It was a stormy night in Canterlot. A unpleasant wind went threw the air, And the sound of thunder echoed threw out the empty streets. The city lay silent, out of nowhere a clock tower rang Midnight.

Along the street walked a lonely pony, with a dark cloak to keep out the rain.

He slowly made his way along the paved streets.

Shortly he got to his destination, a old tavern, ''The Rusty Horseshoe'' it was called.

Slowly entering the pony noticed the huge crowd. Squishing threw the people he got to the bartender, it was a fat brown pony with a beer glass as a Cutie mark.

''Lucius, '' The hooded pony called him. The bartender walked up to the figure. ''You know why im here. So please make it fast,'' The mysterious pony asked in a very dark voice.

The barman nodded and pointed at a almost empty table with a lonely guard sitting there.

''Thank you, '' the pony thanked and went to that table. He sat down opposite of the guard. He didn't waste time for welcoming and got straight to the point

''Alright so what do you have for me?''

The soldier took out a letter and said '' You Know Who wants to see you at the location written down here, i was also asked to remind you not to draw any attention. You wish to keep this as secret as possible.''

''Alright, i will do my best,'' the hooded pony answered, took the piece of paper, and went out of the tavern.

He took a look at whats written and where he is suppost to go.

Once again he was making his way along the empty paved streets. He was slowly approaching a plaza infront of the Grand Clock tower when suddenly he noticed guard patrols coming from both the plaza and behind him.

The Pony quickly made his way to a dark alleyway. Hidden in the shadows he observed as the first patrol went passed him, right when the second patrol is about to pass a loud noise could be hurred from behind him.

A cat knocked down a thrown away vaze. ''We will check it out'' 2 of the guards said to the rest, as the patrol left the 2 went into the alleyway, The Mysterious pony kept moving back in the shadows until he hit a dead end... The guard continued moving deeper.

Then their eyes met. The hooded ponies and the guards eyes were locked on each other.

''Hey Smith i found someone!'' The guard called to his friend who quickly joined by his side.

''Who do we have here? Show your face and present yourself, '' The hooded pony stayed quiet. Trying to find a way out of the situation.

''Answer me or i will be forced to make you talk, who are you?'' the guard repeated himself. The hooded pony stood up from the shadows and faced straight at the soldier.

''None of your business'' he said without showing any fear or emotion at the guard.

''It is my business and duty to find out what you are doing here, '' The guard said back.

''Well im telling you it is not your business so step aside'' The pony said with annoyance in his voice.

''Looks like its the hard way for you, surrender or die, '' The Guards lifted their spears at the the hooded pony.

''Then i choose... die''  Once again the pony said without any fear. He got into a battle ready pose, a mischievous grin on his face.

''Suit yourself, '' one of the guards said and lunged their spear forward, with a fast move the hooded pony grabbed the guards spear breaking it out of of the guards hooves, half a second later the spear tip was in the guards neck. Blood slowly dripping down the spear and into the ground. The guard dropped dead into a floor.

Before the pony could gather his senses back the other guard, it was too late, the other guard stabbed him with his spear. The guard quickly dropped his spear and starting running trying to get to his fellow patrol.

The wounded hooded pony chased after him but he had no chance of catching up, then tripping on a part of the broken vaze that took the guards attention in the first place he fell on the floor.

Just before the guard left the alleyway a magical force started choking on him, and knocking him out to unconsciousness.

Out of the shadow came a noter hooded figure, the poor pony on the ground was surprised of what just happened, but as the other pony approached closer and handed him a hoof to help him out he didn't refuse.

They came out of the dark alleyway and found themselves on a lighted plaza. The injured pony took a look at his savior. It was a Blue pony with a lighter blue mane and tail. It looked to be a alicorn seeing it had a horn and wings.

The hurt pony grinned as he recognized his savior. Sudden shyness hit him.

''Princess... Luna, long t t time no see, '' The pony asked.

Both ponies took off their hoods and it turned out it was really the Princess.

The other pony was Grayish blue with a Dark gray mane but not because of his age but just because of his mane color. He was a Unicorn.

''Saving your flank, those guards would have torn you to pieces if they called for reinforcements,'' she answered.

''You... you will get in trouble for this.'' His shyness suddenly stopped  and he got more serious.

''If Celestia finds out what you did she will have you banished or killed,'' He quickly added. ''And you know how much i couldn't forgive myself if something happened to you''

''You worry too much Darklight,'' answered the alicorn letting out a small giggle.

Her giggling put a smile on his face.

''Yes i worry too much about you Luna... i dont know what i would do if something happened to you. Especially if it was because of me.''

She looked like she got touched by that, and came closer to Darklight nuzzling him on the nose.

