you need." Lord Chester said as he goes over to a desk and took out some sort of jar with some green blob in it. "Here we go; it's something I like to call the Soul Robber."

"Will it work?" Twilight ask as she looks at the Soul Robber carefully.

"It will come in handy for Shining. All he has to do is to allow it on his foreleg and the Soul Robber will do the rest. Come on."

Shining nods as he opens the jar. After holding out one of his upper forelegs, the Zombie Pony King then place one hoof towards the lid, but move it back as the Soul Robber was moving around like crazy inside the jar.

Shining hesitates, wondering if this is a good idea then use his magic to open the lid. The Soul Robber came out and attacked the ruler's hand, causing him to yelp in alarm. After a while though, Shining wave his upper foreleg then glances at a pumpkin.

Time to test out the Soul Robber so he uses the Soul Robber onto a pumpkin on another desk to grab it; Twilight exclaims in amazement, "That is amazing, Lord Chester! It works!"

"Yeah, awesome," Shining cheers as he puts down the pumpkin, "That's exactly what I need; All right, this settles it. I will go out to look for more discoveries for Halloween next year."

"Can I come with you? Just to make sure you get back okay. I'm sure Spike and Lorcan can handle things without us."

"Yeah, good idea; Hey, Lord Chester, besides my friends, can you look after things while we're gone?"

"No problem. I am definitely looking forward to next Halloween, my friends." Lord Chester said with a chuckle. The siblings leave, preparing to go out on their journey to find some new discoveries. Who know? It may work.

Of course, as Shining and Twilight leave, they are unaware that three familiar mutts are watching through a window, chuckling sinisterly. Fido comments, "Yes, yes, Shining and his sister are going out of town for a while."

"Yes, now Discord can take over!" Rover exclaims pleased. Although Discord was crush by Oswald when he was defeated by Shining and his friends last year, the Diamond Dogs has found a spell that can revive the evil Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony.

"Right, how hard could it be?" Spot remarks with an evil smirk.

The Diamond Dogs laugh sinisterly as they head off to begin their evil plan: the resurrection of Discord.

It is now December 23rd and things had gotten worst in Halloween Town. An old evil has returned and everyone is in danger. In the tower, Cadance, Shining's new love, was using her magic to make a paper airplane. Hopefully this will reach the unicorn that she loves.

"Shining, I hope this finds you, wherever you and Twilight are." Cadance mumbles. She trots over to the window and tosses it out with her magic, the paper airplane flew through the sky. As we hear evil laughter from out of nowhere, all went black. "Shining, Twilight, hurry!"

Yikes! Shining and Twilight has left town and Discord is back. In the next chapter, the siblings return to find the town under control by their enemy before taking on a shadow that looks like him. Read, review and suggest.

Chapter 1: Halloween in Chaos

It was evening as two familiar ponies arrive through the gate of Halloween Town. Twilight smiles while saying, "Welcome home, Shining."

"Right, would've been loss if we and our friends didn't put Discord down for good." Shining said with a light chuckle, "Should've listened to my warning before."

"Odd, shouldn't the citizens of this town be here to welcome us back?"

"Maybe they didn't know that we're back." Shining then stops as he and Twilight saw a group of skeletons nearby, "Oh hey! Didn't think we met before, guys. My name is Shining, Shining Armor as in..."

Suddenly without warning, the skeletons attack the siblings. Shining yelps as he duck in time, Twilight uses his magic to knock the attacker back; what the hay?!

"Hey, what are you doing?!" Twilight demands in annoyance. A skeleton grabs Shining but the stallion kicks him right off. The stallion frowns as he got his Soul Robber ready.

"You guys aren't from Halloween Town at all!" Shining exclaims angrily. He uses his Soul Robber to grab the skeleton, sending it right to the ground and breaking the creature into pieces.

"It appears that something terrible has happened while we were gone!"

Shining and Twilight uses their magic powers to get rid of the rest of the skeletons. The two sighs but looks concerned. What happened to Halloween Town while they were gone? Where is everyone?

Just then a loud scream is heard followed by microphone feedback. Suddenly a familiar voice spoke up, "Testing, testing! Is this thing working?" The two ponies look shocked and horrified. No, it can't be! "Hello, my chaotic adorable citizens of Halloween Town! Discord speaking; Today, I bring you some interesting news! To begin things, in place of your ruler Shining Armor, I am now in charge. Second, as of this very hour and this exact moment, I declare that this town be recalled...Discord Town! Ha ha ha ha! Anyway, other than that, have a chaotic nice day!"

Once the mic freeback is turned off, Twilight gasps, "It can't be! I thought Discord was destroyed!"

"I don't know what happened! I mean...what happened while we were gone?" Shining ask Twilight in concern. Discord has somehow returned, but how? His last bug was crushed by Oswald!

Just then the siblings heard some noises coming from the hall. Sounds like someone is in trouble so Shining and Twilight heads over and bust the door down. They saw someone turning away from the charging duo in horror.

"Noooo; I don't wanna make anymore traps! I wanna make parties and fun!" The figure exclaims in horror. Just then she peeks and looks surprised. Twilight and Shining recognize her as Pinkie Pie, "Twilight, Shining; It's you."

"Pinkie Pie, what happened while Twilight and I were away?" Shining ask Pinkie in concern.

"Not sure but Discord is back somehow. He has become a ruler of Halloween Town."

As if without warning (or reason), a small Pinkie came out of her mane while saying, "Yes! Bugs, chaos and everything, he's back!"

Another Pinkie, smaller, came out of her mane as she said, "Yep; Discord is back!"

"You see, Lord Chester show us the plans for the next Halloween. The alicorn told us that you both wanted a 'Dangerous Halloween'...soooooo we set up booby traps all over!" Pinkie explains to Twilight and Shining in concern. "Sorry! Lord Chester said that if we don't do it, you two may not come back."

"What?! That's crazy, not to mention evil!" Twilight exclaims in shock and alarm. Why would Lord Chester claims that she and Shining wanted a dangerous Halloween?!

"Right, come on, you folks think that using ghosts and skeletons to hurt others is what I called an idea of a good Halloween?" Shining ask Pinkie with a frown.

"Sorry, we wall wanted you to come back," Pinkie said in sadness and guilty. "Then those super super meanie skeletons and ghost show up and begin attacking folks. It's too dangerous to go out anymore."

"Oh great, this is becoming a big disaster! So where are the others?"

"Not sure. I only hid here."

"We got to find Lord Chester, Shining." Twilight said to Shining in concern. "I don't know why he suggested a dangerous Halloween and claims it to be us...but I got a feeling that Discord may have a claw in it."

"Right, he must be in here." Shining said while glancing to the town hall.

"Better be careful! Those nasty ghosts can be seen inside as well!" Pinkie exclaims to the group in precaution of sorts.

Shining and Twilight goes into the town hall, the whole place is trashed and in ruins. Who probably destroyed this place; One of Discord's minions?

"Rarity will throw a fit trying to clean us this mess. I betcha Discord is in here somewhere." Twilight mumbles to Shining in concern.

Just then the duo looks startled as black smoke appears on stage. Once it's gone, a familiar monster is there, only he appears to be in shadows. The monster that looks like Discord booms, "SHININGGGGG!"

"Ugh, I have to ask."

The duo prepares to fight as the shadow monster smirks sinisterly. As the battle begins, Shadow Discord begins to sing a song.

Shadow Discord: Well well well!
Shining the Zombie Pony King.
Finally made it, huh?
Oh, I've been waiting!
So how do you like my Discord town?
Ha ha ha ha!

Shining hits the monster with the Soul Robber as he sings next.

Shining: It's over! It's over!
This time you've gone too far!

Twilight: It's over, we're serious!
Just who do you think you are?

The unicorns blast their attacks onto Shadow Discord then dodges his spears made out of sharpen candy canes.

Shining: Just because you fooled the town
Doesn't make you king!

Twilight: You better give up,
Surrender now!
We're fixing everything!

Shadow Discord: That's what you think! Ha!
But you couldn't be more wrong!
And this will be the last time
You hear the Chaos Song!

Shadow Discord throws his dice at the two but Twilight uses her magic to knock the gambling things right back at him.

Whoa-oh!

Ghosts: Whoa-oh!

Shadow Discord: Whoa-oh!

Ghosts: Whoa-oh!

Shadow Discord: Whoa-oh!

Ghosts: Whoa-oh!

The ghosts drop giant dice right onto the two but they got out of the way in time. During the fight, Shining grabs what appear to be notes as if they are important.

Shadow Discord: I'm the Chaos Makin' Man!

"Discord, you creep, what have you done to everyone in this town?!" Shining demands angrily to Shadow Discord who laughs evilly.

"Why, isn't it obvious, old friend? They are under my control, each and every one of them!" Shadow Discord taunts the heroes sinisterly.

"No, that won't happen, we won't let you have them!" Twilight snaps to Shadow Discord in determination. Once Shining got the last note, the duo glows. Soon they begin dancing and singing.

Twilight: We see you're pretty proud of all your booby-trapping schemes...

Shining: But we can say you'll rule this town only in your dreams!

Shadow Discord: Ha!
That's funny guys,
It was a dream,
But now it's coming true.
'Cause even my mere shadow knows
Your days as king are through

Whoa-oh!

Duo: Whoa-oh!

Shadow Discord: Whoa-oh!

Duo: Whoa-oh!

Shadow Discord: Whoa-oh!

Duo: Woah-oh!

Shining: I'm the Zombie Pony King!

Soon the siblings blast the notes right at Shadow Discord, causing him to scream in agony and defeat. Despite that though, the villain chuckles as he vanish into the floor.

"Well, you got lucky, Mr. Beginner's Luck." Shadow Discord remarks slyly to the heroes. "Do not worry, my good friends. We will meet again and trust me; you got no idea as to the chaos I've in store for you next."

Soon the shadow version of Discord disappears in sight, making the two sigh in relief. But they have a bad feeling that they themselves will see him again.

Just then, Twilight saw an unusual sight: a familiar Jack O'Lantern door. The mare goes over to it and asks, "The Halloween Holiday Door? What is that doing here?"

"I don't know but I got a feeling we should take it." Shining said as he takes the Halloween Holiday Door. The siblings leave, they got a lot of work to do to save their town and figure out what Discord is up to.

Author's note
Well, the siblings survived the first battle but this isn't the last we see of Shadow Discord. In the next chapter, Shining and Twilight reunite with their friends Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Fluttershy before trying to get the key to Lord Chester's mansion from Mr. Mime. Then they go to the cemetery to go looking for Cadance and Princess Luna before fighting off Fido of the Diamond Dogs. Read, review and suggest.

Chapter 2: Search for Cadance and Luna

The siblings arrived at the front gate as a familiar corpse filly is there. Upon spotting Twilight and Shining, she gasps happily, "Shining, Twilight! Yew two came back!"

"Apple Bloom, good to see you safe." Twilight said to Apple Bloom with a smile.

"What has been going on?" Shining ask Apple Bloom in concern.

"Shucks, those Witches' Shop has opened when yew two were away." Apple Bloom explains to Shining in fear, and not the good king. "Things had gone bad since yew two were gone, terrible things."

"I know, I know." Twilight said to Apple Bloom, hugging the filly gently. The trio looks over to the Witches' Shop...and saw three familiar victims being carried off by skeletons. "Look! It's Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy!"

"Hey, you creeps! You aren't taking our pals away!" Shining exclaims sternly to the skeletons.

The two unicorns use their tactics and such to destroy the skeletons. The victims remain unconscious as some familiar Witches came out, gasping upon seeing who has returned.

"Shining, you are back!" The third witch exclaims happily as she hug Shining.

"Tell me, is it true? Has this town truly become booby trapped?" Shining ask the Witches seriously.

"Unfortunately yes; it is too embarrassing to talk about. We placed this all on ourselves." The first witch said in regret. "Say, want to buy anything? We got some prime heads and torsos, which could cost you both a lot of forelegs."

"Not at the moment but can you wake our friends up?" Twilight ask the Witches while glancing at the unconscious ponies. "I would myself but my magic is exhausted from fighting."

"Hang on." The third Witch then casts a spell on the unconscious ones. Soon they slowly woke up.

"Oh dear, what happened; we were fighting those things but then we got knocked unconscious. What..." Rarity then spots Shining and Twilight, making her smile. "Oh, Shining! Twilight, you're back!"

"Oh dear, we missed you both!" Fluttershy exclaims as she rush over to hug her two friends who came back. "Discord is back."

"Yeah, man, those creeps are messing up our town big time." Rainbow remarks to her friends with a frown. "We tried to fight them off to get our town back...but you saw how that went."

"Rarity, what happened while we were gone?" Shining ask Rarity in concern. "How was it that Discord came back?"

"I've heard that the Diamond Dogs has gotten a hold of a magic book...and used a spell to bring anything back to life, no matter the loss of body parts." Rarity explains seriously, much to the other unicorns' shocks.

"That explains it." Twilight said with a groan. "They must've stolen the Forbidden Book of Spells from the library. No one is supposed to touch it because the spells in that book are dangerous!"

"Give me those stupid mutts, I will teach them to bring Discord back!" Rainbow snaps as she waves her hooves into the air.

"But...wouldn't we get hurt doing so?" Fluttershy ask her friends meekly.

"We got to get into Lord Chester's mansion and get him to tell us where Discord's at or at least get his help." Shining said seriously to his sister and his friends, "If only to stop Discord's evil plot."

"Right, come on, let's find Discord and kick his tail!" Rainbow exclaims as the group heads off, making Fluttershy a bit worried.

"Are you sure? We, I...oh," Fluttershy gulps as she follows her friends to Lord Chester's Mansion.

The gang arrives outside the main gate of the mansion. Fluttershy tries her best to open it but to no prevail. The undead yellow Pegasus pony said meekly, "Oh, it's stuck. I guess we can't go in. Too late."

Fluttershy prepares to leave but Rainbow grabs her by the tail, snapping, "We aren't quitting that easily! We got to find a way in!"

"Oh dear."

"We can't open the main gate. Any idea why," Shining ask Apple Bloom in concern.

"Ah done think Mr. Mime got 'de key 'ta open it but Ah don't know where he went since 'de madness happened." Apple Bloom explains to Shining. The group needs to find Mr. Mime and get that key back to open the main gate to the mansion.

Just then the gang heard a commotion coming from a sewer. Twilight nods while saying, "I believe we found him. Come on."

The gang goes into the sewer. Upon entering, they saw Mr. Mime running up to them...being chased by more monsters. Rarity screams, "Oh dear Halloween! Not more of those brutes!"

"Unfortunately," Rainbow scowls in annoyance. The heroes got their magic/weapons out and attack the monsters, wiping them out all.

Once all is clear, Mr. Mime came out of hiding and came back to the heroes, smiling while saying, "Shining; Twilight!"

"No need to panic...right now. You can calm down now." Shining said to Mr. Mime with a smile.

"Is that you two really? I had to hide since the monsters started to cause trouble! I mean, I like a good scare like the next monster and those things bite!"

"Ugh, don't remind us." Twilight said with a groan. "Listen, we need you to unlock the main gate to the mansion for us. Do you have the key?"

"Sure do but ever since it started getting dangerous up there, I had to hide it. Hmmm, did I eat it? Anyway, I will make sure to unlock it for you all once I find the key."

"As long as you aren't hurt," Fluttershy said with a nice smile.

Outside the sewer, more of those monsters appear. Shining's group nod in determination and charge at their enemies, using their skills, magic and attacks to dispose of them. Once the enemies are gone, the gate is heard opening.

"That sounds like a gate opening." Rainbow said as the group turns to see Apple Bloom and Mr. Mime near the opened gate. "Oh yeah, I was right."

"I got the gate opened for you guys." Mr. Mime said with a nod. "You can get into Lord Chester's place now."

"Oh wait, Ah done remember something else! Cadance an' Luna got kidnapped an' taken 'ta 'de cemetery!" Apple Bloom exclaims in worry and realization. "Ah sure hope they're okay."

"What?! Cadance got kidnapped?! All right! No more Mr. Nice Corpse Pony!" Shining exclaims angrily as he rush off to the cemetery. Cadance has been kidnapped along with Luna. This cannot stand!

The group arrives at the cemetery. They head over to the tombstones of Spike and Lorcan, in needing their help and knowing that Lorcan himself will need to know of Luna's kidnapping. Of course, Shining tapes his lower foreleg but nothing happened.

"Hmmm, Spike and Lorcan aren't here right now." Shining said thoughtfully. "We should search this place some more and come back later."

