Chapters

The First Chapter in the Series

Sulking through the Everfree forest at three o'clock in the morning Is not fun, especially when you just got your flank handed to you by a certain purple unicorn.  It wasn't even an Ursa Major!  I actually defeated an Ursa Major, but no one believes me. I kept saying "Check the bottom of the lake north of Manehatten if you want proof!" but noooooo, they were too busy with their rich people problems to deal with me. I mean, Why would somepony not believe "The Great and Powerful" Trixie? You don't just get that title for nothing, you know? But I guess it's hard to believe that you singlehoofedly saved all of Equestria  from a zombie pony outbreak when it was never documented. There was a parade in my honor for Celestia's sake! We lost the whole city of Marelanta. How the BUCK did nopony get all that down on paper?

Who cares? I'm too tired to complain anymore. I just wish I had a stable home, a family, and a steady income. but I guess I'll just keep going town to town trying to find a nice stallion to settle down with. I thought for sure somepony would like it if I acted full of myself and talked in the third person, I'll just go ahead and mark that off my list. But I do have to admit that I pulled it off really well. Maybe I should just have an annoying pony as a cutie mark instead of this stupid wand. What's the point of having a cutie mark that means you're good at magic when no pony will ever believe you, or even give you the chance to give them a good show.

I think I'm going to just lie down in the muck, leaves, and what I hope is mud, try to get some sleep, and "AHHH! What the BUCK was that!?" I swear to Luna I just saw something moving around in those bushes.

The Second Chapter in the Series

"Is someone there? I have magic and I'm not afraid to use it!"Yelled Trixie in a very scared and shaky tone, after jumping behind a tree.

"Yeah, I'm here, now could you please come over here and help me out!?"

"I didn't know there talking bushes in the Everfree forest."Trixie walked closer to the mysterious talking shrub, amazed, having never seen anything like this before

"Yep, I'm a talking bush. Or maybe there is someone stuck inside the bush, and has been stuck here for five days now waiting for someone to help it!"

Trixie, now feeling very stupid, ran over to the bush to save the poor creature that was trapped. She looked in between the sticks and leaves but saw nothing.

"Over here." said the voice from the left side of the bush. Trixie opened up the part of the bush where the voice came from and saw a little green ball with four wings and big bright blue glassy eyes. She pulled away the twigs surrounding the little green thing letting it fly up into the air, it then did tricks and spins celebrating it's newly found freedom.

"I cannot thank you enough, It seems like I've been stuck in there forever. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

"Umm, you're welcome. Do you mind if I ask what you are exactly?" Trixie had never seen anything other than ponies and dragons speak.

The little ball looked at Trixie with a surprised look. "Wait, have you never seen a parasprite before? I guess that's a good thing though, seeing how we destroy pretty much everything everywhere we go."

"How can something so small destroy everything? You don't look so tough."

"Well first of all, thanks for the complement. And second, when we eat something we multiply... well most of us."

"What do you mean most of us?"

"I probably shouldn't say most of us, actually it's everyone...but me." he tilted his head down as he said the last part. (actually he just tilted his whole body). "It's so hard being the only one of your kind that can't reproduce. And don't even get me started on the looks I got from my family when I started to speak another language!"

"Where is your family anyway?" asked Trixie, hoping that she might be able to help him get back to whatever home he might have.

"Well, The last time I saw them they were chasing after a yellow pegasus hoping she might have some spare food to give us. I stayed back at my home because I was tired, and haven't seen them since."

"You never told me where your home is by the way?"

"Oh yeah, It's about a mile that way." The parasprite nodded his head to the right.

"Why did you come all the way out here, were you looking for something?"

"Let's just say that manticores don't really care about who was living some were before them. I was chased all the way out here and accidentally got stuck in this bush."

"And you've been stuck out here without anything to eat for five days?"Trixie said, astonished at how he was still alive.

"Well, we don't exactly have to eat, we just do it to make a family."

"Well do you want to see if your family is back?"

"Sure, you can come if you want. My name is Randall by the way."

The Third Chapter in the Series

"I knew it! I knew they were going to leave me sooner or later!" Yelled Randall, turning a dark greenish-red color.

"Calm down, I'm sure they didn't mean to leave you. Maybe they just got lost and forgot the way back home." Said Trixie in a calming tone, trying to get Randall to stop hitting his head against a tree in a fit of rage.

"Or maybe they hate any parasprite who's different! It's just like ponies who don't like zebras. Just because they're striped doesn't mean they're evil!" Screamed Randall.

"I guess it also wasn't because of those three." Trixie said flatly as she pointed a hoof to four huge fully grown sleeping manticores.

Randall's jaw dropped just before he started screaming at the top of his lungs again "That's the one who chased me!" and with that he bolted off toward the manticore, what he was going to do once he got there was beyond him, but he was to angry to care.

"Whoa there! What are you trying to do, get us eaten or something?" Trixie held him in the air with her magic. "We need to get you back to your family. Where do you think they would've went?"

"Trixie... I'm not so sure if I want to go back to my family."

Trixie gasped. "What?! No family? How could you say that?" Said Trixie very surprised. "Everypo-, err... Everyparasprite should have somepara- I'm not saying that every time! Everypony should have somepony to love and care for."

"How can you love somepony if you can't even speak their language?"

"Why did you stay with them if you can't even speak paraspritineze... paraspritian... paraspri-"

"It's just parasprite, and I stayed with them because I have nowhere else to go. If I went to stay in a town with ponies, they would all just think I was so adorable and want to keep me as a pet. Before I knew it they would've been making me do tricks like a dog. I already can't reproduce, so I don't need 'Common House Pet' added to my list of failures."

"Look, I'm not letting you stay out here in the Everfree forest all by yourself." said Trixie in a stern tone. "Why don't you tag along and keep me company? The long walks from town to town get really boring, and it would be nice to have somepony else to talk to besides myself for a change. So... would you like to come along?"

Randall paused for a moment, thinking over to pony's offer."...I'v been trapped in a bush for five days, my whole family left without me, and my home has been overrun by manticores...Yep, my life sucks! I guess I'll come with you. It has to be better then being alone in the Everfree forest for the rest of your life."

"YAY!" squealed Trixie, as she brought Randall into a hug that almost popped him.

"I'm...exited...too...Trixie." squeezed out Randall.