''And i also worry about you Darklight, i cant imagine what would happen if he would call the other guards. Whatever i did was worth seeing you still alive, besides, even if you ran away from them i wouldn't get to see you now''

The two ponies looked into each others eyes, both smiling their foreheads pressed together.

''Since you are The Princess couldn't you tell the guards to stand down in that case?'' asked Darklight.

Luna lost her smile and answered ''My sister took that power away from me, i dont know why.''

''I think she is trying to get rid of me, '' she quickly added.

''Lets not worry about that right now, okay?'' said Darklight

''Alright, '' Luna answered.'' But we have a noter thing to worry about here. That wound in your body''

''Its nothing, its too shallow, and my organs are alright, '' The pony said

''But it still can get infected, come on, let me fix you up. '' Luna added

She said some sort of healing spell to clean the wound and then wrapped a bandage around it.

''Thank you'' Darklight thanked.

Luna looked at the bell tower and said''Hey Darklight, race you to the top of that tower!''

''No fair you have wings!'' He answered.

''Well you have skill,'' The Princess answered.

Before he could answer she already begun going toward the top, the stalion burst out from his spot following the alicorn.

Darklight quickly gain speed and was ahead of his friend. He jumped on the tower and somehow started climbing it.

Even thou Luna had wings she was no match for his speed. At the end The Princess tried her best and the spider like pony was loosing his strength. They got to the top on the same time. Both lied down on their backs, panting.

Luna moved closer to Darklight and they lied next to each other and gazed at the stars.

They lay silently like that for most of the night, then they both turned their heads to each other looking deeply into each others eyes. ''You look beautiful tonight, '' Darklight said.

Luna blushed not knowing what to answer.

''It was great, especially since i havent seen you for almost 8 years. But we should get going, your sister might suspect something,'' He slowly begun standing up but Luna stopped him

''I dont want to go now,'' She said, ''I wish this could last forever.''

''We can do this again tomorrow you know, '' Darklight suggested.

''What if we cant do this tomorrow, what if i wont see you ever again. I havent seen you for years. And when i heard you were back from your journey i wanted to find you right away, but my sister didn't let me leave. She hates you and knows what your capable of. If she found out about this... about us... im not sure what she would do. She would probably have you hunted down an executed. And me locked up in my room for eternity, '' She sadly said. ''And even if my sister doesn't find out. I still have my Princess duties... I wish we could just run away. Get out of Equestria, find some good place to live and stay there, together. I wouldn't have to be parted from you ever again.''

''Why not?'' He asked.

''Why not what?'' Luna got lost.

''Why not run away? We could do it. Grab some things, escape the city, find a quiet place to live, '' Darklight said.

''You mean it? Your willing to.. You want to?'' Luna said surprised but partly filled with joy.

''Yes i do'' Darklight smiled for a second. ''Altho it wont be that easy. Your sister will send people to find you, she will try to locate you. Probably put a bounty on my head. But nothing we cant handle''

Luna stood up filled with joy and the stalion followed her lead,

''So when are we doing it?'' Luna asked

''Im always ready, its more up to you.'' He answered

''Next Sunday right after i raise the night. I will go to your house, '' Luna said

''So its a date'' Darklight smiled '' I cant believe we are doing this.

Luna was very excited, almost jumping around in joy.

''So i guess it is'' Luna said hugging him. ''Oh and one more thing''

Luna's and Darklights lips met in a kiss. Staying like that for a minute. Then they smiled at each other.

There was no need to say anything, it was all clear. Luna flied off back to the castle. The stalion stayed on the tower.

He lay down again, gazing at the rising sun, thinking of what will come next... Of what awaits him and the Princess.

A week passed since Darklights and Princesses meeting. The stalion was very busy planning everything for the big trip, he

knew he needed allies in this, the big question was who he could trust. Most of his friends got captured and were held in prison, some rotting with the rats, some executed or banished. He managed to set up some sort of crew to help him get out. And figured out a great strategy.

Sunday came, the sun was slowly going down, making room for the moon. Darklight was making final preparations.

Making sure they have enough supplies packed for the journey. Partly he was happy, but part of him was filled with worries. He sat down on his desk. And took a look arounds his home. It was a nicely decorated building. A house he inherited after his family, they died in a train accident before Darklight reached adulthood. On the wall lay a picture of him and his parents when he was small. That picture was very dear to him, but he decided not to take it on this dangerous journey.

He stood up from his desk and started walking toward a bookshelf. As he took a heavy book the bookshelf moved to the side revealing a passageway leading into the basement.

He walked down the wooden stairs to a empty room. The only thing that stood in it was a Iron chest. It was locked with a 10 diget code lock. The pony made his way to the box and put his hoof on the chest.