"Hopefully not too late," Rarity said with a shiver. "I hate this place even undead."

The group moves on until they saw the undead tree named Cherrymon...with his ropes on his branches empty. The tree, spotting them, calls out, "Ah, Shining, Twilight; You both have returned."

"Good to see you too, Cherrymon." Shining said with a nod. Glancing at the ropes, he then asks, "Cherrymon, where are you hanging Digimon?"

"They have gone into hiding ever since Discord and his monsters appeared in the graveyard. They aren't very brave, sadly."

"Have you seen Luna and Cadance?" Rarity asks Cherrymon in concern. "They have gone missing or worst."

"To be honest, I haven't seen either of them but I betcha my hanging Digimon have." Cherrymon suggests to the heroes with a nod.

"Come on, let's go and try to find Spike and Lorcan again." Twilight said to her friends. The group heads back to the entrance but upon arrival, they heard three familiar voices singing.

Diamond Dogs' Voices: Laa, la, la, la, la, laa!
La, la, la, la, laa!
Laa, la, la, la, la, laa!
La, la, la, la, laa!

"What? Oh, I know those voices!" Rainbow exclaims in annoyance as the singing continuse.

Hail to Evil Discord Man!
Shining will never win!
When you find our booby traps
They will do you in!

Sure enough, the heroes saw a familiar walking bathtub coming through the gates, heading to them. Once they stop, the Diamond Dogs call out their names with Fido saying, "Fido!"

"Rover," Rover exclaims evilly.

"Spot," Spot remarks with a laugh.

"Ugh, of course, I should've known." Shining said with a frown. He knew that he himself would run into these mutts sooner or later. And if what Twilight suggests is true, then the Diamond Dogs are the reason that Discord has returned.

"You three again," Rarity exclaims to the Diamond Dogs angrily and in disgust.

"Welcome home, Shiny, Twilight." Fido said to the siblings with a wicked smirk.

"How was your trip?" Rover asks the two ponies eagerly.

"Are you having fun yet, Shining?" Spot ask Shining hopefully.

"Guys, something has gone wrong in Halloween Town...you wouldn't happen to know who cause it, do you?" Twilight ask the Diamond Dogs suspiciously.

"Who," Fido ask in pretend innocence.

"You're talking to us?" Rover asks as if pretending not to know what's going on.

"Well, err...err..." Spot said, trying to coming up with an excuse himself.

"Look, it isn't too late now." Shining said with a sigh. "Return this town to normal and we will consider giving you a light punishment for bringing Discord back."

"Come on, why would we do that?" Fido asks Shining as if being told a poor joke.

"Right, the fun has truly begun!" Rover laughs madly.

"Yep, plus we are on secret mission to stop you ponies but don't tell anyone though. Ha ha ha," Fido laughs stupidly. This causes Spot to hit his fellow Diamond Dog with a mallet before jumping out of the tub to confront the good guys.

"Later, ponies," Rover exclaims with a laugh as the bahttub leaves the scene. Metal fences appear around the group, leaving them with Fido.

"All right, ponies, you have to play with me now!" Fido taunts the good guys madly. Some skeletons appear from out of nowhere, "And my skeletons."

"Bad idea," Fluttershy mumbles as the group prepares themselves.

The skeletons charge at the heroes who attack them and dodge their attacks, fighting as hard as they could. Despite how tough the enemies are, Shining and his group manages to get rid of them one by once.

Soon no more skeletons were left. Fido, unaware of this at first, tries summoning more while yelling, "GET THEM! Huh? Hey, where did they go?" The Diamond Dog yelps as the group glares at him. Pretending to act innocent, Fido put his arms behind his back while saying, "Sorry! I be good from now on! Promise; Gotta go!"

Twilight frowns as Fido rushes off in a hurry. She remarks, "Right. I would believe that when I see it."

"Time to call Spike and Lorcan again," Shining said as he patted his lower foreleg twice.

Sure enough, the group heard familiar growls as two familiar dragon ghosts came out. Spike exclaims, "Shining, Twilight! You're back!"

As Spike hugs Twilight, Lorcan remarks, "About time! Halloween Town has been crud since you two left."

"We're sorry but we will fix things." Shining said in determination. "Listen, Spike, Lorcan, we will need your help in finding some hanging Digimon."

"Oh, I am not sure." Spike said in hesitations but notice Rarity smiling warmly to them.

"Please Spikey Wikey, do this for us? Please?" Rarity asks, batting her eyelashes.

"Oh, why not; we're coming with ya."

"Yeah, no way are we gonna let you two have all the fun." Lorcan said with a smirk.

"May as well since we're looking for Cadance and Luna who has been kidnapped by Discord and his goons." Rainbow explains to Lorcan, making the dragon looks shocked.

"What; Again; No one does that to my...come on!"

Spike and Lorcan floats off, making Fluttershy exclaims, "Come on, follow them!" The group rush off in hope to find some hanging Digimon and maybe Cadance and Luna as well.

Spike and Lorcan has joined the group. In the next chapter, the gang goes looking for the hanging Digimon, fight Fido once more then fight a huge giant to save Cadance and Luna. Read, review and suggest.

Chapter 3: The Rescue

The group begin their search for the hanging Digimon. They first go to one of the walls, not far from Cherrymon. They soon find one of them in hiding.

"There you go, listen we will deal with Discord's lackey, you go back to Cherrymon." Shining said to the Digimon with a nod.

"It should be safer than, go on." Twilight insists to the hanging Digimon who nods and heads off.

The group kept on with the search. Soon they find another hanging Digimon hiding under a bridge in another part of the graveyard.

"Silly Digimon, as much as we want to play 'Hide and Go Shriek', now is not the time to." Fluttershy said to the Digimon. "Go on, go right back to Cherrymon."

"Right, besides those creeps will find you under there anyway." Lorcan points out to the Digimon who then heads back to Cherrymon.

The gang search a thick patch of weeds, discovering a hanging Digimon struggling inside. They nod and use their strength to remove patch to free the thing.

"It's safe now; you can go back to Cherrymon now." Shining said to the hanging Digimon gently.

"Better get going though. Discord's goons are probably coming back to this spot at any given moment!" Rainbow exclaims to the hanging Digimon

Once the next hanging Digimon is gone, they saw another one hanging on a tree over a ledge. The group tries to get up to it while struggling. Lorcan on the other claw took the easy way: he floats up to it and screams, "Boo!"

This causes the Digimon to scream and fell right onto Twilight who said, "Wasn't easy finding you. Go on back to Cherrymon."

The Digimon left. The gang found the last of the hanging ones hanging on a branch of a giant tree right near Cherrymon. They have to climb up there; Rarity appears to be having a bit of problem.

"Oh dear, why must I go into this kind of madness," Rarity complains a bit.

"It's okay, Rarity, we should be up there soon." Spike said to Rarity with a nod.

Shining soon got to the top and spoke to the final hanging Digimon, "It's okay, do not be scared unless you wanted to be scared. Go back to Cherrymon."

The last hanging Digimon left, everyone slides down as Lorcan ask, "So is that all of them?"

"Yeah, it should. Cherrymon has five hanging Digimon in all. Come on."

The group goes back to Cherrymon who smiles as he said, "Thanks for finding all of my Digimon, everyone. I wouldn't be much of a hanging tree without them, would I?"

"Good to hear that." Twilight said to Cherrymon with a nod. "Where did all these skeletons came from though?"

"Right, they kept showing up all over the place in the graveyard!" Rainbow exclaims to Cherrymon with a frown.

Cherrymon looks thoughtfully as he explains, "I did notice that some of the tombstones are overturned. Perhaps the skeletons are coming from there."

"So we have to put them up?" Fluttershy ask Cherrymon meekly.

"Looks like the case here." Spike said to Fluttershy with a nod.

"All right, we will get them faster if we split into two groups. Rainbow, Rarity, Fluttershy and Spike, you take the first half. Lorcan, Twilight and I will take the other one." Shining advises his group, deciding up the groups.

"Right, and I will see if my hanging Digimon has found anything about the whereabouts of Cadance and Princess Luna." Cherrymon said to the ponies. After all, Shining will need all the help that he can get to find the missing Cadance and Luna, right?

"Here's hoping." Spike said with a nod.

The groups split up into two. At some of the grave, Rainbow's team fight off the four skeletons at the different graves while Shining's group got rid of the remaining ones quickly. That got the task done.

Everyone reunites at Cherrymon who smiles while announcing, "You have all done well. I know that with all of you here, Halloween Town will be back to its scary old self. Also, I have good news. One of my Digimon informed that they heard a mare singing from under the ground."

"Mare," Shining ask Cherrymon in worry.

"Singing," Lorcan ask Cadance puzzled.

"Under the ground," Fluttershy ask Cherrymon curiously.

"Heard?" Twilight ask, making her pals look at her. "Sorry, that's the only world that I can say that wasn't taken."

Suddenly a paper plane flew by the group, tapping Shining on the back. The stallion turns just in time to see it fell to the ground. The stallion asks in surprise and hope, "What's this?"

"It looks like...yes! It must be a paper plane message from Cadance!"

As the paper airplane disappears from sight, Cherrymon glances to where it came from: the other part of the graveyard. The tree said, "Hmmm, down that way lie the Underground Burial Chamber."

"The Burial Chamber," Shining ask Cherrymon.

"The largest grave in this area; It is filled with spiders and cobweb; How romantic."

"Of course, yes! That must be where Cadance and Luna be at!"

"Come on, let's go even though I despite the idea of cobwebs and spiders in my mane." Rarity sighs as the group heads off to the Underground Burial Chamber. They are a step closer to saving Cadance and Luna.

The group arrives at the burial with Lorcan ask in determination, "Where is that chamber place? I must save Luna...oh, and Cadance too, I guess."

"It's in the other part of the graveyard, right where we found the hanging Digimon behind the weed bush." Shining explains to Lorcan clearly.

"Come on, let's get up to the building! If whatever's in there hurts Luna, I am kicking some butt!"

The others knew how Lorcan will do anything to save Luna, even if it means hurting anyone who gets in his way. They rush to the other part of the graveyard. Upon arrival, Twilight saw another note and uses her magic to pick it up.

"Hmmm, we're getting closer to finding her." Twilight said thoughtfully.

Soon Shining's group arrives at the burial chamber where Cadance and Luna should be. But before they could get closer, a familiar Diamond Dog came out, snapping, "Why must you and your friends must try to ruin our fun?! This will be the last time you all get in our way!"

Just then metal fences and more skeletons appear in the area, much to Lorcan's annoyance as he snaps, "Great! Brilliant! And here I thought it was gonna be easy, but nooooo! Make things harder for us, why don't ya?!"

The group quickly fights off the skeletons, using their spells and magic. Fido then jumps into the air, using an ariel attack causing them to yelp and move out of the way. The Diamond Dog fights off with his mallet but they dodge the attack.

Shining's group kept on fighting off Fido until the Diamond Dog fell to the ground, resulting in the chamber to become unlocked automatically.

"Ouch, you win this time." Fido groans as he got up from the ground.

"Trust me; there won't be a next time." Shining snaps to Fido in a face that means 'there better not be a next time'. The Diamond Dog put his arms behind his back as if playing innocent again.

"Of course, sure; whatever you say."

Fido leaves the group who frowns at him. Rarity snaps, "He better not appear again or I will make him regret it."

"How? By whining," Lorcan jokes a bit to Rarity, making her scowl at him in annoyance.

The group goes inside the chamber, going through some sort of maze that has coffins that spit out spiders and ghosts, much to the fright of Rarity and Fluttershy. Shining, Twilight and their friends fight off the creatures that attacked them.

Much later in the main room, the group enters and looks at each side; where's Cadance and Luna? Shining looks up and gasps upon seeing a familiar pink alicorn in the center.

"Cadance," Shining exclaims with a smile on her face. Cadance saw her love, making her smile right back.

"Shining," Cadance exclaims as the two lovers rush to each other, holding each other's hooves while smiling. It's like a lifetime of them being apart.

"Cadance..."

"Shining..."

"Wait, where's Luna? Where..." Lorcan asks in concern. The ghost dragon looks up and gasps in alarm, "LUNA!"

"Lorcan, what did you see?" Spike asks his brother. Lorcan points up causing everyone to look up to see what the scarred dragon just saw.

On the ceiling is a giant spider that is holding Luna in its web. The monster snarls and uses the same thing to grab Cadance, causing her to scream as she got hoisted right up to the ceiling.

"What is this?!" Shining demanded angrily. The spider jumps to the ground, landing on its ground legs before roaring into the heroes' face.

"Holy muchamole," Spike gasps in shock and alarm. "That is one huge spider!"

A familiar evil laughter is heard while leaving, "Sorry to leave you in the dust, everyone, but I got more chaos to spread. Ciao!"

"Discord," Shining exclaims in anger upon recognizing the shock. Discord left them this spider to be killed by.

"Come on, Shining, time we take this guy down!" Twilight exclaims. The group goes the spider's attacks as they battle it. Another song begins to play.

Cadance: We should've known not to believe
Then things would not have turned so bad

Shining: It's true his plan was to deceive
But that should not make you so sad

Cadance: But danger waits at every turn

Lorcan: And we are ready
To set things right here

Luna, trapped and unable to help, sang while the battle continues.

Luna: How can you say
That you will be okay?
And come back another day?

"Hang on, Cadance, we will save you! Give us a moment!" Shining calls out to Cadance.

"Shining," Cadance calls out. The group saw the spider shooting venom at them, causing them to dodge in time. The monster is now half the size it originally was.

Cadance: What will become of our dear town?
Now that we let our leader down?

Shining: You know, dear Sarah, that's not true
We can take this town, me and you

"And us." Everyone in Shining's group said.

Luna: There's so much danger yet to face

Spike: But we're not worried
Back home Shining hurried

All: Now we must stop
That evil Discord's scheme
And save our Halloween!

"Hang on, you can do it!" Cadance calls out to her friends hopefully.

"Yeah, you betcha we can!" Rainbow exclaims while hitting the spider in the face, causing it to roar in anger and pain.

Cadance: We should've known not to believe
Then things would not have turned so bad

Twilight: It's true his plan was to deceive
But that should not make you so sad

Lorcan: But danger waits at every turn

Rarity: And we are ready
To set things right here

Luna: How can you say
That you will be okay?
And come back another day?

"Stupid spider, you are making me angry!" Shining snaps at the spider angrily.

"Watch out!" Cadance warns the others as they dodge the spider's attacks.

Cadance: What will become of our dear town?
Now that we let our leader down?

"What?" Fluttershy ask in concern.

Shining: You know, dear Cadance, that's not true
We can take this town back, me and you

"And us!" The others in Shining's group call out in determination.

Cadance: There's so much danger yet to face

Rarity, Rainbow and Fluttershy: But we're not worried
Back home Shining hurried

All: If we work hard
We'll overcome our shame
And beat him at his game!

Soon the spider is at the size of a regular one. Rainbow frowns and stomps on it, killing it while snapping, "Good riddance!"

The group looks up to see that the rope is about to snap right out. Shining gasps, "Cadance!"

The rope snaps causing Cadance to scream as she fell. Luckily, Shining jumps up and grabs her in time. Lorcan grabs Luna and helps her out of the ropes as they land near their friends.

"Shining..." Cadance said to her love with a smile.

"Thank you, Lordcan." Luna said gently, relieved that her love has saved her.

Just then a dark portal appearing, the group saw a door that looks like a heart floated down in front of the group. Twilight takes it while asking puzzled, "Why is there a door shaped like a heart here?"

"Who cares? Let's get out of here." Rainbow said with a frown.

"Yes, I've have enough of this tomb for one after lifetime." Luna said as the group leaves the Underground Burial Chamber.

As the group stops near Cherrymon, Shining ask Cadance, "Cadance, are you all right?"

"Shining, you came back." Cadance said to Shining with a smile.

"We got your note and came to rescue you." Twilight said as Cadance takes out a key.

"You must rescue Lord Chester. This key will open the next gate to his manor."

The group took the key, Shining smiles as he said, "Thanks, Cadance. I'm glad that you're safe."

"We're all safe now that our Zombie Pony King has come back." Cadance said with a sigh. Shining pauses then realizes something.

"'Zombie Pony King'; Yes, of course, Cadance! That's it!"

"What is?"

"Yes, I am the Zombie Pony King! I can use my pumpkin fire to fight off Discord and his army!" Shining exclaims eagerly to Cadance. "Good thinking, Cadance!"

"Thanks, Shining." Cadance said with a happy giggle.

"No, thank you."

