Friendship Often Ends In Love
Chapter 1
Rainbow Dash was kicking the smooth, pale clouds out of the sky on one sun drenched day. She only had a couple more to kick away, so she raced towards the clouds, and drilled holes through them.
“Thank Celestia that I’m done, I couldn’t even take one more minute kicking them clouds away!” Rainbow spoke to herself. Just as she landed on the ground, she bumped into Big Macintosh on his daily stroll.
“Oh, I’m sorry Big Mac, didn’t quite see you there” the mare said in embarrassment, and laughed it off.
“It’s okay, Rainbow, I understand. Sometimes I’m a bit clumsy too…” he chuckled, “Well, I forgive anyway.”
“Heh, yeah. So, see you around!” She trotted off waving her hoof at him, as Big Macintosh sighed. Big Macintosh had a crush on the rainbow mane mare since they met, but he was too afraid to tell her his thoughts. He didn’t want to tell anypony else either, as his sister Applejack would shout at him, and laugh at him.
Big Mac got back to Sweet Apple Acres, and entered the family kitchen to find Applejack eating an apple. He had to tell his sister, he just couldn’t keep his secret in any longer.
“Hey, little sis, I have something to tell you…” his face was red, and you could notice he was full up of embarrassment.
“Big brother, don’t y’know how to stop embarrassing yerself in public yet? I mean, c’mon, it’s not that hard! You just need to…” her brother cut her off, as she yelled at him.
“No, it’s not that, it’s just, well, I bumped into yer friend Rainbow Dash today, and she seems really nice, and she is kinda pretty, too…” Applejack knew where this was going, and she refused to know more.
“Big bro, you can’t keep yer eyes on mah friends! And ah don’t think she likes ya, either. She’s had a crush on Soarin’ for the past 2 months, anyhow!” the orange country pony didn’t like this thought one bit, yet being humiliated.
“But lil’ sis, I want to at the least try askin’ her out, she seems a really nice pony, and ah’d love to know her more!” he cried, as Applejack couldn’t be bothered to argue anymore.
“Fine, you can try her, but don’t get yer hopes up! Besides, ya wont catch up with her whilst she’s flying!”