Suddenly he moved back. He whispered something to himself and went back upstairs. He put back the heavy book, and the passage closed.

He came to a window and peeked outside. The sun was down and the moon was raised. The sky was covered by a big layer of clouds covering the stars. He quickly made sure he had everything ready.

He stood at the door for about 20 minutes. Waiting for the doorbell to ring. Nothing happened.

The only thing he heard was 2 patrols passing by his house. Darklight started to be filled with even more worries, he went back to his desk and sat down. Looking at the door.

After 2 hours somebody was knocking loudly on his door, Darklight quickly rushed and opened it.

Infront of him stood Luna and four guards. Luna was beat up and needed two of the guards to support her. Two of the soldiers rushed into the building, pointing their spears at Darklight.

Luna's and Darklights eyes met. The visitors entered the building and closed the door. The guards were Celestia's royal guard. They put Luna to the ground. Making sure she cant move. The guards seemed to be waiting for someone, after 5 minutes of silence the door opened. The Capitan of the Guard entered.

He was famous around the city for his brutality and the way he treats his troops. He had a evil smile on his face.

''What is this!?'' Was the only thing Darklight could choke out of himself.

''The Princess is under arrested for treason against Celestia'' The Captain answered.

''Treason? What treason!? '' Darklight asked with anger in his tone.

''Oh you dont know? Well, for planning a rebellion with you off course, planning to murder millions and overthrow Celestia and name yourselves rulers of Equestria'' The Captain said.

''What? That is an absurd, we were never planning to do that! '' Darklight took a look at Luna again, she was covered in tears, hardly catching a breath. He looked back at the Captain, anger starting to swell up in his body.

''Yes it is an absurd, actually Princess Celestia just wants her gone. And now she has a great reason. '' The Captain answered with a evil laugh. ''Time for some fun, im personally in charge of executing you, and im going to make it slow and painfull, guards release the princess... oh i forgot, break her front legs too, so these two lovebirds wont get a idea of running away''

''YOU CANT DO THIS! SHE IS INNOCENT! IT WAS ALL MY IDEA! YOU CANT HURT HER! '' Darklight begged the guard, his eyes filling with tears of thinking of what will happen soon, of what he got Luna into. He felt like it was his fault. If he never agreed to running away this wouldn't have happened.

The Guards put Luna to her hind legs and grabbed her by the mane pulling her up,

''NO PLEASE NO!'' Luna shouted,

but the guards didn't listen. The grabbed her front legs and prepared themselves. After 5 seconds of Lunas struggling a loud crack could be heard.

Luna was crying loudly in pain, Darklight was trying to stop them but with no use. The guards dropped Luna to the ground leaving her defenseless, her front legs were bent the wrong way. She was screaming in pain.

The guards stepped aside and Darklight galloped to her quickly, Kneeling down next to her trying to hug her and calm her down.

It slowly started working but the Captain grabbed Darklight and pushed him away.

''Enough for you two, she shall be taken to the castle, there tomorrow she will be executed. If you think we will carry her or let you carry her your wrong. She will be dragged to the castle. By her back hooves. And you will stay here. We will lock you and burn you alive, forcing her to watch it.'' The Captain said to Darklight.

''NOOO!! Dont burn him alive! At least be done with it and burn both of us! '' Luna shouted.

''But where is the fun in that? We wont get to see you cry and beg for us to save him. ''The Captain answered happily.

The guards begun to drag Luna out. Darklight tried to smile at Luna to try and cheer her up, before she was out he shouted to her'' Dont worry i will find you and kill everyone who did you any wrong, ''And everyone exempt Darklight and the Captain left.

''Well im going to enjoy this'' The Captain said, he grabbed a lamp from the table and dropped it into a pile of things. Then he left, closing the door shut behind him.

Luna's screams could be heard from outside the house. Darklight stood there, thinking that everything that will happen to Luna was his fault. He couldn't forgive himself. The image of her hind legs broken and her pain remained in his head. He Didn't care of whats next to him or whats happening. He fell to the ground and more tears started welling in his eyes.

Suddenly he remembered his promise to Luna, he started being filled with Anger and Revenge. He stood up, took a look around himself, fire surrounded his whole house, suddenly a big wave of heat hit him, and a layer of smoke started forming above him. He realized the situation he is in and immediately turned to the bookcase.

It was his only way out of this mess that he could think of, but it was too late, part of the roof collapsed on the bookshelf making it unreachable.

Now he was stuck, out of ideas but not giving up yet. His need to avenge Luna covered his fear.

Darklight continued looking around for any way of escape, or at least finding a weapon. His eyed locked on the kitchen, that was not yet on fire, several knives lay on the counter next to his furnace.