As everyone leaves, Lorcan looks bored as he remarks, "Mush."

"Now, now, Lordcan, don't be like that." Luna said while nuzzling Lorcan, making him blush like mad. Why did he have to go and say that around her for?

Author's note
Cool. Cadance and Luna have been saved. In the next chapter, we find out what happened to Lady Lesille and heads to Lord Chester's Mansion but must get a biscuit for Igor to get by him. Then they must fight off Rover.

Spike: Again?

Chapter 4: Getting into the Mansion

The group continues on their way to the mansion in hopes to get into the place and talk to Lord Chester. Shining recalls something that Cadance told him about before, "Before you go into Lord Chester's Mansion, can you come back here? Something has concerned me."

The group arrives at the town square and goes to the door that leads to the mansion. When the gang opens it, they hear screaming but not of fear but screams of fury. Then they see some of Discord's creeps running pass the gang in pure fear.

"What the heck is that about?" Rainbow asks her friends who shrug a bit, having no idea.

The group moves on further but saw a gate of electricity blocking the way to the mansion. Lorcan frowns while exclaiming, "Oh great; how are we going to get through that dumb gate?!"

"There must be a switch around here somewhere." Rarity said thoughtfully. "Perhaps we should go look for one."

"In that case, let's ask Lord Chester's new wife Lady Lesille. Perhaps she would know." Twilight said with a nod. Of course, the mare notices that the undead ponies got grim looks. "What's wrong? Did something happen?"

"Oh...yes, sadly. Shining, Twilight, sorry but...Lady Lesille is gone." Fluttershy said in sadness.

"Gone? What do you mean?" Shining ask Fluttershy in concern.

Rainbow explains, "While we were trying to find you two, those monsters attacked us. Lady Lesille tried to find out what happened to her husband and so...she sacrificed herself so we can escape."

"Yes, that was you found us when we were knocked out." Rarity said with a grim look.

"So she's dead?" Shining ask his friends in shock and sadness.

"Sadly yes...and since Lady Lesille is already dead, she will never come back." Luna said grimly. "If we gotten the Forbidden Book of Spells, we could bring her back...but as it stands, I'm afraid there's nothing we can do."

"That monster! How could this happen?! Discord is really getting his now!"

The group continues onward to a giant scaffolding. Shining uses his soul robber to head up with the others either holding on or flying. They came to a boarded gate that Twilight smashes with her magic, revealing a lever.

"There's a switch to turn the electricity off." Twilight said as Spike pulls the lever. Soon the power is heard turning off from it. That gate should be off now.

The gang then heads back to the mansion but just then a familiar hunchbacked assistant appears, blocking their way. Shining exclaims, "Igor! Where's Lord Chester?"

"You can't pass. Master's strict orders," Igor said to the group sternly. "Sorry, you know how he is."

"But we gotta rescue Lord Chester from Discord." Rarity protests to Igor with a frown. "Can't you make an exception for us?"

"Sorry, no. Master said if I let anyone in, I don't get a cookie...and I'm starving. Say...the Witches' Shop, can you bring me a cookie?"

"Fine, if we get you one, would you let us in?" Lorcan asks Igor impatiently.

"Yes, yes, I will do so for you." Igor said with a nod. "Get going, I'm getting hungry here!"

The group heads off to the shop. They should get a cookie/biscuit, give it to Igor and then the heroes are on their way to Lord Chester. But suddenly, before they can leave the area, a metal fence appears behind them, blocking all exits out.

Rover appears, exclaiming, "Ponies! Don't think I am so forgiving like Fido is!"

The other two Diamond Dos appears, Fido nods while saying, "I let you all win before!" Twilight roll her eyes, she knew that he would lie about being nice after his previous defeat.

"Shut up!" Spot snaps as he hits Fido on the head in annoyance.

"All right, time for some help!" Rover laughs evilly as he took out a wand and uses it. Ghosts came out of the ground, roaring. "Get them all!"

The heroes fight off the ghosts while dodging their attacks. Shining and Twilight combine their magic to destroy some of them. Spike and Lorcan uses their flames, Rainbow, Rarity, Fluttershy and Luna use their own attacks to destroy them all.

Once the battle is over, Rover looks confused as he asks, "Wait, where did ghosts went off to?" He yelps upon seeing the heroes glaring at him, "GOTTA GET OUT OF HERE!"

Rover jumps over the wall, disappearing from sight before the metal fences are gone. The heroes can now move onward now.

The trip to the Witches' Shop was a bust as the gang looks frustrated. Spike groans, "Oh man! I can't believe that all the cookies were eaten."

"Yeah, how will we get a cookie for Igor now?" Fluttershy ask in concern.

"Perhaps we should ask Apple Bloom. Let's see if we can borrow one from her." Twilight said thoughtfully.

Luckily, it didn't take long for Shining's group to find Apple Bloom. Lorcan spoke up, "Filly, we need that cookie so give it to us."

"Yew want mah cookies? No way, these are mine!" Apple Bloom protests to Lorcan with a pouty look.

"Look, I can be tough if I have to so..."

"Lorcan," Shining scolds Lorcan before turning back to Apple Bloom. "Sorry for Lorcan's usual rudeness. Listen, we need that cookie to save Lord Chester from the clutches of Discord. So if we can have it..."

"Awww, these cookies are mine!" Apple Bloom protests then looks at her cookie that she's holding. "Shucks, then again yew y'all need it more than Ah do. Tell yew what: Ah will give ya a cookie if yew passed mah quiz all about Halloween Town. It should be easy few yew, Zombie Pony King."

"Okay, give it to us, Apple Bloom!" Rainbow exclaims with a smile; A quiz to get a cookie, no problem (hopefully).

"First question: what day is Halloween?"

"October 31, what else?"

"'Dat's right!" Apple Bloom exclaims with a smile, "All righty, Question 2. How many hanging Digimon does Cherrymon have?"

"Five, we counted." Lorcan answers Apple Bloom correctly.

"Correct! Question 3, what color is 'de water in 'de town square fountain?"

"I believe it's green." Luna explains to Apple Bloom with a nod.

"YEEHAW; 'Dat's right," Apple Bloom exclaims eagerly. "Now fourth question: what is 'de main ingredient used fer Halloween?"

"Thrills and chills." Twilight answers Apple Bloom.

"'Dat's right! Question 5, what is 'de name o' de town where Shining an' Twilight lives in?"

"Halloween Town," Everyone in the group said at once. It's an obvious one.

"'Dat's right!" Apple Bloom exclaims with a smile. "Question 6, how many hooves does Shining have on his forelegs?"

"Four?" Rarity guesses Apple Bloom hopefully.

"Correct! Question 7, what is Shining's last name?"

"Armor," Shining said to Apple Bloom with a smile on his face.

"'Dat's right! O' course, Ah also would've accepted Sparkle." Apple Bloom said with a smile. "All righty then, next question: St. Patrick's Day, Independence Day an' New Year's Day. O' all dese holidays, which one doesn't have its own holiday door?"

"New Year's Day," Spike answers Apple Bloom's question with a nod.

"Right; Question 9, what color is Cadance's mane?"

"It's long dark violet, moderate rose and pale gold." Twilight said, recalling Cadance's mane thoughtfully.

"'Dat's right! Now then, question 10, how many bolts does Lord Chester have on a part o' his head?" Apple Bloom asks the group the next question.

"Eight." Shining said with a nod.

"Yew got it! Let's see how much yew know...shucks, unreal! A perfect score! Okay, everypony, a deal is a deal so here is my squirrel shaped cookie!"

Apple Bloom hands the cookie over to the group who takes it and heads on back. Now it's time to get by Igor.

Igor smiles as the group gave him a cookie and he ate it. The hunchback mumbles, "Cookie tastes so good."

"All right, we gave you your cookie. Now remember your promise to move aside." Shining reminds Igor of his promise.

"Of course, I always keep promises."

The group rush by him but before they could get into the mansion, a bolt of lightning nearly hit them, forcing the good guys to back away.

"Something isn't right here!" Luna exclaims with a frown before turning to Igor, who is covering in fear. "Where is that thing getting its power from?"

"Lord Chester got a big generator power over. You must smash it to make the lightning stopped." Igor explains to the group in worry.

"Well, that won't stop the lightning for long." Rarity said in concern. Even if the group turns the generator off, who knows how long before the generator is turned back on.

"Plus, even if we don't get fry from that thing, I know Lord Chester will try to do the thing to us." Shining said with a frown.

"Lord Chester must have a weak point of sorts." Twilight said with a frown. "But what..."

"Wait, perhaps we should ask Cadance." Fluttershy said thoughtfully. "She has been with him longer, right? Perhaps she may have an idea or two."

"Good idea, Fluttershy. I will go back to ask her." Shining said as he gallops off to meet up with Cadance. "Also, Cadance might also tell me why she wanted us to meet her back there anyhow."

It was a while later when Shining came back with deadly nightshade, frog's breath and worm's wart along with a list. The stallion said, "Hey, I'm back."

"About time; what is that stuff you got for anyway?" Spike asks while glancing at the items held by Shining.

"These are the ingredients for the Sleeping Soup that Cadance makes whenever she needs to sneak out. When Lord Chester drinks this stuff, he will be out like a light from what Cadance herself told me. Of course, she usually cooks the soup inside the mansion...and we can't get inside right now."

"Allow me, big brother!" Twilight exclaims as she uses her magic to mix all the ingredients together. The others watch as the mare makes the Sleeping Soup. "There!"

"Good work, Twilight!" Shining exclaims as he takes the soup. "Now time to deal with that generator. Let me get that gate out of the way first."

The others look amazed as Shining turns into his Zombie Pony King form. Luna said, "Impressive."

Shining blows fire right at the gate, causing it to burn to the ground. Once the stallion is back to normal, the gang goes through a maze like area, dealing with electric fence. Once they found the generator, Shining, Twilight and Luna destroyed it.

"Take that, feeble generator!" Luna exclaims in determination.

"Okay, that electric rod should be turned off now!" Rainbow exclaims with a smike. "Let's get into that mansion!"

The group goes back to the road to the mansion but find monsters infesting it. Igor appears to be gone. Fluttershy ask in worry, "Where's Igor?"

"Must be in hiding; Come on, we should find him, Shining." Twilight said to Shining seriously.

The group goes up to the mansion, not bothering with the monsters in their way. They came into the place and hear a familiar voice greeting them, "Hey, pooooooooonies! I was wondering if you would show up!" The gang looks up to see Rover at the top of the railing near an elevator, taunting them all, "Ha ha ha! Think you could reach me?! Try it, it's so much fun! I am having a ball already!"

A large ball came out of a tube nearby, going down the slide that is also a stairway. Rover laughs, "Hate to 'crush' your spirits, I only wanted to 'crush' your body; Ha ha ha!"

The gang groans at the bad puns made by Rover as they hurry up the stairway, dodging the large ball objects along the way. This goes on for a while until they reach the top. Rover yelps in alarm upon seeing them before he waves a white flag as if giving up.

"Sorry, sorry, only playing a trick." Rover apologize, making the gang roll their eyes. As if they could believe that.

The heroes head off, seeing Rover following them. Shining sternly demands, "We mean it, stop helping Discord or else!" The Diamond Dog shrugs as he place his arms behind his back as if playing innocent...just like Fido.

"Okie dokie lokie! Hee hee hee!"

The group moves onward, leaving Rover behind. The gang looks around and hears a noise like someone was trying to break a door down. They find what was causing the noise and hear it speaking while hitting the door, "This door and the beast of Discord will not keep me from saving you big brother."

The figure smashes the door open then rush through it. The others follow it, preparing for what could be the worst.

Author's note
The gang are inside the mansion but who is that figure wanting to save her big brother? In the next chapter, they and the figure teams up to fight Lord Chester, whose brain has been switched by Discord and his minions. And who is the big brother? Read, review and suggest!

Chapter 5: Mad Science

The gang keeps moving until they see the figure fighting more monsters of Discord and it was really one sided. After a bit there were no more bad guys left and it was speaking some more, "My big brother is here, I know it. I do not know why he took him here but it is a BIG mistake to have done that."

The figure rush off with Shining's group chasing her. The group enters the lab of Lord Chester, spotting their friend with his back turned to them. Shining frowns as he demands, "Lord Chester! Tell us, why are you doing this?!"

"And what are you doing to that alicorn?!" Twilight gasps in shock. Sure enough, there appears to be some sort of male brown alicorn with green/red mane and green/light brown tail with a gold heart cutie mark, wearing a golden plated chest armor, gold bracelets with green jewels and silver anklets with green jewels in a cage, getting zapped, with his power being used to powered up the machines.

The alicorn, cringing, looks up while saying, "Careful...he isn't himself..."

"Well, well, Shining, Twilight, glad to see that you all made it here." Lord Chester said sinisterly as he turns around in his wheelchair to face the group. "You all have been busy; I think it's time for you to rest."

Lord Chester opens his head to scratch his brain...except something is wrong: the brain is green with eyes in it!

"Eew, I think your brain needs some washing. Ha! Get it? 'Brainwashing'," Lorcan laughs a bit though the others shake their head. "Eh, I thought it was funny."

"Wait, of course! Lord Chester, they switched your brains!" Twilight gasps in realization. Of course, it makes sense now! The Diamond Dogs and/or Discord must've switched the alicorn scientist's brains! No wonder he has gone madder than usual!

Lord Chester closes his head as he then asks, "Well, shall we begin? You will like this device, Shining. I made it especially for you!"

Lord Chester turns the machine on, causing claw arms to open up with the guns in range of the targets. They then saw it: the alicorn's real brain on a table near the elevator...but where is that crazy figure that came in here a few seconds ago?

"We got to put Lord Chester's real brain in to save him." Shining said thoughtfully. "Okay then...if we were to open his head from behind, get in front of him and put his real brain in...of course! That should work!"

"Yes, perhaps that soup that Twilight has made could help." Rarity said thoughtfully.

Fluttershy got the idea: she held the soup and flies over to Lord Chester. The undead mare smiles while saying, "Excuse me. Lord Chester, sir? Before we fight, would you like some soup?"

Lord Chester's brain may have been switched but he still can't resist soup. The alicorn drank the thing...and as suspected the stallion fell asleep. Luna said quietly, "Okay, now we shall open his head and put his brain right back in."

The group nods as they head over to do the task. But while getting closer, Spike spots some gems on a table nearby and smiles eagerly. The ghost dragon prepares to grab the gems, unaware that he's about to knock down a stack of books.

Golden Heart, gasping, protests quietly, "Spike, no, no! Don't, no!"

But it's too late. As Spike pulls the gems off the table, he accidentally knocked the books off, causing a lot of stuff to fell. This woke Lord Chester from his sleep, who scowls angrily, "So try to get me, eh?! You got another thing coming!"

"Blast, looks like we will have to do this the hard way!" Shining groans a bit. The group begins to fight as Lord Chester blast them with his guns. During the fighting, the alicorn begins to sing.

Lord Chester: This town has changed, my boy
Since you went away
Without a Zombie Pony king
It's Discord's way!

Shining: Lord Chester Please!
Oh can't you see you're wrong?

Lord Chester: You were the king
But now you're nothing but prey
Discord is back
And he is planning to stay!

Luna: It's a crazy web you're weaving

Lorcan: Discord will soon be leaving!

Fluttershy: Lord Chester please!
It's not too late!

Lord Chester: All my machines will seal your fate!
My lasers will slice you
My knives will cut deep
And when it's all over
Cadance, she will weep!
Days of your good natured
Mayhem are through
I'll tear up this town
And I'm starting with you!

"Hang on; we will save you, Lord Chester!" Shining exclaims to Lord Chester as the fight continues.

"Please, stop this madness right now!" Rarity calls out to Lord Chester.

"Never, you dumb ponies!" Lord Chester exclaims. During the madness, a familiar figure is seen going over to Golden Heart, with plans to save him. The notes were gathered as another dance off begins.

Well now my boy
It seems you lost your crown!
In a few mere moments
You'll be six feet in the ground!

Spike: Stop at once!

Rainbow: Can't you see this is absurd?

Lord Chester: No more tricks!
Your friends are now your foes!
And now this dance is
Nearing its close!

Twilight: All these people that you're hurting

Lorcan: Oh, good doctor, it's disconcerting!

Fluttershy: Lord Chester please!
You're thinking is all wrong!

Lord Chester: In a moment finally
You'll be gone!

Shininmg: Your intentions are evil
Your thoughts are all bad

Rainbow: The "thing" that you work for
Is no more than a cad!

