Chapter 1: The beginning.
Well I bet you are all wondering how I ended up here in Equestria. I didn’t even mean to come here in the first place, but things don’t happen for any reason. It was a Friday night. The wind was gently blowing through the yard as it coursed through my long black hair, rippling it like a ghostly comb. I stared up at the sky with my bright blue eyes. It was a beautiful night. The moon was full and not a cloud struck the perfect formation of the stars. I kept my gaze around the area of the moon. I never have seen anything more beautiful. I was usually isolated in my house for my dad was an abusive father. I was always on the run from him, but he always found a reason to find me, and strike me with his hard fists. He never loved me like a normal father. He never talked about getting me anything, for we were a poor family that lived in a tiny town. As I looked in to the stars, a loud crashing noise came from the direction of my house. I looked up quickly to see the door had opened and my dad was standing at the door. The light of the kitchen seemed to show his silhouetted figure. I knew he was angry, he always struck a pose with balled fists when he was. But there was something different this time. In one of his hands, he held up a big rusty machete.
“CHRIS, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!” He boomed brandishing the machete. I dared not respond or move. Movement attracts the eye, and that was not at all what I wanted. He continued to look around until he spotted me. He stomped his way over holding the large steel blade high as he did.
“WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING THIS LATE AT NIGHT!” He said grabbing the collar of my shirt.
“I was admiring the stars.” I said in almost a whisper.
“The hell you were!” My dad said holding up the machete. I didn’t resist his grip for I knew I was done for. If my dad can strike me with his fists, he can sure as hell strike me with a machete. I closed my eyes awaiting the painful blow. At first, I felt a thud on my leg, but then I felt the warm blood trickle down my leg and the excruciating pain that followed. I screamed in agony until he clamped his hand onto my face. He raised the machete once more, but then I spotted a shooting star. I wished for all my heart to live somewhere else. Somewhere where everyone there would treat me normally, somewhere with love, and friendship. Suddenly, a bright flash ignited as my dad let go of my collar. I fell back grabbing my knee eyes shut from the pain. All I remember then from that night was just the agony of the opened wound on my leg, and the bright flash, but this was just the beginning.
Chapter 2. The arrival.
I awoke suddenly in an open field of tall un-cut grass. I sat up and scratched my head, wondering what had happened. I attempted to stand up, but then an excruciating pain shot through my body. I suddenly remembered that my leg was cut open severely and needed medical attention fast. I was loosing a ton of blood, and I didn’t know where I was. I looked around hurriedly looking for a sign of civilization. But there were none. I sat up and put my hands in a cone shape to my mouth. “HELP ME, I CAN’T MOVE!” I yelled at the top of my lungs. My vision started to fade as I heard a thud next to me. A blue blur walked over to me and said in a female voice.
“What in all of Equestria happened to you?” I only could move my head by now for the amount of blood I lost. I only opened my mouth, and no sound came out. The blue form picked me up onto it’s back as it said; “Never mind, you need medical attention, fast!”
I awoke later in a hospital room. I looked around in a dazed state wondering what happened this time. This hospital looked different, in fact, it looked almost nothing like a normal hospital. I turned my head over to see a cyan Pegasus (a pony by the looks of it) with a Rainbow mane and crimson eyes. She smiled as I opened my eyes.
“Ah, good, your awake.” She said as I focused my eyes on her. I stopped myself from screaming; I never heard an animal talk, let alone ever seen a horse with a rainbow mane. I looked her in the eyes and calmed down.
“Are you the one that saved me?” I asked in an almost whisper.
“Yes, you lost a lot of blood from that leg of yours.” She said back in a kind tone. I smiled gratefully laying my head back on the pillow. I looked back at the ceiling picturing the stars from that night and sighed.
“Where am I?” I asked the pony. She smiled back to me in a cheerful way.
“I haven’t introduced myself yet silly.” She said as she cleared her throat. “My name is Rainbow Dash. I am the best flyer in all of Ponyville.” I smiled back.
“My name is Christian Statcher. I am, well, a person who has been isolated for my entire life.” I said back frowning at these last words. But then the nurse came in.
“Ah, you are up and about I see.” She said smiling.
“Uh, yeah.” I said dumbly. She came over to me and started pulling tubes off of my body.
“You are free to go now. Just take it easy in that leg of yours.” She said as she un-wrapped a bandage. I leaped off the bed and shuffled my feet for a bit, wondering if I could put weight on it. I smiled satisfied as I sat in a wheelchair to be brought out of the hospital.
“Why don’t you show me around town Rainbow Dash?” I asked looking at her.
“I would be more than happy to.” She said back as she pushed the chair to the exit door.