The stalion quickly dashed toward the kitchen, not caring about fire or smoke. Anything that got in his way he jumped over. He was at the counter and took hold of a long kitchen knife, he knew that was all he needed, but getting out was still not possible. Especially with guards all around the building, he looked above himself and noticed the roof crumbling and ready to fall any second, he quickly jumped under the counter.

The roof fell, but he was not stuck yet. Luna's screams and crying could be heard even lauder, she probably thought he was dead, because she started screaming Darklights name. But Darklight had to remain quiet.

Even thou he had a big urge to go out there and kill everyone just there, but he knew he couldn't, he was focused on his plan. He heard Luna being being dragged away and the guards laughing.

Darklight waited for about 10 more minutes and he got out from under the counter. His whole house lay in ruins, some parts were still burning. But he didn't care, the only thing he cared about was finding and saving Luna. Darklight quickly ran down the streets toward the castle, he knew it wouldn't be easy at night, but he didn't care. He knew if he stops or waits then it might be too late.

After about 20 minutes he reached a gate, it was crawling with patrols. He knew he couldn't get past alone. Then Darklight remembered about the people who agreed to help him. The stalion turned around and started running toward his new target, looking back at the gate. He quickly reached his destination, the same inn he found one of Luna's men who gave him the message. Darklight quickly opened the door and went inside. He saw his team waiting, then he turned his attention to someone he did recognize, something from long ago, but he couldn't make out who. It was one of Luna's personal guards. He seemed tiered and hurt. The inn was silent and almost empty exempt for Darklights friends.

Darklight feel to the floor from exhaustion.

Two hooded ponies helped him out and sat him on a chair, and gave him a drink.

After about a minute of silence Darklight spoke. ''They, they, they have Luna!''

''We know Darklight, we have been informed'' One of the hooded figures spoke.

''From who? When?'' Darklight asked.

One of Luna's guard stood up. ''From me, Captain of Luna's guard Celestia somehow found out about the plan, i dont know how or who, Luna only informed her most trusted guards, in that me, she left with a escorted by me and four others, the rest were left in the castle, most of the group didn't know what was happening, somewhere on the road we got attacked by other guards. In that the captain of the guard. My troops were slaughtered, Luna and me tried to run away, when she got pinned by one of the chasers she told me to leave her and go to the rally point, so i came here, I also had some of my troops escape from the castle and they informed me that all of Luna's personal guard was killed in the castle, we didn't expect anything like this''

''She got captured... they, they did terrible things to her, they beat her up and broke her front legs, she also thinks im dead because she saw my house burn down with me inside it, we need to do something quickly!'' Darklight said

'' We better wait it out till tomorrow and strike'' A noter of the hooded ponies spoke.

'' We cant wait till tomorrow! No telling what Celestia will do to her in that time! '' Darklight shouted at his companions.

''He is right, we cant wait longer, enough bad has been done to her already '' One of Luna's guards spoke.

'' But how do we strike now, is anyone here a master thief or something? '' A noter of the companions spoke.

From the very edge of the bar a black mare with a silver mane stood up, she was wearing a cloak like the others but her hood was off. ''Yes we do, Darklight here is a Assassin, he can get into anywhere, along with me by his side offcourse'' He spoke and then turned to Darklight'' Hello Dark'y long time no see. ''

''Hello Silver, and you know im long done with me being an assassin, i promised Luna to stop, i cant possible get back to it, '' Darklight answered, after a pause he added. '' And besides i need equipment, ''

''Well equipment is not your problem here'' Silver took out a bag and put it on a table infront of him. Inside it lay a arsenal of freshly sharpened weapons and other gadgets. ''I dont leave without it, ''

''Still, im no longer an assassin, i havent been for years, i have got out of shape, '' he said.

'' Well then lets not call it you becoming an assassin again but call it you using your assassin skills to free Luna and kill Celestia '' Silver said while picking out weapons from the bag.

''Alright... now that we got equipment set, we need a plan '' Darklight said. '' And i think i got one, alright, Captain how many troops do you have that survived? ''

''Around 15, i also have 3 troops undercover in the castle.'' The Captain answered.

''How about you guys? How many came? '' Darklight asked Silver.

''Six '' She answered.

''Alright, here is the plan, captain the 15 of your troops here draw the attention to the main gate, the undercover troops will open one of the windows on the back of the second floor, then Me, Silver and the rest shall infiltrate the castle, when the situation gets overwhelming, retreat Captain '' He said to Silver and the captain. Then Darklight turned to Silver and the rest of his friends. '' Guys once we are in we will need to cause some trouble outside the throne room, that will probably cause Celestia's bodyguards, in that the captain of the watch to cease off the throne room and have them stuck, thats when we strike, Silver you dont cause trouble, you stick with me... and then cause trouble. '' Darklight finished.