Luna: When finally we get that
Foul brain out of you

Shining's Group: You'll see no more foes
But friends that are true!

The gang fires out musical notes, hitting Lord Chester, causing him to grunt; the mad scientist ask, "Do you like my inventions, everyone?"

"You got to control yourself!" Twilight cries out to Lord Chester. "That brain of yours is disgusting."

"Yeah, and not in a good kind of way," Spike said in agreement. The fighting and note gathering continues as Lord Chester fails to see the figure opening the cage, much to Golden Heart's notice.

Lord Chester: This town has changed, my boy
Since you went away
Without a Zombie Pony king
It's Discord's way!

Shining: Lord Chester please!
Oh can't you see you're wrong?

Lord Chester: You were the king
But now, you're nothing but prey
Discord is back
And he's planning to stay!

Rarity: Some crazy web you're weaving

Fluttershy: Discord will soon be leaving

Rainbow: Lord Chester please!
It's not too late!

Lord Chester: All my machines will seal your fate!

Soon the guns are wiped out as more notes are gathered. Shining calls out, "All right, we shall be done soon, Lord Chester."

"Blast you!" Lord Chester scowls angrily, unaware that Golden Heart is released to his cage. He nods and fly over to the alicorn's real brain while another dance off begins.

Well now my boy
It seems you lost your crown!

I'm the Zombie Pony King Shining!

Shining's Group: When this is all over
Good friends we will be!
You'll praise Discord no more!
You can take that from me!

Soon the notes hit Lord Chester causing him to yelp in pain. Suddenly the figure from before grabs the alicorn and put his head in a vise, trapping him. She yells out, "Now Big Bro, now!"

Golden Heart, using his magic to hold the alicorn's brain, quickly opens Lord Chester's head and blast the fake one out, destroying it then puts the real one in. Once the head is close, the figure lets go with everyone backing off.

Lord Chester groans as he held his head, "Oooooohhhhh...my aching head..." Looks like the alicorn scientist has regains control of himself.

Just then the group saw another door appearing, much to their surprise. This time its shape is that of a clover. Spike said, "That's the St. Patrick's Day door."

"Nice, but who are you two?" Twilight ask Golden Heart and the weird figure. It looks like Pinkie Pie, but her mane and tail is flat...and she is even more creepy.

"My name is Golden Heart; this is my sister Pinkamena Diane Pie." Golden Heart explains to the group. "I have gotten word of the disappearance of various holiday leaders and trace them to Halloween Town."

"But then alicorn scientist knocked us out and took off with Goldie." Pinkamena explains to the heroes. "I chased him here."

"He was using my power to charge up his machines."

"Is that what happened?" Lord Chester asks with a groan as he came over to the group. "Everyone, I am so sorry. I didn't imagine that my brain was replaced with the town deceived...and Lord Lesille, my poor wife! Golden Heart, Pinkamena, I'm so sorry about what I did to you two."

"It's okay." Pinkamena said with a smile. "At least I know you didn't mean to...and I'm sorry about your wife."

"Lord Chester, the St. Patrick's Day Door!" Shining exclaims as he takes the door.

"Yes, that is a holiday door." Lord Chester said while looking at the door curiously. "Very curious..."

"It must have something to do with the disappearance of the holiday leaders." Golden Heart said seriously. Lord Chester did some more thinking then came with a big realization.

"Shining; what is the day of today?"

"It is...December 24th!" Shining exclaims in realization. "Gah! It is almost Christmas!"

"Oh great, why does this have to happen right near the holiday that we almost destroyed," Lorcan ask with a groan of annoyance, "Just great!"

"I hope Oswald isn't in trouble!" Spike exclaims in concern.

"I wonder what's happening with the Christmas door." Lord Chester said in concern. "We better find it soon!"

"We should check the pumpkin patch but it won't easy." Rarity said to Lord Chester in worry. "Discord's monster has taken control of the pumpkins at the entrance. No one could get in."

"Lord Chester, if you want redeem yourself, can you find us a way to get us into the pumpkin patch?" Luna asks Lord Chester with a nod.

"Yes, perhaps...I know! We will scare those monsters out of the pumpkins! Give me a moment!" Lord Chester exclaims as he goes off in his wheelchair to make something.

Cadance chose that time to come in with a green present. The stitched pony asks hopefully, "Is Lord Chester himself again?"

"Your daddy got a headache the size of his brain!" Pinkamena exclaims to Cadance, making the alicorn look at her oddly.

"What my sister Pinkamena means is that he is okay." Golden Heart assures to Cadance with a smile. "Your father's brains were switched but we switched them back."

"How did you two now that Lord Chester is her father or creator?" Fluttershy ask Golden Heart curiously.

"We can tell the similarities between the two."

"Anyway, Cadance, Lord Chester is helping us make something to help us fight off Discord's army." Shining explains to Cadance with a smile.

"I see, Shining. Do you think this might be helpful too?" Cadance asks as she gave a present to Shining.

"What is this?"

Shining open the box and look inside it. The pony touches it...and is suddenly transformed into his Oswald costume, much to most of the others' surprise.

Twilight exclaims in surprise, "It's Oswald's Costume!"

"Ooooh," Most of the group exclaims in awe.

"Wow, cool." Spike said in approval.

"Yes, that again," Rarity said with a nod.

"Neat!" Pinkamena exclaims happily with a creepy smile.

"Ugh, don't do that again, please! It creep me out." Rainbow said to Pinkamena with a shiver.

"Come on, why not?"

Lord Chester came back with some sort of device, giving it to Shining while saying, "Yes, that outfit suits you, Shining! I have completed my scare device! Can't tell you what is in it. That would ruin the surprise. Go to the pumpkin patch and use this to stun Discord's monsters."

"As long as it isn't an elf costume; I won't stand for it again!" Lorcan complains as the group leaves the mansion to head off to their destination.

"Lordcan," Luna giggles to Lorcan in amusement.

"What? I won't."

Author's note
All right, Lord Chester is back to normal (or what's close to it anyway) and now the gang are on their way to the pumpkin patch with Golden Heart and Pinkamena joining them. In the next chapter, the heroes go through the patch itself and takes on the last Diamond Dog Spot. Read, review and suggest.

Chapter 6: Smashing Pumpkin Foes

The group arrives at the pumpkin patch. If what Rarity said is true, the entrance is blocked. The white unicorn said, "I truly hope this works."

"Of course it will work." Shining said in determination. "Lord Chester did make it. All his creations are perfect."

"Oh yeah, sure, perfect." Lorcan remarks sarcastically. Then he snaps normally, "Not!"

The group goes inside the pumpkin patch, finding three pumpkins in the way. Golden heart said, "Those must be the possessed pumpkins."

"Are those possessed? Don't look like it." Pinkamena said as while glancing at the pumpkins.

Shining changes into his Oswald Claws outfit then said, "All right, time to figure that one out. Merry Christmas," The stallion toss the device right at the pumpkins.

Soon the device was activated, causing the heroes to see the ghosts. Rainbow exclaims, "All right, awesome!"

"Time for us to be rid of these pests," Luna shouts out sternly.

The heroes use their surprise and attacks to get through of the ghosts as they go through the patch. Eventually, they came across a broken bridge with many smashes pumpkins before stopping.

Twilight saw Sulley and spoke up, "Sulley! That pumpkin patch is one mess."

"Tell me about it, it's those blasted Diamond Dogs. They ruin the bridge and broke it. Even the Big Pumpkin Head...they are eating as well." Sulley explains to Twilight while looking down, "My precious pumpkins."

"Betcha they aren't going to be using it to making pumpkin pie." Spike said to Rarity who frowns a bit in agreement.

"Come on, we should get to the Big Pumpkin Head and investigate." Shining said in determination. "Come on, follow me!"

As Sulley wave goodbye, the group goes further into the pumpkin patch. Just then a familiar loud scream is heard, along with microphone feedback. Twilight remarks, "Brace yourself, the fake ruler of Halloween Town wants to talk."

"Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3; I am on, right? Wonderful." Discord's voice remarks with a chuckle, "Citizens of Discord Town! I have found out that Shining Armor and his sister Twilight Sparkle has come back! According to the reports, they along with their friends are enjoying our dangerous town so much that they are practically SCREAMING in horror! Ha ha ha! Rejoice! This is thanks to your efforts; Spot, my prodigal son, my shining star. Go finish what your half-witted, half alive playmates started. Because if you don't, trust me. There's more than half a chance that I will be very angry in my chaos magic. Ha ha ha ha! Oh, and while you're at it, Spot; don't make a pig out of yourself. Your mission is to destroy Shining and his posse, not eat until you blow up! Good day."

Once the announcement is over, the heroes look concerned. Fluttershy said, "Well, that announcement is...well...nice."

"And a very weird one that we heard all day," Lorcan exclaims with a frown.

"Forget the announcement; we must get over to that Big Pumpkin Head." Shining said sternly. "Come on!"

The group walks on, then stopped at a curled root that blocked their way. And who to appear but those Diamond Dogs, apparently up to no good again! Spot smirks while asking, "Hey Shining, Twilight? Want some candy?"

"No, we had enough of your dastardly treats!" Rarity snaps to Spot sternly.

"Awww come on, the fun has gotten started!" Fido protests to the good guys stupidly.

"Right, our biggest trick is to come!" Rover laughs madly to the heroes.

"Yeah, you all may as well be so lost! And after what we did to the Mayor's house...oops! I wasn't supposed to tell any of you that. Later!" Spot exclaims quickly as the Diamond Dogs rush away, leaving the heroes alone.

"I wonder how we are going to get by this thing." Rainbow said while frowning at the root. Golden Heart uses his magic on the root, causing it to uncurl. "Thanks, Golden Heart."

"It's my pleasure. Come on." Golden Heart said as the group goes up the road.

"Uh oh," Twilight said in concern as she stops a bit. "I think I see what Spot means by getting lost."

"Why do you..." Spike begins to say but stops as the gang looks shocked at what's inf ront of them: a maze. "Oh man!"

"Come on, it's no big deal!" Pinkamena exclaims with a laugh. "We just move on, move slowly and make sure nothing bad goes wrong, right?"

Of course, some monsters came out of the ground to attack. Rainbow groans, "Pinkamena!"

"Oops, sorry."

"Come on, we should find some scarecrows." Luna said sternly. "Maybe they can help us get out of this maze faster."

The group fights off the monsters while Luna hit the scarecrows, causing roots to be uncurled. They continue onward, doing the same thing over and over again. Soon they made it to the exit, although exhausted and tired.

"Man, I would never look at mazes the same way again!" Rarity complains a bit.

"Tell me about it." Spike remarks in agreement.

"That's the Big Pumpkin Head. Hurry," Shining exclaims as she rush off to the direction of the Big Pumpkin Head.

"Couldn't we have rest for a moment?" Twilight ask Shining with a sigh.

"Afraid not in this case," Golden Heart remarks as the group follows Shining to where he's going. No rest for the wicked, one may say.

The gang soon found a creature called the Big Pumpkin Head then saw a bigger maze where they are smashed pumpkins all over with ghosts coming in and out of the Big Pumpkin head itself.

"They are attacking from in there!" Shining exclaims in realization.

"Oh dear, oh dear," Fluttershy gasps in worry and alarm. You can tell that this undead pony is getting scared big time.

"Don't worry, Fluttershy, we are here for you." Rarity said, calming down her scared friend.

Golden Heart glances at a small curled root hanging from the Big Pumpkin Head, saying, "Here's an idea: we should climb up and have a look."

"Good idea." Pinkamena said. Shining uses the Soul Robber and gotten to the top with some of his group hanging on. Those who can fly just flew up there. Upon arrival, the pink pony asks, "Any idea on how to get inside?"

"Perhaps we oughta cut the top off, like a pumpkin on Halloween." Rarity suggests making Fluttershy yelps a bit. "Oh, sorry, I forgot how you are with knives."

"Well, there's a hole over there, we shall try that." Fluttershy said nervously as she points to a hole on the Big Pumpkin Head's surface. That's an option.

The group jumps through the hole, with Spike landing face first. As they got back up to her feet inside the thing, more skeletons appear, making Lorcan groans, "Aww, crud! Not more of these things!"

"I got these." Luna said as she fires a blast, getting rid of the skeletons before they are gone.

"All right! Good thing I got you, babe!"

The gang saw an opening and jumps into it to the next room which is filled with ghosts. Rainbow groans, "Awww, man! Skeletons, now ghosts; I wish Celestia was here to help!"

"We will have to hoof it." Twilight said with a nod. The group combines their attacks, wiping out the ghosts in the room. Another opening appears into the floor which they jump through.

In the next room, Shining's group now enters an area filled with possessed items. Lorcan sighs in annoyance, "The possessed items are getting to be a bad habit."

"Tell me about it." Pinkamena admits with a shrug as she got her knife out.

Shining turns into his Oswald Claws outfit to scare the monsters out of the items with the presents. The others destroy the monsters after a bit of difficulty. Soon another opening appears in the floor which they all jump into.

"All right, hopefully we can find the jerk behind this madness." Rainbow mumbles to herself. Sure enough, they saw Spot with two small skeletons eating some small pumpkins, "Yep, got my answer."

Spot turns and looks shocked upon seeing the heroes. The Diamond Dog yells, "What; how did you make it through my maze?!"

"All right, Spot, time to teach you a lesson," Shining said to Spot sternly.

"You won't beat me!"

Spot got out a pumpkin gun and open fire at the heroes whose dodges his attack. Twilight fires a blast, knocking the Diamond Dog's gun away from him. He frantically jump around, firing fireballs at the gang whose dodge his attacks.

"I have enough of this." Golden Heart said sternly. The heroes kept dodging the attack as Golden Heart, Luna and Twilight combines their attacks to knock Spot right into a wall, causing him to groan and fell to the ground in defeat.

As Spot groans on, another portal appears as another holiday door appear, this time it's one shaped like a turkey. The group takes it while Shining crawls towards the Diamond Dog, as if to try at least to force him to stop serving Discord or else.

"Listen up, pranks are one thing, but making real danger is something that isn't a good thing." Shining said sternly to Spot making him chuckle nervously.

"Sorry, Shining." Spot said as Shining spots a key near the Diamond Dog and takes it.

"Now then, no more serving Discord, got it?"

"What if me and my boys do not want to stop causing mischief and causing trouble to you?"

With that Golden heart looks at Pinkamena with a nod and she pops right in front of Spot making him jump a bit and is push at a tree as she says, ""If you do, I will hunt you and your friends down and make your lives such a living nightmare that it will be worse than Rarity's whining. You got that mutt?"

"Okay, okay, no problem!" Spot said placing one hand behind his back. Of course, Twilight saw his fingers crossed, making her suspicious.

"Hmmm," Twilight said with a frown. Something tells her that Spot won't go up to his promise, even under threat.

With that, the group leaves the Big Pumpkin Head as Spot waves goodbye, before smirking a bit. Those heroes have no idea as to what they will get into next.

Author's note
Spot is defeated but he'll be back. In the next chapter, the group helps Mr. Mime whose cycle has gotten out of control, the vampires who are stuck in bat form, and found out Discord's plan involving kidnapping the holiday leaders. Then they must help the Mayor who is trapped. Read, review and suggest.

Chapter 7: Helping Friends

The group, leaving the pumpkin patch, heads off as Shining remarks, "Well, we are done with the pumpkin patch; Time for us to check on the Residential Area to look for anything happening there."

"Right, the gate is right behind the Town Hall." Twilight comments as the group go up to the Residential Gate. The mare tries to open it but it won't give away, even with her magic. "No good, Shining. It's locked and this thing cannot be opened even with magic."

"Hang on." Golden Heart said as he lower his horn, sending a glow right into the lock. Soon the gate is unlocked, allowing the group to enter. "There we go."

"Wait, wait, you can do that?" Spike asks Golden Heart in amazement.

"Yep; Goldie got some unlocking cool powers!" Pinkamena explains to Spike happily.

In the Residential Area, the group heard someone yelling, "No brakes; look out!" The group run into the area and found Mr. Mime on his unicycle...which is going out of control with the Pokemon doing his best to keep himself balance. "Someone help me before I crash into something!"

"What's going on here?" Rarity asks the witches who are nearby.

The first witch explains, "I was on my way home to get supplies when I heard the screaming. I saw Mr. Mime riding around like. Those Diamond Dogs must've put some motor in his unicycle because now he won't stop it."

"So how can we get the unicycle under control?" Luna asks the first witch curiously.

"The only way it seems to do so is to remove the motors and no amount of magic can do so. Don't you got anything in your bag that can help, Shining?"

