"What?!"

Rainbow shouts out in total surprise. Never in her life she would think that Pinkie would actually accept this dare.

Her and Pinkie have been having a "Prank slash Dare slash Challenge slash Battle slash War slash Slash" (was Pinkie's idea for the official name) for several weeks now, and each time they would up the stakes! Originally Applejack was in on it as well, but soon gave up when Pinkie dared her to plant a Pear Tree at her farm. Both Rainbow and Pinkie thought it was crazy for her to call it quits because of that, especially after the a Prank involving being shot out of a cannon had no effect on the cowpony.

Earlier today, Rainbow saw Fluttershy and Pinkie walking by. She noticed that Pinkie had a stick in her mouth, at first she thought that she was carrying some unique cotton candy with dark sprinkles all over it. But soon as she got closer she realized that it was actually a giant web ball with tiny spiders walking around on it. She also noticed a giant spider laying on Fluttershy's back. She didn't understand how such a timid pony could be so calm with something so creepy on their back. Fluttershy soon explained to her that Pinkie was helping her escort the spider back to the forest. She was about to say more but Pinkie interrupted her by jumping in and trying to talk with a mouthful, but nothing she said was understandable.

Rainbow began to tune her out when she came up with a sinister idea. She knew with this dare she could win it all. There was no way she could lose now! No pony was crazy enough to even think of it, let alone accept this dare! All Rainbow had to do, was say the magic words, and she knew she had it in the bag.

"Hey Pinkie, I dare you to eat that stick full of spiders!"

Aww yeah! She totally had this. No way Pinkie would ever do something so disgusting, and to living creatures too! With Fluttershy being there she knew the party pony would never harm another living creature on purpose. Well, she wouldn't do that anyways, but with the animal caregiver here she knew that she would never-

"Okie dokie!"

Before Rainbow could register what was happening, she watched as Pinkie spat out the stick and caught it with her hoof. Then opening her mouth widely, she took a big chomp out of the web. Her eyes widened in horror as she could saw Pinkie's cheeks puff out and slowly began chewing on it. Everything felt like it was in slow motion for Rainbow now, like she could see every detail of the spiders in her mouth being chewed by Pinkie's now bigger than ever teeth.

In Rainbow's mind, she can hear the screams and cries of every poor spider, asking her why she would ever dare the Pink Menace something so cruel for them. She trembled in fear as Pinkie loudly gulped, watching the lump go down her throat and into her stomach.

"What?!" was all the horrified pony could say.

Rainbow didn't actually think she would accept the dare!

She was hoping Fluttershy would stop Pinkie before she took another bite. But when she looked over, she saw something she could not believe.

Fluttershy. Was. Smiling!

She couldn't believe it! Her oldest and most timid friend was actually amused at something so cruel to animal life, and the spider on her back didn't seem to care either! Weren't they the spider's children?! Did Rainbow somehow end up in an alternate reality where this was a normal occasion?

After the second bite Rainbow felt like she was going to be sick. She couldn't stand to watch again as she turned away and tried her best to keep her lunch where it belonged.

"It's so yummy! I mean, I was going to wait until after we reached the forest for a snack, but I'm so glad you dared me to eat now! I was really hungry."

Pinkie... Pinkie planned to eat them before the dare?! Did she have some secret diet that Rainbow didn't know about? Did Fluttershy know about all this and was assisting her? She couldn't believe her two closest friends were in on this.

"Ooh, ooh! I know! Since you dared me to eat something so tasty, I'll dare you to finish it off! It's only fair for one of my bestest friends!"

Rainbow quickly turned her head to see that the half eaten web was closer then ever to her. She looked at Pinkie, where she saw a bit of a spider leg stuck on the side of her lip as she was smiling.

It was too much for her.

Pinkie and Fluttershy gasped as they saw Rainbow pass out on the spot.

After checking on her, they sighed in relief that she was okay.

"Oh, I wonder what made her pass out." Fluttershy spoke in a worried tone.

"Dunno, maybe she was just super duper tired and wanted to take a quick nap! It's surprising too, since she didn't even make it to a cloud this time!"

Pinkie began chewing on the web of spiders again. Fluttershy looked at her with amusement, and began to smile for her.

"It was really nice of you Shy to ask Ms. Spider to help me make my Nightmare Night cotton candy for this year. I couldn't have made the gummies look so real without a reference, and one up close really helped!"

"It was no trouble at all Pinkie, Ms. Spider loves to model and thinks its a great idea as treats for the foals."

Leaving Rainbow behind against the bench, the pair walked off into the forest to safely escort Ms. Spider back home. When they arrived, Pinkie watched Ms. Spider climb back to her home and watch her children moving around and gathering around their mother.

"It was really nice of Luna to teach Twilight the Inanimate Movement Spell so the gummies would move around on the cotton candy! I bet the foals will really get a kick out of this!" Pinkie shouted in excitement.

Fluttershy nodded in agreement, she knew Pinkie loved making the best treats for Nightmare Night. Especially since Pinkie loves collecting candy, she knows Pinkie wants to make the best of treats for the Cakes to hand out while she is away.

Heading back to town, they saw Rainbow still sleeping.

"Hmm, I should probably think of a dare for Rainbow for when she wakes up." Pinkie said as she put a hoof under her chin as she tried to think of one.

"I really want to win!"

Blame insomnia and me cleaning out my favorites folder on another site for this story. I really liked how it turned out though, just wish it was closer to Halloween though for it. Again, let me know if there's any errors on it!