''Alright lets do this, '' said Silver. Everyone else in the room agreed.

''Lets do this... '' Darklight repeated, after that he started looking threw the gadgets Silver brought. He ended up taking a poisoned dagger, climbing boots, and a dark cloak, also a grappling hook.

It took about 10 minutes for the whole team to get ready and to re-discuss the plan's. Darklight put on his equipment.

He hid his dagger in his cloak, and also he decided to take one more knife in case he looses his primary weapon.

The team left toward the castle, the clock tower just hit midnight. As they got to the first gate it wasent hard to notice what happened here, Lunar and Celestial guards lay dead all around, the gate was destroyed, and shouts of battle could be heard from further away. Luna's guards were doing as they were told, now it was time for Darklights part in this, the team moved along and tried to spot a open window. And there it was, a open window on the back side of the castle. Darklight and his friends gathered right below the window.

''Alright, when i give the mark that wont be hard not to notice, you guys cause trouble, Silver you stick with me at all times. ''

The team agreed and started throwing up their grappling hooks to the window, they slowly started climbing.

''So how did you meet? I mean the princess and you, and why is she so important to you, '' Silver asked while they were climbing.

''Well, you know i had a sad childhood, when i reached adulthood i wanted to commit suicide, the same day i was about to do so, i saw her, walking down the street, our eyes met, i can remember that day like it was now, i can still see it, i had a sudden crush on her, on the princess, i decided not to kill myself yet, i had a new goal in life, that was being close to her, i never expected her to find interest in me, i decided to try and get into her personal guard, I joined the equestrian guard, i quickly gained my ranks, after a short time i got chosen to the castle guard, later she chose me to her personal guard, my goal was complete and i swore to myself to protect her with my life, and to the princess too, '' Darklight answered. ''I know it sounds very stupid.''

'' No it doesn't, it was a good goal in life i suppose, but how did you two get so close? '' Silver asked again very into the story.

''I ended up becoming Captain of the Lunar guard, i was in charge of protecting her, still every time me and Luna met we both got shy, i didn't know why, i thought she just had something to be shy next to guards, but it turned out she liked me back since the moment we met too, we started hanging out more, i guess we both loved each other since then but none of us was brave enough to meet one a noter in the eye and tell their feelings, turned out she was secretly helping me in getting into her guard just so she could see me more often, even if it was without a word. '' Darklight finished his story just as they reached the window.

''Well im happy for you, and i will try to do everything to help you out here, '' Silver said to him and started looking around, she's never been in the castle before, so she was shocked by the beautiful interior and colored windows. But Darklight was used to this place and knew its each corner..

''Alright split up and await my signal '' Darklight said and signed for Silver to follow him.

They walked threw a long corridor, they were locked on their primary target now, as they were about to turn to a corridor Darklight heard a familiar voice and stomping of steel boots. He quickly grabbed his companion and hid behind a statue.

'' Send more troops to the gate, those guards are cutting down our men like their nothing, hell, those men are nothing! '' It was The Captain of the Celestial guard, he was angry and a little stressed.

'' Its all because of the way we treated that princess, i bet her boyfriend is still alive and that im his target, he probably organized all this and is in the castle as we speak, '' He told the guard to leave him, he went out the balcony and took a deep breath and leaned on the barrier. Darklight was filled with anger, he jumped out of his hiding spot and unto the balcony, he used his horn to start choking The Captain, the anger started taking control of Darklight, he put his enemy to the ground and started stomping on his bone joints breaking them at once, the captain shouted in pain, again lifted the captain had fear and pain in his eyes, it was the '' Please spare me ''' look in his eyes, but Darklight didn't care, he charged him with his horn forward at once stabbing him in the lungs and hitting him off the balcony, the fall was long and it was sure The Captain didn't survive. Darklight stood there, on the edge panting and his anger slowly leaving him.

Chaos started happening around the castle. Silver stood there at the entrance, shocked of what she just saw, she's never ever in her life has seen Darklight like that. He quickly got up and went out of the balcony, she quickly following him. They walked across the corridors. To Silver they seemed like a maze, and her companion was like a map, guiding her threw. Soon Darklight stopped and turned to a wall, she didn't know why and what interest he had in the wall, seconds later it was clear, he was looking for some sort of button, switch to do something. Silver stayed there silent, looking at Darklights work, he was not in any way she remember him from years ago. She started thinking of how he changed, and how she first met him. She remember it well.

Silver and Darklight used to go to the same school and to class together for years. She's had a crush on him since 8th grade, he was one of the best looking stallions in school, but sadly he was the most bullied kid in school. He was hated by everyone, all the girls looked with disgust at him. And all the boys pushed him aside and had fun making fun of him. So she was scared to tell anyone her feelings, she knew that if she would, then the whole school would be against her.