"Well, a good shock might get the engine to stop working." Shining said thoughtfully. The stallion turns into his Oswald Claws form and throws a present at Mr. Mime's unicycle. It stopped...but only a few seconds before starting up again.

"So much for that idea," Lorcan remarks with a groan.

"Hmmm, well, the only way to stop Mr. Mime is to use a tool to take the motor out by hand." The first Witch said thoughtfully. "But where can we find such a tool?"

"I got this." Rainbow said as she takes out what appears to be a familiar device from the mansion.

"Where did you get that?" Twilight ask Rainbow in concern.

"Oh, I took it from Lord Chester's place before heading off to the Pumpkin Patch. Figure we would need it."

"Yes, good call." Golden Heart said as he takes the driver from Rainbow, giving it to Pinkamena. "Pinkamena, if you please?"

"Okie dokie lokie," Pinkamena laughs madly as she rush over to Mr. Mime on all fours with Shining following her. The stallion stops the unicycle with one of the scare present. This allows the pink pony to use the bone driver to get the engine right out of the unicycle.

Soon Mr. Mime came to a stop. As his friends came over, the Pokemon groans in exhaustion, "Finally, I've stopped. Ooooh, my eyes are spinning. Ugh!"

Mr. Mime threw up as the others turn away to avoid seeing him gagging. Once the Pokemon's done, they turned back to him with Fluttershy ask, "Oh dear. Mr. Mime, are you okay?"

"Sure am, thanks. Though I sure hope those Vampire Quartet up the street are okay. I think I saw some of Discord's goons going that way when my cycle went outs of its mind.

"Say, didn't Spot mention something about the Mayor's house?" Spike asks, recalling what Spot mentioned before.

"Hope so too, but the gate is locked so we can't get through." Shining explains to Mr. Mime with a nod.

"Well, that's no problem! I got a secret lever on top of my house!" Mr. Mime exclaims to Shining with a grin. "I shall open the gate up for you, consider it thanks for saving me. BTW, the vampires' houses are on the other side."

Mr. Mime heads off to open the gate. Pinkamena joked, "Not much of a secret anymore, eh?"

The group heads off while Lorcan remarks, "I hope those blood suckers can keep their teeth away from me."

"Lorcan, you're a ghost and the vampires only scare, not suck blood." Twilight points out to Lorcan with a frown.

"Don't care, those vampires annoy me."

The group enters the Vampire Mansion, looking around with Rarity calling out, "Hello, anyone here!"

"I guess they aren't. Come on, let's get." Lorcan said as he prepares to leave but Luna grabs him with her magic, "Loony!"

"Thank, look, there's a note on the table." Luna said, spotting a note on a table nearby.

The gang looks through the note carefully. Fluttershy looks worried as she said, "Eep, not good. According to this, those four are trapped in bat mode and can't change back unless they are back here."

"Hoo boy, how will we help the Vampire Quartet?" Spike asks the others in concern.

"We just got to go looking around the Residential Area some more." Twilight suggests as the group leaves the mansion. "Perhaps we gotta catch them and bring the vampires back ourselves."

Upon arrival, the group saw a black bat flying near the gate. Lorcan jumps up and grabs it, saying, "Hey, Loony. I got a bat!" The bat bites him, causing the ghost dragon to let him go, "OW; you mother bucker!"

The black bat taunts Lorcan, "Come and get me, shorty!"

Lorcan, eyes twitching, ask angrily, "What?"

Luna sighs as she uses her magic to grab the black cat. The mare said, "This must be Count Bloodcount. The other three must be in the Residential Area somewhere. While I go put this one back inside the mansion, you all must split up to look for them."

"Right, good idea," Shining said with a nod. "If we find them all, we can get back on track and find out what Discord is up to."

The group goes into a group of three. One group goes right onto a rooftop while two more goes into the sewer. Rarity comments, "Better search those sewers than I do. At least we can avoid being attacked by those blasted monsters this way."

Just then a familiar scream and microphone feedback is heard. The group groans in annoyance as Discord makes another announcement over the speaker, "My dearly adored denizens of Discord Town. Thanks to my infamous thinking, not only have I decided to not only became the ruler of this place but all the other holidays as well. Soon we will be able to celebrate 'Chaos Day' seven days every year...and I will be the Seven Holidays King! The plans are set so I will secure the final holiday myself. I do have a debt to replay after all. Stay tuned. Ba ha ha ha ha ha," More feedback is heard as Discord adds, "And on a side note, some of our friends are coming to visit our fair Discord Town. So do not forget to welcome them with open arms and a couple of bows to them. That's all. Good day!"

Discord's feedback ends as a concerned Golden Heart said, "I think I may have figure out what happened to the other holiday leaders..."

The group spots a bat with horns flying to them. Golden Heart grabs him while saying, "Bowser; Right?"

"Of course, it's me! Now change me back right now!" Bowser demands to Golden Heart, making the alicorn sighs in annoyance.

"You see, you got to earn your normal self back, not demand it."

"Unfortunately, he can be a bit stubborn at times." Shining said to Greasy with a shrug.

Shining's group goes back into the mansion. Luna and Golden Heart put Bowser and Bloodcount back into his coffins before closing the lid for the first one.

The coffin shakes before the lid opens, revealing Bowser back to normal. The koopa said, "Thank goodness I am back to my old self."

"What happened?" Shining ask Bowser in concern.

"Oh, well, the other vampires and I opposed Discord's plan, told him that this wasn't the Halloween you wanted. But then that monster tricked us and trapped us in our bat forms."

"Well, that explains it."

Rarity closes the lid to Bloodcount's coffin. It shook before the vampire came out, back to normal. Bloodcount groans, "Thank goodness I am back to normal. You still need help in finding Horseula and Duckula. They got the last two pieces needed."

"Oh...my strength," Bowser groans a bit.

"You look undead tired, perhaps you should rest." Rarity suggests to the vampire in concern.

"Ja, for centuries we have been entrusting to guard the keys to the Mayor's home. Like I said before, Horseula and Duckula has the remaining pieces of the puzzle."

"We will give you guys our parts." Bowser said as he and Bloodcount gave the first two pieces of the keys to Shining.

"Right, we're counting on you guys." Horseula said with a nod. That's two pieces down, where's the next two?

Just then, the group spots Pinkamena, Rainbow and Fluttershy coming in with a bat with a duck bill before they put him into his coffin. The lid was shut tight before the coffin shook a bit.

Duckula, back to normal, came out while exclaiming, "Yes, I'm normal and better again! Here, Shining, take this."

Shining takes the third part of the key while saying, "Thanks, rest easy."

Just then, the group saw Lorcan, struggling with a horse like bat, coming in with Twilight and Spike, the scarred dragon remarks, "Wasn't easy but I got the blood sucker...oh, and Spike and Horseula too."

Twilight frowns as she uses her magic to grab Horseula, putting him into his coffin before the lid closes. The coffin shakes like mad before the horse vampire came out, back to his vampire self.

"Here is the last piece, Shining." Horseula said as he gave the last piece of the key to Shining.

"Thanks." Shining said with a grin. Now the group got all 4 pieces in all!

The vampires' coffin lids open up as Bowser remarks, "Thanks you so much for your help. Now it's time we tell you about Discord's plan. He has kidnapped all the other Holiday Leaders."

"What," The heroes gasp in shock and alarm, especially Golden Heart and Pinkamena.

"Yeah, he dragged them here and stole the Holiday Doors from the Hinterlands." Duckula explains to the good guys. "Those Diamond Dogs hid the doors in each area of the town to keep the leaders from returnign home."

"So that's it, the leaders of Thanksgiving, Easter, Valentine's Day and the rest of the holidays are being held prisoner in this town somewhere." Shining said with a frown.

"I thought there was something suspicious when we tracked them here." Pinkamena said with a nod. "So why did old, big and ugly kidnapped the holiday leaders?"

"Discord wants to take over the other holiday and become the Seven Holidays King." Bloodcount explains, much to the shock and anger of the heroes.

"THE SEVEN HOLIDAYS KING; that is intolerable!" Shining exclaims furiously to the vampires.

"And not right. No one would want to celebrate a holiday involving the same figure every year!" Twilight exclaims in agreement. Discord is going too far this time. Bad enough that he has taken over Halloween Town but now the other towns of the other holidays, especially Christmas, is in danger as well!

"Right, unless you find the Holiday Doors and put them back into the Hinterlands, you won't return the Holiday Leaders even if you were to find them." Horseula said with a nod. "Get those doors back and stop Discord and his army!"

"Right, but we need more info on the location of the next Holiday Door." Golden Heart explains to the vampires.

"Right, but where can we look?" Spike asks with a frown.

"Why don't we talk to the Mayor? We have all the keys so we can get inside now." Twilight suggests to her friends with a thoughtful look.

"Right, come on, to the Mayor's house!" Shining exclaims as the group leaves the mansion.

The Mayor's home looks like her head except with a hat on, the latter is being used as a tower. The group arrives as Lorcan glances at the home itself, remarking, "Sounds like this mare is wanting some major attention."

"Here's an idea!" Spike exclaims with a grin. "Perhaps if we were to put the pieces into the places of the Mayor's face, we can get this door unlocked."

"Good idea...though how did you know that the door was going to be locked?" Twilight ask Spike puzzled.

"Come on, after what we've been through. We got to deal with another locked door in this adventure one way or another, right?"

"True."

The group put the key parts into the right places and looks at what they have made. Fluttershy smiles while saying, "A puzzle! Oh, I love those."

Shining goes up to the door, just then a familiar voice yell out, "Shining, up here! Please hellllp!" Everyone looks around to see where the Mayor is at, especially when the stallion came back up, "Hellllp!"

"What?" Rarity asks as everyone looks up. They see the Mayor, in her sad expression stuck in a cage near the very top of her own home.

"Hellllp!"

"Oh dear, it's the mayor!" Fluttershy gasps upon seeing the Mayor's predicament.

"We got to get her down." Luna said to the others sternly. "We better take the stairs inside."

"But do we really have to go up there?" Rarity whines a bit. "Can't I just teleport or we fly up there?"

"We are all exhausted from our fighting so far, so it's best to go in by foot. Let's go!" Shining exclaims everyone goes inside the house. They have to rescue the Mayor and in a major hurry!

Everyone rush into the house, finding a stairway like the one back at Lord Chester's place. They run through it, fighting off any monsters that get in their way. They fight continuously while Golden Heart and Luna perform their alicorn magic to destroy their enemies.

Once the gang reaches the top, they found the Mayor waiting. Shining exclaims, "Mayor! Are you okay?"

"Shining! You have no idea how happy I am to see your pony corpse head. I thought I was going to be stuck here forever!" The Mayor exclaims in relief to see Shining. Golden Heart uses his unlocking power to unlock the cage, allowing her to come out with a happy expression.

"Do you know where the Holiday Door in the Residential Area is at?" Rarity asks the Mayor curiously.

"I believe I saw some of Discord's goons right on my roof. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they got it with them."

"Better climb down from here and get to somewhere safe, Mayor." Shining said to the Mayor in precaution. "We don't know how ugly this could get."

"Thanks, Shining and friends, good luck!" The Mayor exclaims as she went downstairs. The group meanwhile goes up the stairs until they found the door to the roof.

"We better be careful. Who knows what we will find out here?"

"Right," The group said as they enter the rooftop, knowing that they themselves will be in a major battle soon.

Okay, the gang has freed the Mayor but what will they find on the rooftop?

Lorcan: As if we didn't know.

Me: Right, for in the next chapter, the Diamond Dogs return for one final round. Then the heroes must go through a cavern to find the holiday leaders and Discord. Read, review and suggest.

Chapter 8: Diamond Dogs' Final Fight

The group came onto the roof and looks around for any sign of Discord's minions...and looks annoyed upon seeing three familiar mutts waiting for them in their bathtub. Shining said, "Well, well, if it's isn't those three Diamond Dog pranksters again."

"I knew they wouldn't keep to their word." Lorcan said with an annoyed sigh.

"Let's guess, you're working for Discord again, right?" Fluttershy ask the Diamond Dogs who came to the center of the rooftop with nasty smiles on their faces.

"Who said anything about working? We're playing!" Fido laughs to the heroes with glee.

"As well as winning," Rover remarks in agreement.

"Want to go another round, ponies and friends?" Spot teases the good guys, challenging them to another fight once more.

"Like you all had a choice!" The Diamond Dogs exclaims at once.

"Time that you three learned that even every game must come to an end as well as this one." Shining said sternly. He covers his face then reveals his scar one, roaring right to the Diamond Dogs, "HAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

The others jump a bit...but the Diamond Dogs taunts the good guys. Fido slaps his rear while taunting, "Over here!"

"This way, yes, this way," Rover exclaims with a mad laugh.

"Ha!" Spot remarks with a smirk.

"You know, I'm getting enough of these mutts." Spike remarks with a frown.

"I know...song cue!" Pinkamena exclaims as the heroes prepare for their fight. They then begin fighting off the Diamond Dogs who run around in their bathtub, throwing attacks. During this time, the Diamond Dogs begin to sing.

Shining: Stop! We've had enough of you!

Luna: You've instigated chaos here
And turned this town onto its ear!

Put Shining to the test!
Keep him guessing all the time
Never let him rest!

Spot: Then Evil Discord Man

Rover: Can take the whole town over then!

Fido: He'll be so pleased, I do declare!

Diamond Dogs: The whole world should beware!

Golden Heart fires blasts at the hot tub, causing it to break. The Diamond Dogs abandoned the tub and run separately, using their attacks onto the heroes.

"We will take you down this time!" Rover remarks to the heroes sinisterly.

"You are in big trouble this time!" Twilight snaps to the Diamond Dogs, firing magical blasts.

"Right," Rarity exclaims as she kicks at Fido, knocking him to the ground. Once the heroes gotten enough notes, both sides begin having a dance off.

Fido: Now that Discord is the king
We get away with everything!
You cannot scold us for our pranks!
The new King Discord, let's give thanks!

Pinkamena: Don't be foolish! Think now
All this danger isn't fun and games!

Golden Heart: When this town is back to normal
Do you really want the blame?

Diamond Dogs: Hail to Evil Discord Man!
This is so much fun!
We make mischief day and night
Our work is never done!

Rainbow: We told you once, we told you twice
To straighten out your act!

Lorcan: You'll never get away with this
And that, you mutts, is fact!

Fluttershy: We had enough of this disgrace!
So take us to the hidden place!

Spike: Where our friends sit locked in a cage!
Or you will face our rage!

"Wheee! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha..." The Diamond Dogs laughs as the notes knock them away. They grunt and got back up, resuming the attack.

"No way you can win this time, Shining!" Fido remarks while throwing a punch at one pony whose dodges.

"You mutts are in really big trouble." Shining said sternly as he kept up the attack on with his magic and Soul Robber. More notes are gathered during the fighting.

"Ha ha; we won't be beaten!" Fido taunted the heroes though Luna knocks him back with her magic.

"We will see about that!" Shining snaps in determination.

"Right, time to finish this," Pinkamena said with a mad laugh.

During the fight a shadow was watching and morphing into the good guys and other things and saying, "By will of Discord, must guard caverns from foes by Discord's law."

It then goes into the ground and moves to the caverns to wait for the heroes. Once all the notes are gathering, both sides danced off once more.

Fido: Now that Discord is the king
We get away with everything!

Soon the notes are sent right at the tub, hitting the Diamond Dogs. The mutts fell right to the ground and fell unconscious, seeing stars literally.

Just then a door shaped like a fire cracker came out of a dark portal which Golden Heart takes. Once the Diamond Dogs woke up, Shining frowns while saying, "It's time to teach you trio a lesson."

"Let me help...I've warned Spot of what would happen." Pinkamena said with a mean face. She and Shining trots to the Diamond Dogs, their faces became more demonic with each steps.

The Diamond Dogs yelps and whimper while backing off. Golden Heart said, "My sister warned you. Now it's time to pay the price."

"Right, who wants to go first?" Shining ask the Diamond Dogs sternly.

Suddenly the Diamond Dogs smirks evilly, no longer frightened. Rarity gasps, "Wait, it's a..."

"TRICK OR TREAT, PONIES," The Diamond Dogs laughs sinisterly.

"What," The heroes yelp in shock. Before they could react, the Diamond Dogs rush over to a button though Spot trips and was left behind. Needless to say, his colleagues press the said button.

A hole appears beneath the gang, causing them to scream in alarm as they fell in. As the hole close, the Diamond Dogs laugh cruelly.

