Chapter 1: New addition

New addition

"Mom?" Vinyl pranced around her mother, "Mooom?"

"What dear?"

"Can I open it?" Vinyl whined with pleading eyes.

Vinyl's mother gave an exasperated sigh, "Only one...but don't tell your father."

"Yay!" Vinyl ran to the hearth and looked over the brightly colored boxes, "I don't- uh...this one!" She pulled a mid sized box over and stabbed her horn into it, tearing the paper and revealing a simple cardboard box. Pulling back the flaps revealed a large plush doll, "Whoa...weird." She turned it over and over and over inspecting it, "What is it?"

Vinyl's mother walked over and laid with her foal, "It's called a Ben, it was the only one left and I knew you'd like it." She smiled warmly as Vinyl turned the doll over and looked at it.

"It has funny hooves," She set the doll on all fours and pranced it about with her magic. She started giggling like mad and ran around floating the doll next to her as she ran through the halls of her house. She was so rapt with her new she completely failed to notice her father until she slammed into his legs.

"Whoa there," The large stallion levitated his daughter upright, "What's goin on?" He asked with a laugh.

Vinyl panicked, she didn't want to lose her new toy mere moments after getting it, "Nothing!" She picked up the doll and bolted towards her room. She skidded in and rolled into a pile of dolls, bowling them over and littering the room in plush fur. With a pouty sigh she scanned her now messy room.

She shook free of the dolls and started levitating them clear. Once everything was back in place she found her new addition and carried it to her bed. She laid with her new doll and ran her hoof along the felt skin, "I like your mane." She cooed to the doll, "It's nice-"

"It's not a mane." Vinyl snapped to attention, hurling the doll across the room and shrieking. She dove behind her bed and hid, "Ow." The voice groaned from the pile it had landed in, "Been a while since I've been manhandled by so much magic."

Vinyl slowly crawled away from her hiding place, "What the hay...hello?"

"Good morning, or afternoon, or night. I can't actually tell." Vinyl slowly tiptoed to where Ben had landed, "Can you pull me out of this hole? I've been asleep for years and this whole being buried thing isn't much better."

Vinyl pulled the strange doll out of the pile he had landed in, "Whoa...this...is...awesome!" She hopped around like the filly she was, "It can talk! It can talk, this is so cool!"

"Indeed..." Ben grumbled, "Although, you could make it cooler." His words grabbed Vinyls attention. She hopped back on her bed with Ben and set him down on all fours, "Alright then, this isn't ideal but hey, I can't argue."

"Sorry." Vinyl mumbled, "So what's your name- wait, Ben! What are you!? Do you want to be friends!?" Vinyl frantically asked the stoic doll.

"Uh, sure? If you can help me. A little more magic could probably help me get out of this stupid doll."

Vinyl tilted her head, "Huh, but you are a doll."

A strange grumble came from the closed mouth of Ben, "Long story, look can you just- I don't know. Try something."

Vinyl scrunched up her muzzle, she'd heard about ponies making dolls dance with magic. Why couldn't she?

Vinyl crouched down and lit up her horn. She picked up Ben and started making him dance with her magic. His legs twitching and arms starting to grow less floppy, "Alright, humiliating but keep going!"

Vinyl pumped more magic through Ben, using him like a circuit and channeling as much of her power through him at once. A bit of sweat formed on her brow as she felt Ben burning with magical energy. She let out a shrill yell and flew back as Ben exploded into a bright white. She was thrown back off her bed, landing in a pile of pony shaped pillows.

A maniacal laugh started from the doll, "Yes! Yes, I am- still a doll. What the hell?" Vinyl scrambled out of the pile and clawed up to the bed. Ben was standing on his two felt feet and tugging on the clothes stitched to him, "Bugger. Well it's a start." Ben stood tall, quickly overshadowed by the filly. He stood about head height with Vinyls chin, "So, tiny and made of felt. Well at least I can finally move-" Ben was caught off guard as Vinyl pulled him against her barrel. His weak stuffing unable to pry him free.

"This is so cool!" Vinyl rolled onto her back and clutched the now mobile doll to her barrel, "It's like a miracle!" She rolled around her bed with Ben, smashing him between her and the bed, rubbing her body against the soft felt of Ben's entire body.

"I demand you let me-" Ben was quickly shut up as he was pulled free and held against Vinyls cheek. While his limbs were no functional he was still only felt and cotton stuffing, barely able to support his own weight, and completely unable to push himself free. His stitched mouth trapped in a perpetual smile as his internal thoughts ranged more towards the homicidal.

Vinyl settled down on her bed and curled her hooves around Ben, holding his waist against her and trapping him. He watched with annoyance as the lights quickly flicked off, leaving him pinned to this tiny pony, "Why couldn't she just kill me...no, had to be the stupid doll." Ben grumbled as he push against the fillies hooves, "Bloody magic, bloody ponies, bloody...blood." He slowly resigned himself to his fate and laid his upper body on the fillies hooves.

At least he could move now- well, not right now, but still it was something. Next step was finding a way to change my facial expressions. A few hundred years of wearing a dumb grin was not exactly dignified. He pondered this as the filly wrapped his closer, eventually pulling him against her face and falling asleep.

First thing when he got free was to find a full grown unicorn to help him get out of this stupid predicament. But all that would have to wait, he was still at the mercy of a little girl, a little girl about three times his size that could pick him up with an errant thought. Ben ran through his sordid life since his transformation. He eventually decided at least he was with a girl that might actually pay attention to him and not some collector that would utterly ignore him, granted right now he was going to be stuck here for a while until the filly wakes up. His thoughts dulled as he zoned out of reality and drifted off into his thoughts.