But she still observed the boy closely threw the years. He was always the shy and harmless kid, never to do anything wrong.

He adored nature, and didn't want to harm anything alive. She saw him often sitting on trees alone, always closed in his mind of sadness, sometimes crying. Silver really wanted to talk to him, show him a smile, make his life better. But she simply couldn't make herself do it.

After 9th grade Darklight was moved to a noter school. They never got to speak to each other then.

Years and years later, they met again. In a very unusual situation. It happend that Silver was coming back from a friends house after dark. On the way she got found by a group of rapists and killers. They took her to an alleyway  and intended to do their dirty business. She managed to give out several screams but they shut her up by wrapping a piece of cloth around her mouth. She was raped. After the gang was done they cut her body and left her to die.

It was the most horrifying experience of her life, she was slowly bleeding out and knew she had no chance of surviving.

But she still prayed, that someone would come and saver her.

And so he came. Darklight found her in the alleyway, he reacted quickly stoping her bleeding and wrapping the wounds up. Then he took her to his house, he cleaned her up and put in his own bed. She remained in shock and didn't really know what was happening until the morning of the next day.

Silver woke up late the next day. Her dreams were filled with nightmares and memories of what just happened to her. But along her side on a chair sat a pony she recognized quickly, the one she always wanted to see by her side and have a chance to talk to, he was awake and it was sure that he spent the whole night watching over her. Next to her lay a tray with ready breakfast. She couldn't say a word, she was still in shock. She stayed like that for 3 more days.

Every day she was taken care of, the pony rarely left her side, always cheering her up in case she cried, helping her in any of her needs.  On the 4th day she woke up early unlike the other days, nobody was next to her and the sound of cooking could be heard. Silver got out of bed on her own and walked downstairs, she saw Darklight preparing breakfast. He didn't notice her until he finished making the meal, he put it on a tray and was about to go upstairs. When he turned around he was surprised by seeing his guest standing on the stairs staring at him, he knew she must have stood there for a while.

''Nice to see you are better now, come on down and sit by the table'' Darklight said, putting the tray on the table and taking a seat. Silver slowly came down and took a seat opposite of him. They remained silent until after she finished up her meal.

''Thankyou, for everything you have done for me, '' She finally ended up saying in a very silent and shy tone.

''It was nothing, i couldn't have just left you there now could i? ''Darklight answered. ''I just wish i came sooner.''

''It was not your fault, even if you would have came earlier, then you would'ave been dead, '' Silver answered trying to cheer him up. Darklight didn't respond to that. He remained sad with guilt in his soul.

''Your the stalion i remember from school, Darklight am i right, '' She shyly spoke. He was very uncomfortable with the question, he remember school perfectly as the worst time of his life. Every single bully remained in his mind.

''I guess everyone remembers the biggest dumb idiot with no life, best off dead to make everyone happy. '' Darklight answered with some anger in his voice.

''Thats now how i remember you. I remember a nice boy with a caring heart, that i always wanted to meet but never had the chance to. '' Silver said with a caring voice. A smile appearing on her head

''You, you really, though so? For all those years? '' Darklight said, he was unfamiliar with a smile, it was something somebody hasn't showed to him in a while.

''I still think so, '' Silver said and came closer to Darklight. ''You are still the nice boy with a caring heart that i saw in school ''

He had a small blush, he has never been treated so kindly by anyone in his life. It was something new to him, he responded with something that came naturally to him, with a smile, it was something he has never ever shown before to someone else. It felt great to him.

''And i mostly appreciate what you have done for me over the days, i couldn't have asked for better help, you were always there by me when i needed someone close, '' Silver finished.

They talked for several more minutes. They became friends. But now that his guest was more healed up Darklight said that he had something to do and that he had to go, probably coming back tomorrow in the morning. So he did and Silver handled herself on her own, the morning he came back she prepared breakfast for him and made sure to keep him company.He seemed very mysterious. Later that day she happened to find a newspaper for the current day on the table, Silver read it and was shocked by the front page. '' 6 Ponies found dead, reason of murder unknown and so is the killer, the bodies were found dumped in alleyways with deep wounds on their stomachs and their male reproduction organs cut off and hung next to the victims, it was painful to even watch, '' Silver read to herself silently. She looked at the pictures of the victims and recognized each one of them, she knew what happened and who did this.

She went downstairs and to the sofa seeing Darklight asleep, she fixed his blanket and gave him a small nuzzle without waking him up and whispered a noter thank you into his ear and went back upstairs.

On the 6th day when Silver came down for Breakfast it was already set on the table. Darklight was putting on some sort of uniform and armor. She was surprised, on his chest he wore a badge of the Captain of The Lunar Guard.