"They fell for that one! Ha ha ha ha," The Diamond Dogs laughs madly. Maybe now, their boss will handle their enemies.

The group continues falling inside the hole. An annoyed Lorcan ask, "Okay how are we falling again?"

"I don't know." Spike said with a yelp of alarm.

Shining spots something and grabs those who can't fly, yelling, "Hang on, non-flyers; Flyers start flying; Soul Robber!"

Shining uses his Soul Robber to grab onto a rock in time, dangling from it. The non-flyers held onto him while the ones who can fly manage to do so in time. Twilight sighs in relief, "This day has turned even more chaotic by the moment!"

"Tell me about it. Those dogs will regret what they did." Lorcan groans as Shining swing himself and the non-flyers to the safely of a edge. The flyers land nearby him.

"So where are we now?" Fluttershy ask meekly and in concern. The gang looks around to see their new location as they go into a cavern: one filled with lava and traps, "Oh my."

"This place must be filled with Discord's traps." Shining said with a frown. "As long as none of us falls into the lava though, we should be safe."

"Right, let's go find those Holiday Leaders...if they're here." Rainbow said in determination.

The group goes through the cavern, dodging the torture devices. Luna trips and almost lost her flight, falling into the lava at some point but Lorcan and Spike saved her in time. The alicorn smiles as the group moves on.

Just then, a familiar voice is heard via scream and feedback, "Ha ha ha ha! Shining and friends, you are going to be torn into pieces, it is so much fun! Do you really think you're going to make it out of here alive? Why, it's sooo entertaining as in watching you run from my traps down here! Ha ha ha ha! And if you survive this...well, you will be in a surprise when you face me. I shall see you soon."

The feedback comes to an end as the group looks concerned. Spike comments, "Looks like we will be seeing Discord soon."

The heroes move through the caverns, coming to another room. Upon arrival, they gasp and saw some figures in seven cages. Golden Heart exclaims, "It's them! The Holiday Leaders that were missing!"

"Right, the same ones that those vampires told us about," Pinkamena said in agreement.

"I recognize this cage. It's a part of a well in the town square; this place must be where it leads." Shining said with a frown. "So...where did Discord put Oswald Claws...if the rabbit is kidnapped as well?"

The group saw a passageway door, then nod while heading on as Rarity comments, "Oh, I sure hope that we save Oswald Claws and stop that monster's terror."

"Uh, doesn't she means Oswald the Lucky Rabbit or Oswald Claus?" Pinkamena ask Golden Heart puzzled.

"Must be how they say his name in this place. Come on." Golden Heart said as he and Pinkamena follows the group.

The heroes are heading off to fight Discord to save the Holiday Leaders, but who is that shadowy figure? In the next chapter, the heroes take on Discord...or what looks like him. Also, one of them gets kidnapped before the gang heads to the Hinterlands to replace the fake doors with the real ones. And who are Lorcan Hyde and Roclan? Read, review and suggest!

Chapter 9: Restoring Holidays

It took a while but the group enters a pitch black room. A familiar chimera is there, glowing more greenish due to the lighting of the area that he's in.

"Discord, we demand that you return the Holiday Leaders to their worlds at once!" Shining demands to Discord sternly.

"Oh, the leader of every holiday is right where they should be...and you're looking at him." Discord said to Shining slyly.

"Where's Oswald?" Twilight demands to Shining angrily.

"Right, where are you holding him?" Golden Heart demands to Discord with a frown.

"Uh, yes, weren't you all listening before? I said I have a debt to repay ol' Oswald Claws...one I intend to pay back in person!" Discord explains to the heroes with a chuckle. This means that the chimera hasn't captured Oswald yet but he plans on doing so soon. "But of course, I don't want any of you to make any trouble during my little visit...so I've hidden the Christmas Door behind something quite nasty. Well, in the meantime, how about some fun, shall we?"

"Great, just what we don't need, irony," Lorcan said with a groan of annoyance.

"The Discord Casino is opened for everypony!"

As the whole place is lit up, the gang saw themselves on a roulette wheel. Rainbow exclaims in annoyance, "You gotta be kidding me! We got to go through this again?!"

"We oughta. I'm sure if we were to find some notes, we can have another dance off to win this, right?" Fluttershy ask her friends meekly.

The group jumps in Discord ask, "Now, what is it we gambling for, you may ask? Nothing much...just your lives! Cue the music!"

As the next song begins, the heroes dodge Discord's chaos magic, trying to attack them as he sings.

Discord: Well well well
Look what the bat dragged in!
Shining, you made it this far?
Oh, I'm really scared!

Shining: Discord, we're here to finish this
Once and for all!

Shining: You're jokin'! You're jokin'!
I can't believe my ears!
You're jokin' me! You gotta be!
Best laugh I've had in years!

Spike: We hope you did amuse yourself
With this, your little fling!

Luna: You'd better pay attention now
'Cause he's the Zombie Pony king!

Discord: You think you are winning
But that's a lot of noise!
Just to be a sport, dear fools
I'll share my Chaos toys!

Shining's group grabs some bombs while Discord tries to suck them in. The shadow beast however ate a bomb while he sings with the ghosts.

Whoa-oh!

Ghosts: Whoa-oh!

Discord: Whoa-oh!

Ghosts: Whoa-oh!

Discord: Whoa-oh!

Ghosts: Whoa-oh!

Discord: I'm the Chaos Makin' Man!

The bomb blows up inside Discord, making him tumbled down before getting up. As Twilight glares, she fails to see three figures coming up behind her.

"So you all have made it this far?" Discord taunts the heroes sinisterly.

"Release the Holiday Leaders!" Pinkamena demands furiously to Discord.

"Right now," Rainbow remarks in agreement. Some notes are grabbed as another dance off begins.

Shining: The leaders of the holidays
Must right now be set free!
Release them all at once
Or you will have to deal with me!

"Us too," Most of Shining's group exclaims in agreement.

Discord: You beat my men
So what? Big deal!
You even ran the maze!
You still can't stop me!
I'm the king of Seven Holidays!

Whoa-oh!

Fluttershy: Whoa-oh!

Discord: Whoa-oh!

Golden Heart: Whoa-oh!

Discord: Whoa-oh!

Rarity: Woah-oh!

Shining: I'm the only Zombie Pony king!

The notes were sent right at Discord hard, hitting him and sending him to the floor. The villain, exhausted and falling despite still being in the center, groaning, "You...you got some nerve to escape my perfect trap. But...the real losers are all of you, fools. He who has the last laugh wins!"

Lorcan just rushed at him, only for Discord to go into the floor, shocking the group. It then rise back up and hit Lorcan back to the gang.

"What is that?" Twilight ask in shock upon seeing what happened.

"I am not sure." Shining said in concern.

But Shining then see Pinkamena staring at it with Golden Heart as well. Pinkamena say, "That's the thing that knocked me out, Big Brother."

"I had a feeling that something much stronger would have took us off guard." Golden Heart said with a frown.

The gang is stumped by that and Fluttershy ask, "You know what it is?"

"Yes it is called a shadow beast. They can morph into anything and anyone at will and can use their skills and stats on their pray or targets."

"And trust us they are the last thing you want to meet." Pinkamena said in agreement.

The shadow beast turns into a familiar shadow as he jokes, "Good work, heroes, you beaten Discord's shadows. Neat trick, eh? Oh, and it looks like you're missing some pony."

The gang looks around making Spike gasps, "Twilight is gone!" It's true, Twilight is missing from sight.

"What did you do to my sister?!" Shining demands angrily to Shadow Discord.

"My new pals took her during the fight. You're all too late as the real me is in Christmas Town! Bye!" Shadow Discord laughs as he glows for a bit. The whole room shakes a bit before a white light flashes. Once it's done, the shadow beat is gone.

A dark portal appears as the Easter Holiday Door came out of it which Pinkamena takes. Fluttershy ask, "Where did that mean shadow beast gone off to?"

"Who cares? We got to find Twilight!" Spike exclaims in worry. "But who took her and where was she taken to?"

"That door is the Easter one." Shining said while glancing at the door being held by Pinkamena. "But where's the Christmas one?"

"I do not think it was ever here at all." Luna said in concern.

"We must make our way back to the plaza."

"Listen carefully, I will try to get the Holiday Leaders out, but I will need some additional help. Lordcan, can you do well without me?"

"Of course, just be careful okay?" Lorcan asks as he hugs Luna. The alicorn heads back to release the Holiday Leaders while the rest jumps into the hole, we can hear a splashing happening.

In the town square, the folks were around the fountain, as if wanting something to happen. Sure enough, like every time Shining enter the area every Halloween, the stallion came out of the fountain, the folks cheer wildly. Their Zombie Pony King is back!

Once Shining got out of the fountain, the others did so, landing gracefully...with Fluttershy crashing into Rainbow. The latter groans, "Fluttershy!"

"Sorry." Fluttershy said meekly to her friend.

"This must be where the hole leads to." Golden Heart said thoughtfully.

"Right, very neat!" Pinkamena exclaims with a smile.

"All right, we got to find Twiley...and Discord." Shining said sternly. If the heroes got to get to the villain, they must find the Christmas door and put it in the right place.

"And let's not forget to get some help for Luna. Even she can't handle the task for an alicorn." Lorcan explains to Shining in concern. "Those cages look locked up tight to me."

"You're right. Listen, Rarity, you, Rainbow and Fluttershy go find somepony who could help Luna free the Holiday Leaders. The rest of you, come with me so we can see if anyone knows where Discord has went off to and if there's any trace of Twiley."

Rarity, Rainbow and Fluttershy nods as they head off to find some help while the rest goes looking for someone who knows where Twilight and Discord are at."

Shining and his pals found Cherrymon and explain the situation. The Digimon looks thoughtful as he responds, "So you want to know where Discord is at? Yes, I believe I saw him going to Spiral Hill. If you hurry, you can save the Holiday Leader there."

"And Twiley," Shining ask Cherrymon in concern.

"Oh yes, I saw three figures carrying her off to the same place. I believe they look like Rainbow, Spike and Roclan...except they appear to be off somehow."

"Something off, eh; Well, no worries. Oswald and Twilight will be safe." Pinkamena said with a smile. The dragons looks worried for the Spike and Lorcan part.

"While we're around, no one shall harm Oswald and Twilight while we're around." Golden Heart said in determination. As long as the heroes are on the job, no one shall bring harm to his good friends.

"Thanks, Cherrymon." Shining said as the group goes on their way to Spiral Hill.

Town Hall has since been repaired. Rarity's group goes inside to find the Mayor at her podium, working or whatever it is that she's doing. The white unicorn spoke, "Mayor, we got a favor to ask of you."

"Right, Discord's lair is under this town and the five Holiday Leaders are being held prisoner there." Fluttershy explains to the Mayor.

"What," The Mayor gasps in shock and alarm upon hearing this.

"Right, Luna is helping them...but she may need some help in releasing them."

"We got to go back to Shining and follow Discord while saving Twilight. While we're done, we like you to help Luna release the Holiday Leaders from the dungeon." Rarity explains to the Mayor kindly. "Once they're released, escort them to a safe place until this mess is fixed. Then you can return them to their world each."

"So you wish me to help Luna rescue the Holiday Leaders?" The Mayor ask the good guys curiously.

"Yes, it will be nice." Fluttershy said with a nod.

"Of course, friends, you can count on me! I won't let any of you along with Shining down!"

The Mayor trots off to go help Luna release the Holiday Leaders. Rarity's group head out. Now that task is done, they need to find Shining and the others to find Discord and save Twilight.

Rarity's group arrives at the gate, waiting for Shining and the others who arrive. The stallion explains, "Okay, Cherrymon told me that Discord is heading to Spiral Hill...and there are kidnappers that looks like Rainbow, Spike and Lorcan heading there as well with Twiley."

"What? That's crazy! Who would look like me and kidnapped Twilight," Rainbow demands angrily to Shining. Someone who looks like her has kidnapped Twilight with the Spike and Lorcan lookalike's help?!

"That I don't know."

"Well, the Mayor is going to help Luna take care of the Holiday Leaders." Rarity explains to Shining with a smile. "With that problem being taken care of, we can go after Discord now."

"Right, won't be easy though. While we were coming back to you all, someone has knocked down all the gravestones that causes Discord's monster to show up." Shining explains to his friends seriously. "Also, the gate to Spiral is locked up; the key to open it is in the Graveyard somewhere."

"Great, just great," Lorcan exclaims with a groan of annoyance, "Now what?"

"Well, we will need your glowing scar again...and Spike's help. You two up for the challenge," Shining ask the two dragons hopefully. "We need your help to find the Spiral Hill gate key."

"Of course; I am ready to help." Spike said with a smile. "Right, Lorcan?"

"Fine, let's get this over with." Lorcan said with an annoyed sigh. "The sooner we find that dumb key, the better."

The group enters the graveyard, going through it with Spike and Lorcan leading. A lot of monsters show up, though the heroes wipe them out quickly. Golden Heart comments, "We must be getting stronger through every battle we dealt with so far."

"Right, these dumb monsters fall easy!" Pinkamena giggles as she slashes at a monster in her way.

The heroes kept on going through the monsters. Soon they found a grave nearby that held a key as Lorcan points, saying, "The key is in there."

"Yeah, there it is!" Shining exclaims as he takes the keys. "Thanks, guys!"

"No problem." Spike said with a nod. "Now then, shall we keep going?"

"Normally, the dog in the game would go back to his grave after he's done...but we can get away with minor differences in this story." Pinkamena said to the camera happily.

"Pinkamena, you are really random than Pinkie Pie is." Rainbow sighs in annoyance and embarrassment.

The group returns to the gate, unlocking it and moving onward. More monsters at half the second half of the graveyard which they destroyed; soon the heroes arrive at Spiral Hill which appears to be eerily calm; Odd.

Of course, the group goes up to the hill, spotting a statue next to it. Fluttershy ask puzzled, "What is that thing?"

"Hmmm...Discord must've made it so that no pony can enter the Hinterlands this way." Shining said, seeing Spiral Hill curled up. With it like that, there's no chance that the gang can get to the Hinterlands and fix things.

"What about the statues under it?" Rainbow asks as the group spots four statues under the first one. Odd, there's something familiar about them.

"Wait, I got an idea!" Pinkamena exclaims eagerly. She took out four of the Holiday Doors and put them into the statues. Soon the first statue plays a sad while Spiral Hill uncurled.

"Nice idea, Pinkamena. Of course, we will have to leave these Holiday Doors here for now, we just need two to bring back to the Hinterlands." Golden Heart said thoughtfully. "Of course, some of us will have to stay here to make sure the bad guys don't try to keep us from coming back or until the place is clear."

"Well, Shining. Fluttershy, Rarity and I will deal with things here." Rainbow said to Shining with a grin. "Just fix things and find Twilight, okay?"

"Right, thanks, guys." Shining said with a smile, happy for his friends' usual assistance. Just then, they saw a familiar alicorn on Spiral Hill. It's Cadance! A shocked Shining spoke up, "Cadance, what are you doing here? It's too dangerous!"

"I had to warn you: Discord is heading for the Hinterlands...and Twilight is being taken here as well. I got a bad feeling that more trouble will come should you go this way." Cadance said to her love in sadness. Shining, touch, trot up Spiral Hill as he begins to sing.

You give me strength to show you care
I cannot fail with you so near
I know I'd be lost without you

Cadance with a smile sang with Shining.

Both: We'll stand together, now and forever
And I tell you, this very troubled night
That we will set things right

Shining takes Cadance's hooves, the two loves smile to each other. The Zombie Pony King looks into the alicorn's eyes while saying, "Cadance, it's okay. No one will stop us from returning Halloween Town back to normal. You'll see."

Shining then nods to Lorcan, Spike, Golden Heart and Pinkamena who follows their friends as they head off to the Hinterlands. Rarity calls out, "Good luck!"

Cadance gave out a small smile on her face. The mare knew in her heart that Shining can fix everything...hopefully.

The group looks around their new surroundings, which is now black and white. Shining frowns while saying, "Hmmm..."

"Man, is this place black and white or what?" Spike asks in concern. "It's like something bad has happened."

"It has, listen; Spike and I will put the St. Patrick's Day Door back in its place. The rest of you do to the same for the Independence Day one."

"Right; once we're done, let's head back to the entrance." Golden Heart informs everyone.

Shining and Spike heads to the path that leads to the St. Patrick's Day Door while the others go down the other one; The stallion calls out, "Remember, find anything suspicious, bring it back with you! It might help us out?"

