Twilight Sparkle is the prestige student under Princess Celestia's direct mentorship who had taken everypony in in the nation by surprise. Naturally gifted in the art of magic, she has saved all of Equestria from eternal night, and it'd be impossible to record how invaluable her services have been to, namely, her friends. With such a title, she and her friends would surely be the talk of Canterlot once more as the Grand Galloping Gala rolls around, right?

... Well, yes. But not for the right reasons.

However, that's besides the point. Another year has passed, which means another handful of achievements are added to the great collection that is the studiously talented unicorn's accomplishments. Since moving in to Ponyville, the second Gala is beginning to peek around the corner, and Twilight Sparkle is invited once more - except this time, she's allowed only one guest. And, in a sudden turn of events, her positively perky, party-philiac pink pony friend, Pinkie Pie, has convinced Twilight to take her to the Gala. Since, Twilight believes, it can't be as bad as last year's.

After all, her intuition told her such. The intuition she gained from furiously bursting into flames, charging straight towards a disturbed hydra, tap-dancing over the brink of her sanity, and losing it completely not soon after.

Yeah... she had a good feeling about this.

This is a debut fic, so it's open to criticism of all kinds, though I mostly appreciate specifics. Anything sounding awkward, or misspelt, or if I'm destroying the planet with how bad this is.