''Your a personal guard to the princess Luna? ''Silver asked.

''Im in charge of Lunas personal guard to be more exact, '' He answered.

''That was the last thing i expected to find out about you, when your back can you help me? '' She asked once more.

''Help you in what, '' Darklight was a little lost.

''You know how to fight and defends yourself and other people, since your in the royal guard, '' Silver said. ''And from what i think so far you are also an assassin, i saw the newspaper and the people who, you know what, were killed by someone, i know it was you so dont try to deny it, ''

''Alright, that is true, so i guess you want me to train you in the arts of stealth and assassination, but also in defense? '' He asked.

''If thats okay with you, yes, '' she said.

''Alright we can start first thing next week, i suggest you go to your home and family now, i informed them of your tragedy and where your at yesterday, i also said your good to go home, '' Darklight slowly started walking out the door but Silver had one more question on her mind.

''So since your Captain of Lunas guard how did you have time to spend all this time healing me up, staying by my side all this time? ''

''I happened to have a free week because i broke my hind hoof while chasing down a criminal. '' Darklight answered and turned back around said goodbye and left out threw the door.

Over the years Darklight tough Silver his skills, thats how she ended up becoming an assassin by his side, and a really good friend. It stayed like that, she never told him her real feelings. After all those years she kept it to herself.

In her mind it seemed like seconds of memories, but it has been 5 minutes and Darklight still couldn't find the button.

She felt a little tiered on her legs and leaned against the wall, suddenly a loud click noise could be heard, quickly jumping away both of them noticed the wall collapsed a little and a hidden door opened. Silver wanted this over, but she also realized that if they enter, they might not come back out alive. Before Darklight entered she gave him a strong hug and a small nuzzle. ''For luck, or just in case we dont go back out. ''

He hugged her back and said. ''Its nice to have you by my side now, ''

They entered the passage that quickly lead to above the throne room. Inside was Princess Celestia surrounded by a lot of guards. Threw the door Luna was dragged and thrown infront of her.

''Looks like Darklight is going to get you, you ugly witch, your as good as dead. '' Luna shouted at her sister.

''He wont dare touch me, because if he does then he looses you. '' Celestia answered calmly.

''Well either way i end up dead, ''Luna said.

''Yes you do, so i feel extremely safe right now, because i can do anything i want to you, just so he gets his lesson, even if he does end up saving you then he wont keep you for long, i wont ever understand what you see in him, is he worth all this suffering from your side? ''Celestia picked her sister up with magic, Darklight was not sure if this was a simple levitation spell, suddenly Luna started screaming out in pain, it seemed to come out of nowhere.

Darklight couldn't take it anymore, tears started gathering in his eyes from watching her in pain. He quickly broke down the bars holding him up above the room and jumped between Luna and Celestia quickly using some spell to break the magic chain between them. Silver also jumped down but on top of the 2 guards holding Luna, but the door to the throne room got suddenly got shut behind them.

Celestia laughed. ''Hello Darklight, nice to see you and your friend... dropped in... i was beginning to doubt you would come, but you cant resist a princess, i swear this is just like fishing, choosing the right bait to catch a certain kind of fish, '' Celestia had a very evil grin on her face. ''And then you butcher the fish and cook it on a fire...oh i will look toward the last 2 parts. ''

''Shut up you psychopathic whore, i have enough of you, its time you pay for all the things you did wrong to Luna, in the name of The Lunar Guard you are under arrest and sentenced to death, ''

''Well notice i have guards of my own, and they outnumber you, if you wish to die then be my guest... Guards, kill him, and his companion too. ''

Everyone in the room suddenly drew their weapons. Darklight took out his 2 knifes with magic and Silver a double bladed dagger. They were in battle ready pose, slowly getting surrounded by Celestia's guards. Their center of defense was

Luna still recovering from her pain, the guards didn't waste time and started the attack, a battle begun in the throne room.

Darklight quickly counted the enemies, about 13 troops stood around him, half attacked leaving the other half to intervene in case something goes wrong, Silver didn't hesitate, she jumped straight into offense before the guards had a chance to respond she cut about 2 down. 3 guards faced Darklight, they all attacked at once luging their weapons forward, But The Assassin quickly teleported behind them and cut down 2 of them sticking the 2 knifes deeply into their necks, they fell to the ground choking on their blood, then he picked up one of the guards sabers and finished off the last one just as he turned around.

Silver was doing fine, she also killed all of the attackers on her. The rest of the guard didn't dare to come close the two killing machines.

''Go on, kill them!'' Celestia shouted, but the soldiers didn't move.