Shining goes down the path until he found a tree that has a door that looks like a clover...but Discord's face is right on it. The dragon frowns while saying, "I've seen enough of that ugly mug on the real thing!"

Shining put the real door back into place. Soon the Discord door begins to break until it was completely destroyed, allowing the real St. Patrick's Day Door to go back to where it belongs. A white flash appears. When all is clear, the tree is gone with color returning to the area.

"Well, that explains what happens when a Holiday Door is put down." Shining said with a nod. The stallion and Spike saw another path opening up, going down it.

A minute later, the duo found the tree with the Independence Day Door just as it begins to flash before disappearing from sight. Golden Heart, who put the door back into place, say, "Amazing..."

"Looks like we came here in time."

"The tree's gone." Pinkamena points out to Shining with a smile.

"Right, the color is back at least." Spike said with a nod. The group saw another path opening before they took the left one. Soon they found a tree that has a Discord door that looks like the Easter Holiday one, "Aww, man. We don't have that door."

"Time for us to go back and..." Lorcan was interrupted as the way out was blocked off. More monsters appear, "Oh great, more of these creeps?!" The scarred dragon yelps as one of the monsters hit him. "Ouch!"

"Oh, they really made me mad!" Spike exclaims angrily as he saw what happened to Lorcan. He shoots out a huge inferno that hit the monsters, destroying each and everyone one of them. Soon they are gone.

"Dang, bro; remind me to never get on your bad side."

Just then something fell to the ground, they spotted that it's the egg-shaped door with Discord's face right on it. Shining mumbles in interest, "Hmm..."

"Looks suspicious," Golden Heart said with a frown at the door.

"We got this done. The other path probably leads to another Discord door."

The group moves on, finding another door that is the Thanksgiving Discord one being guarded. Shining and the ones with him got rid of the creatures before getting it then go back to the entrance. The gang goes through more paths, destroying the monsters and taking the remaining doors which are the Halloween and Valentine Day's doors with that monster Discord's picture right on them.

"And what are we supposed to do with these ugly things?" Spike asks his pals as they go back to the entrance.

"Perhaps...if we replace the Discord doors with the real Holiday ones back at Spiral Hill...yes, we could put all the doors back into place!" Shining exclaims thoughtfully. It could work and the gang won't have to worry about Spiral Hill being curled up again.

"Wowie, nice idea, you're a genius, Shiny!" Pinkamena exclaims to Shining with a smile.

"But there's still the Christmas Door left to find." Golden Heart reminds the others. "And we still haven't found it. I wonder where it could be."

"Let's go back to the others and tell them our plans." Shining suggests as the group leaves the Hinterlands to inform Rarity's group of the idea.

The group returns to Spiral Hill, the ones who remain there saw them with Rarity waving, saying, "Shining, over there!"

As the gang came closer, Rarity, Fluttershy and Rainbow saw the Discord doors, making the yellow one ask, "Why are you carrying those ugly things with Discord's face on them; If you don't mind me by saying so."

"Just take the doors and follow us." Shining instructs the mares as he and his friends switch the Holiday Doors with the Discord ones, allowing Spiral Hill to remain uncurled. With that done, they head back to the Hinterlands, explaining the plans to the ones who stayed behind.

"So any idea where the Christmas Door is at," Rainbow asks her friends curiously.

"Well, that Discord feast said that he hid the door in something 'quite nasty'." Lorcan explains with a nod. "But what does that mean?"

"Not sure...but we got to hurry and find it if we are to..." Shining begins to say to his pals but three figures appear, blocking their path. "Whoa!"

"You shall not prove, mortal." A robotic voice said; the one who spoke looks like Rainbow Dash, but has more metal figures, black slippers and a glowing red light. Two beings with her looks like Spike and Roclan, except the latter is adult form in a baby dragon size and the former is more grayish with a dark glow, with a scar on the right side of his head. "The Rainbow Droid is here to serve Discord."

"Hi, Daddy! Miss me?" Lorcan Hyde laughs madly to Spike.

"Hyde..." Spike said with a frown on his face.

"Friends of yours," Golden Heart ask Shining and the ones who lived in Halloween Town in concern. "The dragons I mean."

"Lorcan Hyde, Spike's evil double, and Roclan whose is mine was a result of a spell gone wrong." Lorcan explains to Golden Heart with a frown. "As for the Rainbow Droid, not a clue."

"Lord Chester made the Rainbow Droid...well, let's say he did while he was still bad." Roclan laughs madly. "And we got a surprise for you."

"Shiny, ponies!" A familiar voice is heard. The gang gasps as they saw Twilight tied up to a tree nearby.

"Twiley," Shining exclaims as he tries to get to his sister but the bad guys block the way.

"Now it's time to die, mortals. You shall not succeed!" Rainbow Droid booms as the next fight begins between both sides. "You won't find out what Discord is planning on doing."

"Wanna bet?" Rarity asks the trio of bad guys with a frown.

"Lame, cliché," Lorcan Hyde remarks with a scoff as he grabs Rarity, smirking in an interesting way. "But I can take you out of the battle the gentle way if..."

"Get your claws off her!" Spike snaps as he tackles Lorcan Hyde, making him let Rarity go.

"Fight!"

The Rainbow Droid fires lasers right at the good guys who dodges them, Roclan fires an ice spell at Rainbow who dodges him. The mad version of Lorcan booms out, "When we're done, it will be Discord Day from now on!"

"Over our souls it is!" Rainbow yells out as she spins around a few times, hitting Roclan down on the last spin.

"Take this!" Golden Heart exclaims as he send down a thunder spell right onto the Rainbow Droid, causing it to scream a few times. The dragons slash at the good guys with their claws, causing them to yell in pains.

"We got to put an end to this!" Fluttershy cries out in worry. "Somepony is going to get hurt."

"Allow me. Soul Robber," Shining exclaims as he uses his Soul Robber to grab the dragons, then begins spinning the two doubles around.

"Hey, let go, release us!" Lorcan Hyde demand, getting a bit sick.

"I am the Zombie Pony King; Ha ha ha ha!"

"Prepare to..." Rainbow Droid was cut off as Pinkamena jumps in and slash her a few times. The droid blinks then fell to pieces, literally.

"Man, glad Pinkamena is on our side." Rainbow said to her friends while motioning to Pinkamena, causing them to nod slowly in agreement. That is one pink pony you don't want to cross.

"Let us go, right now!" Roclan demands angrily to Shining.

"If you wish," Shining laughs as he tosses the two dragons into the air. Golden Heart's horn closes as a portal appear, Lorcan Hyde and Roclan screams as they fell through it, disappearing from sight before the portal closes.

Meanwhile, Spike and Fluttershy quickly unties Twilight, releasing her. The purple mare exclaims, "Thanks! But what did you did to those two?"

"I send them to the portal to another universe. We won't see those two again." Golden Heart said with a slight grin.

"Thank goodness." Spike groans a bit. "I have seen that fake too much for one after life time."

"Twiley, you're okay." Shining said as he hugs Twilight, the siblings laugh happily. "I was worried that you would've been hurt."

"Shining, we're undead. Would being hurt be a problem?" Twilight ask her brother skeptically.

"Good point." The group spots a dark portal appearing on Spiral Hill and what came out of it? Yes, you guess it: the Christmas Holiday Door. The gang ran up to it as Shining takes it, saying, "All right, this fiasco is over. We have all Holiday Doors now."

"Right, come on, we have to hurry to Christmas Town." Twilight said with a smile.

"And save Oswald!" Pinkamena exclaims as the group heads off to the Hinterlands. Time to put all the doors back into place and get to Christmas Town in a hurry!

Twilight's saved and all the Holiday Doors has been found. Now it's time for one more detail. In the next chapter, after putting the Holiday Doors back into place, the gang goes to Christmas Town to save Oswald before he's crushed. Then it's time for the final showdown against Discord and his final form. Can they beat him once and for all? Read, review and suggest, folks!

Chapter 10: Chaos Discord!

Shining and his pals took their time but soon all the doors are put back into their original areas, the color is returned to the land. The gang then goes to the last door which is the Christmas one with Discord's face.

The group came to a circle of seven trees; each one had the Holiday Doors, the last one having the Christmas Discord one. Shining nods as he said, "All right, this is the last one."

The gang put the Christmas Door into place, causing the last Discord one to shatter, allowing the door to go onto the tree. It opens up, though nothing happens at first. Lorcan asks puzzled, "Well?"

"Give it a moment." Twilight said, recalling the last time that she and Shining thought that nothing happened at first.

Sure enough, a gust of wind came out of the door and sucks them all in. As the Christmas Door closes behind the heroes, they, minus Shining and Twilight

The Mayor works on helping Luna unlock the remaining cages. They have some extra help from Bugs Bunny, the Holiday Leader of Easter whose the Diamond Dogs has kidnapped by mistake before and whom they released first.

"Thanks for helping us despite the false kidnapping." Luna said to Bugs.

"No problem, Luna. I may have been spooked by the corpses and Diamond mutts, but there's no way that this rabbit can stay out of this rescue." Bugs said with a chuckle. The second cage is soon unlocked. "Okay, Turkey, you're saved now."

"Hey, thanks." The Turkey (from the Muppets franchise) said with a goggle.

"So who's next?" Luna asks with a nod to see which Holiday Leader to free first.

A pink haired fairy with wings named Cupid waved, saying, "Hey there, in here!"

"Yes, of course." Luna said as she fires a blast at the locking, freeing the fairy from his cage.

"Thank you, it's cramped in there. It's like I am doing this role again in another fanmake, you know?"

"Okay, you're next Lucky." The Mayor said as she and her group works on releasing the Holiday Leader of St. Patrick's Day, Lucky the Leprhecaun.

"Thank yew, lad. Just make sure not to go after me Lucky Charms." Lucky said with a smile, then pauses. "Why did I feel like I said that already, lads?"

"We don't know, it's hard to imagine." Luna said as the group unlocks the next cage, much to Lucky's approval.

"Thanks. We just need to unlock the last one."

"Yep, hard to believe four maroons are sharing the job as the Holiday Leader of Independence Day." Bugs chuckles as he nods to Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, Samuel Adams and George Washington, all of them are sharing the job. "Amazing, ain't it?"

"You better believe it." Lincoln comments as the last cage is finally unlocked.

"Shining, friends; I did it, I rescued the Holiday Leaders!" The Mayor exclaims with a smile at the task well done.

"We did all the work, doc." Bugs points out to the Mayor in annoyance. He hates it when folks steal his hard earned work.

The group lands in what some of them know as Christmas Town. What the gang saw surprised and shocked them. There are a lot of elves preparing for the Holidays...but the shock part is that some of the places are a wreck.

"We're here in Christmas Town again, but what happened to this place?" Fluttershy ask her friends in concern.

"Oh dear, something terrible has happened." Rarity said in concern.

"We gotta hurry!" Shining exclaims in concern. Discord has already been here, Oswald is in grave danger.

"We better help the elves first." Twilight suggests to her friends with a nod. The group needs to help the elves out with the problems before going after Oswald.

The group help the elves out as fast as they could. Once the heroes are done, they go inside Oswald's workshop where two elves, in red and one in green, came up to them. Spike begins to ask, "Hey, you two seen..."

Suddenly a familiar voice laughs evilly, "Ho ho ha ha ha ha ha!" Merry Christmas, fools!" The group turns to see Discord, the real one, in Oswald's sleigh, laughing evilly. But where's Oswald?"

A green elf looks up and gasps in horror, "Oh no! What's Oswald doing up there?!"

"What do you mean up there?!" Lorcan asks in alarm upon hearing that. The gang looks up and saw another shocking sight: there's Oswald, tied up in a rope while being hang in a hook over a railroad track.

Oswald struggles while demanding, "Put me down right now or I will blow my top! I will!"

"OSWALD!" Shining gasps in horror. What is Discord planning on doing to Oswald?!

"No, Oswald Claus!" Golden Heart gasps in shock and worry. This doesn't look good.

The gang heard whistling, turning to see a train coming right out of a tunnel, made in the sinister chaos fashion of Discord, and to make things worse, there's a huge knife right in front of the thing! The heroes realize what's going on, Discord is planning on dropping Oswald right after the train itself cut the rope that is out on the tracks.

Right now though, the train goes off in a different direction. Discord laughs, "Ho ho ha ha ha ha! Well, Shining, Oswald and friends? What will you all do now? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Yes, this will be fun to watch, it's payback time."

"We got to get Oswald down! But how," The red elf ask in worry. The two elves can't reach their boss and who knows if Shining and his pals can reach the rabbit in time?

Shining did some thinking then said, "Hmmm...perhaps if we were to change the tracks, we can buy Oswald some time then we gotta stop that train."

"Right, listen, you guys stop that train, we will free Oswald." Pinkamena suggests to her friends with a grin.

With that, most of the group begins their assault on the train while Golden Heart and Pinkamena work on saving Oswald from his tied up problem. Another song begins to play as this happens.

Shining: Oh no! Oh no!
There's trouble everywhere!

Twilight: Oh no!
There's smoke clouds in the air!

Golden Heart: Oh no!
I can't believe my eyes
We have to help them
Hurry guys, they wouldn't dare! Oh no!

Pinkamena: Oh no! Oh no!
There's something very wrong!

Rainbow: Oh no!
These things here don't belong!

Spike: Oh no!
The streets are lined with
Little creatures crying
All the others must be hiding
Christmas spirit is subsiding!
Oh no!
Oh no!

Rarity: The joyous decorations here
Are melting from the fire!

Fluttershy: No doubt the work of Discord!
Drat that no good liar!

Lorcan: There's fear in every window!
Oh, I can't believe my eyes!

Spike: And inside ourselves we feel to urge
To cut him down to size!

Rainbow: And there! Oh no!
His monsters have control!

Twilight: Look out!
It chills me to my soul!
No more!

Shining: They're gathering the presents to ignite them!
Don't they know who they are for?
Oh no!

Pinkamena: Oh no!
He's here! It's all part of his plan!
The nerve!

Lorcan: He's really gone too far!
This time!

Golden Heart: It's up to us to put a stop to this
Now is our chance we cannot miss!
This town's counting on us!

Twilight: So we must take charge and let them know!
The time is now
Fow them to go!
Oh where to start in such a mess!
Oh no!

Rainbow: Oh no, what now?
The peaceful town is ruined!

Fluttershy: And look, the Christmas tree is bare!

Rarity: Attacked! By someone, welcomed fiends!

Spike: I tell you I will snare them
And make sure they pay for their
Outlandish rude behavior...
Oh no!

Golden Heart: The cheerfulness is missing
And the wonder isn't here!

Lorcan: And in their place there seems to be
A paralyzing fear!

Pinkamena: Instead of songs, I swear
I just hear screaming in the air!

Shining: The stench of Discord
Is absolutely everywhere...
The ghosts, the ghouls!
They're everywhere and all around!
I've never felt so sad before!
This happy place in front of us is being trashed
So greedily, so greedily!

Rarity & Spike: It's tragic! Oh, it's tragic!
I can't stand and watch it burn!

Golden Heart & Pinkamena: We've got to save this Christmas Town!
And seize these monsters all about!

All: This must stop!

Soon the gang knocks the train right over the tracks, stopping it in time. Best of all, Golden Heart and Pinkamena are able to bring Oswald to the ground safe and sound.

"Whew, close one." Oswald said with a sigh. He looks up and looks shocked upon seeing the one stallion with the group that kidnapped him last year, "You again? Didn't you learn your lesson last year?"

"Oswald, wait, it's not..." Shining begins to say, feeling a bit worried and guilt-ridden. "I...I'm truly..."

"Don't blame him, Oswald. Shining has nothing to do with this." Twilight explains to Oswald gently. "Okay, maybe he and I left our home for a while which gave Discord the opportunity for his plan but my brother has nothing to do with this. Shining was trying to save you from Discord."

"Oh for the love..." Discord begins to say, slapping his forehead in annoyance, "Why can't anyone die around here! I mean, come on!"

"Give it up, Discord!" Spike exclaims with a frown. "All the Holiday Leaders are saved, the doors are put back into place, and we saved Oswald."

"Now give that sleigh back to Oswald at once!" Shining demands to Discords sternly.

"Right, I can't deliver any presents without it!" Oswald exclaims in agreement with his fellow Holiday Day. "All that entire year's worth of preparations will be lost."

"All the good kids around the world is waiting for Oswald!" The green elf agrees in worry.

Then something happens that caught Discord off guard and surprised the gang: they look up to see a familiar pink alicorn arriving in Shining's old sleigh, now fixed and better.