Darklight slowly walked up to the throne on wich she sat. He picked up his dagger and quickly lunged it toward her with magic. It stabbed her right in the heart, Celestia looked down at herself, slowly loosing her strength, she dropped dead without a noter word.

Then something nobody expected, suddenly the dead princess started glowing green, her skin becomes black and holes start appearing all over her body. It was a Changeling, it was the last thing anyone in the room expected. Silver has never seen one before, but she was not excited in any way. Darklight had dealt with them before, when he served as Royal Guard. Both Silver and him got worried. Suddenly the door to the throne room opened. In it stood Celestia and a army of guards aiming crossbows at them.

''Arrest these people, and you shall be forgiven your traitory. '' She said to the guards in the room

''Oh come on dont listen to her, she had your friends killed so she could keep a changeling alive, your friends died just so she could cover up her plan, '' Darklight spoke to the soldiers.

''Dont listen to this fool, he will get you all killed if you surrender to him, ''An argument started between them

''All she will do is boss you around, probably execute you and replace you with changelings, just so nobody will know of what happened here, ''

The last thing Darklight said made them choose their side, they had their spears pointed at Celestia's guards.

''We are under the orders of The Lunar guard, '' One of the guards said.

''Oh i dont have time for this '' Said Celestia and ordered her troops to put everyone down with arrows.

The guards released their bolts into the throne room, within seconds Darklight jumped infront of Silver and Luna blocking all the arrows off them. He fell to the ground with 5 arrows in him, both Luna and Silver let out a small squeal of horror. Silver quickly stood up lifting her blade at the remaining guards, without a chance Celestia grabbed her with magic and tossed her out the window without a warning. The only people alive was Luna and 3 guards covering her, they were ready to pay with their lives, a noter wave of bolts was released and so they did.

To Darklight everything was blurry. All he could see was Luna slowly being picked up and taken away, he could hear her screaming for him, so that he stood up and showed that your not that easy to kill, suddenly Lunas eyes started glowing, A dark mist surrounded the castle and the throne room, suddenly she broke free from the guards and slowly started floating, she transformed into something Darklights never seen in her, it was like a spirit filled with anger and destruction. What he knew as Luna suddenly attacked Celestia with fierce spells pushing both of them to fight in the air outside the castle, suddenly it turned to night.

Darklight lied there, some guards cuffed him up in heavy chains, making sure he had no chance of escape alone.

Loud fighting could be heard from the outside. It took about 15 minutes of light flashing lights and explosions. By the end Celestia came back with a beaten Luna levitating next to her, she put her on the ground next to Darklight, she quickly regained her strength and stood up, she looked at Darklight's wounds. She had tears slowly gathering in her eyes, they pressed their heads together and gave each other a small nuzzle. They remained like that for some time.

''I had a great plan, but you killing the Captain of the guard didn't help, but now i have something better for both of you, its the biggest torture i can give, '' Celestia spoke. '' I shall banish Luna to the moon using The Elements of Harmony, also wipe her mind off any memories she had with you Darklight, and for you i will simple put you in the deepest dungeon to rot in until you die, dont thank me its the least i can do, you two will never see each other again, she wont have to deal with the pain of being separate from you, and you will burden double the pain by knowing she wont be there for you ever again, and that you shall die alone and in pain. ''

''No! You cant do that sister! Please dont! At least let us die next to each other! '' Luna protested.

''Luna...''

''Whatever you do just please dont part us like this! ''

''Luna....''

''Why cant you just let us go leave far away from you? Why cant i live a life i want to live! ''

''Luna...'' Darklight really raised his voice. ''Dont worry, i will see you again, even if you dont remember me, i will remember you, and i will always be next to you, even when you dont know it, i swear i shall not die until i see you again. ''

''Touchy really '' Celestia mocked them. ''Its time you two say goodbye for forever. ''

They got parted but the only thing they did was stare into each others eyes, Darklight managed to give out a smile towards Luna, she tried to smile back but she just couldn't. ''Goodbye'' Darklight whispered to himself.

Celestia quickly used the elements and a beam shot at Luna she disappeared.

''So how are you going to explain this to the people? You think they wont suspect something?'' Dark asked.

''Off course they wont, i shall tell them that she turned evil and tried to take over Equestria and have night last forever. '' She answered. ''The spell shall work for a thousand years, after that it will weaken and she will be back, but you sadly wont be around to see it. ''

''We will have to see that, '' Darklight answered.

The guards grabbed him.

''One more thing to you'' Celestia turned to the guards. ''Crush his horn off. ''

Two of the soldiers held him down against the floor, suddenly a third one came and positioned himself with his hoof on Darklights horn. With a quick stomp he broke it off.

Darklight felt a lot of pain, but he kept it to himself, the guards grabbed him again and took him to his cell, so that he would remain there until he died.