"Cadance," The heroes exclaims with smiles on their faces.

Just then two familiar figures came out, Bugs chops on a carrot while saying, "Eh, what's doc, Shin?"

"And Bugs with Luna," Twilight exclaims in surprise upon seeing Bugs. That must mean that the Holiday Leaders been freed!

"We have our own sleigh, Shining!" Cadance exclaims to Shining with a smile on her face. She lands the sleigh right onto the ground, getting out and coming over to Shining's group.

"Right, we can use the sleigh to chase Discord if he makes a run for it." Shining said with a smile. "All right, everyone, time we get him."

"Also, Luna and the Mayor had returned the Holiday Leaders to their rightful worlds."

"Right, would've gone myself but I wanted to help you guys out to make up for my arrival to Halloween Town the first time." Bugs explain to Shining and company. "Plus, to that maroon who kidnapped me, you realize this means war."

"All right, that's great news!" Twilight exclaims happily while hugging Cadance and Bugs. "Oh, this is going to be great, thanks! Now we just need to take care of Discord!"

"Uh, he's right there, we can get him now." Lorcan points out with a frown as he motions that Discord hasn't left yet.

"Ugh! Not that rag doll again! How many times must she get in the way of my plans," Discord scowls furiously. Quickly, he uses Oswald's sleigh to escape Christmas Town with the presents still in it.

"Spoke too soon, Lordcan." Luna said to Lorcan making the ghost dragon slap himself in embarrassment.

"Come on, Christmas will be ruined if we don't hurry!" Shining exclaims in determination. Discord must be stopped once and for all before Christmas is ruined.

"I managed to slip a Halloween present you gave me into Oswald's Sleigh." The red elf said to Shining with a smile. "It should activate during Discord's flight, scaring him and the reindeer big time."

"Nice work, time we get that big dumb meanie!" Fluttershy exclaims with a smile.

"Right, let's do this!" Spike exclaims as the group got into the sleigh with Oswald, then they flew right after Discord in hopes to put a stop to him once and for all.

"Ho ho ho," Oswald exclaims eagerly and in determination.

In the sky, Discord flew in the moon's light right in the sleigh. For a moment, the chimera didn't suspect anything...until the Halloween Present that the Red Elf put into the sleigh came to life. It make Discord yelp in alarm and fall right out of sleigh and out of the sky.

"Gah, no; Shiiiiiiingggggggg; you won't beat me this easily! I'm the Seven Holidays King!" Discord yells furiously. The villain of course didn't have time to stop his fall, but something did: him falling right into the center of a Holiday Junkyard. Discord got up, looking very VERY ticked off. "No! This cannot be happening; AAAAAARGGGGH!"

The villain begins to glow a dark purple aura, his rage builds up as he roars loudly, "Graaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaah!" Without warning, a lot of uncountable bugs and junk goes right into the glowing Discord, making him dark purple and causing him to grow like mad.

"Whoa, look!" Oswald gasps in shock. The group, who land the sleigh right near the area, turn to see a giant figure appearing right out of the Holiday Junkyard. It's Discord, but he appears to have fused with the trash and bugs of the place, making him big and vicious than ever. If there's a name for this form, it would be Chaos Discord!

"SHIIIIIIINGGGGGGGG!"

Discord madly causes the ground to shake twice by taking two stomps to his enemies. Twilight said, "Looks like Chaos Discord is ticked off."

"You think?" Spike asks Twilight sarcastically.

"Oswald, you get out of here. We will handle Discord." Shining said to Oswald in determination. The black rabbit is best if he stays out of harm's way right now.

"Right, Merry Christmas!" Oswald exclaims quickly as he prepares the Halloween sleigh for takeoff, "Ho ho ho and all that!"

Oswald quickly flew away in the Halloween sleigh as the group walk/trot towards Chaos Discord; this is it, time for the final showdown with every holiday at risk. As they stop, Lorcan spot two gas pipes that are broken, commentating, "Guys, I think I got an idea. Let's use those to our advantage."

The group goes to the second level, heading to one gas pipe. Chaos Discord goes towards them as Shining goes into his Zombie Pony King form and sent fire right onto the gas. An explosion occurs, damaging Discord some.

"YOU CAN'T STOP ME! TAKE THIS!" Chaos Discord roars as he send out random garbage right at the group who dodges them.

"Ick, this doc should've at least use his chaos magic or something instead of garbage!" Bugs exclaims with a frown on his face.

"There's some fires, come on, six of us will get them. We must keep doing this!" Twilight exclaims as she saw some notes.

Twilight, Rainbow, Fluttershy, Rarity and Spike grabs the floating notes, expecting another dance off; During this time, the rest in Shining's group continues their strategy on the next pipe, causing another explosion.

Chaos Discord begins to get weakened as Golden Heart yells out, "Take this!" The heroes combine their attacks, sending their enemy right to the ground. It looks like this is it, the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony has been defeated for the last time.

"Right, we did it!" Lorcan cheers on wildly. Looks like Chaos Discord has been defeated big time.

"Wait, don't celebrate yet..." Shining said with a frown. The stallion doesn't want to take any chances just yet.

Sure enough, Chaos Discord stood up...and the others look surprised to see that the villain has no injuries on him whatsoever! The fused villain smirks while saying, "Fools! I have been getting started!"

Chaos Discord slams right onto the ground causing some dust to fly. As the group gets ready for the final showdown once more, Luna exclaims, "It's time we end this! We shall use the notes!" The notes are placed as the final dance off begin.

"It's payback time!"

"Oh, is that all you've got to say?" Shining asks as he and his pals dodge Chaos Discord's chaos magic and his random garbage throwing. The villain then begins to sing.

Chaos Discord: Well, well, well!
What pests, you are!
Still around, huh?
Oh, can't say I like that!
So why don't you just give up?
You know, surrender!

Shining: It's over! It's over!
Your scheme was bound to fail!
It's over! You're finished here!
You're next stop will be jail!

Chaos Discord: They mock me! They fight me!
I don't know which is worse!
I might just split a seam now
If I don't die laughin' first!
Ha, ha, ha!

Shining now goes into his Oswald Claws outfit before tossing a few presents that exploded upon hitting Chaos Discord.

Golden Heart: What's this? A trick?
We're not impressed!
You're bad and now you're tall!
It makes it all the more worthwhile
To see a giant fall!

Chaos Discord: Talk, talk, talk! But I tell you
This giant's goin' nowhere!
If I were you, I'd take a hike!
There's danger in the air!

Woah-oh!

Luna: Whoa-oh!

Chaos Discord: Whoa-oh!

Pinkamena: Whoa-oh!

Chaos Discord: Whoa-oh!

Twilight & Spike: Whoa-oh!

Shining: I'm the only Zombie Pony king!

Shining send a lot of snowballs right onto Chaos Discord, hitting him before a large one hits the villain right in the face, much to Rainbow and Lorcan's amusement.

In Halloween Town, the citizens watch the scene through the fountain as the fate of the world depends on Shining and his group. Chaos Discord exclaims furiously, "Halloween Town is mine!"

"No, we won't let you have it!" Twilight exclaims to Chaos Discord furiously.

"Well aren't we confident?"

Shining turns into his Zombie Pony King form as the fight/dance off continues on.

Rarity: Well, we're feeling angry

Golden Heart: And there's plenty left to do!

Spike: We've fought your most unwelcome help

Shining: And now we're after you!

Chaos Discord: Even if you catch me
You could never do me in!
I'm ten stories high, and just as strong!
Which means I'm gonna win!

Shining: Whoa-oh!

Chaos Discord: Whoa-oh!

All: Whoa-oh!

Chaos Discord: Whoa-oh oh!

Shining & Chaos Discord: Whoa-oh!

All: Whoa-oh!

Shining: I'm the only Zombie Pony King!

Chaos Discord screams in pain as fire came right out of the ground and burns him like mad.

Cadance is seen elsewhere, looking worried and pray with hope that Shining and his friends can beat Discord. We can hear the stallion saying, "This ends here."

"I'm laughing to death!" Chaos Discord taunts Shining with a laugh.

"Oh, we can make that happen." Lorcan remarks madly. The big finish is coming up as Shining changes back to normal, singing next.

Shining: It's over! You're finished!
You'll never get away!
You? The Seven Holidays King?
That'll be the day!

Chaos Discord: How feeble! How childish!
Is that the best you've got?
You think that you're all heroes, fools!
But I think you are not!

"Is that so, doc?" Bugs ask the villain with an amused look on his face.

"I'm the Seven Holidays King!" Chaos Discord exclaims furiously to the good guys.

"More like the king of nothing!" Shining exclaims sternly to Chaos Discord.

"Time to finish you off," Luna said as the fight/dance off is to its close.

Whoooah!
Now it's time for you to see
What it really means to scare!
'Cause I'm a gamblin' Chaos Man
Although I don't play fair!

It's much more fun, I must confess
With lives on the line!
Not mine, of course, but yours, old friends!
Now that'd be just fine!

Whoa-oh!

Shining: Whoa-oh!

Chaos Discord: Whoa-oh!

Heroes: Whoa-oh!

Chaos Discord: Whoa-oh!

All: Whoa-oh!
I'm (he's) the only Zombie Pony king!

The final notes hit Chaos Discord yard, causing him to yell which echoes all over the place. Then something horrifying happened, this time to the villain. Chaos Discord's body to shake around then he gasps in fear and a lot of bugs become pouring out of his mouth, just like when he was defeated before!

"NOOOOOOO! NOT AGAIN, NOT AGAIN," Chaos Discord screams as more insects came right out of his body, much to some of the heroes' shock and disgust. His body begins to deflate as Chaos Discord groans, "My precious bugs, my precious bugs! My...precious...buuuuugs..."

"Happy holidays, Discord." Shining said to Chaos Discord with a smirk as the villain is about to deflate to nothing.

"Bah...humbug!"

Soon the only thing that remains of the Chaos Discord villain is his deflated body, crawling with insects. They stare at the sight while Lorcan remarks in disgust, "Ugh, I hope this is seriously the last time we take this creep on. Three times is my limit!"

Even Lorcan's pals agreed and hope that Lorcan is gone for good. Just then they heard familiar jingling in air, making them look up. Shining's group all smile as they exclaim, "Oswald!"

This chapter has references to Julayla's own fanmake of the actual game.

The aftermath of Discord's death has reference to 'Christmas with the Joker' episode of Batman: The Animated Series. Ironically, a pal of mine did a fanmake of the same episode with Discord as the Joker though Twilight (in her Mare Do-Well identify) is in the role of Batman.

Epilogue: A Scary Merry Ending

Oswald lands right near the group, the black rabbit of Christmas has recovered his sleigh; Bugs smiles while saying, "Eh, amazing. Ain't it?"

"Were you able to give out the presents in time?" Twilight ask Oswald hopefully.

"Whew, thought I was too late for a moment but I did. I deliver the presents in time." Oswald explains to the heroes with a sigh; Looks like the Holiday Leader has gotten the presents delivered to the kids in the nick of time.

"Good to hear that." Rainbow said with a grin. Oswald has gotten his job done, Discord is gone; everything is good again.

Well, almost. Shining looks down, the stallion still feel responsible as he left town to allow the Diamond Dogs to bring back Discord and cause all this trouble in the first place; And all because Shining wanted to make his Halloween even better.

Shining trots up to Oswald, saying, "Listen, Oswald...forgive me, I...I am sorry for causing you trouble again."

"Awww, don't be sorry, Shining. To be honest, I owe ya my gratitude this time! Thanks for saving me." Oswald assures Shining that no hard feelings are given. The stallion smiled, relieved that the Holiday Leader has forgiven him for the trouble.

"Hey, Oswald, all right if you drop me off?" Bugs ask Oswald with a grin. "The folks back at Easter Town are probably worried about me by now, and the last thing I want is Daffy trying to take over again."

"I know how that feels. Anyway, of course, climb on in!"

Bugs got into the sleigh before he and Oswald flew off into the night to return to the Easter Holiday home. The others wave goodbye as Shining sighs. At last, the nightmare, which isn't a very good one at all, is done.

"Well, shall we go on home, Shining," Twilight asks Shining with a smile.

"Yeah, come on." Shining said with a nod.

Halloween Town was back to normal (or what's close to it) by the time the heroes came back. The monsters that worked for Discord are gone, the places in town are fixed, and the citizens can do their usual thing again.

"So Golden Heart, since you and Pinkamena's mission is done, what now?" Shining ask Golden Heart curiously.

"Well, since it is Christmas, we thought to spend some time with you guys before heading home." Golden Heart said with a smile.

"Yeah, the scary merry way," Pinkamena laughs madly as she put a knife in her mouth. This of course freaks Rainbow right out.

Twilight looks up into the sky and seen a familiar figure flying through it in his sleigh. The purple mare asks puzzled, "Huh?"

"Is something wrong, Twilight?" Rarity asks Twilight puzzled.

"Right, waht's wrong?" Spike asks, wondering what Twilight is looking at.

Twilight grins as she said to her brother and friends, "For a moment, I could've sworn that..."

"Merry Christmas; Ho ho ho," Oswald is heard from his sleigh, laughing as he pass on by.

Luna looks up, smiling as she said, "Yes, Oswald has indeed came by to wish us a Merry Christmas, like he did before."

The others look up, smiling and waving to Oswald. The citizens came over, congratulating Shining and his friends for their victory. Everyone laughs as the couples kiss one another.

Lorcan spots three familiar mutts trying to sneak off. The dragon smirks to Pinkamena as he said, "Hey, Pinkamena. Wanna get payback on the ones who started this mess?"

"Yes, let's," Pinkamena said with a mad smirk on her face. She calls out to the Diamond Dogs madly, "Hey boys! YOUR NUMBER JUST CAME UP!"

The Diamond Dogs scream in terror as they run away from the laughing Pinkamena as well as Lorcan. Luna flew after them while saying, "I shall join them. I need to retrieve that book that they used to bring Discord so that this won't happen again."

"Well, Spikey-Wikey, everything is back to normal." Rarity said gently while nuzzling Spike. "Though, where's Shining?"

"I think I know." Twilight said with a grin. He knows where Shining will go to: reuniting with his love Cadance.

Shining trots up to Cadance, the two lovers smile at one another on Spiral. As they hug, the pink alicorn said, "Shining, I was scared. For a moment..."

"Yeah, it's strange, I know." Shining said with a chuckle. "Funny, whenever I set out to find something new, my eyes are opened to a larger world than ever."

"Wait, you aren't going to leave again...are you?"

"Of course; something tells me that even the most wonderful of discoveries...are a little closer to home."

The lovers smiles as they kiss one another. Two familiar ghosts, a unicorn and a dragon, smile and kiss before flying up to the sky, disappearing into the heavens. The star that the two were shine brightly before we fade to black; We can hear Oswald narrating.

"And finally, everything worked out just fine,
Christmas was saved, though there wasn't much time.
But, after that night, things were never the same,
Each holiday now knew the other one's name."

"And though that one Christmas, things got out of hand,
I'm still rather fond of that corpse pony man.
So many years later I thought I'd drop in,
And there was old Shining, still looking quite thin."

"With four or five unicorn or alicorn children at hand
Playing strange little tunes in their xylophone band.
And I asked old Shiny, 'Do you remember the night,
When the sky was so dark, and the moon shone so bright?"

"'When a million small children pretending to sleep
Nearly didn't have Christmas at all, so to speak?
And would, if you could, turn that mighty clock back you see
To that long fateful night? Now, think carefully, Shining."

"'Would you do the whole thing all over again?
Knowing what you know now, knowing what you knew then?'
And he smiled like the old Zombie Pony King that I knew,
Then turned, and asked softly of me..."

Shining's voice is heard saying with a chuckle, "Wouldn't you?"

Oswald is heard chuckling too as he said, "Because Christmas will come, now I bid you all adieu,
For the upcoming Christmas Eve, I'll see you soon."

The voice of Oswald's wife, Ortensia, spoke up, "I think it's time we get our kin, that's well
Besides, it's time for bed...Oswald."

Roclan and Lorcan Hyde groans as they find themselves in a strange land. The former groans, "Where are we?"

"I don't know but when we get out of here, Shining will pay." Lorcan Hyde said angrily.

"Hey, look, look!" A voice spoke up. The two dragons look up to see a couple of colored bears smiling to them. The one who spoke, Cheer, exclaims, "Some new friends!"

"Yay, let's give them a bear hug!" The bear known as Wonderheart exclaims happily.

The two dragons look at each other in horror then scream out at once, "NOOOOOOOOOOO!"
